- the covering element 7 advances and rotates partially due to the hinge 11 while the groove or guide slides with respect to the pin or vice versa allowing the variable surface portion of the covering element 7 to cover - at the top part - the swinging structure 2 during the entire cutting cycle.
- the operator may start the cutting cycle by manually displacing the swinging structure 2 from the receded position to the pre-cutting position represented in figure 3 by simultaneously actuating the lever 17 so as to rotate the pawl 14 to the second position.
- the operator In order to allow the further advancement of the swinging structure 2 to the cutting advanced position visible in figure 4 , the operator must release the lever 17 so that the pawl 14 is returned to the first position by the spring 20 allowing such further advancement.

Claims (13)
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung, umfassend eine Auflage (1), eine Drehsägescheibe (3), eine schwingende Wiegenstruktur (2) zum Abstützen eines zu schneidenden Baumstammes (T), auf welcher der Baumstamm (T) rechtwinklig zu der Sägescheibe (3) verschiebbar ist von einer zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe zu einer vorgerückten Stellung des Schneidens, in welcher der Baumstamm (T) zunehmend gegen die Sägescheibe (3) bewegt wird, um geschnitten zu werden,
ein Abdeckelement (7), das oberhalb der Drehsägescheibe (3) angeordnet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Abdeckelement (7) umfasst:eine proximale Seite (6), die an einen Abschnitt (5) der schwingenden Struktur (2) gegenüber der Sägescheibe (3) angelenkt ist, undeinen distalen Abschnitt (13), der gleitend an der Auflage (1) festgehalten ist mittels eines Systems, in dem ein Stift (10, 24) relativ zu einer Nut (9) oder Führung (23) gleiten kann. - Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der distale Abschnitt (13) des Abdeckelementes (7) die Nut (9) aufweist, die relativ zu einem Stifte (10), der von der Auflage (1) vorspringt, gleiten kann.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der distale Abschnitt (13) des Abdeckelementes (7) einen Stift (24) aufweist, der entlang der Führung (23) der Auflage (1) bewegbar ist.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Führung (23) mindestens zwei Abschnitte aufweist, die zueinander geneigt sind.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie ferner eine Sicherheitsvorrichtung (14, 17, 18, 25) umfasst, die dazu geeignet ist, eine unbeabsichtigte Bewegung der schwingenden Struktur (2) von der zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe zu der vorgerückten Stellung des Schneidens zu verhindern.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Sicherheitsvorrichtung ein Anstoßteil (14) umfasst, das durch das Abdeckelement (7) getragen wird und bewegbar ist zwischen einer Anschlagstellung, in der es den Stift (10) in der zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe der schwingenden Struktur (2) auffängt, um eine Bewegung davon zu verhindern, und einer Stellung der Ruhe, in der es die Bewegung nicht verhindert.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Sicherheitsvorrichtung einen Anschlag (25) umfasst, angeordnet an dem proximalen Ende der Führung (23) und dazu gestaltet, den Stift (24) in der zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe der schwingenden Struktur (2) aufzufangen, wobei der Stift (24) durch Anwenden einer Hubkraft des Abdeckelementes (7) von dem Anschlag (25) lösbar ist.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Sicherheitsvorrichtung ein manuell betätigtes Steuerelement (17) aufweist, um eine Bewegung der schwingenden Struktur (2) von der zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe zu der vorgerückten Stellung des Schneidens zuzulassen.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Abdeckelement (7) im Wesentlichen ebenförmig ist und einen geneigten Abschnitt (12) aufweist.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 6, 8 oder 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Anstoßteil (14) bewegbar ist zwischen einer ersten Stellung, in der es den Stift (10) in der zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe der schwingenden Struktur (2) auffängt und dabei die Bewegung davon verhindert, und einer zweiten Stellung, in der es ein teilweises Vorrücken der schwingenden Struktur (2) in eine Vorschneidstellung zulässt, wobei das vollständige Vorrücken der schwingenden Struktur (2) von der Vorschneidstellung in die Schneidstellung zugelassen wird, wenn das Anstoßteil (14) wieder in die erste Stellung bewegt wird.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 6 oder 8-10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Bewegung des Anstoßteiles (14) ausgeführt wird durch ein Kabel oder eine hydraulische Vorrichtung, das/die mit einem manuell betätigten Hebel (17) versehen ist, der durch den Abschnitt (5) der schwingenden Struktur (2) gegenüber der Sägescheibe (3) getragen ist.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 6 oder 8-11, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Anstoßteil eine schwingende Klinke (14) ist, die in einem im Wesentlichen mittleren Abschnitt an das Abdeckelement (7) angelenkt ist, umfassend ein Ende (15), das dazu geeignet ist, den Stift (10) in der zurückgezogenen Stellung der schwingenden Struktur (2) aufzufangen, und einen vorspringenden Abschnitt (16), der dazu geeignet ist, den Stift (10) in der Vorschneidstellung der schwingenden Struktur (2) aufzufangen.
- Baumstammsägevorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 6 oder 8-12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Anstoßteil (14) versehen ist mit elastischen Mitteln (20) für die Rückkehr aus der zweiten Stellung oder zurückgezogenen Stellung der Ruhe in die erste Stellung oder Anschlagstellung nach dem Lösen des Hebels (17).
