Bottles are a popular storage container, especially for liquids. They are used for drinks such as Water, milk, wine, juice or alcoholic beverages, as well as used for oils or for cosmetic or medical liquids. A typical material for the production of bottles is glass, because glass is food-safe and inert, easy to shape and comparatively inexpensive. Glass is also a popular bottle material from an environmental point of view.
For advertising purposes but also for optical reasons, it is common to decorate glass bottles. This is done, for example, by labels, embossing on the bottle, engravings or objects attached to the bottle.

The glass hollow body has an opening,,, in the bottom, the opening being arranged, for example, centered / concentrically in the case of a round bottle bottom. In one embodiment, the opening is a circular opening. The size and shape of the bottom insert corresponds to the opening in the bottom of the hollow glass body and closes the opening in the hollow glass body in a force-fitting and / or material-locking manner. The positive connection is preferably carried out with a clamp connection, screw connection or flare connection. The integral closure is preferably carried out with an adhesive connection. A combination of a cohesive adhesive connection and a non-positive clamp connection, for example with a sealing ring or a flanged connection, is preferred. In both cases, an additional seal is preferably used to ensure a food-grade separation between the contents of the bottle and the glue point and an unnecessary stress on the glue point from the liquid in the bottle, such as alcohols or other hydrocarbons. The floor insert is preferably made of metal or plastic or a combination of these materials and not glass. The floor insert is used to hold a three-dimensional decorative element, which can be fixed or variably connected to the floor insert. On the floor insert is on the Attached to the top of the bottom insert, a receiving device, which is directed into the glass bottle. For example, a receiving device in the form of a threaded piece or a threaded bore is possible. The three-dimensional decorative element is attached to the receiving device and is located inside the bottle.
According to the invention, "below" denotes the outside of the bottle bottom, i.e. the surface of a bottle standing on a surface. "Outside" refers to the outside of the bottle, while the inside of the bottle, i.e. called the bottle interior.
The floor insert is preferably designed as a flat plate or disc. It can consist of solid material or, like a lid, can have a negative shape, ie a cavity. The base insert preferably has a circumferential outer edge which is located in the lower region of the base insert and preferably forms a plane with the outside of the base insert. In the case of a round floor insert, the circumferential outer edge is radially circumferential. If the floor insert partially has a cavity, the cavity is likewise preferably located on the lower, outward-facing side of the floor insert on the side opposite the receiving device. When installed, the floor insert can lie in one plane with the glass bottom edge or can be offset up or down, so that the glass bottle is either only on the glass bottom edge, the glass bottom edge and the bottom insert or only the bottom insert. In one embodiment, the bottom insert has a step-shaped recess on the circumferential outer edge, the inner step closer to the center of the bottle being higher than the outer step and the inner step forming a stop surface for the underside of the hollow glass body. On the outside of the floor, for example in the cavity, an element can be arranged, such as a hexagon, that facilitates the assembly of the three-dimensional decorative element.
In one embodiment, the glass bottle according to the invention has at least one sealing element, preferably a radial sealing element, for sealing the bottom insert. In addition to the seal, the sealing element also serves to isolate the bottle contents from the gluing point in order not to chemically stress the gluing point. The sealing element may also be used for radial guidance to decouple vibrations. It means that only damped relative movements of the insert are possible. The sealing element is, for example, a sealing ring, such as an O-ring, preferably made of EPDM or other materials permitted for food. In this embodiment, the base insert preferably has at least one radial groove in which the sealing means lies at least partially.
The three-dimensional decorative element is preferably an artifact, a decorative element, a souvenir or a figure. The three-dimensional decorative element is particularly preferably a component of a machine or a vehicle, such as e.g. a rocker arm or a camshaft or a piece of jewelry, a toy or cartoon character. The three-dimensional decorative element preferably consists of a food-grade material, particularly preferably of stainless steel, aluminum, brass, precious metals, precious stones or non-precious stones or plastic. The three-dimensional decorative element optionally has a food-grade or passivating coating. The three-dimensional decorative element, like the floor insert, is preferably not made of glass. The three-dimensional decorative element is preferably in one piece, i.e. it consists of one piece. Alternatively, the 3-dimensional decorative element consists of several components, i.e. it is made up of several pieces.
The receiving device is preferably fixedly or variably connected to the floor insert. In one embodiment, the base element, the receiving device and the three-dimensional decorative element are made in one piece, that is to say are formed in one piece. In one embodiment, the three-dimensional decorative element is firmly connected to the receiving device. The decorative element and the receiving device can also be made from one piece, this too is understood to be fastened in the sense of the invention. The receiving device and the decorative element are then formed in one piece.
The connection between the floor insert and the receiving device can also be sealed with a sealant, e.g. an O-ring or a liquid seal like Loctite®.
A glass bottle is a glass jar with a narrow bottle opening and a neck, a bottle wall or walls and a bottle bottom. The glass bottle according to the invention can have any bottle shape, preferably with a round or rectangular bottom and a cylindrical, conical or cuboid base body that runs into the bottle neck and the bottle opening. The hollow glass body preferably consists of transparent, particularly preferably colorless glass, which is also referred to as white glass. The glass bottle can be decorated in a commercially available form e.g. printed, engraved or provided with a label, the decoration not being part of the bottle according to the invention.
In one embodiment, the outer edge of the glass bottle base is formed by the hollow glass body, which is referred to below as the glass base edge. The bottom insert is inserted into the opening so that the entire bottle bottom consists of a combination of the bottom insert and the glass bottom edge of the hollow glass body. In this embodiment, the glass bottom edge preferably has a recess on its underside. The recess forms a stop for floor use. This stop is preferably used as an adhesive gap when the base insert is connected to the hollow glass body with adhesive. In an alternative embodiment, the glass bottle bottom is completely formed by the bottom insert. The opening is then formed by the walls of the hollow glass body rising to the bottle neck.
The glass bottom edge preferably has a step-shaped recess on the underside, which forms a stop surface for the floor insert. The step-shaped recess can alternatively be arranged on the outer wall of the hollow glass body. In one embodiment, the height of the step corresponds to the height of the circumferential outer edge of the floor insert. Preferably, the invention Glass bottle on a glass bottom edge on the hollow glass body and the step-shaped recess is arranged on the underside of the glass bottom edge. For example, the outer edge of the glass bottle bottom and the bottom insert can form a flat surface and thereby a flat bottle bottom on which the glass bottle stands. The stop surface serves as a surface against which a surface of the floor insert strikes, the two surfaces coming to lie on one another. In one embodiment, an adhesive is applied to the stop surface, so that the stop surface simultaneously forms the adhesive surface. In a further embodiment, the step-shaped recess has a second step, so that the higher step forms the stop surface and the lower step forms the adhesive surface.
The step-shaped recess can be designed as a rectangular step. At its edges, the opening on the underside, which is directed towards the bottle exterior, preferably additionally has a chamfer with partially beveled sides.
The base insert is particularly preferably connected axially in a sealing manner to the base edge of the hollow glass body with an adhesive connection.
In a further embodiment, the glass bottle according to the invention additionally has at least one radial sealant that is attached to the base insert, preferably a sealing ring, e.g. an O-ring, a liquid seal or another food-grade sealant. The sealing ring is preferably made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber). Alternatively, the glass bottle according to the invention additionally has at least one axial sealant, which is less preferred according to the invention.
The floor insert is preferably made of stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, plastic or a tinned metal plate or a combination of these materials. The floor insert is preferably not made of glass.
The bottle according to the invention can, for example, have any shape customary for spirits bottles, wine bottles, juice bottles, oil bottles or beer bottles. The glass bottle according to the invention is preferably a beverage bottle.
The glass bottle according to the invention preferably has a size and a volume, such as a conventional beverage bottle. The glass bottle according to the invention preferably has a volume of 0.5 l, 0.75 l, 1 l, 1.5 l, 2, l, but magnum bottles with 5 l, 6 l, 10 l or 20 l are also possible. The glass bottle according to the invention preferably has a volume of 0.25 l to 20 l, particularly preferably 0.5 l to 20 l or 0.5 to 10 l. The glass bottle according to the invention is suitable for use in machine filling and for fulfillment on an industrial scale, as well as for production on an industrial scale.
The glass bottle according to the invention has a conventional bottle cap. The closure is, for example, a threaded closure, a snap closure, a crown cap, a clip closure, a stopper, e.g. a glass stopper or a cork.
In a preferred embodiment, the base insert is connected to the hollow glass body using a UV adhesive or MS polymer adhesive. A UV adhesive is a UV-curing adhesive, such as, for example, solvent-free, one-component acrylate adhesive that cures through radical polymerization, or cationically cross-linking epoxy adhesives. MS polymer adhesives are silane-modified polymer adhesives. The adhesive connection prevents the bottom insert from slipping out of the bottle. In this embodiment, the glass bottle according to the invention is preferably sealed with one or more O-rings. The O-rings are put over the outer edge of the bottom insert and may lie in a groove between the edge of the opening in the bottle bottom and the outer edge of the bottom insert. The advantage of this embodiment is that the glass bottle according to the invention consists of only a few components, namely the glass hollow body, the bottom insert with the receiving device attached to it and the decorative element, and optionally at least one O-ring for sealing. Due to the sealing with a sealing ring, only a damped relative movement of the floor insert is possible.
In one embodiment, a receptacle for a form-fitting tool, preferably a hexagon, is attached in a bulge on the underside of the floor insert. The receptacle for a form-fitting tool serves to better guide a tool, such as an open-end wrench or an Allen key, and enables better screwing between the base insert and the holding device. In this case, the receiving device is, for example, a screw thread on the underside of the 3-dimensional decorative element and a receiving opening with a thread in the interior of the receiving device for the positive tool.
Surprisingly, in the bottle according to the invention it is possible to combine glass with another material and still obtain a sealed bottle. The bottle is closed liquid-tight, although the bottom consists of a separate component. The glass bottle according to the invention can be filled via a normal filling system after the bottom has been closed.
The bottom insert of the bottle according to the invention has a double function. In contrast to conventional bottles, the bottom insert does not only serve as a seal. The floor insert must also hold the three-dimensional decorative element placed in the bottle. The floor insert thus has the double function of a sealing function and a holding function.

- the size of the bottom insert corresponds at most to the opening in the bottom of the hollow glass body, preferably slightly smaller than the opening in the bottom of the hollow glass body,
- the bottom insert closes the opening in the hollow glass body in a force-locking and / or material-locking manner,
- the floor insert is made of metal or plastic and not glass,
- a receiving device is attached to the bottom insert on the top of the bottom insert facing the bottle, which is directed into the glass bottle, and
- the three-dimensional decorative element is fastened to the receiving device and is arranged in the interior of the bottle.
