Description

background

The present invention relates to a multifunctional hanger, particularly a hanger that can be used practically when traveling. In particular, the clothes hanger is a multifunctional clothes and trouser folding hanger that can be used both as a normal hanger and as a trouser folding hanger - also for both at the same time.

State of the art

From the document US2620952 A a hanger is known which is equipped with a holding device for articles of clothing. The holding device consists of two gripping bars which are fastened by means of a linkage to a bracket unit which is also designed as a wire linkage. The ironing unit includes two arms that are designed to hold a jacket or shirt. The linkage of each of the gripping bars is wound in the form of a loop around the wire linkage of the bracket unit and is thereby rotatably mounted on the bracket unit. Above the bracket unit, the linkage of each of the gripper bars extends in an arcuate manner, the arc of the first gripper bar running within the arc of the second gripper bar. Between the arches of the first and second gripping bars is the hook that carries the bracket unit. The hook is connected to the bracket unit by means of a swivel joint. The hook is rotatably mounted in relation to the bracket unit by means of the swivel joint. The hook has a handle and a hook bow. The stem can be arranged in a first position normal to the tangent of the bracket unit at the point at which its plane of symmetry is arranged. The handle can be moved through an angle of approximately +/- 90 degrees with respect to the first position in a second or third position, depending on the desired direction of rotation. The handle is located between the arches of the first and second gripper bars. When the handle is in the first position, the garment is clamped between the first and second gripping bars. When the hook moves from the first to the second or third position, move the gripper bars move away from each other and the clamp opens. This rather complex mechanism has proven to be susceptible to failure in use. Such folding bracket hangers tend to wear out with increasing use. Therefore, such hangers are no longer on the market or may never have been available on the market. Due to the material stress caused by the clamping mechanism, only a metal wire can be used for the linkage of the gripping bar and the hook, which would lead to the fact that a flight passenger could no longer carry the same product in hand luggage, as it would be detected by metal detectors . Such a hanger could also be classified with high probability as a possible weapon.

In addition, the hanger must not be subjected to any deformation, otherwise the turning mechanism and the clamping mechanism will no longer work. In addition, a comparatively high number of individual components, which is expensive to manufacture.

There is therefore a need for a structurally simple and universally usable coat hanger.

Object of the invention

It is an object of the invention to develop a multifunctional clothes hanger in a lightweight construction, which is particularly suitable for use when traveling.

Another object of the invention is to develop a multifunctional clothes hanger with an easy-to-use clamping device.

Description of the invention

The object of the invention is achieved by a clothes hanger according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the clothes hanger are the subject of claims 2 to 15.

In the following, the term rotary hanger can also be used for exemplary embodiments of the clothes hanger according to the invention which have a hook element which is rotatably mounted in relation to the hanger unit. A clothes hanger according to the invention comprises a hanger unit and a hook element. The hanger unit comprises a clamping element for securing an item of clothing, the hook element being rotatably attached to the hanger unit. The hook element has a clamping bracket, the clamping element being able to be pressed against the surface of the bracket unit by means of the clamping bracket when the hook element is in the use position. The position of use is understood here to mean the position of the hanger in which a garment is clamped between the clamping element and the hanger unit and is thus held captively on the hanger, so that the garment can be kept hanging on the hanger in a wardrobe.

According to one embodiment, the clamping element is designed as a bar. Such a bar is easy to manufacture as a bar element. The clamping element is connected to the bracket unit, for example, by means of a connecting element. The connecting element can comprise a bolt, a screw connection, an adhesive connection, a shrink connection, an elastic grommet, for example a rubber grommet, or a latching element. The connecting element can be arranged on the first or second bracket arm. In particular, the connecting element can be located at one of the ends of the clamping element. The clamping element can extend from the first to the second bracket arm. The item of clothing, for example the trouser legs of a pair of trousers, is received between the clamping element and the ironing unit. The present arrangement of a clamping element is space-saving. Since the clamping element can be held in the use position by the clamping bracket of the hook element, it is not necessary that the clamping element must contain a clamping mechanism. The clamping element can therefore also be manufactured with a maximum wall thickness of 5 mm. The clothes hanger therefore has a considerably smaller thickness compared to the known clamps. In addition, there is no need for a second clamping element, since the bracket unit 2 itself can perform the function of the second clamping element. The hanger according to the invention therefore has a significantly smaller number of individual parts, which enables simple and inexpensive production.

According to one exemplary embodiment, the bracket unit can comprise a first bracket arm and a second bracket arm, which extend from a base body in opposite directions. This creates a multifunctional hanger that can be used for several different items of clothing at the same time. For example, this hanger can be used to store trousers and an associated shirt or jacket in one unit.

The base body and the first and second bracket arms can be formed in one piece. According to one embodiment, the bracket unit is designed as a plate element. The bracket unit can have a recess for receiving the clamping bracket of the hook element. The recess can be arranged in the base body. The recess can be arched. The recess can have a radius of curvature which corresponds at least in sections to the radius of curvature of the clamping bracket. Since the bracket unit is designed as a thin-walled plate element, recesses of any shape can be produced by means of automatic cutting processes. Alternatively, the production can also be carried out by an injection molding process if the clothes hanger is to be produced from a plastic. Such a hanger can therefore be economically manufactured in small but also in large series using different materials.

According to one exemplary embodiment, the first bow arm has a first holding element, which is used to hold a holding loop of a piece of clothing. The second bow arm can have a second holding element which serves to hold a holding loop of a garment. As previously described for other recesses, the holding elements can also be produced by means of automatic cutting processes. There are also no additional complications for the production of the clothes hanger using the injection molding process, since a corresponding injection molding tool can be easily produced without undercuts due to the simple geometry.

According to one embodiment, the thickness of the ironing unit can be a maximum of 5 mm. The thickness of the ironing unit can in particular be a maximum of 3 mm. This ensures a very space-saving design of the hanger, which is particularly advantageous for its use when traveling.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic structure of an exemplary clothes hanger 1, comprising a hanger unit 2 and a hook element 3. The hanger unit 2 comprises a clamping element 25 for securing an item of clothing, the hook element 3 being rotatably attached to the hanger unit 2. The hook element 3 has a clamping bracket 35, the clamping element 25 being able to be pressed against the surface of the bracket unit 2 by means of the clamping bracket 35 when the hook element 3 is in the Use position is. Fig. 4 shows the hanger 1 according to Fig. 1 , wherein the hook element 3 is in a different position than in Fig. 1 , so that the clamping element 25 is not caught by the hook element 3. The clamping element 25 can therefore be opened in order to remove a garment or to insert another garment between the ironing unit 2 and the clamping element 25.

Fig. 5 shows a variant of a bracket unit 2, according to which the clamping element 25 is not designed as a bar, but is part of the bracket unit 2. The clamping element 25 is partially cut out of the bracket unit 2 and is connected to the bracket unit 2 only at one point, in this case via a connecting element 26 which is arranged in the first bracket arm 21.
