Definitions

  • the invention relates to oral and dental care and cleaning compositions which contain a combination of bamboo cellulose and precipitated silica as a polishing agent and have excellent cleaning performance with low abrasion and a good mouthfeel.
  • Dentifrices are available in various forms on the market and are primarily used to clean the tooth surface and to prevent tooth and gum disease. They usually contain a combination of polishes, humectants, surfactants, binders, aroma substances and fluoride-containing and antimicrobial agents. In addition to toothpowder, which play a minor role because of their increased abrasiveness, dentifrices are mainly offered in paste, cream and translucent or transparent gel form. Liquid or liquid toothpastes and mouthwashes have also become increasingly important in recent years.
  • Stains on the tooth surface can be caused by consumption of color-intensive drinks and food (for example tea or red wine) or tobacco consumption, as well as by an increased mineralization of plaque, tartar.
  • a reduced abrasion of the enamel in the teeth cleaning is desired.
  • a reduced abrasion by reducing the abrasive constituents or polishing agent reduces the abrasion, it is usually accompanied by a reduced cleaning performance.
  • the cleaning performance could be increased again by adding peroxides or condensed phosphates (pyrophosphates, polyphosphates).
  • the maximum concentration of peroxides according to the Cosmetics Directive is 1000 ppm, so that no visible effects can be achieved.
  • the use of condensed phosphates further increases the pH and may result in some of the users gum detachments by denaturing the proteins therein. In addition, the abrasion is increased again.
  • Another disadvantage of many current whitening toothpastes or creams is an unpleasant floury mouthfeel so that the toothbrushing process is often prematurely terminated so that the fluoride contained in the dentifrice can not fully exert its preventative and remineralizing effect.
  • a mouth and dental care and cleaning agent containing a combination of bamboo cellulosic particles and precipitated silica in selected proportions.
  • the present invention thus relates to an oral and dental care and cleaning agent, which in each case based on the total weight of the composition contains:
