Abstract
Description
- The present disclosure relates to a displacement system for opening and closing a building aperture cover such as a window or a door, a building aperture cover and use of a displacement system.
- Systems, such as automation systems for opening windows or doors in a building are widely used. These may comprise a push-pull chain connected to e.g. a window or door, and by operating the push pull chain by means of a motor, e.g. through a reduction gear, the push-pull chain opens or closes the window or door.
- However, such systems may be vulnerable to uninvited guests such as burglars, as a high pulling force pulling in the window may open the window or door by either breaking the motor, gear or the like, or by forcing the gear and motor to rotate and thus extend the push-pull chain, thereby, providing access to the uninvited guest. Thus, different solutions have been suggested in order to solve this problem. For example,
DE19534614 discloses a safety mechanism having a locking member to provide a locking engagement on a drive.EP2146032B1 discloses a solution where a control pin is deflected and guided into a track in a housing, andAU2014100240 - These solutions may however suffer from drawbacks in that the solutions may e.g. be mechanically complex to provide or implement, rather space consuming and/or provide a rather low protection/security.
- The present disclosure relates to a solution, which may solve or reduce for example one or more of the above-mentioned drawbacks.
- The present disclosure relates in a fist aspect to a displacement system for opening and closing a building aperture cover such as a window or a door, wherein said displacement system comprises a drive system comprising a drive unit, and an actuator system.
- The actuator system comprises a push-pull chain configured to be driven by the drive system to be retracted or extended, and a locking part displacer connected to said push-pull chain and arranged to be displaced relative to said push-pull chain when subjected to a pulling force or pushing force wherein said displacement is in the direction of said pulling force or pushing force.
- One or more locking parts is/are movably connected to said actuator system. Said one or more locking parts is/are configured to move between a locking position and an unlocking position. The one or more locking parts are connected to said locking part displacer so that the one or more locking parts is/are displaced between said locking position and said unlocking position when the locking part displacer is displaced relatively to said push-pull chain, whereby an engagement part of the locking part is displaced in a direction transverse to said subjected force.
- This may e.g. provide a mechanically simple and space saving system for improved protection from unwanted guests such as burglars, and/or other forces such as wind forces pulling in a building aperture cover connected to the actuator system.
- Moreover or alternatively, it may help to provide a solution wherein the drive system such as a motor, a gear such as a reduction gear arrangement and/or the like is/are not damaged and/or worn by pulling forces from unwanted guests, wind forces wind acting on the building aperture covering, or such wearing or damage may be reduced.
- It may also provide a solution which is more easily integrated into existing displacement system concepts or solutions comprising a push-pull chain and a drive system configured for opening and closing a building aperture cover. It may also provide a solution where no substantial re-design of an existing actuator system such as the push pull chain and/or of the drive system needs to be provided.
- Additionally or alternatively, it may provide a space saving locking solution having a low number of moving parts.
- The push-pull chain is configured to be driven by the drive system to be retracted or extended thereby enabling a closing or opening of a building aperture cover connected to the actuator system.
- It is generally understood that the pulling force in one or more aspects of the present disclosure may be provided by a burglar or another person pulling in the building aperture cover such as a window or door connected to the actuator system when it is closed so as to try to force it to open. The pulling force may also in aspects be provided by the actuator system when arranging the building aperture cover at a closed position.
- The pushing force may e.g. in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be provided by the actuator system when opening the building aperture cover, by a unlocking position displacement system e.g. comprising a spring system and/or by a weight of a component such as a building aperture over and/or a part of the displacement system using e.g. gravity to place the locking part in the unlocking position.
- Generally it is understood that in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a pulling force applied at the building aperture cover or by the actuator system such as the push-pull chain driven by the drive system, together with an oppositely directed counter force may provide that the locking part is moved to the locking position. A pushing force provided by the drive system, a building aperture cover connected to the displacement system and/or an unlocking position displacement system may provide that the locking part(s) moves to the unlocking position to allow the building aperture to open or close. E.g. while a counter force is provided by a weight of the building aperture cover or the like.
- The displacement system is generally configured to be arranged to control a building aperture cover position dependent on open/close control input such as wireless or wired control signals, when installed at a building and connected to the building aperture cover.
- By the present disclosure, a solution may be obtained where a pulling force provided by the drive arrangement/system and/or a pulling force provided by a person trying to pull in the locking part displacer (at least indirectly by e.g. pulling in a building aperture cover connected to the locking part displacer), will inherently and mechanically prevent the locking part from entering the unlocking position until the drive system/arrangement pushes on the chain and/or the pulling force provided by a person trying to pull in the locking part displacer has been removed or reduced again.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, one or more chain linking members may connect said locking part displacer and said push-pull chain by one or more displaceable connections allowing a relative, such as a substantially linear, displacement between the one or more chain linking members and said locking part displacer.
- This may e.g. help to provide an improved control of the orientation of the locking part displacer relative to the chain, e.g. to avoid that the locking part displacer rotates or displaces in undesired directions when the pushing and/or pulling forces are induced.
- The one or more chain linking members may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be separate to the push-pull chain and said one or more locking parts, at least in the sense that the chain linking member(s) may be of a different design/constitution than the plurality of other chain links of the push-pull chain.
- For example, in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, one or both of said one or more chain linking members and said locking part displacer may comprise an oblong opening into which a guided part, such as one or more pin parts and/or rail parts extend.
- This may e.g. help to provide a mechanical and controlled guiding during the displacement of the one or more locking parts, and/or it may provide a space saving solution.
- For example, it may e.g. help to provide that the relative displacement between the locking part displacer and the push-pull chain is provided in a desired direction controlled by the said oblong openings, such as in the direction of the pulling or pushing force, when subjected to the pulling force or pushing force.
- Said oblong openings and pins may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be adapted so as to provide a substantially linear movement of the locking part displacer relative to the chain linking member, e.g. in the direction of the pulling or pushing forces.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said locking part displacer may be connected to said one or more locking parts through one or more openings, such as one or more oblong openings, in a chain linking member.
- This may e.g. help to provide a space saving and/or reliable solution for operating the one or more locking parts. Also, or alternatively it may help to provide a good force transfer to control the position of the one or more locking parts.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, at least a part of said one or more chain linking members may be positioned between said one or more locking parts and said locking part displacer.
- This may e.g. provide improved guiding and control of the locking part displacer and/or provide a space-saving solution.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts may be arranged between a chain-linking member and said locking part displacer.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, one or more guided members is/are guided in a displacing track, and wherein said displacing track is configured to provide said transverse displacement of said engagement part(s) when the guided member and displacing track are displaced relative to each other.
- This may e.g. provide a space saving and/or reliable solution for facilitating said transverse displacement of the engagement part or parts of the one or more locking parts.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said guided member may be fixed to or a part of said locking part displacer, said one or more locking parts and/or or said chain linking member.
- The guided member may e.g. be fixed so that it may not be moved relative to the part at which it is fixed, but in one or more aspects, e.g. a rotational movement of the guided member and the part at which it is fixed around a rotation axis may be allowed.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said displacing track may be arranged in said locking part displacer, said one or more locking parts or said chain linking member, such as in another part than the part comprising a guiding member configured to cooperate with the displacing track.
- For example, in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, the guided member may be fixedly connected to or be a part of said locking part displacer, and said displacing track may be provided in said locking part. This has shown to provide a reliable solution. It may also or alternatively provide a simple movement and/or force transfer when displacing the engagement part of the locking part.
- In Generally, in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts are configured to move to said locking position when a pulling force acts on said locking part displacer in a direction away from an end of the push-pull chain connected to the locking part displacer and/or said linking member.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts is/are configured to provide a rotational movement, such as around a first rotation axis, so as to allow said displacement of the engagement part of the locking part between said locking position and said unlocking position.
- This may e.g. provide a mechanically simple and reliable solution with a reduced need of moving parts in order to facilitate a movement of the engagement part of the locking part/parts between locked and unlocked positions.
- In one or more aspects, the rotational movement may comprise both a linear and a rotational movement of the engagement part of the one or more locking parts, or the rotational movement may comprise substantially alone a rotation around a rotation axis.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said rotational movement may e.g. be configured to be provided around a rotation axis defined by an opening in said chain linking member and/or said locking device.
- In further aspects, said one or more locking parts may be configured to provide alone a linear movement of the engagement part of the locking part in a direction transverse to said subjected force.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said locking part displacer may be arranged at and/or provides a free end of said actuator system to be connected to a building aperture cover, and/or wherein said locking part displacer comprises a connection interface to be connected to a building aperture cover.
- This may e.g. provide a simple solution and/or provide a space saving solution, and/or a solution where undesired clearance may be reduced or avoided when the chain is in its closing position to position a building aperture cover connected to the actuator system in a closed position.
- The locking part displacer may e.g. be configured to be connected t a building aperture cover by means of a mechanical connection, and may e.g. be a mounting comprising one or more recesses and/or protrusions for receiving or extending into a connection system of the building aperture cover, it may comprise screw holes for receiving screws and/or the like
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said push-pull chain, when retracted to a closing position by means of said drive system, may be configured to provide a pulling force to provide that the one or more locking parts is/are arranged in said locking position while the push-pull chain is in the closing position.
- This may provide that the one or more locking parts are ready to engage with, or engages with an engagement part connector when a pulling force is provided to for example try to force the building aperture cover open. It may also or alternatively help to assure a reduced clearance in the displacement system that may help to assure a tighter closing between the building aperture cover and a fixed frame such as a window or doorframe.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said engagement part of said one or more locking parts may be configured to engage with an engagement part connector when said push-pull chain has been retracted into a housing to a closing position by means of said drive system, when said one or more locking parts is/are arranged in said locking position, and when an external pulling force is provided in order to try to said push-pull the push-pull chain out of the housing.
- This may e.g. help to provide a space saving and at the same time burglar resistant solution. It may also or alternatively help to provide a solution that may be integrated with existing displacement system concepts or solutions and/or a solution where no substantial re-design of a push-pull actuator system needs to be provided.
- The engagement part connector may in one or more aspects be a part of a housing and/or a frame part of a housing enclosing the displacement system, it may be an integrated part of the building aperture cover and/or the like. The engagement part connector may also comprise one or more rods such as metal, e.g. steel, rods extending through or fixed to a housing part and connected to one more frame parts of a housing enclosing the drive system and a part of the chain, and/or connected to a building aperture cover frame.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a pushing force provided by said drive system and acting onto said push-pull chain is configured to arrange and/or keep said engagement part of the one or more locking parts in the unlocking, such as combined with a counter force provided by a weight of a building aperture cover to be opened or closed by means of the push-pull chain.
- This may e.g. provide an automatic control of the position of the locking part when opening and closing a building aperture cover connected to the actuator system.
- The building aperture cover such as a window, e.g. a roof window, may here, in aspects of the present disclosure provide a counterforce during opening and/or closing of the building aperture cover, such as by means of gravity. This may move the one or more locking parts to the unlocking position, at least during a part of an opening and/or closing operation provided by the actuator system.
- Generally, it is understood that in aspects of the present disclosure, the pulling or pushing forces acting on the system during opening or closing of a building aperture cover may thus e.g. be used for controlling the engagement part position, and this may provide a simple solution wherein the locking system is automatically activated and/or deactivated when desired/relevant.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts may, in the locking position, and when the push-pull chain is arranged in a substantially closed position, be configured to engage with an engagement part connector when subjected to a pulling force, such as a wind force or a person such as a burglar pulling in a building aperture cover to try to open the building aperture cover, so as to retain said push-pull chain in a closing position.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a relative displacement between the locking part displacer and said one or more chain linking member(s) and/or a relative displacement between the locking part displacer and the push-pull chain, in the direction of the pulling or pushing force is configured to be provided substantially parallel to a plane. This plane may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure extend substantially parallel to a major surface of said one or more chain linking members and/or said plane may extend parallel to a major surface of said one or more locking parts. Also or alternatively, said plane may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure extend substantially perpendicular to a first rotation axis around which the one or more locking parts is/are configured to rotate and/or said plane may extend substantially perpendicular to second rotation axes around which chain links of said push-pull chain are configured to rotate.
This may e.g. provide a space saving and/or more simple mechanical solution.
In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a relative rotation may also be configured to be provided between a chain linking member and a chain link of the push-pull chain around an axis parallel to the first rotation axis and/or second rotation axes, and the plane may also be perpendicular to this axis. - Said major surface of the one or more chain linking members and/or major surface of the one or more locking parts may e.g., in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, be provided by a major surface of a plate member/plate members providing the one or more chain linking members and/or one or more locking parts.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said engagement part may provide a hook part/shape and/or a protruding part for engaging with an engagement part connector in the locking position.
- A hook part may e.g. provide an improved safety as the engagement part connector may extend into a recess/concave part defining the hook part. Thus, when cooperating with the engagement part connector, and a pulling force has been provided, the pulling force and the hook shape may prevent a burglar or the like from forcing the locking part to the unlocking position until the hook is released from cooperating with the hook shape. However, the engagement part may also in aspects of the present disclosure comprise protruding part that is not hook-shaped, and a the pulling force may still prevent the locking part from entering the unlocking position.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts, said locking part displacer and/or said one or more chain linking members may comprise plate members such as one or more metal plates, e.g. steel plates.
- This may e.g. provide a strong and yet space saving locking solution that may e.g. more easily be integrated with /fit to existing push-pull chain solutions. It may also provide space and material that may comprise displacement recesses, holes and the like for providing connections between two or more of said one or more locking parts, said locking part displacer and/or said one or more chain linking members.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a housing arrangement may be configured to house and cover said drive system and a folded part of the push-pull chain when the push-pull chain is retracted. This housing arrangement may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be configured to be mounted on a building aperture covering frame part. Alternatively, in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said housing arrangement may be integrated in/into a building aperture covering frame.
- The present solution may provide a solution which may be more easily integrated into existing solutions for controlling the position of building aperture covers such as windows or doors, where the displacement system is arranged in a housing arrangement configured to be mounted on a building aperture covering frame part, and/or where the housing arrangement is an integrated part of a building aperture covering frame.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said displacement system comprises a further locking system. This further locking system is configured to enable that the push-pull chain can be extended or retracted when the drive system is turned on, and The further locking system is configured to prevent the push-pull chain from being extended or retracted when the drive system is turned off.
- The further locking system is a locking system that is further/in addition to the locking system provided by the locking part and locking part displacer system as described in the present disclosure. The further locking system may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be provided by a gear of the drive system being of the self-locking type. Thus, when pushing and/or pulling the push-chain by e.g. pulling in the building aperture cover connected to the actuator system, the gear will provide a resistance/prevention against this pull force. Though, the drive system may activate/operate the gear to extend or retract the push-pull chain.
- The further locking system may also or alternatively in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be a chain locking solution engaging with the push-pull chain in a housing. This chain locking solution may be may be configured to automatically interlock with the push-pull chain to prevent the push pull chain from being extended or retracted unless this is provided by the drive system.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said displacement system may comprise at least two of said locking parts, and wherein said locking part displacer may be placed between the at least two locking parts.
- This may e.g. provide an improved locking strength and/or an improved force distribution, and test results have indicated that this may help to make the displacement system with good burglar resistant.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said displacement system may comprises at least two of said chain linking members, and wherein said locking part displacer may be placed between the at least two chain linking members.
- This may e.g. provide a stronger connection between the locking part displacer and the push-pull chain and/or an improved force distribution.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, a chain linking member may be arranged between said locking part displacer and each of said at least two locking parts. Tests have indicated that this may help to provide a system with good burglar resistance.
- Generally it is understood that in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, the chain linking member(s) may e.g. abut the locking part displacer and a locking part, and/or the locking part displacer may abut two chain linking members such as metal plates or rods.
- Generally it is understood that in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, the locking part(s) may abut a chain linking member and or/e.g. have an exposed major surface facing away from the locking part displacer.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, the locking part displacer may be arranged between two locking parts, and wherein the locking part displacer is arranged between two chain linking members, so that a chain linking member is arranged between said locking part displacer and each of the respective locking parts.
- This may provide a space saving, yet strong and reliable connection that may be less exposed to damages when larger pulling forces are applied by the drive system and/or by wind or a person such as burglar trying to pull the push-pull chain to force a building aperture cover connected to the actuator system open.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts and the locking part displacer are connected to said push-pull chain, such as by means of one or more chain linking members, and wherein said displacement of the one or more locking parts between the locking position and unlocking position is provided relative to said push-pull chain and/or said locking part displacer.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said displacement system comprises unlocking position displacement system, such as a spring system, configured to maintain the locking part in the unlocking position if said pulling force does not exceed a pulling force threshold level, and wherein said locking part is configured to be arranged in the locking position by means of said pulling force if said pulling force threshold level is exceeded.
- This may e.g. provide that the system may be used at e.g. windows or doors that, when installed, may not provide a sufficient counter force by e.g. gravity to provide that the locking part is kept in the unlocking position when desired, such as during at least a part of an opening or closing operation provided by the drive system so as to open or close the window or door.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said unlocking position displacement system, such as a spring system, may determine/set the above mentioned force threshold level.
- The force threshold may e.g. in one or more aspects of the present disclosure be set so that the locking part is maintained in the unlocking position when a pulling force is provided by the drive system so as to close the building aperture cover such as a window or door. The force threshold may e.g. first be exceeded when the building aperture cover is in the closed position and a frame part or the like provides a counter force.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, at least a part of said one or more locking parts is/are configured to move out of a housing opening and into the housing opening when said drive system operates said push-pull chain.
This may e.g. help to provide a space saving solution and/or a more mechanically simple solution. - When moving into and out of the housing opening, the one or more locking parts is/are in the unlocking position, and when the one or more locking parts has been moved into the housing by the drive system, it/they may be placed in the locking position due to a pulling force provided by the drive system and/or a pulling force provided at the locking part displacer by e.g. a person pulling in the building aperture cover.
- In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, said one or more locking parts is/are a part of said actuator system and is/are configured to move with said push-pull chain (2) when the push-pull chain is driven by the drive system to be retracted and extended.
- The one or more locking parts may thus, together with e.g. the mentioned one or more chain linking members and the locking part displacer be considered a part of the push pull chain and may be arranged at the end part of the push-pull chain to be connected to the building aperture cover.
- The present disclosure relates, in a further aspect, to a building aperture cover, such as a door or a window, such as a roof window,
wherein a part said building aperture cover is configured to be opened and closed while supported by one or more hinge connections, and
wherein said building aperture cover is connected to a displacement system according to any of the above mentioned aspects, and/or any of claims 1-26 so that said push pull chain is configured to control the position of the building aperture cover when the drive system is activated. - This may e.g. provide a building aperture cover having a good burglar resistance due to the locking solution provided by means of the displacement system according to the present disclosure.
- In one or more aspects of said further aspect, said one or more locking parts of said displacement system is/are configured to be arranged in said locking position, so that that the engagement part is configured to engage with an engagement part connector at least when a pulling force is provided at said building aperture cover to try to force said building aperture cover from a closed position and towards an open position.
- Thus, when the building aperture cover is in a substantially closed position and the push-pull chain is thus retracted by the drive system, a burglar trying to force the window open by pulling in the substantially closed window may not be able to do that, or may at least need a much larger force to open the building aperture cover, as the one or more locking parts thus engages with a fixed engagement member/part, thus keeping the building aperture cover in the closed position.
- In one or more aspects of said further aspect, said displacement system may be arranged in a housing configured to house and cover said drive system and a folded part of the push-pull chain when the push-pull chain is retracted, and wherein said housing is mounted on a building aperture covering frame part, or wherein said housing is an integrated part of a frame of the building aperture cover.
- The present disclosure additionally relates to use of a displacement system according to any of the claims 1-29 and/or according to one or more of the above mentioned aspects for controlling the position of a window or a door, and for providing a locking functionality when the window or door is in a closed position, so as to provide a protection, such as a further protection, against persons forcing said window or door open from the outside of a building where the window or door is installed.

- In relation to the figures described below, where the present disclosure may be described with reference to various embodiments, without limiting the same, it is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely illustrative of the present disclosure that may be embodied in various and alternative forms. The figures are not to scale; some features may be exaggerated or minimized to show details of particular components.
-
Figs. 1a-1b schematically illustrates adisplacement system 1 for opening and closing a building aperture cover (not illustrated infigs. 1a-1b ) such as a window or a door, according to embodiments of the present disclosure. - The displacement system comprises a push-
pull chain 2 comprising a plurality ofchain links 2a. Thepush pull chain 3 is configured so that the chain links 2a interlock so that thechain 2 may only roll or fold-up in one direction. When the push-pull chain 2 is unfolded, the chain links 2a latch together to form a rigid, substantiallylinear chain 2 that may push on the building aperture covering connected to the actuator system by aconnection interface 25 of the actuator system. Accordingly, when thechain 3 is retracted into ahousing 7, thechain 2 folds together in the housing. - When the
chain 2 is pushed/driven out of the housing and unfolds, the chain links 2a interlocks as e.g. described above in order to open the building aperture cover. Thus, when operating the drive system so as to open a building aperture cover, thechain 2 is pushed forward through anopening 7a in thehousing 7, and thechain links 2a thereby interlocks so that the chain can push on the building aperture covering such as a window sash of fixed window frame (not illustrated infig 1 ), e.g. a roof window, dependent on how thedisplacement device 1 is installed. - The displacement system may thus provide a rigid chain actuator system, also known as a linear chain actuator.
- The
displacement system 1 moreover comprises adrive system 5 comprising adrive unit 5a such as an electric motor or the like. The electric motor may be powered by a battery (not illustrated), by mains such as 230V or 110V AC or by both e.g. with a battery as a backup power source. - The
drive unit 5 is configured to drive the push-pull chain 2 through agear arrangement 5b such as a reduction gear arrangement, and the gear arrangement is connected to the chain by means of asprocket wheel 8 of thedrive arrangement 5 which is rotated by the gear arrangement and the drive unit to push thechain 2 out of the housing or retract it into the housing dependent on the rotational direction of thesprocket wheel 8. - A
remote controller 50, such as a wireless remote controller, e.g. a portable device, such as a smartphone or tablet or another electronic portable device having a dedicated software application for controlling the drive system, a dedicated remote control bundled with the drive system and/or configured specifically to control the drive system may transmit control signals to a communication interface (not illustrated) of the drive system, so as to operate the actuator system. The remote controller comprises wireless communication circuitry configured to send control signals such as radio signals, optic signals and/or the like which is received by control circuitry (not illustrated) at or in thehousing 7. Thedrive arrangement 5 is configured to be controlled based on such control signals. - The
system 1 additionally comprises a lockingpart displacer 20 connected to the push-pull chain 2. The lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain 2 are arranged to be displaced M1 relative to each other, e.g. when the lockingpart displacer 20 and/orchain 2 are subjected to a pulling force F1 or pushing force F2. - The pulling force F1 may e.g. be provided by pulling on a building aperture cover connected directly or indirectly to the locking
part displacer 20. This triggers that the lockingpart displacer 20 is displaced away from the push-pull chain 2 end proximate the locking part displacer. For example, if a burglar or the like pulls in the building aperture cover, this will provide the pulling force F1 and thus try to provide the displacement M1 between push pullchain 2 and the lockingpart displacer 20. - The same may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure apply if the locking
part displacer 20 is retained or blocked so that it may not move further into thehousing 7, and thechain 2 provides a pulling force F1 at the lockingpart displacer 20. This may also provide that thechain 2 and lockingpart displacer 20 are displaced M1 away from each other. - The displacement M1 in the present example is in the direction of said pulling force F1 or pushing force F2. It is understood that the pulling force F1 or pushing force F2 in one or more aspects of the present disclosure may be force components of a main pulling force, and acting as the pulling or pushing force to provide the displacement M1 and/or providing, or trying to provide, an opening and closing of the building aperture cover connected to the actuator system.
- One or
more locking parts 10 comprising anengagement part 10a are movably connected to the actuator system. The one or more locking parts (only one is illustrate infigs. 1a-1b ) is/are configured to move between a locking position POS1 and an unlocking position POS2. The one ormore locking parts 10 are connected to the lockingpart displacer 20 so that the lockingpart 10 is displaced between the locking position POS1 and the unlocking position POS2 when the lockingpart displacer 20 is displaced M1 relatively to said push-pull chain 2, whereby anengagement part 10a of the lockingpart 10 is displaced in a direction D1 transverse to the pulling or pushing force F1, F2. - The
engagement part 10a of the one ormore locking parts 10 is configured to engage with anengagement part connector 41 when arranged in the locking position POS1 and said push-pull chain 2 has been retracted to a closing position by means of thedrive system 5. This may e.g. be provided by thedrive system 5 providing a pulling force until a counter force CF is provided. - In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the locking
part 10 may first be arranged in the locking position POS1 when a foreign pulling force F1, such as a force provided by a person such as a burglar or a wind force, acts on the lockingpart displacer 20 and the push-pull chain 2 has been retracted to a closing position. - The one or more
engagement part connectors 41 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be a housing wall, a frame part in or at thehousing 7, a fixed frame part of the building aperture cover arrangement, such as a part of a widow sash or casing/ frame fixed at a building structure, it may be a door frame part, and/or the like. - The engagement part connector(s) 41 may be made from a metal such as a steel part, e.g. a steel plate, and/or it may be made from another material such as a composite material, e.g. one or more glass and/or carbon fibre sheets or rods, it may be made from a polymer material and/or the like.
- The
engagement part 10a may e.g. in one or more aspects of the present disclosure, as e.g. illustrated infigs. 1a-1b and other figures of the present disclosure be a hook member/part for engaging with aprotrusion part 41 providing the one or more engagement part connector(s) 41. Theengagement part connector 41 may thus extend into the recess/concave part defining the hook part when a wind force or a burglar tries to pull in thechain 2 by pulling in the building aperture cover from the outside of the building. - The locking part(s) 10 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure as e.g. illustrated in
figs. 1a-1b and other figures of the present disclosure be a plate member such as one or more metal plates, e.g. steel plates, (but other materials may also be used), and comprising theengagement part 10a. However, the locking part(s) 10 may also be or comprise one or more rods such as metal rods or the like in other embodiments of the present disclosure. - The locking
part displacer 20 may in one or more aspects of the present disclosure as e.g. illustrated infigs. 1a-1b and other figures of the present disclosure also be a plate member such a metal plate, e.g. steel plates, and comprising theengagement part 10a. However, the lockingpart displacer 20 may also be or comprise one or more rods such as metal rods or the like. - In
figs. 1a-1b , the lockingpart 10 comprises anoblong displacing track 22. This displacingtrack 22 connects with a guidedmember 21 such as a first pin member extending into the displacingtrack 22. The guidedmember 21 will, when the relative displacement M1 between the lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain 2 is provided, act against one or more theinner surfaces 22a enclosing thetrack 22. - The guided
member 21 in the figures illustrated infigs. 1a-1b is fixed to the lockingpart displacer 20 so that a relative displacement M1 of the locking part displacer and the chain in the direction of the pushing or pulling force F1, F2 will induce a movement of the guidedmember 21 in substantially the same direction as the pushing or pulling force F1, F2 - Moreover, the locking
part 10 is connected by a hinged connection to the lockingpart displacer 20. This may e.g. as illustrated be provided by asecond pin member 24 extending into an oblong guiding recess orhole 23 in the lockingpart displacer 20, so that the lockingpart 10 can rotate around a rotation axis AX1. - The oblong guiding recess or
hole 23, such as a substantially straight (as illustrated) or alternatively curved recess in the lockingart displacer 20 provides that thesecond pin member 24 can move in the oblong guiding recess orhole 23 in the direction of the pulling and pushing forces F1, F2, and also rotate around the axis AX1. - Thus, the movement of the
second pin 24 in therecess 23 provides/allows that the displacingtrack 22 in the lockingpart 10 guides the lockingpart 10 between the locking and unlocking positions POS1, POS2, so that theengagement part 10a moves in a direction transverse to the pulling or pushing forces F1, F2. - For example, a pulling force F1 provided by the
chain 2 or a force pulling in the lockingpart displacer 20 in a direction away from thechain 2, as illustrated infig. 1a , provides a relative movement between the lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain 2, so that these are moved away from each other. This induces a rotational movement RM of the lockingpart 10a around the axis AX1 during the relative movement M1, so that theengagement part 10a moves to the locking position POS1 by the displacingtrack 22 cooperating with the guidedmember 21. - On the contrary, a pushing force F2 provided e.g. by the
chain 2, as illustrated infig. 1b , will provide a relative movement between the lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain 2, so that these are moved towards each other. This induces a rotational movement RM of the lockingpart 10a around the axis AX1 during the relative movement M1, so that theengagement part 10a moves to the unlocking position POS2 by the displacingtrack 22 cooperating with the guidedmember 21. - As illustrated in
fig. 1b , when thechain 2 is driven by thedrive system 5 to provide the pushingforce 2 to open the building aperture cover connected to the actuator system, the building aperture cover may provide a counter weight providing a counter force CF that is oppositely directed to the pushing force F2. This provides the relative movement M1 to move the lockingpart displacer 20 and the push-pull chain 2 towards each other, which induces that the lockingpart 10 is moved to the unlocking position POS2. - The movement/displacement M1 between the push-
pull chain 2 and the lockingpart displacer 20, (see e.g.fig. 1a-1b ) may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be linear, or may be at least partly rotational. - The
oblong displacing track 22 may have an extent, form and/or angular position at thelocking device 10 that provides the lockingpart 10 to rotate around the first axis AX1 when the guidedmember 21 is displaced during the movement M1. As illustrated, the displacingtrack 22 may have a curved profile to for example accommodate the rotation of the lockingpart 10 around the same axis AX1. The displacing track may thus translate a substantially linear movement (of the guided member 21) into a rotational movement RM. - Generally, in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the pulling force F1 provided by pulling in the locking
part displacer 20 in a direction away from theproximate chain 2 end, and/or by pulling in thechain 2 while the building aperture cover or lockingpart displacer 20 is retained by a counter force, may prevent the lockingpart 10 from moving to the unlocking position until the pulling force is removed or reduced and/or an opposite pushing force F2 is provided. - It is generally understood that when the locking
part 10 is in the unlocking position POS2, the push-pull chain 2 is free to move out or into the housing to open or close the building aperture cover connected to the actuator system. When the actuator system is in the closed position and the lockingpart 10 is in the locking position POS1, theengagement part 10a will prevent opening as it engages with theengagement part connector 41 if trying to force the chain out of the housing by pulling a building aperture cover connected to the actuator system. - As can be seen in e.g.
figs. 1a-1b , the one ormore locking parts 10 and the lockingpart displacer 20 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be connected to the push-pull chain 2, in the present example by means of achain linking member 30, and the displacement of the one ormore locking parts 10 between the locking position POS1 and unlocking position POS2 is provided relative to the push-pull chain 2 and the locking part displacer. Also, a relative displacement M1 is as mentioned previously configured to be provided between the lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain 2, thus providing the displacement of the locking part(s) 10 between the positions POS1 and POS2. - Generally the one or
more locking parts 10 may be considered as a part of the actuator system comprising the push-pull chain 2 and is/are configured to move with the push-pull chain 2 when the push-pull chain 2 is driven by thedrive system 5 to be retracted and extended, see e.g.figs. 1a-1b , one or more offigs. 5a-8b and/or the description thereto. -
Figs. 2a-2b illustrates schematically embodiments of the present disclosure, in an exploded view and in perspective, where the locking part displacer and lockingparts 10 are separated. - As illustrated in
figs. 2a-2c , thesystem 1 may comprise e.g. two lockingparts 10 operating e.g. as described above in relation to various embodiments of the present disclosure, but thesystem 1 may also comprise just one, or more than two lockingparts 10 in further embodiments of the present disclosure. - It is generally understood that in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the locking
parts 10 may be interlinked by a part providing thesecond pin member 24, through the oblong opening in the lockingpart displacer 20, so that the locking part rotates around the same axis AX1 between the locking and unlocking position POS1, POS2. The interlinking connection provided by thepart 24 may be a fixed connection providing that the lockingparts 10 provides a simultaneous rotation when the system is subjected to the pushing or pulling forces. Alternatively, the connection may be a hinged connection so that the locking parts are able to rotate relative to each other around the axis AX1. - In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the
drive system 1 may comprise one or morechain linking members 3. - As illustrated in e.g.
fig. 1a-1b the one or more locking parts, such as metal plates, may be configured to move out of ahousing 7 opening and into ahousing 7 opening when thedrive system 5 operates the push-pull chain 2. When moving into and out of the housing opening, the one or more locking parts is/are in the unlocking position (fig. 1b ) and when the one or more locking parts has been moved into thehousing 7 by thedrive system 5, it is be placed in the locking position POS1 due to a pulling force provided by thedrive system 5 and/or a pulling force provided at the lockingpart displacer 20 by e.g. a person or wind pulling a the building aperture cover connected to the displacement system through the lockingpart displacer 20. - As can be seen in
fig. 1a-1b , and also in other of the figures described below, the one ormore locking parts 10 may be a part of the actuator system and is/are configured to move with the push-pull chain when the push-pull chain is driven by the drive system to be retracted or extended. - The one or more locking parts may thus, together with e.g. the one or more chain linking members 30 (see e.g.
fig. 2a-2b and other figures) and the lockingpart displacer 20 be considered a part of the push pullchain 20 and may be arranged at the end part of the push-pull chain 2 to be connected directly or indirectly to a building aperture cover such as a window or a door. - Generally, In one or more aspects of the present disclosure, the locking part(s) 10 may be placed at/near the end of the end of the
chain 2 to be connected to the building aperture cover, and is/are thus arranged to move out of ahousing opening 7b and into the housing opening of thehousing 7 while in the unlocking position POS2, when the push-pull chain is actuated by the drive system, and when it has been moved into thehousing 7, it may move to the locking position due to a pulling force. -
Figs. 2a-2c illustrates furthermore embodiments of the present disclosure where thesystem 1 compriseschain linking members 30, in the present example twochain linking members 30. - In
fig. 2a , lockingparts 10a, lockingpart displacer 20 andchain linking members 30 are fully exploded, Infig. 2b theparts fig. 2c theparts - The
chain linking member 30 comprises achain connection interface 31 to be connected to the push-pull chain 2 (not illustrated infigs. 2a-2c ). - In the present example, the
chain linking member 30 comprises a plate, such as a metal plate, with a through hole as thechain connection interface 31 for connecting with achain linking part 32 such as a part of a bearing/hinge solution, e.g. a chain bearing pin, a part of a bush, or the like. This connection allows a relative rotation between thechain linking member 30 and afurther chain link 2a, see e.g.fig. 1a or 1b around an axis AX2 defined by the bearing solution, such as by the chain bearing pin or bush. - The
chain linking member 30 may generally, in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, comprise an interlockingpart 33 arranged to interact with a part of the neighbouringchain link 2a (not illustrated infigs. 2a-2c ) so that the neighbouring chain link and thechain linking member 30 interlocks/engages when a pushing force is provided. This provides that thechain 2 can push onto the chain linking member(s) 30, so that the locking device(s) 10 is/are moved to the unlocking position. One or more of thechain linking members 30 may thus act as a part of the push-pull 2 chain and provide a connection interface to the lockingpart displacer 20. - The
chain linking member 30 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure comprises anoblong opening 26 through which the guidedmember 21 can extend to interact with the displacingtrack 22 in thelocking device 10. - In the present example, the oblong opening/
hole 23 in the lockingpart displacer 20 interacting with thesecond pin member 24, and the oblong opening/hole 26 in thechain linking member 30 interacting with the guidedmember 21 may provide that the chain linking member(s) 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 may move/be displaced M2 relatively to each other in the direction of the pulling forces or pushing forces F1, F2, seefig. 1a-1b . However thisarrangement chain linking member 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 are prevented from rotating relative to each other around theparts part displacer 20 are moved relative to each other. - The chain linking member(s) 30 may thus be allowed to rotate relative to the chain link to which it is connected around a second rotation axis AX2, until it interlocks with the chain link, while the chain linking member(s) 30 and the locking
part displacer 20 prevents that these can rotate relative to each other, or may limit such a rotation (not illustrated) to only be allowed within a predefined rotation range. The chain linking member(s) 30 may thus be considered a steering or control plate/member for controlling that the movement between the lockingpart displacer 20 and the locking part(s) is provided in the desired direction when a pulling or pushing force is provided. - The movement M1 between the chain linking member(s) 30 and the locking
part displacer 20 in the plane PI may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be substantially linear (as it will be in the examples illustrated infigs. 2a-2c ), or may be at least partly rotational. - The movement/displacement M1 between the chain linking member(s) 30 and the locking
part displacer 20 in the direction of the pulling or pushing force, guided by theoblong openings - The movement/displacement M1 may also be to be substantially parallel to a plane PI extending perpendicular P to the first rotation axis AX1 around which the one or more locking parts (10) is/are configured to rotate.
- The movement/displacement M1 may also be to be configured to be substantially parallel to a plane PI extending perpendicular P to second rotation axes AX2 around which chain links 2a of the push-
pull chain 2 are configured to rotate. The chain linking member(s) 30 may also in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be configured to rotate around such a second axis AX2 to allow a relative rotational movement between a chain link (not illustrated infig. 2a-2c ) and the chain linking member(s) 30. - The first and second rotation axes AX1, AX2 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be substantially parallel. In
fig. 2c , the plane PI extend in the X-Y direction and the rotation axes AX1, AX2 extend in the Z direction. - The chain links 2a of the push-pull chain 2 (see
fig. 1a-1b ) may rotate around rotation axes (not illustrated) that are substantially parallel to each other and parallel to the rotation AX2 and/or AX1. The folding of thechain links 2a may thus be provided in a plane that is parallel to the plane P1 or provided in the plane P1. - The
second pin member 24 extend through ahole 34 in the chain linking member(s) 30 and connects at ahole 20 in the locking part(s) 10, thereby providing a rotation axis AX1 around which the locking part(s) 10 can rotate when the pushing or pulling forces are applied. - The
second pin member 24 may in one or more embodiments comprise a bushing part connecting to the locking part displacer and thechain linking member 30, and through which a rotatable pin extend which can rotate in the bushing. - The
second pin member 24 extend through theoblong opening 23 in the lockingpart displacer 20, and thus, the relative displacement M1 between thechain 2 and locking part displacer will not provide a displacement of thesecond pin member 24, as the position of thehole 34 in thechain linking member 30 determines the rotation axis AX1 position. Thus the locking part(s) 10 is/are kept fixed but rotational relative to thechain linking member 30 around the axis AX1 when the relative displacement M1 is provided between thechain 2/chain linking member 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20. - However, displacing the push-
pull chain 2 and thus the chain linking member(s) 30 will displace the rotation axis AX1. - As can be seen in for example
figs. 2a-2c , the lockingpart displacer 20 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be arranged between two lockingparts 10. Additionally, the lockingpart displacer 20 may be arranged between twochain linking members 30, so that and achain linking member 30 is arranged between said lockingpart displacer 20 and each of therespective locking parts 10. - As can be seen in for example
figs. 2a-2c , the chain linking member(s) 30 may for example in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure abut the lockingpart displacer 20 and a lockingpart 10. Moreover, the lockingpart displacer 20 may abut twochain linking members 30 such as metal plates or rods. -
Figs. 3-4 illustrates schematically further embodiments of the present disclosure, in an exploded view and in perspective, where the lockingpart displacer 20, lockingparts 10 andchain linking member 30 are separated. Only one lockingpart 10 andchain linking member 30 is illustrated, but it is understood that e.g. two chain linking members and/or locking parts may be present in further embodiments. - In
fig. 3 , theoblong displacing track 22 is arranged in thechain linking member 30 instead of in the lockingpart 10a. The guidedmember 21 such as a first pin member extending into the displacingtrack 22 is arranged at the lockingpart 10. The lockingpart 10 rotates around the axis AX1 when the lockingpart displacer 20 is displaced M1 relative to the chain (not illustrated infig. 3 ) by the pushing or pulling force. - The
second pin member 24 extend through anoblong opening 23 in thechain linking member 30, and this opening allow that the relative displacement M1 provides a displacement of thesecond pin member 24. The displacingtrack 22 provides a rotational movement of the lockingpart 10 around the axis AX1 defined by the second pin member during the relative movement between thechain 2/chain linking member 30, and the locking part displacer. - Also, the
oblong opening 23 in thechain linking member 30 provides, together with a further pin/protrusion 35 at thechain linking member 30 extending into anoblong opening 27 in the lockingpart displacer 20, an interconnection that allows the chain linking member(s) 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 to be displaced M1 relatively to each other in the direction of the pulling forces or pushing forces F1, F2, seefig. 1a-1b . However thisconnection arrangement chain linking member 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 are prevented from rotating relative to each other around theparts - It is generally understood that the
openings chain linking member 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 by the oblong openings guiding a pin/protrusion. -
Fig. 4 is substantially similar tofig. 3 , however with the adaption that the displacingtrack 22 is arranged in the lockingpart 10 instead of in thechain linking member 30, and the pin/protrusion 21 extending into the displacingtrack 22 is placed at thechain linking member 30. -
Figs. 5a-5b illustrates schematically further embodiments of the present disclosure, where theengagement part 10a of the locking part (10) is displaced in a direction transverse to the subjected pulling or pushing force F1, F2. - The locking
part 10 comprises two displacingtracks 22 arranged with a mutual angle a1 between the extending direction D1, D2 of the displacing tracks. The angle a1 may in one or more embodiments be between 30° and 140°, such as between 60° and 100°. Two pins/protrusions 21 extends into thetracks 22. One of the pins/protrusions 21a extend from the lockingpart displacer 22, and the other 21b extend from thechain linking member 30, so that these pins 21a, 21b can be displaced relative to each other. - When the relative displacement M1 is provided due to the pulling or pushing force F1, F2, this provides that these pins/protrusions are moved towards or away from each other. This provides that the locking
part 10 and thus theengagement part 10a is displaced transverse between the locking position POS1 and unlocking position POS2 respectively, as the angle between thetracks 22 translate the displacement M1 to a movement of theengagement part 10a transverse to the movement M1. - In
fig. 5a , the displacement M1 betweenchain 2/chain linking part 30 and the locking part displacer is provided by a pulling force F1, and this causes the pins/protrusions 21a, 21b to move away from each other, thus inducing that the lockingpart 10 and thusengagement part 10a is moved to the locking position POS1. - In
fig. 5b , the displacement M1 betweenchain 2/chain linking part 30 and the locking part displacer is provided by a pushing force F1, and this causes the pins/protrusions 21a, 21b to move towards each other, thus inducing that the lockingpart 10 and thusengagement part 10a is moved to the unlocking position POS2. - Dependent of the extending direction D1, D2 of the displacing tracks, and the angle a1, the movement of the
engagement part 10a between the locking position POS1 and unlocking position POS2 may be partly in the direction of the displacement M1 and partly transverse thereto, for example mainly transverse to the movement M1. - As illustrated in
fig. 5a-5b , thechain linking member 30 may as previously explained in relation to other figures comprise a anoblong opening 26 through which the guided member 21a can extend to interact with the displacingtrack 22 in thelocking device 10. Thechain linking member 30 and/or the lockingpart displacer 20 may in one or more embodiments (not illustrated infigs. 5a-5b ) comprise a further arrangement of rails, oblong openings and pins and/or the like to either prevent a relative rotation between the lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain linking member 30, or at least to provide a guided, predefined rotation (not illustrated) between the lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain linking member 30. -
Figs. 6a-6b illustrates embodiments of the present disclosure, where theengagement part 10a of the lockingpart 10 is displaced in a direction transverse to the subjected pulling or pushing force F1, F2, controlled byhinge parts - The
hinge parts locking device 10 at spaced apart, hingedconnections locking device 10. Moreover, one of thesehinge parts 60a is rotatably connected to the lockingpart displacer 20 by a hingedconnection 63, and theother hinge part 60b is rotatably connected to thechain linking member 30 by a hingedconnection 64. Thus, when relative displacement between the lockingpart displacer 20 andchain 2/chain linking member 30 is provided when the pulling and pushing force F1, F2 is provided, this provides that thehinge parts 60a, 06b rotates and hereby displaces thelocking device 10, and hence theengagement part 10a between the locking position (seefig. 6a ) and unlocking position (seefig 6b ). - In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, one or more displaceable connections 61between the locking
part displacer 20 and thechain linking member 30, such as a rail connection, a connection where an oblong opening guides a guided pin as e.g. described above in relation tofigs. 1-5b , and/or the like may be used for controlling the displacement between the lockingpart displacer 20 andchain linking member 30. - In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, one or
more guiding connections 65 between thechain linking part 30 and lockingdevice 10 may be provided in order to guide the movement of thelocking device 10 between the locking position POS1 and unlocking position POS2. This/theseconnections 65 may comprise a connection where an oblong opening guides a guided pin/protrusion as e.g. illustrated, it may comprise guiding rail or rails and/or the like. -
Fig. 7 illustrates schematically various embodiments of the present disclosure, where ahousing 7 encloses thedrive arrangement 5 and a part of the push-pull chain 2 of thedisplacement system 1. - The push-
pull chain 2 has been retracted through anopening 7b in thehousing 7 wall to a closing position so that, if a building aperture cover, such as a window, was connected to the actuator system, the window would be closed. As can be seen, when the push-pull chain 2 has been retracted to the closing position, the lockingpart displacer 20 engages with a locking partdisplacer engagement part 42. The pulling force provided by thedrive system 5 during retraction of thechain 2 into thehousing 7 provides that the locking partdisplacer engagement part 42 get in contact with the lockingpart displacer 20 and provides a counter force CF to the pulling force F1. This provides that the lockingpart displacer 20 is displaced away from thechain 20, and thus forces theengagement part 10a of the lockingpart 10 to the locking position to engage with theengagement part connector 41, at least if wind, a burglar or the like pulls in the chain to try to force thechain 2 out of the housing. Accordingly when thechain 2 is retracted to the closing position by thedrive system 5, the lockingpart 10 automatically enters the locking position POS1 due to the pulling force F1 from thechain 2 and the counter force CF acting on the lockingpart displacer 20. - The locking part
displacer engagement part 42 may e.g. be a plate or rod, such as one or more metal, e.g. steel, plates or rods fixed to or being a part of a frame or wall of thehousing 7 and/or fixed to a building aperture cover frame (not illustrated infig. 6 ). -
Fig. 7 moreover illustrates a controller CT for receiving command signals from aremote controller 50, in or at thehousing 7, and which controls thedrive system 5 based thereon. The power source PS in form of a battery pack may also be placed in thehousing 7. - When the chain has been retracted into the
housing 7, thechain 2 may be guided to achain storage 7a, where a folded part of the push-pull chain 2 is stored until the building aperture cover is to be opened. - It is understood that in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the
gear arrangement 5b may be of the self-locking type, so that when thedrive unit 5a does not either retract or extend/pushes on thechain 2, the chain is locked from movement by pulling and pushing forces by means of the self-lockinggear 5b. Thegear arrangement 5b may thus provide a further locking system beyond the solution with the lockingpart 10. - It is moreover understood that in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the
drive unit 5a such as a motor may comprise a further locking system so that thedrive unit 5a cannot be forced to rotate to move thechain 2 by pulling and/or pushing thechain 2 unless the drive unit is powered with electric power from the power source PS. - In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the
system 1 may include a further locking solution in the form of achain locking solution 69 engaging with thechain 2 in thehousing 7. This further lockingsolution 69 may be configured to automatically interlock with the push-pull chain 2 to prevent the push pull chain from being extended or retracted unless this is provided by the drive system. Thechain locking solution 69 may e.g. comprise one or more movable members interacting with the chain links 2a of thechain 2 so as to lock the chain relative to thehousing 7 when thedrive system 5 is not activated to provide a pushing and/or pulling force. - The further locking solution may either be activated mechanically and automatically, e.g. by means of a spring mechanism or the like when the
chain 2 is in the desired position, such as closed position, and/or it may be activated electronically by a signal transmitted from e.g. the controller CT. - In one or more embodiments of the present disclosure, the locking
part 10 may help to protect the above mentioned further locking system or systems from wear and/or from being damaged, at least for a time. Theengagement part 10a of thelocking device 10 may thus interact with theengagement part connector 41 before or while the further locking system is subjected to a pulling force such as a burglar, wind forces or the like pulling in thechain 2 in the closed position so as to try to pull thechain 2 out of thehousing 7. -
Figs. 8a-8b illustrates schematically embodiments of the present disclosure, where the contact between afixed part 71, such as a fixed window or doorframe of abuilding aperture cover 70, and amovable part 72, such as a door or window sash, provides a counter force CF when thebuilding aperture cover 70 is closed. - In
fig. 8a , thebuilding aperture cover 70 is in an open position, as the push-pull chain 2 has been extended and provides a pushing force. Thepart 72 of thebuilding aperture cover 70 to be opened provides a counter force CF e.g. due to gravity, due to a spring mechanism (not illustrated) and/or the like, which arranges thelocking device 10 in the unlocking position POS2. - In
fig. 8b , the chain has been retracted intohousing 7 to close thebuilding aperture cover 70. As thepart 72 of thebuilding aperture cover 70 to be closed get in contact with the fixedpart 71, such as a frame, this contact provides a counter force CF opposite to the pulling force F1 provided by thechain 2 and drivearrangement 5. This displaces the lockingpart displacer 20, so that the lockingpart 10 moves to the locking position POS1. The building aperture cover may thus provide a locking part displacement, and adisplacer engagement part 42 in or at the housing 7 (see e.g.fig. 7 ) may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be omitted. - As can be seen, the locking
part displacer 20 may be connected to one of theparts other part building aperture cover 70. For example, thehousing 7 may be attached to a fixed frame of thebuilding aperture cover 70, and the actuator system may be attached, such as by means of the lockingpart displacer 20, to the part to be opened, such as a window sash or door, or vice versa. -
Fig. 9 illustrates schematically an embodiment of the present disclosure, wherein an unlockingposition displacement system 80 is configured to automatically arrange the lockingpart 10 in the unlocked position POS2. - The unlocking
position displacement system 80 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure be aspring system 80 configured to automatically arrange the lockingpart displacer 20 in the position providing that the lockingpart 10 is moved to the unlocked position POS2. Thisspring system 80 may e.g. be arranged between thechain linking part 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 and/or between the lockingpart displacer 20 and the lockingpart 10. - The
spring system 80 may e.g. be arranged between thechain linking part 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20, so that the lockingpart displacer 20 is forced to be displaced to move the lockingpart 10 to the unlocking position POS2 by a pushing force F2 provided by thespring system 80. - The
spring system 80 may in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure comprise a tension spring, a compression spring, a coil spring, a compression spring, a flat/plate spring and/or the like. - Accordingly, unless a pulling force F1 (see e.g. previous figures) above a certain force threshold FTH level determined by a spring constant of the
spring system 80 is subjected by adrive system 5 or outer forces provided by a burglar, wind forces pulling in the chain, and/or the like, thespring system 80 will keep the lockingdevice 10 in the unlocked position POS2. - If the pulling force F1 provided exceeds the force threshold FTH, the locking
part displacer 20 is moved relative to thechain 2, such as away from the chain 2 (see e.g. previous description) and thus provides that the lockingpart 10 is moved to the locking position POS1. This is illustrated schematically infig. 10. Fig 10 shows an upper graph indicating pulling force F1 over time and the force threshold FTH provided by thespring system 80, and the lower graph illustrates the locking part position in accordance with the upper graph. As illustrated, as long as the pulling force F1 is below the force threshold FTH in the time span tO-tl (see upper graph offig. 10 ), the lockingpart 10 is kept in the unlocking position POS2, (see lower graph offig. 10 ). When the pulling force F1 exceeds the force threshold FTH in the time span t1-t2, the lockingpart 10 is moved to the locking position POS1. When the pulling force F1 gets below the threshold FTH again at t2, the lockingpart 10 is moved back to the unlocking position POS2 by the unlockingposition displacement system 80. - It is understood that in further embodiments of the present disclosure, a force sensor such as a stain gauge system or the like (not illustrated) may detect the pulling force F1 provided in the chain. Based thereon an electronically actuated unlocking position displacement system (not illustrated) may be configured to displace the locking
part 10 between the locking position POS1 and unlocking position POS2 dependent on the registered force value or a derivative parameter thereof, e.g. as illustrated infig. 10 . -
Figs. 11a-11c illustrates schematically further, various embodiments of the present disclosure, relating to the interaction between the lockingpart 10, lockingpart displacer 20 and thechain linking member 30. - As illustrated in these figures, the displaceable connection(s) allowing a relative displacement between the one or more chain linking member(s) 30 and said one or more
locking part displacers 20 may be provided by a displaceable rail connection. Infig. 1 , thechain linking member 30 may compriserail members 92 at least partly enclosing end or side edges 93 of the locking part displacer in order to guide the displacement between these when a pushing or pulling force is provided, e.g. to assure a substantially linear or alternatively controlled, curved movement between the chain linking member(s) 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20. Thepin 21 extends infig. 1 1a through theopening 26 in the locking part displacer and is guided in the guidingtrack 22. See e.g. also e.g.figs. 1a-2c . -
Fig. 11b illustrates an embodiment of the present disclosure, where the lockingpart displacer 20 comprises a recessed trail/slit 96 into which connection rails orprotrusions 95 extend. This connection allows a relative, e.g. linear or guided, curved movement between the chain linking member(s) 30 and the lockingpart displacer 20 when a pushing or pulling force is provided. -
Fig. 11c illustrates an embodiment of the present disclosure, where two locking parts and two chain linking members are provided, see e.g. alsofigs. 2a-2c . The lockingpart displacer 20 is arranged between thechain linking members 30, and thechain linking members 30 are arranged between the lockingpart displacer 20 andindividual locking parts 10. The lockingpart displacer 20 andchain linking members 30 are displaceable connected by a rail arrangement to provide the guided movement/displacement between the lockingpart displacer 20 and the chain linking members when the pushing or pulling force is provided. -

Fig. 12 illustrates an embodiment of the present disclosure, where thedisplacement system 1 is mounted to open and close a top-hinged building aperture cover in the form of a top-hingedroof window 70. Thesystem 1 comprises the locking system comprising the lockingpart displacer 20 and lockingpart 10 as e.g. previously described (not illustrated infig. 12 ) according to various embodiments of the present disclosure. The top hinged window provides a pushing force F2 due to gravity so as to move the locking part to the unlocking position POS2, se previous figures. - In
fig. 13 , the roof window is a centre-pivot roof window 70 controlled by thedisplacement system 1. Here, the window may, due to that it is a centre-pivot window, not provide enough force itself to assure that the lockingpart 10 is arranged in the unlocking position during closing of the window, and thus, e.g. a unlockingposition displacement system 80 as previously explained may be relevant to install. - It is understood that in further embodiments of the present disclosure, which re not illustrated, the
window 70 controlled by thedisplacement system 1 may be a vertically mounted window or door placed in an outer, vertical wall of a building, and where the widow's 70 pane will be arranged substantially vertical when closed. - It is generally to be understood that in one or more embodiments of the present disclosure as explained above in relation to one or more figures of the present disclosure, the
drive system 1 may be paced in ahousing 7 that is to be mounted on a building aperturecover frame part housing 7 may be an integrated part of a frame arrangement of thebuilding aperture cover 70. - One or
more hinge connections 77 provides that the building aperturecover frame parts building aperture cover 70. - While the present disclosure has been described in detail in connection with only a limited number of embodiments or aspects, it should be readily understood that the present disclosure is not limited to such disclosed embodiments or aspects. Rather, the present disclosure may be modified to incorporate any number of variations, alterations, substitutions or equivalent arrangements not heretofore described, but which are commensurate in scope with the present disclosure.
