Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for cutting an electric current.

In the field of electrical current breaking devices, such as contactors, WO-2014/096582-A1 describes a multipolar switching device comprising several separable contact breaking elements, each associated with a phase of a polyphase current and coupled to an actuator which simultaneously moves the separable contacts between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, movable contacts of the breaking elements are in contact with corresponding fixed contacts, which allows the passage of electric current. In the case of a three-phase current, the breaking device comprises three breaking elements. In this case, each breaking element is associated with a phase of the current.

WO-2014/096582-A1 describes in particular means for adjusting the position of each cut-off element around the closed position, so that the mechanical synchronization of the fixed and movable pads of each cut-off element is the best possible between all the cut-off elements of the device. In fact, in the closed position, there may be a misalignment between the movable contacts with respect to their ideal theoretical position, generally because of dimensional tolerances due to variabilities inherent in the manufacturing process of the device.

This misalignment results in unequal crushing of the contacts from one breaking element to another in the closed position. For example, the movable contacts of a first breaking element may be in a more advanced position than the movable contacts of a second breaking element of the same device. Such a misalignment can cause heterogeneous wear of the electrical contacts within the device. However, in some circumstances, the position adjustment is difficult to adjust precisely, especially since it can only be performed when the movable contacts are in the open position.

It is to these problems that the invention more particularly intends to remedy, by proposing a new device for cutting an electric current comprising cut-off elements, each cut-off element comprising on the one hand a fixed part being linked to fixed electrical contacts and on the other hand a movable part which carries movable electrical contacts, the movable part being movable in translation along an axis of movement between an open position and a closed position of the electrical contacts, as well as 'an actuator comprising a movable part movable in translation along the axis of movement to move the movable parts between the open and closed positions, each movable part comprising for this purpose a connecting member fixed to the movable part.

In addition, each movable part of the breaking device comprises a body which comprises a first housing, and each breaking element comprises on the one hand a cage mounted in the first housing, the cage being linked to a support carrying the movable contact. , the cage being movable in translation along the axis of movement with respect to the movable part and on the other hand a movable stop which limits the movement of the cage with respect to the movable part, the movable stop being movable in translation along the axis of movement by means of an adjustment screw.

Thanks to the invention, the adjustment of the alignment between the cut-off elements is simpler and more precise. The adjustable movable stopper makes it possible to control the movement of the cage independently of the body of the movable part, which makes it possible to finely adjust the position of the movable contact in the closed position to compensate for a possible misalignment with the other movable contacts when the latter are in the closed position.

The adjustment thus makes it possible to lengthen or reduce the travel in translation of each movable contact in a controlled manner. This adjustment can be carried out for each of the cut-off elements, independently of the other cut-off elements, even when these cut-off elements are all connected to the same moving part of the actuator.

On the contrary, in WO-2014/096582-A1 , the stroke is adjusted by lengthening or shortening the connecting member which fixes the movable part to the movable contact. It is therefore not possible to adjust the stroke as long as the moving part of the actuator is connected to the moving parts.

In addition, when the moving part is disconnected to give access to the connecting members, it is then no longer possible to know precisely what the true closed position is, since this is imposed on the contacts by the moving part.

According to advantageous but not mandatory aspects of the invention, such a switching device can incorporate one or more of the following characteristics, taken in any technically acceptable combination:
  • The head of the adjusting screw is disposed, within the movable part, opposite the connecting member along the axis of movement.
  • The movable stopper is a collar integrated into a rod of the adjustment screw, the collar being integral in rotation with the rod.
  • The cage has a rear face perpendicular to the axis of movement, the movable stopper being disposed inside the first housing behind the rear face, so as to prevent the cage from moving back when the moving part arrives in the open position.
  • Each cut-off element comprises a washer arranged between the head of the adjustment screw and a rear wall of the body of the movable part.
  • The cage delimits a second housing, the support being mounted in the second housing, the support being movable in translation with respect to the cage, within the second housing along the axis of movement and the cage comprises an elastic return member. disposed in the second housing, which returns the support in the direction of the fixed contacts.
  • At least one side wall of the cage comprises a first relief intended to collaborate by complementarity of shapes with a second relief present on an inner face of the first housing, to maintain and guide the cage in translation relative to the body of the movable part.
  • The cage is made of plastic material.
  • The device is a multipolar switching device suitable for interrupting a polyphase electric current, the breaking device comprising a plurality of breaking elements, each breaking element being associated with a phase of the electric current.

Les éléments de coupure 4 sont parfois appelés « bloc de coupure » ou « ampoule de coupure ».Switching device 2 shown in figure 1 comprises several cut-off elements 4 juxtaposed in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the figure 1 , only one of which is visible in this figure, with the reference 4. The switching device 2 comprises also an actuator 6 common to the various cut-off elements 4. The cut-off elements 4 are sometimes called “cut-off unit” or “cut-off bulb”.

The switching device 2 makes it possible to interrupt, or, alternatively, to authorize the flow of electric current, for example in response to a control voltage. Such a switching device is for example intended to be installed in an electrical installation, in particular in an electrical cabinet.

The switching device 2 is for example a multipolar device with separable contacts, suitable for interrupting a polyphase electric current. In this case, each cut-off element 4 is associated with a phase of the electric current. In the embodiment explained in the drawings, the device is suitable for interrupting a three-phase electric current and comprises three cut-off elements 4.

The three cut-off elements 4 are identical here, but only one of them is described in detail in what follows.

Each cut-off element 4 comprises fixed electrical contacts 8 connected to connection pads 10 upstream and downstream of the device 2, and also comprises a movable electrical contact 12 reversibly displaceable relative to the fixed contacts 14, here along a displacement axis. X, between an open position and a closed position.

The flow of electric current within a switching element 4 is interrupted when the fixed contacts 8 integral with the connection pad 10 are separated from the movable contacts 12. When these contacts are separated, the fixed contact pads 14 carried by the fixed contacts 8 do not touch the movable contact pads 16 carried by the movable contacts 12. This first configuration corresponds to the open position of the movable contacts 12 in which the current does not flow.

Conversely, the closed position of the movable contacts 12 corresponds to the case where the movable contact pads 16 bear against the fixed contact pads 14, thus allowing current to flow in this second configuration.

The cut-off elements 4 are each equipped with a movable part 20. A connecting member 30 ensures the coupling of the movable part 20 of each cut-off element 4 to the actuator 6. The simultaneous movement of the movable contacts 12 between the position opening and the closed position is induced by a moving part 32 of the actuator 6.

The actuator 6 here comprises an electromagnet, not referenced in the figures, as well as the movable part 32. For example, the movable part 32 comprises a magnetic material. When the electromagnet is supplied following the reception of a control voltage, it exerts a magnetic force which drives the movable part 32 in translation along the X axis towards the closed position. Conversely, when the electromagnet ceases to be supplied, the moving part 32 is returned to the open position.

For example, the actuator 6 is installed on a front part of the device 2. For illustration purposes, front and rear parts of the device 2 are defined in the following with reference to the movement of the movable contacts 12. along the X axis. On the figure 1 , the arrow F1 indicates the direction of movement of the movable part 32 and of the movable contacts 12 from the rear towards the front of the device 2.

The movable part 32 makes it possible to simultaneously move each movable part 20 of each cut-off element 4 along the axis of movement X. The movement of the part 32 along an axis of movement X drives, via the connecting member 30 of each element switch 4, the displacement of each movable part 20 along the same axis of displacement X, thus generating the transition from the open position to the closed position (or vice versa). This displacement of the movable part 20 of the cut-off element 4 therefore has the effect of bringing the contact pads 16 carried by the movable contact 12 into contact with the contact pads 14 carried by each of the fixed contacts 8.

Dans la suite du texte, on utilise l'expression « pont mobile ».The movable part 20 is shown in detail in figures 2 and 3 . The movable part 20 comprises a body 22, integral with the connecting member 30, and a cage 24 to which is linked a movable support 26, which carries the movable contacts 12. This movable support 26 is also called “movable bridge”. In the remainder of the text, the expression “movable bridge” is used.

La cage 24 est logée dans ce premier logement 34.In this embodiment, the body 22 comprises a hollow part forming a first housing 34 delimited by side walls 36 and 38, a front wall 41 and a rear wall 40. The cage 24 is housed in this first housing 34.

La face arrière 46 est perpendiculaire à l'axe de déplacement X.The cage 24 is preferably rectangular and comprises a front face 48, a rear face 46 and two lateral faces 50 and 52. The rear face 46 is perpendicular to the axis of displacement X.

In this example, the faces 46, 48, 50 and 52 of the cage 24 define a second housing 44 intended to accommodate the movable bridge 26 and a member 28 for elastic return. This resilient return member 28 is for example a helical compression spring.

L'organe 28 de rappel élastique autorise un déplacement selon l'axe de déplacement X du pont mobile 26 par rapport à la cage 24.The elastic return member 28 allows movement along the axis of movement X of the movable bridge 26 relative to the cage 24.

The elastic return member 28 brings back the movable bridge 26 in the direction of the fixed contacts 8 and makes it possible to absorb the shock undergone by the movable contact 12 when the movable contact pads 16 come into contact with the fixed contact pads 14 , when closing the cut-off element 4.

The movable bridge 26 is movable in translation with respect to the cage 24 along the axis of movement X. The cage 24 is movable in translation with respect to the body 22 the same axis of movement X. However, the translation of the cage 24 by relative to the body 22 is decoupled from the translation of the movable bridge 26 relative to the cage 24. In other words, the two translations are independent of one another.

According to a variant not shown, the movable bridge 26 can be kept integral with the cage 24, the elastic return member 28 then being able to be omitted.

Autrement dit, la butée mobile 60 est disposée à l'intérieur du premier logement 34, en arrière de la face arrière 46.The cut-off element 4 further comprises a movable stop 60, here disposed between the rear face 46 of the cage 24 and the rear wall 40 of the body 22. In other words, the movable stop 60 is disposed inside the first housing. 34, behind the rear face 46.

The movable stop 60 is movable in translation along the axis of movement X and limits a retreat of the cage 24 when the movable part 20 arrives in the open position.

A hole 42, preferably threaded, passing through the rear wall 40 of the body 22, and an orifice 54 passing through the rear face 46 of the cage 24 accommodate the rod 66 of the adjusting screw 62. Hole 42 and orifice 54 are each coaxial with the axis of movement X.

This helical connection here allows the movement of the movable stop 60 along the axis of movement X.

The head 64 of the adjusting screw 62 is located on the outside of the body 22, opposite the link member 30 along the X axis. In other words, the head 64 protrudes from the body. rear wall 40 of body 22, so as to be accessible from the outside in order to be able to be actuated by a tool 80, such as a screwdriver.

In this embodiment, the movable stop 60 is a flange attached to the rod 66 of the adjustment screw 62, so as to be integral in rotation with the rod 66 when the latter rotates around the X axis. This collar may take the form of a disc centered on the X displacement axis.

The flange of the movable stopper 60 can be brought closer to the rear face 46 of the cage 24 in order to limit the movement of the cage 24 relative to the body 22. When the tool 80 turns the adjustment screw 62 towards a tight state , there is a translation from the rear to the front of the movable stop 60 along the axis of movement X, which translates the cage 24 relative to the body 22 along the axis of movement X, from back to front.

On the other hand, the movable stop 60 remains stationary as long as the adjustment screw 62 is not turned by the tool 80, for example because a thread of the rod 66 is engaged with the tapping hole 42.

When the adjustment screw 62 is in a loosened state, the movable stopper 60 is in a retracted position at the rear of the apparatus 2. The cage 24 is not constrained to remain in the advanced position by the movable stopper 60 and the cage 24 is then in a “floating” position.

When the fixed contacts 8 meet the movable contacts 12, the cage 24 is brought back from the front to the rear until it comes into abutment against the movable stop 60 and the cage 24 is then in the retracted position. The exact position of the cage 24 can then be adjusted using the adjusting screw 62, for example by means of the tool 80, with a view to compensating for any misalignment with the movable contacts 12 of the other cut-off elements 4. .

Two possible positions for the movable stop 60 are indicated in figures 4 and 5 . The spacings e1 on the figure 4 and e2 on the figure 5 correspond to the distance between the inside face of the front wall 41 of the body 22 and the front face 48 of the cage 24, here when the cage 24 is in abutment against the movable stop 60.

By way of illustrative example, the spacings e1 and e2 are here each between 0.1mm and 1mm.

Dans la configuration visible à la figure 4, l'espacement e1 est plus grand que l'espacement e2 de la figure 5.In the configuration visible at figure 4 , the spacing e1 is greater than the spacing e2 of the figure 5 .

To go from the spacing e1 to the spacing e2, the cage 24 is translated from the rear part of the switching device 2 towards the front. The translation of the cage 24 by means of the stop 60 and the adjustment screw 62 allows the movable bridge 26 to be brought closer to the actuator 6, which is equivalent to precisely adjusting the position of the movable contacts 12 integral with the movable bridge. 26 in relation to the fixed contacts 8.

The adjustment of the cut-off elements 4 preferably takes place in the closed position.

The fact of translating the movable stop 60 along the axis of movement X makes it possible to control the movement of the cage 24 independently of the body 22 of the movable part 20. This therefore makes it possible to finely adjust the position of the movable contact 12 in position. closing, in order to compensate for any misalignment with the other movable contacts 12 when the latter are in the closed position.

In other words, the travel in translation of each movable contact 12 can be lengthened or reduced in a controlled manner. The translation travel can be adjusted for each of the cut-off elements 4, independently of the other cut-off elements 4.

La fonction de liaison entre l'actionneur 6 et le contact mobile 12 est dissociée de la fonction de réglage de la course, ce qui permet d'effectuer le réglage en position fermée même lorsque l'actionneur 6 est monté sur la face avant de l'appareil 2.Advantageously, the invention makes it possible to carry out the adjustment even when the cut-off elements 4 are all connected to the same moving part 32 of the actuator 6, unlike the adjustment described in WO-2014/096582-A1 , in which the adjustment function was provided by a screw which simultaneously served as a connecting member. The adjustment could not then be done in the closed position and had to be done in the open position. On the contrary, here, the adjustment function and the function of connection with the actuator are performed independently of one another. The link function between the actuator 6 and the movable contact 12 is separate from the stroke adjustment function, which makes it possible to carry out the adjustment in the closed position even when the actuator 6 is mounted on the front face of the device 2.

Preferably, each cut-off element 4 comprises a washer 68 threaded onto the rod 66 and interposed between the head 64 and the outer face of the rear wall 40 of the body 22. This washer 68 makes it possible to occupy the space created between the head. 64 and the outer face of the rear wall 40 when varying the spacing between the inner face of the rear wall 40 of the body 22 and the rear face 46 of the cage 24. For example, the washer 68 is made of metal or made of elastomeric material.

La paroi arrière 46 est dédoublée lorsque la bande repliée formant le cadre constitué de la paroi arrière 46, la paroi latérale 50, la paroi avant 48 et la paroi latérale 52 vient couvrir la paroi arrière 46.According to an optional but not compulsory embodiment, the cage 24 is made of a plastic material, preferably in the form of a strip. This strip of plastic material has a folded shape so as to form a rectangular frame. In its folded form, the rear wall 46 is perpendicular to the axis of movement X. The rear wall 46 is adjacent to the two side walls 50 and 52. These side walls 50 and 52 are mutually parallel and adjacent to the front wall 48. of the cage 24. The front wall 48 and the rear wall 46 are mutually parallel. The rear wall 46 is split when the folded strip forming the frame consisting of the wall rear 46, the side wall 50, the front wall 48 and the side wall 52 cover the rear wall 46.

La forme du logement 34 doit en toute circonstance être adaptée pour recevoir la cage 24.Alternatively, the cage 24 can have another shape, for example square or cylindrical. The shape of the housing 34 must in all circumstances be adapted to receive the cage 24.

According to a preferred but not compulsory embodiment of the invention, at least one of the side faces 50 or 52 of the cage 24 comprises a first relief 70 which collaborates by complementarity of shapes with a second relief 72 present on one of the walls. side 36 or 38 of the body 22. The connections thus formed by the first relief 70 and the second relief 72 maintain the cage 24 in the housing 34 and guide it in translation along the axis of displacement X.

In particular, the first relief 70 collaborates with a third relief 74 present on the movable bridge 26 in order to maintain the bridge 26 inside the second housing 44 delimited by the cage 24, in particular during assembly operations of the 'cut-off element 4.
