Description
The invention relates to a lid for a container, in particular for a beverage can, comprising: a lid surface with a break-open area which is at least partially surrounded by a predetermined breaking line, and with a fastening element which is arranged on the lid surface; and a lever tab rotatably fastened to the fastening element for breaking open the break-open area along the predetermined breaking line in the direction of an underside of the cover surface and, associated therewith, providing a removal opening in the cover surface.
Lids of the type mentioned at the beginning are known from the prior art, which are used, for example, for beverage cans. Before it is opened for the first time, the can is completely closed by the lid made of sheet metal (aluminum). To open it, the user lifts the lever strap on one side, whereby the opposite side of the lever strap presses on the break-open area which, due to the predetermined breaking line (usually provided as an indentation in the lid material), breaks along this and is pressed into the inside of the can. As a result, a removal opening (pouring opening, drinking opening) is provided. The disadvantage here is that the removal opening cannot be closed again after the can is opened for the first time.
The object of the invention is to overcome the disadvantage mentioned.
This object is achieved by a lid for a container according to claim 1.
The lid according to the invention for a container, in particular for a can, comprises: a lid surface with a break-open area which is at least partially surrounded by a predetermined breaking line, and with a fastening element which is arranged on the lid surface; a lever tab rotatably fastened to the fastening element for breaking open the break-open area along the predetermined breaking line in the direction of an underside of the cover surface and, associated therewith, providing a removal opening in the cover surface; wherein the lever tab comprises a closure element for sealingly closing the removal opening; wherein the closure element has a first area which can be placed against an upper side of the cover surface and the removal opening, partially sealingly; and wherein the closure element has a second region which can be placed on an underside of the cover surface and partially sealingly enclosing the removal opening.
According to the invention, after the container is opened for the first time, the lever tab is rotated around the fastening element and the second area of the closure element is guided into the removal opening, so that it partially covers the removal opening from the underside of the lid surface and partially encloses the removal opening and the first area of the closure element is on the lid surface lying on top of the removal opening is arranged so as to be partially sealingly enclosing, as a result of which the removal opening is closed (or reclosed). Reopening can be done by turning the lever tab in the opposite direction, which pulls the second area out again.
The cover according to the invention can be developed in such a way that a break-open element for breaking open the break-open area is arranged on a first end area of the lever strap and the closure element is arranged on a second end area of the lever strap. The first end region and the second end region can be provided opposite one another with respect to the fastening element. Thus, the break-open element and the sealing closure element are spaced from one another and any deformation of the break-open element when the container is opened for the first time does not affect the closure element and its sealing effect.
The lever bracket can comprise a sheet metal material, in particular a sheet metal material containing aluminum, and a plastic material. The sheet metal material can, for example serve for attachment to the fastener. The break-open element can be formed from the sheet metal material in order to ensure good strength for the break-open process. Alternatively, the break-open element can be formed from the plastic material, preferably with a pressure area protruding towards the underside with which the break-open area is locally contacted during the opening process in order to exert pressure thereon. The closure element can be made from the plastic material. In the manufacturing process, a sheet metal tab can be at least partially enclosed by the plastic material by means of injection molding.
Another development is that the second area of the closure element is also provided for locking the closure element when the removal opening is closed by the closure element. The introduction of the second area on the underside of the lid surface prevents unintentional opening of the closure element, for example due to internal pressure in the container.
According to another development, the lever bracket can comprise a fastening tongue for fastening the lever bracket to the fastening element. In connection with the sheet metal material of the lever bracket, the fastening tongue can be formed from the sheet metal material.
Another development is that the removal opening can be closed or opened again by rotating the lever strap around the fastening element. In this way, by rotating around the fastening element, the closure element for covering the removal opening can be positioned, the second area being guided into the removal opening in order to lie partially around the removal opening from the underside of the cover surface, and the first area on the upper side of the Lid mirror partially rests around the removal opening, so that the first and the second area together completely close the removal opening.
According to another development, when the lever tab is rotated to close the removal opening, the second area of the closure element can be guided through the removal opening to the underside of the cover surface.
The closure element can have a stop which, when the removal opening is closed, interacts with an edge region of the cover surface at the removal opening and thereby limits the rotation of the lever tab during closure.
Another development is that the closure element has a handle section which can be lifted by a user in order to effect pressure equalization between an interior of a container and an exterior before the closed removal opening is opened again. This makes it possible to achieve a pressure reduction in the interior of the container after the container has been opened for the first time and then closed or re-closed with the closure element and before the withdrawal opening is reopened, in order to, for example, rapidly foam or squirt out a carbonated one Avoid drink.
According to another development, the closure element can have a lowered area in order to provide an engagement by a user. This allows the lever tab to be gripped and rotated in a simple manner.
Another development is that the material of the first and second area of the closure element is sufficiently flexible to close the removal opening in a sealing manner, this plastic material being sufficiently flexible in connection with a plastic material of the closure element. The removal opening can thus be tightly closed without the need for additional sealing material.
According to another development, a first and a second transition point from the top can be created through the first area of the closure element, which rests against the top of the cover surface when the removal opening is closed, and the second area of the closure element, which rests on the underside of the cover surface when the removal opening is closed to be defined to the bottom; wherein the first and second transition points define a line across the dispensing opening, and wherein preferably an area of the second area is larger than an area of the first area. The line divides the closure element into a first and a second section. In this way, when internal pressure occurs, for example in the case of a carbonated drink, it is ensured that the pressure on the second section of the closure element with the second area is greater than the pressure on a first section of the closure element with the first area, so that the closure element is prevented from being pressed open by partial rotation around the line as the axis of rotation.
Another development is that the first area comprises a locking element for locking the closure element when the removal opening is closed by the closure element, in particular wherein the locking element is provided to be displaceable or rotatable and the locking element is an actuating part for actuation by a user and a locking part coupled to the actuating part for locking the closure element by mechanical interaction of the locking part with the underside of the cover surface. The locking element can be formed by an injection molding process (assembly injection molding) in a form-fitting manner with the closure element (and yet movable in the closure element, in particular rotatable therein).
The locking element can be slidable or rotatable, and the locking element can comprise an actuating part for actuation by a user and a locking part coupled to the actuating part for locking the closure element by mechanical interaction of the locking part with the underside of the cover surface.
The locking element can be rotatable about an axis running at least partially parallel to the cover surface, whereby the locking part can be folded into mechanical contact with the underside of the cover surface or the mechanical contact can be folded away to release; or the locking element can be rotatable about an axis running at least partially perpendicular to the cover surface, whereby the locking part can be rotated in mechanical contact with the underside of the cover surface or the mechanical contact can be rotated away in a releasing manner.
Furthermore, the actuation part of the locking element can be arranged on an upper side of the closure element and the locking part can be arranged on an underside of the closure element. The actuating part of the locking element is then easily accessible for a user from the top.
According to another development, the locking element can have a ventilation opening.
The ventilation opening can be closed during a locking process that can be carried out with the locking element and can be released during an unlocking process that can be carried out with the locking element. In this way, pressure equalization between the inside and the outside of the container can take place during the unlocking process.
The ventilation opening can be provided in the locking part of the locking element. In particular, the mechanical contact between the locking part and the underside of the cover surface (inside of the cover surface of the container) allows the ventilation opening to be sealed in the locked state of the closure element.
Another development consists in the fact that the closure element comprises an elastic seal for at least partial sealing of the removal opening, in particular the seal running only partially around the removal opening when the removal opening is closed.
The elastic seal can (arranged on the first area) be placed on the top of the cover surface, partially sealingly around the removal opening and / or (arranged on the second region) on the underside of the cover surface, partially sealingly around the removal opening. In connection with the plastic material mentioned, the seal can be arranged on or partially in the plastic material. The sealing effect is improved by an elastic seal. This can be arranged in a simple manner on or in the plastic material, for example by gluing, welding or inserting / pressing onto the underside of the closure element and / or a recess provided for this.
Another development is that a seal surrounding the fastening element is provided on the underside of the closure element. In connection with a plastic material of the lever strap, the seal can be provided on the plastic material of the lever strap and / or be formed in one piece with the plastic material of the lever strap. The seal can be provided on the plastic material of the lever strap and / or be formed in one piece therewith. This seal is used to keep germs away from the underside of the lever bracket in the area of the fastening element (for example in the form of a rivet).
