- Preferred embodiments of the invention are provided according to the dependent claims.
- FIG. 1 represents a watch case whose middle part 2 comprises on its periphery two sets of two horns 3 symmetrically and diametrically opposed, between which two strands of bracelet 10 can be fixed in a removable manner by a fixing device 1 according to one embodiment of the 'invention.
- this figure 1 represents the end of a single strand of bracelet, more precisely an end link of a bracelet, such a bracelet may be intended to be composed of assembled links.
- This end link comprises a first end corresponding to the end of the bracelet, fixed to the watch case, and a second end comprising a receiving device 11 for another link of the bracelet strand, in the form of an opening transversal intended to receive a connecting axis.
- the fixing device 1 is suitable for fixing any other type of bracelet or bracelet strand than a bracelet with articulated links, such as a flexible bracelet strand, for example in leather or composite material.
- two bracelet strands will preferably be respectively fixed between each set of two horns 3 of the middle part 2 of the watch case by the same fixing device 1, then fixed together on their other end by a clasp.
- the fixing device 1 of a bracelet strand 10 is more precisely represented by the figure 2 , in the configuration for fixing the bracelet 10.
- This fixing device 1 is based first on a particular geometry arranged at the level of the lug of the middle part 2, and which cooperates with a corresponding particular geometry arranged at the end of the strand of bracelet 10.
- the lug in fact comprises a component whose section has, for example, a U-shaped or substantially U-shaped oriented towards the bracelet, which thus defines a transverse groove.
- This groove extends transversely from the first horn 3 to the second horn 3 (measured along the transverse axis y) and is delimited by a lower surface 4, an upper surface 5, and a vertical surface 6 connecting these two lower surfaces and superior to the level of the middle part 2.
- the lower surface 4 comprises a through bore 7 (or opening 7), oriented vertically, positioned substantially in the center of the lug considering the transverse direction.
- the bracelet 10 includes a projection 16 at its end, more precisely represented by the Figure 3 , intended for housing within the groove arranged in the lug of the middle part.
- This projection 16 comprises a through bore 17 (or opening 17), oriented vertically, positioned substantially in the center of the projection considering the transverse direction. This construction is designed so that the two bores 7, 17 are substantially aligned when the projection 16 of the bracelet 10 is housed in the groove of the lug.
- the bracelet 10 further comprises a housing 18 at the lower surface of the projection 16, intended to receive an elastic element 30, in a removable manner.
- Such an elastic element 30 thus extends substantially in a plane parallel to the plane of the bracelet strand, and comprises a through opening which can be offset, in particular offset by a magnitude preferably between 0.02 mm and 0.5 mm with the bore 17 of the projection, as will be detailed later.
- the fixing device 1 of the bracelet strand 10 on the watch case further comprises a pin 20, a lower portion 23 of which is housed in the bore 7 of the middle part 2, an intermediate portion 22 is housed in the bore of the elastic element 30, and an upper portion 21 is housed in the bore 17 of the projection 16 of the bracelet 10.
- This pin 20, in cooperation with the elastic element 30, thus ensures the reliable and play-free maintenance of the bracelet 10 on the watch case.
- an elastic element 30 is positioned in the housing 18 provided at the end of the bracelet, mentioned previously.
- the elastic element 30 comprises a substantially annular shape
- the housing 18 has a circular section whose diameter may be slightly less than the diameter of the elastic element, so as to allow the element to be maintained elastic in said housing by its slight compression.
- the end of the bracelet is positioned in the lug of the watch case, so that the projection 16 of the bracelet is positioned in the groove arranged at the lug.
- the height of this projection 16 corresponds substantially to the distance between the two lower surfaces 4 and upper 5 delimiting the groove in height, with a slight play to facilitate the insertion of the projection without resistance.
- the depth of the groove corresponds substantially to the length of the projection 16, measured in the longitudinal direction, with a slight clearance to ensure that this projection is not blocked by an inadvertent stop of its vertical surface 12 at its end.
- the pin 20 is inserted through the bore 7 of the middle part 2.
- the upper portion 21 of the pin has a diameter greater than that of its intermediate section 22.
- This upper portion 21 of the pin also has a diameter greater than that of the bore of the elastic element 30.
- the pin 20 is thus driven through the elastic element: naturally, the aforementioned diameters and the elastic property of the elastic element are chosen to allow insertion of the pin, with adequate force and without deterioration of the elastic element, but guaranteeing good retention of the pin and the bracelet at the end of this insertion.
- This insertion continues until the pin 20 reaches its final position, represented by the figure 2 And 5 , in which its intermediate portion 22 of smaller diameter of the pin 20 is positioned within the bore of the elastic element 30.
- the elastic element 30 makes it possible to form a reliable and stable connection of the pin. This results in reliable fixation of the bracelet.
- the elastic element 30, through its elastic property, takes up any play and allows for play-free attachment of the bracelet 10 to the watch case.
- the insertion of the pin 20 has the effect of pressing the upper surface 15 of the projection 16 against the upper surface 5 of the groove, thus ensuring locking without play in the vertical direction of the bracelet.
- an offset is provided between the housing 18 and the bore 17 of the bracelet 10.
- An offset is also provided between the housing 18 of the bracelet and the bore 7 of the watch case. More precisely, the axis A 17 of the bore 17 of the bracelet 10 is arranged slightly set back in the longitudinal direction relative to the axis of the housing 18 of the watch case, which defines the axis A 30 of the elastic element 30. Thus, the through opening of the elastic element 30 is slightly offset with the bore 17 of the bracelet 10, as is more particularly shown in the Figure 3 .
- the positioning of the pin 20 through the two bores 7 and 17 is possible by the deformation, in particular the compression, of the elastic element 30 which compensates for the aforementioned misalignment.
- This achievement promotes holding the bracelet without play in the longitudinal direction. It also ensures continuity between the upper surfaces of the watch case and the upper surface of the bracelet, at their interface, which guarantees a good aesthetic perception.
- THE figures 6 and 7 illustrate a phase of detachment from a bracelet.
- the pin 20 is driven through the elastic element, in the same direction as in the joining phase described previously.
- the lower portion 23 of the pin of diameter substantially equal to that of the upper portion 21, is housed within the elastic element 30.
- the operation is continued until the pin 20 comes out completely from bore 7 to the lug of the middle, in the position shown on the figures 6 and 7 .
- the length L10 of the bore 17 of the bracelet 10 is at least equal to the length L20 of the pin 20.
- the bore 17 could alternatively be a blind bore, as long as it respects the previous condition.
- the pin In the position of figures 6 and 7 , it appears that the pin no longer blocks the bracelet 10 which can be removed by simple traction in the longitudinal direction x. The pin 20 can then be recovered or replaced for a future joining operation.
- the elastic element 30 appears as a ring or an elastic ring. It can be a polymer seal or an elastomer seal. Its section can have a “U” shape, as particularly represented by the figure 8 and the figures 2 to 7 , or a “T” shape, as represented by the Figure 9 .
- the elastic element 30 can be an O-ring, as represented by the Figure 10 , or even a quatrefoil joint, like represented by the Figure 11 .
- the elastic element can alternatively take any other shape.
- the middle part could include any other shape allowing the reception of a bracelet and the maintenance by a vertical pin.
- the bore 7 of the middle part could alternatively be a bore of the upper surface 5 of the groove and the bracelet would comprise an elastic element arranged at the level of its upper surface.
- the middle part does not necessarily include horns, a groove being able to be arranged independently of the horns.
- the bracelet could include a projection of different geometry.
- the bore 17 of the bracelet can open onto one or other of the faces of the projection of the bracelet strand, without necessarily passing through.
- the elastic element could be arranged differently in correspondence with the bore of the bracelet.
- the pin may have a maximum diameter less than or equal to 1.5 mm. This diameter is preferably between 0.8 and 1.4 mm inclusive.
- the pin may alternatively have another geometry, for example a section of non-circular shape. Alternatively, it can have a simplified geometry, with a constant section over its entire length, designed to allow joining and uncoupling operations through the elastic element while guaranteeing good maintenance of the assembly.
- the embodiment makes it possible to achieve a satisfactory result with a single pin. Alternatively, two or more pins could be used to secure the same bracelet strand.
- connection described above can naturally be reversed, the projection being arranged at the level of the middle part, in particular of a lug, so as to cooperate with a groove arranged at the end of a bracelet strand.
- the elastic element is housed in the bracelet.

Description
The present invention relates to a device for fixing a bracelet strand to a watch case.
A traditional solution for attaching a bracelet to a watch case consists of using a spring bar, arranged within a transverse opening formed at one end of a strand of the bracelet, and the two ends of which are shaped to engage within housings made on the internal face of each of the horns of the watch case. Such an operation can require a significant amount of assembly time, and is particularly delicate. This may in particular have the effect of marking the exterior of the wristwatch, and more specifically, the underside of the lugs of the watch case,

To facilitate the description which follows, we will designate by vertical direction z the direction perpendicular to the plane of the watch case, oriented towards an observer of the watch. The adjective “lower” will therefore designate the side of the watch case and the bracelet intended to come into contact with the wrist of a wearer. We will designate by transverse direction y the direction extending from the center of a

The lug in fact comprises a component whose section has, for example, a U-shaped or substantially U-shaped oriented towards the bracelet, which thus defines a transverse groove. This groove extends transversely from the
The
In the preliminary phase, an
In the final position of the
The positioning of the
Naturally, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described. Thus, the middle part, or even the watch case, could include any other shape allowing the reception of a bracelet and the maintenance by a vertical pin. For example, the
Furthermore, the pin may have a maximum diameter less than or equal to 1.5 mm. This diameter is preferably between 0.8 and 1.4 mm inclusive. The pin may alternatively have another geometry, for example a section of non-circular shape. Alternatively, it can have a simplified geometry, with a constant section over its entire length, designed to allow joining and uncoupling operations through the elastic element while guaranteeing good maintenance of the assembly. Finally, the embodiment makes it possible to achieve a satisfactory result with a single pin. Alternatively, two or more pins could be used to secure the same bracelet strand.
Finally, the connection described above can naturally be reversed, the projection being arranged at the level of the middle part, in particular of a lug, so as to cooperate with a groove arranged at the end of a bracelet strand. On the other hand, in both cases, the elastic element is housed in the bracelet.
