Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for the partial moistening of an interchangeable flat mop, in which the mop is attached to a mop holder and is attached to the mop holder by means of a mop handle and inserted into a moistening tub of a moistening device filled with a cleaning fluid.
- the invention relates to a cleaning device for carrying out the method with the mop, which can be fixed on a mop holder and which is fixed on the mop holder and can be inserted into a humidification trough of a humidification device by means of a mop handle, the humidification trough having a support device supporting the mop during the humidification process and is connected to a metering device which fills the humidification trough with a defined amount of a cleaning liquid for each humidification process, which is kept ready in a storage container assigned to the humidification trough.
- Such a method and such cleaning devices are known, for example, from US Pat WO 2018 091 357 A2 known.
- the mops are generally used only once and then cleaned otherwise, for example in a washing machine.
- This has many other cleaning devices where the Mop is cleaned and wrung out in the cleaning liquid, the advantage that the cleaning liquid is not contaminated by the dirt absorbed during the cleaning process.
- the mop With every wiping process, the mop is replaced and the dirty mops do not come into contact with the cleaning liquid. Accordingly, the dirt picked up during previous wiping processes is not passed on to the fresh mop heads via the cleaning liquid in later wiping processes and is again distributed on the surface to be cleaned. This achieves a very good cleaning result.
- Such cleaning devices are therefore used especially in professional applications, such as in hospitals, where the highest demands are placed on hygiene.
- the floor remains moist and either has to be dried in a second process or you have to wait until it has dried due to natural ventilation and evaporation.
- the latter is not an alternative, especially in frequently used premises. Due to the moisture of the cleaned surface, there is a risk of slipping on the one hand, and on the other hand, the cleaned surface is directly contaminated again when used in a moist state.
- the invention proposes, starting from a method of the type mentioned at the outset, that the mop is introduced into the cleaning liquid at an incline relative to the liquid level of the cleaning liquid, so that the edge region of the mop lying at the front in the direction of insertion is immersed in the cleaning liquid while the Edge area of the mop located at the rear remains above the liquid level of the cleaning liquid.
- the invention proposes, starting from a cleaning device of the type mentioned at the outset, that means are provided which are suitable for aligning the mop in such a way that when the mop is introduced into the moistening trough, only its edge region lying in the direction of introduction into the cleaning liquid is introduced immersed, during which the edge region lying at the rear in the direction of insertion remains above the liquid level.
- a preferred embodiment provides that the support device of the humidification trough serves as a means for alignment, the support device running inclined to the horizontal defined by the liquid level of the cleaning liquid filled.
- a further development of the invention provides that, alternatively or cumulatively, a locking between a mop adapter and the mop handle serves as a means for aligning the mop, so that the mop can only be inserted into the moistening pan at an incline.
- the support base of the humidification trough tapers in a trapezoidal manner in the direction of insertion. This measure clearly determines the direction of insertion of the mop.
- Another advantage is that the front edge area of the mop is narrower than the rear edge area. Consequently, during the wiping process, no wet stripes can remain on the outside of the mop on the surface to be cleaned because the dry rear edge area is wider than the front wet edge area.
- the mops have a moistening zone and a drying zone.
- the zones are characterized by special properties with regard to their purpose.
- the material and structure of the mop in the moistening zone are therefore designed to absorb the cleaning liquid from the moistening trough as well as possible and to release it back onto the floor.
- the material and structure of the mop in the drying zone must be designed to absorb and hold the cleaning liquid distributed over the surface, including the coarser dirt particles it contains.
- the mops have a cleaning zone located between the moistening zone and the drying zone.
- the additional cleaning zone should be designed so that it is suitable for loosening the dampened dirt.
- the structure is therefore rather coarser and harder in the sense of a brush. No cleaning liquid has to be dispensed or taken up in the cleaning zone.
- the fibers or the filament of the moistening zone of the mop preferably have a fiber thickness of 0.5 to 10 dtex. Fibers or filaments formed in this way are well suited for quickly taking up the cleaning agent from the humidification trough and also again to be delivered to the surface to be cleaned. Dense fiber structures made of fine to medium synthetic fibers are particularly suitable for this, in particular polyester, polyamide, polyacrylic, modacrylic, polypropylene.
- the fibers in the moistening zone preferably have different fiber thicknesses from the aforementioned range.
- the fibers or the filament are from 0.2 to 5 dtex. Fine to very fine fibers formed in this way are particularly suitable for absorbing the thin film of cleaning liquid, including the dirt dissolved in it, and thus drying the surface to be cleaned.
- the necessary dense fiber structures can best be made from fine to very fine synthetic fibers such as polyester and / or polyamide, viscose, lyocell or cotton.
- the cleaning zone preferably has fibers with a fiber thickness of 3.3 to 400 dtex.
- FIG. 1 and 2nd is a cleaning device according to the invention with the reference numeral 1.
- the cleaning device 1 has a humidification trough 2.
- a storage container 3 is inserted into the humidification trough 2.
- a cleaning liquid 4 is located in the storage container 3.
- the cleaning liquid 4 in the humidification trough 2 is kept at a constant, adjustable level by means of a metering device 5.
- the metering device 5 can for example work according to the bird bath principle, with a valve device or the like.
- the humidification trough 2 has a support base 2a, which extends inclined against the surface of the cleaning liquid 4 located in the humidification trough 2.
- the cleaning device 1 includes an exchangeable mop 6 which can be fixed on a mop holder 7.
- the mop holder 7 has a mop style 7a and a mop adapter 7b.
- the mop 6 fixed on the mop holder 7 is guided into the moistening tub 2. Due to the inclination of the support base 2a, only the front edge area of the mop 6 is immersed in the cleaning liquid 4. The remaining mop 6 remains dry.
- FIG 3 the construction of a mop 6 according to the invention is shown in one embodiment.
- the mop 6 is divided into zones, a moistening zone 8 located at the front in the wiping direction F, a central cleaning zone 9 and a rear drying zone 10.
- the mop 6 is trapezoidal, so that it tapers towards the front in the wiping direction F. Accordingly, the moistening zone 8 is narrower than the cleaning zone 9, and the cleaning zone 9 narrower than the drying zone 10.
- a moistening trough (not shown here) has a shape adapted to it, so that the mop 6 can only be guided into the moistening trough 2 in the correct direction of insertion. With a correspondingly set cleaning liquid level, only the moistening zone 8 is thus immersed in the cleaning liquid 4.
- the mop 6 is now guided over the floor in the wiping direction F.
- the floor to be cleaned is moistened and the dirt is loosened by the front moistening zone 8.
- the cleaning zone 9 lying behind the moistening zone 8 then removes persistent dirt from the floor.
- the large and wide drying zone 10 absorbs the liquid remaining on the floor and the loosened dirt. Then the mop 6 is removed from the mop holder 7 and a new fresh mop 6 is fixed for the next mopping operation on the mop holder 7.
- the moistening zone 8 in this exemplary embodiment consists of a plush produced in the double plush process, made of textured polyester filament yarn with a mixture of 50% fiber fine 3.5 dtex and 50% fiber fine 0.5 dtex.
- the cleaning zone 9 consists of a plush made of filament yarn with a mixture of 75% textured 8 dtex polyester filament and 25% polyamide filament with a fiber fineness of 40 dtex.
- the drying zone 10 consists of a plush made of lyocell fiber yarn mixed with polyester microfiber filaments with a fiber fineness of 0.5 dtex.

Description
The invention relates to a method for the partial moistening of an interchangeable flat mop, in which the mop is attached to a mop holder and is attached to the mop holder by means of a mop handle and inserted into a moistening tub of a moistening device filled with a cleaning fluid.
Furthermore, the invention relates to a cleaning device for carrying out the method with the mop, which can be fixed on a mop holder and which is fixed on the mop holder and can be inserted into a humidification trough of a humidification device by means of a mop handle, the humidification trough having a support device supporting the mop during the humidification process and is connected to a metering device which fills the humidification trough with a defined amount of a cleaning liquid for each humidification process, which is kept ready in a storage container assigned to the humidification trough.
After wiping, however, the floor remains moist and either has to be dried in a second process or you have to wait until it has dried due to natural ventilation and evaporation. However, the latter is not an alternative, especially in frequently used premises. Due to the moisture of the cleaned surface, there is a risk of slipping on the one hand, and on the other hand, the cleaned surface is directly contaminated again when used in a moist state.
It is therefore an object of the invention, based on a method and a cleaning device of the type mentioned, to further develop the method and the cleaning device in such a way that both cleaning and drying of the surface to be cleaned is possible in one operation.
To achieve this object, the invention proposes, starting from a method of the type mentioned at the outset, that the mop is introduced into the cleaning liquid at an incline relative to the liquid level of the cleaning liquid, so that the edge region of the mop lying at the front in the direction of insertion is immersed in the cleaning liquid while the Edge area of the mop located at the rear remains above the liquid level of the cleaning liquid.
To carry out this method, the invention proposes, starting from a cleaning device of the type mentioned at the outset, that means are provided which are suitable for aligning the mop in such a way that when the mop is introduced into the moistening trough, only its edge region lying in the direction of introduction into the cleaning liquid is introduced immersed, during which the edge region lying at the rear in the direction of insertion remains above the liquid level.
A preferred embodiment provides that the support device of the humidification trough serves as a means for alignment, the support device running inclined to the horizontal defined by the liquid level of the cleaning liquid filled.
As a result, only part of the mop is immersed in the cleaning liquid, while the rest of the mop remains dry. This means that during the subsequent wiping process, the floor is wet-cleaned by the wet front edge area of the mop, as in conventional wiping processes. Due to the dry rear edge area located behind the wet front edge area, the floor is dried in the same operation immediately after the cleaning process. If the mop is to be immersed deeper into the cleaning liquid, this can be regulated using the metering device.
A further development of the invention provides that, alternatively or cumulatively, a locking between a mop adapter and the mop handle serves as a means for aligning the mop, so that the mop can only be inserted into the moistening pan at an incline.
This measure also ensures that the mop is inserted at an incline into the humidification trough and is therefore only partially moistened according to the invention.
It is expedient if the shape of the moistening trough and the mop holder are coordinated with one another in such a way that the direction of insertion of the mop is defined thereby. Thus, the Mops in the humidification tray intuitively correct. There is no danger of inserting the mop upside down.
It is particularly advantageous if the support base of the humidification trough tapers in a trapezoidal manner in the direction of insertion. This measure clearly determines the direction of insertion of the mop. Another advantage is that the front edge area of the mop is narrower than the rear edge area. Consequently, during the wiping process, no wet stripes can remain on the outside of the mop on the surface to be cleaned because the dry rear edge area is wider than the front wet edge area.
A further development of the invention provides that the mops have a moistening zone and a drying zone. The zones are characterized by special properties with regard to their purpose. The material and structure of the mop in the moistening zone are therefore designed to absorb the cleaning liquid from the moistening trough as well as possible and to release it back onto the floor. The material and structure of the mop in the drying zone must be designed to absorb and hold the cleaning liquid distributed over the surface, including the coarser dirt particles it contains.
Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if the mops have a cleaning zone located between the moistening zone and the drying zone. The additional cleaning zone should be designed so that it is suitable for loosening the dampened dirt. The structure is therefore rather coarser and harder in the sense of a brush. No cleaning liquid has to be dispensed or taken up in the cleaning zone.
The fibers or the filament of the moistening zone of the mop preferably have a fiber thickness of 0.5 to 10 dtex. The fibers in the moistening zone preferably have different fiber thicknesses from the aforementioned range.
In the drying zone it is expedient if the fibers or the filament are from 0.2 to 5 dtex. Fine to very fine fibers formed in this way are particularly suitable for absorbing the thin film of cleaning liquid, including the dirt dissolved in it, and thus drying the surface to be cleaned. The necessary dense fiber structures can best be made from fine to very fine synthetic fibers such as polyester and / or polyamide, viscose, lyocell or cotton.
The cleaning zone preferably has fibers with a fiber thickness of 3.3 to 400 dtex. After the floor has been soaked through the humidification zone and most of the dirt has been loosened during the wiping process, the remaining dirt on the floor can be loosened by the mechanical effect of medium to coarser or even very coarse synthetic fibers (brush principle), in particular made of polyester, polyamide.
