Claims (15)

  1. Apparatus for steam treatment of laundry, comprising a base (1) containing a water tank (10) which is connected by a conduit (2) to an ironing and/or smoothing tool (3) comprising at least one hole (30A) for the emission of steam, at least one pole (40) which supports a holding element (5) on which a garment can be hung and/or supported in order to allow it to be treated using the tool (3), and a support device (8) on which the tool (3) can be placed in a stable manner during inactive ironing and/or smoothing phases, the support device (8) comprising an attachment member (83) designed to cooperate with a first complementary attachment element (70) supported by the pole (40) in order to allow the support device (8) to be removably attached to the pole (40), characterised in that the base (1) comprises a second complementary attachment element (12) allowing the support device (8) to be removably attached to the base (1).
  2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the base (1) is removably arranged on a stand (4) supporting the pole (40).
  3. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterised in that the base (1) comprises a gripping handle (11) for transporting said base.
  4. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the attachment member is a bracket (83) and in that the complementary attachment elements are orifices (70, 12) designed to receive the bracket (83).
  5. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterised in that the bracket (83) is inserted into the orifice (70, 12) by a substantially vertical movement from top to bottom.
  6. Apparatus according to any of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the first complementary attachment element (70) is supported by an arm (7) which extends transversally to the pole.
  7. Apparatus according to claim 6, characterised in that the first complementary attachment element (70) allows the support device (8) to be attached to a free end of the arm (7), the other end of the arm (7) being attached to the pole (40).
  8. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the second complementary attachment element (12) is provided close to the upper end of the base (1), preferably at the edge of an upper surface of the base (1).
  9. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the tool (3) is an iron.
  10. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the support device (8) comprises a body made of plastic material and having a surface equipped with thermally insulating pads (81) against which the tool (3) is designed to rest.
  11. Steam-ironing apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the holding element is an ironing board (5).
  12. Apparatus according to claim 11, characterised in that the ironing board (5) is mounted pivotally to the pole (40) by means of a hinge device (6) allowing the ironing board (5) to be immobilised in various tilted positions.
  13. Apparatus according to claim 12, characterised in that it comprises a hanger-hanging device (9) arranged at an upper end of the ironing board (5) when the ironing board is in a vertical position and in that the hanger-hanging device (9) comprises a third complementary attachment element (90) allowing the support device (8) to be removably attached when the ironing board (5) is in a horizontal position.
  14. Apparatus according to any of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that it comprises two parallel poles (40) which support the ironing board (5).
  15. Apparatus according to claim 14, characterised in that the first attachment element (70) allows the support device (8) to be attached in a position in which the plane passing through the two poles (40) constitutes a plane of symmetry of the support device (8).
