Gattungsgemäße Autobetonpumpen weisen einen zum Maschinenheck hin weit auskragenden Hilfsrahmen auf, der in Verbindung mit dem Lastwagenrahmen als Träger verschiedene Aggregate wie der Pumpe, Wassertanks und/oder anderer Bauteile dient. Um die Lasten dieser Aggregate in die eigentliche Tragstruktur beziehungsweise den Mastbock und den Hilfsrahmen einzuleiten, wählt man üblicherweise fachwerkartige Konstruktionen. Dabei werden der Mastbock und der Hilfsrahmen ganz oder teilweise mittels einer oder mehrerer Streben zu einem biegesteifen Dreieck verbunden. Diese Ausführung ist vergleichsweise einfach und leicht, da sie die freie Biegelänge des Hilfsrahmens stark reduziert.
