Claims (2)

  1. System für die Disruption und Entfernung eines Thrombus, umfassend:
    einen Katheter, der einen Körper (10) umfasst, der ein proximales Ende, ein distales Ende (15) und dazwischen ein Lumen (106) definiert,
    eine rohrförmige Welle (18), die ein proximales Ende (20), ein distales Ende (22), einen in der Nähe des distalen Endes (22) der rohrförmigen Welle (18) angebrachten und für das Ziehen eines weichen Plaques und/oder eines Thrombus zu dem Lumen (106) des Katheters nach der Disruption konfigurierten Impeller (24) und ein Führungsdraht-Lumen, das durch die rohrförmige Welle (18) und den Impeller (24) hindurch definiert ist, definiert, wobei die rohrförmige Welle (18) ausgebildet ist, um den Impeller (24) relativ zu dem distalen Ende (15) des Katheterkörpers (10) zu verschieben und zu drehen,
    einen Antrieb (102), der mit dem proximalen Ende der rohrförmigen Welle (18) gekoppelt ist und ausgebildet ist zum Drehen der rohrförmigen Welle und des Impellers (24), und
    eine Steuereinrichtung (104),
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Steuereinrichtung (104) einen Prozessor umfasst, der ausgebildet ist zum Ausführen von programmierten Befehlen, die in einem Speicher gespeichert sind, wobei die Steuereinrichtung in einer operativen Kommunikation mit dem Antrieb (102) steht, wobei der Prozessor ausgebildet ist zum Bestimmen der Verschiebungsposition des Impellers (24), wobei der Prozessor ausgebildet ist zum Verhindern einer Drehung des Antriebs (102) und des Impellers (24), wenn bestimmt wird, dass der Impeller (24) nicht wenigstens teilweise zu außerhalb des Lumens (106) des Katheters verschoben werden soll und sich wenigstens teilweise distal von dem distalen Ende (15) des Katheterkörpers (10) erstreckt,
    wobei die Befehle wenigstens Folgendes umfassen:
    1) Informationen zu der sich von dem Antrieb erstreckenden Länge der rohrförmigen Welle,
    2) die Distanz eines distalen Enes (25) des Impellers (24) von dem Antrieb (102) entlang der rohrförmigen Welle (18),
    3) Befehle zum Verhindern einer Drehung des Antriebs (102) und damit der rohrförmigen Welle (18) und des daran angebrachten Impellers (24), wenn die Position des distalen Endes (25) des Impellers (24) in dem Lumen (106) des Katheters vollständig innerhalb des Lumens (106) liegt und sich also nicht über das distale Ende (15) des Katheterkörpers (12) hinaus erstreckt, und
    4) Befehle zum Erlauben einer Drehung des Antriebs (102) der rohrförmigen Welle (18) und des Impellers (24) nur, wenn sich wenigstens ein Teil des Impellers (24) distal von dem distalen Ende (15) des Katheterkörpers (10) erstreckt und sich also wenigstens teilweise aus dem Katheterlumen (106) heraus erstreckt.
  2. System nach Anspruch 1, wobei der Impeller (24) weiterhin einen länglichen Schneckenaufbau aufweist.
