Description

DOMAINE TECHNIQUE DE L'INVENTIONTECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to the technical field of furniture and particularly to the field of tables. More specifically, the invention relates to tables, the top of which is movable relative to the base of said table.

Conventionally, a table is understood to mean any piece of furniture comprising a flat surface called a “top”, intended to be horizontal in its main use, the top resting on a base comprising one or more feet.

ARRIERE PLAN TECHNOLOGIQUE DE L'INVENTIONTECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Une telle table est par exemple connue du document DE 20 2014 101396 U .Some tables are equipped with an articulation allowing the rotation of the top of approximately 90 ° relative to the base of the table so that the top extends vertically. Such a table is for example known from the document DE 20 2014 101 396 U .

Thanks to this functionality, the tables can be stored and arranged with a reduced footprint in a first position in which the table top is vertical and be used conventionally in a second position, in which the table top is horizontal. This feature is particularly advantageous for businesses needing a large number of tables but requiring after service, to store these tables quickly and easily with the least possible clutter.

The articulation of these tables is generally placed between the plate and the base and comprises, like a hinge, a first part fixed to the plate and a second part fixed to the base, the two parts being connected by a pivot pin. This joint is very often used and can wear out. In addition, when the plate is pivoted from one position to another, the plate slams against the base, which seriously damages it.

OBJET DE L'INVENTIONOBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The object of the invention is to remedy all or part of the aforementioned drawbacks and in particular to provide an articulation for a table making it possible to prevent premature wear of the plate.

To this end, the invention relates to an articulation piece for a table, said articulation piece being configured to allow the rotation of a plate of a table relative to a base of the table, the piece of articulation comprising at least a first part intended to be fixed on the table top, and a second part intended to be fixed on the at least one base of the table, the first part of the articulation part being configured to be movable in rotation with respect to the second part along a pivot axis, the first part moving between at least one position of use in which the first part is opposite the second part and a position storage in which the first part extends in a secant direction, and preferably perpendicular, to the second part, the articulation part comprising at least one damping stop partially arranged between the first part and the second part of the part articulation, at least a portion of the stop being configured to bear against the second part when the first part is in its position of use. The invention is characterized in that the first part (51) of the articulation part (5) comprises a first face (51a) oriented towards the second part (52) and a second face (51b) intended to be secured to the plate (2) of a table (1), the second face (51b) of the first part (51) of the articulation part (5) comprising a housing (51c) in which the damping stop (6) is housed.

Advantageously, at least a portion of the stopper allows the damping of the pivoting of the first part from the storage position to the position of use. Thus, the plate on which the first part is fixed is less subject to risks of wear due to possible breakdowns of the plate against the base when the latter is folded back into the use position.
