Definitions
- the subject of the invention is an embroidery machine for corrugating an embroidery base between two winding shafts arranged in parallel according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the subject matter of the invention is also a method for needling on the corrugation of the fabric for the embroidery base according to the preamble of claim 10.
- gate arrangements are from the EP 0 919 657 and the EP 0 690 164 B1 known, in which the embroidery base is stretched or curled between a lower and an upper shaft and after embroidering a first embroiderable surface stretched between the waves, the embroidery base is rolled up from one wave to the other or is subsequently corrugated, so that the area adjacent to the already embroidered area comes to lie in the embroiderable area between the waves.
- the embroidery base Before the embroidery of an embroidery base newly fed into the embroidery area begins, the embroidery base is advantageously corrugated several times from one wave to the other, thereby balancing and aligning the tension and alignment of the weft and warp threads. So that the embroidery base is evenly stretched across its entire width at the beginning of embroidery, it is attached by hand to a side tensioning bar on both sides and then the side tensioning bars are stretched across the tensioning direction between the waves horizontally in the warp direction and finally through the waves, in the vertical Direction, ie retightened in the weft direction.
- the embroidery base In the case of embroidery machines with a gate, which allows the embroidery base to be shifted by winding the embroidered area onto the upper shaft and unrolling the unembroidered embroidery base from the lower shaft, the embroidery base is released from the side tensioning strips for a displacement of the embroidery base, then the displacement, i.e. the waving made in order to finally hang the embroidery base again in the side tensioning strips. It is hardly possible to restore the lateral tension after the wave to match the tension before the shift to manufacture. As a result, there are shifts in the embroidery pattern at the point where one sticket segment ends and the subsequent sticket segment begins again, especially in the lateral areas of the embroidery base, which affect the quality of the entire embroidery.
- the EP 0 919 657 B1 discloses a method for moving, also called waves, of an embroidery base laterally tensioned with two side tensioning strips movable in translation with the embroidery base in the gate on an embroidery machine gate with an upper and a lower winding shaft, in which method the embroidery base curled on the winding shafts is stretched flat between these and is shifted by waves from one winding shaft to the other relative to the gate, while it is hooked into the thorns of the side tensioning strips so that at least a part of the stick bottom remains tensioned during the displacement of the side tensioning strips, which can be moved translationally in the gate, in order to allow the the same voltage as before the displacement.
- the embroidery base is lifted from the thorns, which engage in the embroidery base, with a surface of a release device that runs obliquely to the embroidery base plane, and is thereby released from the side tensioning strips.
- at least part of the stick base remains during the displacement by the side tensioning strips tensioned to have the same tension in this part after the displacement as before the displacement.
- the area adjacent to the transition between the stages expediently remains taut, so that the tension in the embroidery base remains constant during the transition and the transition is thus invisibly inserted into the embroidery pattern.
- the embroidery base is released from the side tensioning strips over a length corresponding to the displacement in order to be able to wind it onto the winding shaft.
- the part of the embroidery base that is not tensioned by the side tensioning bars is advantageously re-tensioned according to the tension of the remaining tensioned part on the side tensioning bars, e.g. by manually hanging the embroidery base into the mandrels of the side tensioning bars, taking into account the thread path of the vertical weft thread.
- the stick bottom can be tensioned by hand or with a tensioning device activated by the displacement.
- the embroidery base is held during the displacement of the gate in the vertical direction so that the embroidery base can stand still relative to the needles. This can be achieved with the presser buttons, which fix the embroidery base relative to the needles.
- the side tensioning bars are advantageously translationally movable in the gate so that they move with the movement of the laterally tensioned embroidery base and thus at least part of the embroidery base remains taut during and after the displacement.
- the side tension bars are divided into segments which can be individually detached from the embroidery base or connected to the embroidery base so that segment by segment can be detached from the embroidery base during displacement, so that the side tension bar does not conflict with the rolling shaft.
- the segments of the side tensioning bar are expediently attached to a chain.
- the segments can be displaced with one another in a non-rectilinear movement, so that the segments detached from the embroidery base can be removed from the embroidery base.
- the chain forms a closed loop around two deflection wheels so that the segments are guided on a circular path away from the edge of the embroidery base.
- the embroidery machine gate has release devices in order to release the embroidery base from the side tensioning strips. As a result, loosening by hand can be avoided and at the same time only that area of the embroidery base is loosened from the side tensioning strips, which must necessarily be loosened before winding.
- the release devices are arranged in a stationary manner on the gate and the side tension bars are movable relative to the release devices, so that when the stick base is moved in the gate, the stick base and the side tension bars are released from one another.
- the side tension bars have a large number of thorns for hanging the embroidery base. With these thorns, the embroidery base is held reliably in the tried and tested manner.
- the segment-like side tensioning strips are connected to the chain and are guided straight through the rollers of the chain in a guide rail on the stick bottom side.
- the guide ensures constant tension even when the side tension bar is moved.
- the EP 0 690 164 B1 suggested mass transport control of the embroidery field on the winding shafts so precisely that the fabric can be wound onto the winding shafts under controlled tensile force, with a controlled vertical movement of the embroidery frame taking place at the same time.
- the embroidery base be scanned touching or non-contacting with the embroidery needles with the aid of an encoder that detects a displacement of the embroidery base in the vertical direction and feeds this signal as a correction signal to a control unit which regulates the fabric drive of the winding shafts in such a way that the embroidery base in comparison to the embroidery needles no longer moves relatively during the vertical movement of the embroidery frame.
- such a device can be used to synchronize the gate movement with the displacement of the side tensioning rod segments.
- a project is very complex, since an encoder and an expensive and heavy servo axis would also have to be installed.
- the material position is precisely monitored via the encoder and the motors are regulated.
- the object of the invention is therefore to create an embroidery machine and a method with which the lateral tension the embroidery base can be improved.
- the area adjoining the transition between the stitch pads is always kept taut and the stick base is also shifted in vertical direction, ie in the transport direction of the stick bottom on the upper winding shaft without the use of sensing means and without a complex control for driving the pin cushions of the side tensioning rod and the winding shaft.
- the two opposite pin cushions located at the level of the needles of the embroidery machine are held clamped with respect to the frame of the embroidery machine.
- the embroidery base By engaging several pin cushions on each side of the embroidery base during the corrugation, the embroidery base can be kept stretched over a greater length in the vertical direction, so that there is also no inclination to the warp and weft threads, i.e. an oblique distortion. Clamping at least one of the pin cushions on each side of the embroidery area by clamping means which are attached to the embroidery machine frame ensures that the clamped embroidery base area cannot move in the vertical direction. As a result, embroidery needles inserted during corrugation are not bent and therefore cannot break. The continuation of the embroidery pattern takes place exactly in the tenths of a millimeter on the Place where the previous design ended. Because of the sticking needles that have remained inserted and in particular because of the pressed-on fabric presser paws, even very sensitive materials for the embroidery base, such as tulle, are not stressed to such an extent that damage can occur in the area of the pin cushions.
- the means for holding the pin cushions in place during the curling are attached to the embroidery machine frame. This increases the moving mass of the gate insignificantly. It is also ensured that the tension on the embroidery base is not changed in the horizontal direction and, in particular, that the clamped embroidery area cannot be displaced in the vertical direction.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention makes it possible that the needling of the fabric onto the pin cushion takes place without manual intervention, that is to say completely automatically, that is to say without manual intervention, as soon as the edge of the fabric moves from the lower fabric shaft Approaching embroidery area.
- the needling is done very precisely and extremely evenly.
- the synchronous outward pushing of the edge areas of the supplied material or embroidery base ensures that the warp threads of the supplied material are introduced into the new embroidery area without lateral shifts.
- the construction of the embroidery machine gate and the holding and clamping elements is simple and no drive is required to precisely hold the taut area of the embroidery base with the last stitches before the start of the corrugation in order to resume the embroidery of the stitch pattern after the corrugation be able.
- extremely small forces act on the held area of the stick base during the wave.
- the means for laterally tensioning or outwardly pushing the incoming fabric are attached to the struts of the gate and are consequently always exactly in line with the tensioning frame when the fabric is needled.
- the tensioning frame of a large embroidery machine comprises two spaced apart vertically extending frame parts 3 and 5, between which an upper winding shaft 7 and a lower winding shaft 9 are rotatably and drivably mounted.
- the drives of the two winding shafts 7 and 9 are not shown.
- the two winding shafts 7 and 9 carry an embroidery base 11 which is held flat between the two winding shafts 7, 9.
- the connection between the upper edge of the embroidery base 11, the warp threads of which run horizontally and the weft threads of which run vertically, with the winding shaft 7 and its lower edge with the winding shaft 9 takes place in a manner known from the prior art. This is not described in detail here.
- the two frame parts 3 and 5 are guided displaceably in the vertical direction (Y direction) on vertically positioned guide rails 13.
- the guide rails 13 and the Gates 1 attached to it are in turn displaceable with racks 15 in the horizontal direction.
- the shift in the horizontal direction takes place via pinions 17 which are driven by a servomotor 19.
- the frame parts 3, 5 are mounted displaceably in the vertical direction with a rack 21, which is displaceable by a second pinion 23, driven by a second servomotor 25. With the two servomotors 19 and 25, the two frame parts 3, 5 as well as the two winding shafts 7 and 9 with the embroidery base 11 stretched thereon can be moved in the vertical and / or horizontal direction and thus the embroidery needles 26 arranged in a horizontal plane can move the Embroidery base 11 can be embroidered. In Figure 4 the presser foot 28 between the needles 26 and also the embroidery base 11 are shown schematically.
- two chain wheels 27 are attached to each of the two frame parts 3 and 5 of the gate 1 on supports not visible in the figures, over which endless chains 29 are arranged in a revolving manner.
- Pin cushions 33 are placed on the chain links 31 of the chains 29.
- Thorns 63 on the pincushion 33 are directed in the direction of the stick bottom 11 and consequently only in the Figures 13 to 15 visible.
- the thorns 63 are preferably not perpendicular to the plane of the stick bottom 11, but inclined to do so.
- the inclined arrangement of the thorns 63 on the pin cushion 33 enables the embroidery base 11 to be held securely when the pin cushion 33 is displaced for waving or tensioning the embroidery base 11. The higher the tension, the deeper the thorns 63 engage in the embroidery base ( Fig. 15 ).
- Flag-like guide plates 35 are formed on the back of the pin cushions 33.
- a holding device 37 is arranged, which is attached directly to the machine frame 41 of the embroidery machine independently of the gate 1 and is guided horizontally on a rail 39 ( Figures 5 and 11 ).
- the holding device 37 in Fig. 11 comprises a boom 43 which is arranged horizontally displaceably on the rail 39.
- the boom 43 carries a holding plate 45 on which a pair of rollers 47 is fastened on eccentric bolts 49, the eccentric bolts 49 of the two rollers of the roller pair 47 being arranged at a distance from one another.
- the pair of rollers 47 is rotatably mounted on the horizontally arranged eccentric bolts 49 which are perpendicular to the plate 45.
- the two rollers of the roller pair 47 engage on both sides without play on a vertically arranged guide rail 51 or roll on their surfaces without play.
- the Guide rail 51 is arranged on a chain guide 75 for chain 29.
- a clamping and holding element 53 is attached to the holding plate 45.
- the clamping and holding element 53 comprises two clamping jaws 55 which are pivotably mounted on a vertically lying shaft 57 which is fastened to the holding plate 45.
- the clamping jaws 55 are carried by lever arms 59, the ends of which are connected to a pneumatic drive 61.
- the guide plates 35 of the pin cushions 33 can be moved without contact when the clamping jaws 55 are open (cf. Figures 5 and 11 ). In the clamped position according to Figure 11 press the clamping jaws 55 against the guide plates 35 and hold them firmly.
- two or more chain links 31 with their guide plates 35 are simultaneously clamped by the clamping jaws 55 and held stationary with respect to the machine frame 41.
- the common pivot shaft 57 for the clamping jaws 55 allows them to align themselves automatically with the plates 35 when they are clamped and consequently press against the guide plates 35 with uniform forces.
- each pin cushion 33 is fastened by suitable means, for example screws or rivets 65, to a chain link 31 or to bolts connecting the chain links 31.
- the pin cushion 33 consists of a sheet metal part bent several times, an injection molded part or another suitable material.
- a first section 67 of the pin cushion 33 lies parallel to the chain link 31.
- This is followed by a third section 71 lying parallel to the first section 67.
- the spikes 63 are attached to a fourth section 73, which is inclined to the third section 71.
- the flag-like plate 35 is also formed or formed on the third section 71 attached.
- the plate 35 is formed from the third section 71 by means of a stamping / bending process.
- the plate 35 can also, for example, be welded to the third section 71 or fastened in some other way.
- the pincushion 33 can be produced very inexpensively by the punching / bending process and, in addition, weight can be saved by using an area of the section 71 as a flag 35, which has a positive effect on the total mass of the chain 29, which is connected to the gate 1 during embroidery has to be moved.
- the clamping jaws 55 By actuating the pneumatic drive 61, the clamping jaws 55 are closed, between which those guide plates 35 of the pin cushions 33 lie, which hold the embroidery base 11 taut on both sides outside the last stitches of the embroidery pattern and fix the guide plates 35 lying between the clamping jaws 55 on the chain links 31 with respect to the Frame 41 of the embroidery machine.
- the pin cushions 33 By clamping the pin cushions 33 to the side of the needles 27, the area of the embroidery base 11, which is held taut by the connected pin cushions 33, can no longer move in the vertical direction.
- the gate 1 with the winding shafts 7 and 9 attached to it is now guided downwards by the servomotor 25.
- the sprockets 27 with the chain 29 and the chain guide 75, which are attached to the gate 1, also move downwards.
- the two winding shafts 7 and 9 are driven in such a way that the embroidered embroidery base 11 is wound onto the upper winding shaft 7 and the not yet embroidered embroidery base area is unwound from the lower winding shaft 9.
- the chain wheels 27 are set in rotation by the guide plates 35, pin cushions 33, chain links 29, which are held clamped on the one hand, and by the downward movement of the chain wheels 27, on the other hand.
- the sprockets 27 on the left side of the embroidery base 11 rotate in the counterclockwise direction, those on the right side in clockwise direction.
- the chain links 31 with the pin cushions 33 between the chain wheels 27, on which the embroidery base 11 is held taut do not move in a manner analogous to the plates of an impacted caterpillar vehicle that lie on the floor.
- the chain links 31 located at the top are individually guided away from the edge of the stick bottom 11 around the chain wheels 27 located at the top.
- the embroidery base 11 is detached from the thorns 63 on the pin cushions 33.
- the embroidery base 11 is detached from the thorns 63 of the pin cushions 33 by appropriately arranged release agents, which are not described in detail here. These can have a structure like those in FIG EP 919 657 B1 .
- the clamping and holding elements 53 or their clamping jaws 55 can be opened.
- the embroidery patterns that were no longer continued at the end of the previous first embroidery process can now be embroidered precisely and without deviation or offset.
- the clamping jaws 55 remain open and the guide plates 35 on the chain links 31 can Slide through contactlessly between the clamping jaws 55 and do not prevent them from driving past when the stick base 11 moves upward relative to the clamping jaws 55 with the gate 1. This is ensured by the pair of rollers 47.
- the clamping jaws 55 can again be closed because the situation then occurred again as it did in the Figures 1 and 2 has been illustrated and described.
- needling devices 77 are arranged on the two vertically extending frame parts of the gate 1. These each include a support plate 79 on which a drive motor 81 is mounted pivotably about a vertical axis A.
- the drive motor 81 carries a cylindrical roller 83 with an elastic jacket surface on its output shaft.
- the roller 83 has an abrasion-resistant surface made of natural rubber, for example made of para-rubber or a similar, other material having optimal friction properties for pushing the embroidery base, at least over a partial area.
- the roller 83 can also be designed as a brush roller with radially arranged bristles.
- the bristle ends arranged in a cylindrical surface form a rough surface.

- the pressure wheel 89 is mounted on a stub axle 91 which is fastened to the boom 87 perpendicular to the boom 87.
- a guide plate 93 is configured with a partially curved edge. Its vertical
- the aligned edge region 95 lies parallel to the needles 33 ′ of the pin cushions 33.
- a swivel lever 97 is also attached to the upper or lower swivel plate 85, with which the two swivel plates 85 together with the drive motor 81 and roller 83 as well as the pressure wheel 89 and guide plate 93 from a working position ( Figure 16 ) to a rest position ( Figure 17 ) or a position for inserting the stick bottom can be pivoted.

Description
The subject of the invention is an embroidery machine for corrugating an embroidery base between two winding shafts arranged in parallel according to the preamble of
The subject matter of the invention is also a method for needling on the corrugation of the fabric for the embroidery base according to the preamble of claim 10.
Before the embroidery of an embroidery base newly fed into the embroidery area begins, the embroidery base is advantageously corrugated several times from one wave to the other, thereby balancing and aligning the tension and alignment of the weft and warp threads.
In the case of embroidery machines with a gate, which allows the embroidery base to be shifted by winding the embroidered area onto the upper shaft and unrolling the unembroidered embroidery base from the lower shaft, the embroidery base is released from the side tensioning strips for a displacement of the embroidery base, then the displacement, i.e. the waving made in order to finally hang the embroidery base again in the side tensioning strips.

The embroidery machine gate has release devices in order to release the embroidery base from the side tensioning strips. As a result, loosening by hand can be avoided and at the same time only that area of the embroidery base is loosened from the side tensioning strips, which must necessarily be loosened before winding.
This means that part of the embroidery base can be left stretched. The release devices are arranged in a stationary manner on the gate and the side tension bars are movable relative to the release devices, so that when the stick base is moved in the gate, the stick base and the side tension bars are released from one another. The side tension bars have a large number of thorns for hanging the embroidery base. With these thorns, the embroidery base is held reliably in the tried and tested manner.
The segment-like side tensioning strips are connected to the chain and are guided straight through the rollers of the chain in a guide rail on the stick bottom side. The guide ensures constant tension even when the side tension bar is moved.

Theoretically, such a device can be used to synchronize the gate movement with the displacement of the side tensioning rod segments. In practice, such a project is very complex, since an encoder and an expensive and heavy servo axis would also have to be installed. The material position is precisely monitored via the encoder and the motors are regulated.
The object of the invention is therefore to create an embroidery machine and a method with which the lateral tension the embroidery base can be improved.
This object is achieved by an embroidery machine according to
After the method, the area adjoining the transition between the stitch pads is always kept taut and the stick base is also shifted in vertical direction, ie in the transport direction of the stick bottom on the upper winding shaft without the use of sensing means and without a complex control for driving the pin cushions of the side tensioning rod and the winding shaft. Conveniently, during the corrugation of the embroidery base from the lower winding shaft to the upper winding shaft and the displacement of the gate, at least the two opposite pin cushions located at the level of the needles of the embroidery machine are held clamped with respect to the frame of the embroidery machine. As a result, when waving, there is no shift of the embroidery pattern between the first sticket segment and the second sticket segment following the waving. By engaging several pin cushions on each side of the embroidery base during the corrugation, the embroidery base can be kept stretched over a greater length in the vertical direction, so that there is also no inclination to the warp and weft threads, i.e. an oblique distortion.
It has proven to be advantageous to detach the embroidery base above the area of the needles from the pin cushions which form the tension bar and are not held in place, and thus to wind the embroidery base onto the upper winding shaft without creases.
The means for holding the pin cushions in place during the curling are attached to the embroidery machine frame. This increases the moving mass of the gate insignificantly. It is also ensured that the tension on the embroidery base is not changed in the horizontal direction and, in particular, that the clamped embroidery area cannot be displaced in the vertical direction.
A particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention makes it possible that the needling of the fabric onto the pin cushion takes place without manual intervention, that is to say completely automatically, that is to say without manual intervention, as soon as the edge of the fabric moves from the lower fabric shaft Approaching embroidery area. The needling is done very precisely and extremely evenly.
The synchronous outward pushing of the edge areas of the supplied material or embroidery base ensures that the warp threads of the supplied material are introduced into the new embroidery area without lateral shifts.
The construction of the embroidery machine gate and the holding and clamping elements is simple and no drive is required to precisely hold the taut area of the embroidery base with the last stitches before the start of the corrugation in order to resume the embroidery of the stitch pattern after the corrugation be able. In addition, extremely small forces act on the held area of the stick base during the wave.
Due to the arrangement of the holding and clamping elements and their drives on the machine frame, for the pin cushions on the clamping frame, the mass of the gate is not increased by them.
The means for laterally tensioning or outwardly pushing the incoming fabric are attached to the struts of the gate and are consequently always exactly in line with the tensioning frame when the fabric is needled.

The tensioning frame of a large embroidery machine, called

The two

During the corrugation of the stick bottom 11 from the lower winding
