Abstract

Un garde-temps mécanique du type balancier-spiral, comporte un ressort spiral (10), un balancier (20) et un mécanisme d'échappement (30) relié par un point d'attache (12) au ressort spiral et agencé pour entretenir une oscillation du balancier. Le mécanisme d'échappement (30) est relié au point d'attache (12) du ressort spiral par un châssis (40) pivoté autour de l'axe (A) du balancier. Une extrémité externe (12) du ressort spiral (10) est attachée à cette pièce transversale (40) à un endroit situé d'un côté de l'axe (A) de balancier. Le châssis (40) comporte deux branches s'étendant de part et d'autre de l'axe du balancier (20) et formant un plateau tournant dont l'axe de rotation est confondu avec l'axe d'oscillation du balancier (20). Le mécanisme d'échappement (30) est situé d'un autre côté de l'axe (A) de balancier et agit sur le châssis pivoté pour libérer sa rotation et ainsi faire tourner l'extrémité attachée (12) du ressort spiral.
