The present invention relates to wooden constructions with a first wooden construction part and a second wooden construction part and a connection system.

It is well known to use joining devices in timber construction in the form of a metal bracket to achieve a structural connection between two or more timber members.

This US publication discloses side reinforcements to strengthen the structure against parallel or shear stresses.

Aus dem Patent EP 2 093 335 A2 (Bezeichnung: Onepiece bracket for fastening a first construction element to a second element, Anmelderin: Simpson Strong-Tie Co., Inc. ) ist ein Verbindungsstück in der Form eines Winkelstücks mit mittiger Verstärkung bekannt, das geeignet ist, die Verformung bei einer zum Knick parallelen Beanspruchung (Scherung in der Ebene) zu verhindern um Bauteile aus Holz zu verbinden. From the patent EP 2 093 335 A2 (designation: One-piece bracket for fastening a first construction element to a second element, applicant: Simpson Strong-Tie Co., Inc. ) is a connector known in the form of an elbow with central reinforcement, suitable to prevent deformation in the event of a stress parallel to the buckling (in-plane shear) for joining wooden components.

Aus dem Patent EP 2 093 336 A2 (Bezeichnung: Angle bracket for fastening a first construction element to a second element and method for producing an angle bracket, Anmelderin: Simpson Strong-Tie Co., Inc. ) ist ein Verbindungsteil in der Form eines Winkelstücks mit Seitenverstärkungen bekannt, das geeignet ist, die Verformung bei einer zum Knick parallelen Beanspruchung (Scherung in der Ebene) zu verhindern um Bauteile aus Holz zu verbinden. From the Patent EP 2 093 336 A2 (designation: Angle bracket for fastening a first construction element to a second element and method for producing an angle bracket, applicant: Simpson Strong-Tie Co., Inc. ) a connector in the form of an elbow with lateral reinforcements is known, suitable to prevent deformation in the event of a stress parallel to the buckling (shear in the plane) in order to connect wooden components.

From the utility model DE 202004006321 U1 (designation: angle connector for wooden structures, applicant: GH-Baubeschläge GmbH ) a connector in the form of an elbow with several reinforcements is known, suitable for preventing the deformation under a stress parallel to the buckling (shear in the plane) for connecting wooden components.

From JH H06 49901 a screw is known which is inclined and connects the plate with the wooden element.

A describes a connection plate which connects two components and has several screws for connection.

In any case, the known technique described has some disadvantages. Various types of connectors are used to absorb the various stresses, especially those perpendicular (tension) and those parallel (shear) to the buckling, especially in house constructions made of solid wood with the "crosslam" typology, also known as XLAM or CLT designated.

The connector described above, when used in a wood-wood connection (e.g. wall-ceiling) when subjected to the stresses resulting from the pull (holddown) force, requires that the solid wood walls of the upper floor be of the same thickness as those of the lower floor. In order to increase the rigidity of the elbow due to the stress parallel to the buckling, the known technique always envisages the use of different types of reinforcement, also optimizing the strength of the elbow itself.

The reinforcements are necessary to ensure strength, but involve significant manufacturing costs and can also require more space for the connector.

The object of the present invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the known technology.

In particular, the present invention aims to provide a connector for wooden structures of the type described above, which makes it possible to use a single device for the different stresses (tension and shear in the plane). Another object of the present invention is to increase significantly the strength and the rigidity of the connection system for very high stresses, such as those deriving from earthquakes or wind gusts.

In order to solve this problem, the invention proposes a wooden construction with a connection system in the form of a metal bracket with a special design of the holes for the fastening parts with cylindrical shank or nails and fully threaded screws in accordance with claim 1.

This object is achieved by a connection system with a connection piece for wooden structures, which consists of a first metal plate, preferably made of steel. The thickness of the plate preferably varies between 3 mm and 6 mm, particularly advantageously at 4 mm. The plate is essentially bent at 90° to form an elbow. On the vertical side of the connector plate is a series of diameter holes between 4 mm and 6 mm, preferably 5 mm, while on the horizontal side a first row of bores with a diameter d between 4 mm and 6 mm, preferably 5 mm, is provided. A second row of bores with a diameter n between 11 mm and 13 mm, preferably 12 mm, is provided on the horizontal side of the connecting part, near the bend of 90° with a distance i between the bend and the center of the bore. Smooth or serrated nails or screws or similar are provided for the first smaller diameter holes, while fully threaded screws are provided for the larger diameter second holes, forming an angle of between 60° and 85°, preferably 75°, with respect to the horizontal plane.

The positioning of the fully threaded screws has a surprising effect and stiffens the entire connection, ensuring greater strength.

Das vorgeschlagene Verbindungsstück ist für die Hauskonstruktionen aus massiven Holz mit der Typologie "crosslam" (XLAM, CLT) optimiert und bietet eine Vereinfachung der Montage der Holzkonstruktion an.Compared to the prior art, the connecting piece can be used both for stresses perpendicular (tension) and for those parallel (shear) to the buckling, and in this respect it is particularly good for advanced calculations of structures that takes these multiple stresses into account. The connector, in the form of a metal bracket, does not require any further reinforcement between the two flanges, since in the whole of the connection of wooden parts, the fully threaded screws prevent the deformation due to the stresses parallel to the buckling. The connector offers the possibility of inserting a significant number of nails in order to meet the strength and rigidity requirements imposed by the very high stresses caused by earthquakes or wind. The connector has a limited height extension, having the advantage of not protruding from the underground pack. The proposed connector is optimized for house structures made of solid wood with the "crosslam" type (XLAM, CLT) and offers a simplification of the assembly of the wooden structure.

This combination of reduced-size nails/screws and full-threaded screws makes it surprisingly possible to stop both the perpendicular stresses and those parallel to the buckling.

The plate 5 is divided into a vertical plate part 3 and a horizontal plate part 4 by the kink. A row of first bores 8 with a diameter d between preferably 4 mm and 6 mm are provided on the vertical plate part 3 of the connecting piece, while on the horizontal plate part 35 bores 8 with a diameter d between 4 mm and 6 mm are particularly preferred, for example in one embodiment 5 mm are provided. At the A second row of bores with a larger diameter n, preferably between 9 mm and 15 mm, particularly preferably 12 mm, is provided in the horizontal plate part of the connecting piece in the vicinity of the bend of 90°. Smooth or grooved nails or the like are provided for the first holes 8 with a diameter d, while for the holes 7 with a diameter n fully threaded screws 9 are provided which form an angle a of between 60° and 85° with respect to the horizontal plane.

In figure 3 is the distance between the holes 8 from the upper edge b and that b between the holes themselves, which can be 10 mm, for example. The distance between the holes 8 and the lower edge c is 60 mm, for example. The distance between the holes 8 from the left and right edges is a, preferably 11 mm. The bores 8 in the vertical direction are preferably offset at a distance f, advantageously by 5 mm. The vertical rows of holes 8 are provided with an axial distance g advantageously of 19 mm. The distance h between the holes 8 in the horizontal direction is preferably 38 mm. In figure 4 shows in a preferred example the distance of the center of the bores 7 from the outer wall of the vertical plate part i, which in this case is about 13 mm. The distance j between the bores 7 and the bores 8 is advantageously 20 mm. The 8 row holes on the horizontal side of the connector are round Distance k advantageously offset by 5 mm. The minimum distance between the rows of holes 8 can correspond to the distance l of 7 mm, for example. The distance between the bores 8 and the wall facing away from the vertical side of the connecting piece m is advantageously at least or exactly 27 mm. The distance p between the holes 7 in the horizontal direction is advantageously at least or exactly 55 mm. The distance g of the holes 8 from the left edge is, for example, 14 mm, while this from the right edge s is, for example, 13 mm. The vertical rows of holes 8 are offset in the horizontal direction by the distance r, for example 19 mm.

The connection system implemented by a connection is formed by a connecting piece which connects a first wooden component 6 to a second wooden component. The two wooden components form a substantially right angle. The connector is fixed by a first series of fully threaded screws inserted in the holes 7 at an angle α between 60°-85°, advantageously around 75° formed by the screw and the plate in which the holes are located . These bores are arranged essentially adjacent to the bend at a distance of 25 mm, preferably 5 mm. The connection is fixed in the holes 8 with a second row of nails and/or screws. This second screws/nails have a smaller diameter than the first set of fully threaded screws and are placed substantially perpendicularly in the holes opposite the first panel and in the two timber structures. Advantageously, the fully threaded screws do not require a washer/ring to be interposed between the plate and its head.

Finally, it is clear that additions, modifications or variants obvious to those skilled in the art may be made to the system and connector described thus far, without thereby departing from the scope of protection afforded by the appended claims.
