Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of packaging of products, in particular cosmetic products, and more particularly to a single-use packaging for the packaging of cosmetics applicator.
- cosmetic product is meant here any product as defined in Regulation EC No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products.
- cosmetic product applicator any cosmetic product applying to the skin using an applicator comprising a gripping element for gripping the applicator.
- the substance to be applied is a paste or a powder, and is in particular a cosmetic substance such as mascara, gloss or kohl.
- the applicator may be a brush, a pencil or a brush.
- Such packaging also has a role in the promotion of cosmetics, since they are used as marketing media in their own right.
- the samples are for example distributed in magazines, flyers, but can also be inset, that is to say directly attached to cartons, usually flap, so as to highlight them.
- the opening of the packaging must indeed be performed quickly, easily, by not damaging the packaged product, and causing no risk of injury or dirt for the user.
- WO 2010/018320 (Alcan Packaging Beauty Services) describes a cosmetic product disposable applicator having a similar appearance to the original product, but reduced dimensions. Such products are commonly referred to as "miniatures".
- the applicator tip is for example a "twisted wire brush” type mascara brush comprising a twisted metal wire enclosing a plurality of bristles, one end of the twisted wire core being fixed in the rod, the applicator tip may be that of the applicator distributor intended for sale corresponding to the sample.
- US 7641409 (ELC Management) proposes a disposable assembly comprising a shell provided with a front wall, fixed by sealing on a rear wall by a lower seal and an upper seal, a peelable intermediate seal being provided so as to secure the opening.
- the upper seal is peelable with a tongue, making it easier to open the disposable set.
- the handling of such a disposable set may present some difficulties.
- the front walls and the rear walls are made of a flexible and elastic material, so that they can not both maintain open during the extraction of the applicator. So that the walls do not rub against the applicator, which could damage it, the user is obliged to hold the open walls with one hand, while removing the applicator.
- Such manipulation requires some dexterity for the user, so as not to stain fingers.
- the application portion touches the user's fingers, there is a risk of contaminating the application portion.
- DE 29904857 U1 discloses an applicator comprising a shell provided with a peelable lid with a tongue.
- a perforation makes it possible to make the lid frangible when it is peeled over the gripping part of the applicator.
- the fact of making perforations weakens the packaging.
- the sample under pressure from another object for example if it is put in a pocket, can be pierced, causing leakage of the cosmetic substance.
- impurities or microorganisms may penetrate the interior of the cosmetic product. Such contamination could have serious consequences for the health of the user, particularly for products intended to be applied in the vicinity of the eyes.
- EP 2106719 (Socoplan) describes a cosmetic product sample package, this packaging comprising a line or a frangible zone in a thermoformed shell.
- This packaging comprising a line or a frangible zone in a thermoformed shell.
- the setting up of a frangible zone leads to a risk of inflow and outflow of fluids, with loss of the qualities of the packaged product.
- the invention aims to overcome the disadvantages presented with reference to the prior art.
- An object of the invention is to provide a packaging of products, in particular sampled applicator cosmetics, this packaging being easy to open.
- Another object of the invention is to provide such a packaging, to ensure integrity, especially microbial integrity, and minimize the loss of water of the formula of a cosmetic product.
- Another object of the invention is to provide such a packaging, able to be inserted.
- Another object of the invention is to provide such a packaging, simple and economical to obtain.
- Another object of the invention is to provide a sampled cosmetic product comprising a cosmetic product packaging applicator as presented above.
- this packaging comprising:
- a shell including a first portion, the first portion comprising a first cavity, and a second portion comprising a second cavity, the cavities being interconnected so as to allow the reception of an applicator;
- a lid disposed on the shell so as to cover the first cavity and the second cavity, the lid being welded around the first cavity on the first portion of the shell forming a first weld, and around the second cavity on the second portion of the shell forming a second weld, the first weld being intended to be desoldered by peeling the cover to allow the opening of the first cavity,
- the packaging comprising reinforcing means separating the first portion and the second portion, the reinforcing means being intended to prevent the desoldering of the second weld when the desoldering of the first weld occurs during peeling of the lid.
- Such packaging hermetically closed, then opens easily, without risking staining the hands of a user.
- the reinforcing means comprises a weld bead obtained by welding, the weld bead being made between the first portion and the second portion;
- the weld bead has a width greater than the width of the first weld
- the cavities each comprise a periphery, the first weld and / or the second weld are made in the vicinity of the periphery;
- the first portion comprises a first edge disposed around the first weld, the cover defines a free edge facing the first edge;
- the second portion comprises a second edge disposed around the second weld, the seal being sealed on the second edge; the first portion and the second portion are coplanar, so that the shell provided with the lid has a flat face;
- the package comprises an intermediate cavity between the first cavity and the second cavity, the intermediate cavity having a transverse dimension smaller than the transverse dimensions of the first cavity and the second cavity; the intermediate cavity comprises a neckline, the neck extending projecting inside the intermediate cavity.
- an applicator comprising a grippable element, and an applicator element, a cosmetic substance
- the gripping element being disposed within the first cavity, the applicator element and the cosmetic substance being arranged within the second cavity.

- the product is of the cosmetic type.
- the cosmetic product 1 comprises an applicator 2, a cosmetic substance (not shown) and a peelable package 3.
- the cosmetic substance is a liquid, a paste or a powder.
- the cosmetic substance is for example a mascara.
- the applicator 2 comprises a prehensible element 4, connected to an application element 5 by means of an intermediate element 6.
- the gripping element 4 allows the gripping of the applicator 2 by the fingers of the user, so that the application element 5 can be brought into contact with the skin of the user.
- the sampled cosmetic product 1 is a mascara and the application element 5 is a brush.
- the sampled cosmetic product 1 is a blush, an eyeshadow, a lipstick, a lipstick, a gloss, a kohl, or any other product 1 sampled cosmetic comprising a cosmetic substance to be applied using an applicator.
- the applicator 2 as well as the cosmetic substance are disposed within the packaging 3.
- the cosmetic substance as well as the applicator 2 are confined in the conditioning 3.
- the opening of the package 3 gives the user access to the gripping element 4 of the applicator 2.
- the packaging 3 is then in an open configuration, as shown in FIG.
- the cosmetic substance is disposed in the packaging 3, and the application element 5 is engaged in the cosmetic substance, at the time of manufacture of the cosmetic product 1.
- the applicator 2 is previously imbibed with cosmetic substance before being put in place in the packaging 3.
- an orthogonal reference XYZ forming a direct trihedral, comprising three axes perpendicular two by two, namely:
- a Y axis defining a transverse direction, horizontal, which with the X axis defines a horizontal XY plane;
- the positive direction of the X axis is defined by the normal direction of withdrawal of the applicator 2 from the packaging 3.
- the package 3 comprises a shell 7 and a cover 8.
- the cap 8 hermetically closes the shell 7.
- the separation of the cap 8 of the shell 7 is by peeling the cap 8, as explained further in the description.
- the packaging 3 has an outer contour 9 advantageously substantially rectangular, so as to limit falls and losses of material during its manufacture.
- the package 3 is obtained from processes using rectangular plates. In other implementations, the shell and the seal are obtained from coils.
- the shell 7 has sufficient rigidity so that its handling, for example when opening the packaging 3 by peeling the cap 8, does not cause its deformation.
- the shell 7 is thus usable as a support for the user to pull the lid 8 and proceed to peeling.
- the opening of the packaging 3 is simplified.
- the shell 7 provides protection against any impact, for example during the transport of the packaging 3.
- the integrity of the cosmetic product 1 is respected, which minimizes the risk of leakage of the cosmetic substance or the entry of impurities or germs into the packaging 3.
- the shell 7 comprises a first cavity 10 and a second cavity 11, both arranged in extension of one another, and interconnected by an intermediate cavity 12.
- Such an arrangement allows an alignment of all the cavities 11, 12 in a substantially longitudinal direction, the shell 7 accommodating an applicator 2 extending substantially longitudinally.
- the cavities 11, 12 are not aligned in a substantially longitudinal direction, the mascara brush being curved.
- the first cavity 10 is disposed within a first portion 13 of the shell.
- the first cavity 10 is intended to accommodate the gripping element 4 of the applicator. All around the first cavity 10, the first portion 13 has a first edge 14.
- the second cavity 11 is disposed within a second portion 15 of the shell.
- the second cavity 11 is intended to house the application element 5 of the applicator. All around the second cavity 11, the second portion 15 has a second edge 16.
- the intermediate cavity 12 straddles between the first portion 13 and the second portion 15.
- the intermediate cavity 12 is surrounded by the first edge 14 on the first portion 13, and the second edge 16 on the second portion 15.
- the intermediate cavity 12 comprises a part belonging to the first portion 13, and another portion belonging to the second portion 15. In this way, the intermediate cavity 12 is able to receive the intermediate element 6 of the applicator.
- the first edge 14 and the second edge 16 are both coplanar.
- the packaging 3 thus has a flat face 17 extending for example along a horizontal plane, the cover 8 being placed on the first rim 14 and the second rim 16 in a plane manner.
- Such a feature facilitates the insertion and fixation of the package 3 within a card (not shown in the figures).
- the first cavity 10 and the second cavity 11 are substantially symmetrical to each other.
- the first cavity 10 and the second cavity 11 each have a longitudinal section having a substantially trapezoidal geometry, while the intermediate cavity 12 has a rectangular longitudinal section.
- the first cavity 10 defines a substantially parallelepipedal volume, which gives it in particular a flat bottom.
- the first cavity 10 has a vertical dimension complementary to the vertical dimension of the element 4 is prehensile when the applicator 2 is positioned in the packaging 3.
- the element 4 can not be moved from top to bottom when it is in place in the packaging 3.
- the amount of material used for the formation of the first cavity 10 is optimized, which makes it possible to limit the costs.
- the first cavity 10 comprises for example a clearance between a wall 18 before the first cavity 10 and an end 19 of the element 4 grippable, when the applicator 2 is positioned within the 3. In this way, sufficient space is left to allow removal of the applicator 2 from the package 3 without contacting a wall 18 before the first cavity 10.
- the first cavity 10 has a transverse dimension allowing the passage of a thumb and an index. The gripping of the gripping element 4 is then facilitated, since a maximum space is left to allow the insertion of two fingers within the first cavity 10.
- an applicator 2 having a prehensile element 4 having an end 19 having a head
- the intermediate cavity 12 is shallower than the second cavity 11, that is, the intermediate cavity 12 has a vertical dimension smaller than the vertical dimension second cavity 11. In this way, the applicator 2 rests on the intermediate element 6 within the intermediate cavity 12, without the risk that the applicator element 5 comes into contact with the wall of the second cavity 11.
- the intermediate cavity 12 has a U-shaped cross section. In this way, when the packaging 3 is in open configuration, the intermediate cavity 12 located within the first portion 13 is uncovered. The output of the intermediate element 6 of the applicator 2 is thus facilitated.
- the intermediate cavity 12 has a transverse dimension smaller than the transverse dimension of the application element 5.
- Such an arrangement is particularly advantageous for pressing the applicator element 5 of the cosmetic product 1, against a side face 21 of the intermediate cavity 12, which ensures a good distribution of the cosmetic substance over the entire body. element 5 of application.
- the intermediate cavity 12 comprises for example a side face 21 provided with a neck 22.
- This neck 22 extends projecting inwardly of the cavity, and thus creates a relief.
- the application element 5 firstly moves in translation and rubs against the neck 22, causing pressure.
- a homogeneous distribution of the cosmetic substance is thus favored, which limits the risk of a localized concentration of product on a portion of the application element, but also to have an excess of product on the element 5 of application.
- the application element 5 such as a brush is wrung and the packaging 3 allows clean use, avoiding the risk of contamination for the user.
- the second cavity 11 has a vertical dimension complementary to the vertical dimension of the application element 5. In this way, the amount of material is limited to what is strictly necessary. In addition, such reduced space makes it possible to limit the empty space, and to optimize the quantity of cosmetic substance to be introduced into the second cavity 11.
- the shell 7 is obtained by thermoforming process of a plate of a thermoplastic material previously softened by heating.
- the production of shell 7 is economically feasible in both small series and mass production.
- the design of a specific tool is relatively easy and low cost, compared to other known methods, the modification of the geometry of the shell, in particular cavities, is quickly achievable, which is advantageous to take into account peculiarities specific to each cosmetic product 1, and allows to obtain a multitude of different shell geometry 7.
- the package 3 is provided with a cap 8, the package 3 being shown in closed configuration.
- the cavities are both hermetically sealed, in order to prevent any penetration of impurities or germs into the packaging 3, and to limit any risk of leakage of the cosmetic product 1.
- the cap 8 is for example made using a material comprising aluminum and at least one thermoplastic film.
- the cover 8 thus offers sufficient strength to allow peeling without being torn, and to ensure the confinement of the cosmetic product 1 and the applicator. In this way, the integrity of the cosmetic product 1 is respected, also avoiding any microbial pollution once the packaging 3 in closed configuration.
- the cover 8 comprises a peelable fraction 23, covering the first portion 13, in particular the first cavity 10, and a non-peelable fraction 24 covering the second portion 15, in particular the second cavity 11. In this way, the opening of the packaging 3 is performed by peeling the peelable fraction 23 of the lid 8.
- the cap 8 advantageously has a periphery 25 identical to the contour 9 of the shell, so as to be shaped on the shell.
- the cover 8 is welded around the cavities, that is to say surrounds the first cavity 10 on the first portion 13 of the shell 7 by forming a first weld 26, and around the second portion 15 forming a second weld 27.
- welded cap is used here to denote the fact that the cap is sealed to the shell, for example by hot welding, high frequency welding, ultrasonic welding, bonding.
- Ultrasonic welding provides high pressure and high heat on a very small surface, to achieve a localized definitive weld.
- a weak weld 26 of two layers of peelable material generates a surface adhesion between these two layers, to form the peelable fraction 23, while a strong weld 27 of these two same layers generates the mixing these layers causing them to lose their peelable character, to form the non-peelable fraction 24 of the operculum.
- the pressure threshold or the amount of heat provided during sealing of the lid on the shell are different between the peelable fraction 23 and the non-peelable fraction 24, a weak weld 26 being obtained by applying a pressure and a lesser amount of heat than for a strong solder 27.
- the lid and the shell are advantageously made of a multilayer material.
- a barrier material such as aluminum makes it possible to avoid product losses by migration through the packaging.
- a non-metallic layer is in contact with the cosmetic product, and an outer layer is formed of one or more contiguous layers of thermoplastic materials such as vinyl polymers, polyester, polyolefins, polyamides.
- the welds 26 are made so that they can be unsoldered, for example by pulling in a vertical direction.
- the welds 26 have dimensions allowing them to be desoldered by a predetermined force, corresponding to a force exerted by a user to peel the seal 8.
- a weld too resistance has the consequence to prevent the opening, the operculum 8 yielding before the weld, while a weld too weak resistance offers insufficient security.
- the angles of the welds 26 form roundings 28, in order to avoid any concentration of stress during the peeling of the cover 8. Such a concentration of stress could create blockages at the opening, requiring the user to force the opening, and cause tearing of the lid 8.
- the first weld 26 is made in the vicinity of the periphery 29 of the first cavity 10.
- the first weld 26 then has a shape substantially identical to that of the periphery 29. In this way, a maximum space is left between the contour 9 of the shell 7 and the first weld 26, the peelable fraction 23 of the cover 8 defining a free edge 30.
- a free edge 30 of the cover 8 is opposite the first edge 14 when the package 3 is in closed configuration.
- the free edge 30 can then be grasped by a thumb and the forefinger of a user, which gives the user an increased gripping effort, and thus simplifies the peeling of the peelable fraction of the operculum 8.
- first cavity 10 is then opened by desoldering the first weld 26.
- a second weld 27 is made in the vicinity of the periphery 29 of the second cavity 11.
- the second weld 27 then has a shape substantially identical to that of the periphery 29.
- the second weld 27 is made at most far from the contour 9, which makes it possible to secure it from any unwanted tearing.
- the packaging 3 further comprises a reinforcing means, for example a welding bead 31, separating the first portion 13 from the second portion 15.
- the bead 31 is disposed between the first portion 13 and the second portion 15
- Such a weld seam 31 prevents desoldering of the first weld 26 to desoldering the second weld 27 during peeling of the cover 8.
- the peelable fraction 23 is dissociated from the shell, causing desoldering of the first weld 26, the weld seam 31 then blocks the advance of the seal 8.
- the peeling of the seal 8 stops at the fraction 23 peelable.
- the non-peelable fraction 24, in contact with the cosmetic substance can not be opened. It is thus avoided contact between the fingers of the user and the cosmetic substance.
- the weld bead 31 is disposed perpendicularly to the detachment direction of the cover 8, and is interposed between the first portion 13 and the second portion 15.
- the weld bead 31 extends in a substantially transverse direction if the peeling is performed in a substantially longitudinal direction. In this way, the tear resistance of the lid 8 is maximum, and a real blockage during peeling of the peelable fraction 23 is created.
- the weld bead 31 has a greater width than the first and second welds 26, 27.
- the weld bead 31 is thus more resistant to tearing than the first and second welds 26, 27.
- the blocking of the coat the operculum 8 once the open configuration reached is thus reinforced.
- the free edge of the non-peelable fraction 24 is sealed on the second edge 16. In this way, the user is prevented from wanting to peel the non-peelable fraction 24.
- such a seal also makes it possible to instantly identify the non-peelable fraction 24 of the peelable fraction 23. Such aspects are advantageous in order to facilitate the use of the packaging 3. Such a seal also makes it possible to protect the second weld 27. The risk of degradation of the second weld 27, detrimental to the sealing of the second cavity 11, is limited. . The sealing of the non-peelable fraction 24 thus reinforces the safety of the packaging 3.
- the package 3 is opened by the user, and the applicator 2 is removed from the package 3, for example in the following manner.
- the user grasps the shell 7 with his first hand. Using the thumb and forefinger of his second hand, the user pinches the free edge 30, advantageously on a corner of the package 3, which forms a tongue 32, as shown in FIG.
- the user With the aid of a second hand, the user holds the operculum 8 open against the non-peelable fraction 24 with his index finger, while exerting a grip on the shell 7 thanks to his thumb and middle finger.
- the hand of the user releases the grip of the shell 7, grasps the flat head of the applicator 2, and rotates about a longitudinal axis to obtain a sufficient grip to allow gripping of the grippable element.
- the application element 5 has little risk of rubbing the peelable fraction 23 or touching the fingers of the user.
- the packaging that has been described finds advantageous application in the production of samples of cosmetic product, hygiene, care or medication.
- the product to be applied is in a small amount, for example of the order of 0.1 to more than 10 ml, and in particular of the order of 1 ml.
- the small amount of product corresponds to a dose suitable for a single application or use for functional or aesthetic purposes.
- a single product especially a cosmetic product, is packaged. It is understood that two products, or more than two products may each be arranged in a tank formed in the shell, each product being bondable to an applicator.
- the cosmetic single-use product 1 packaging has the following advantages in particular:
- thermoformed shell having overall rigidity; opening of the packaging by removal of the cap 8, without bending or twisting force on the packaging, the applicator thus being protected from any risk of degradation or rupture when opening the packaging;
- the packaging not comprising a frangible zone and the material forming the seal and the shell being advantageously multilayer, a barrier layer, for example aluminum, limiting the risks of diffusion of chemical species through packaging;
