- the linear thruster device 70 is configured to move linearly forward and backward in a drive direction F.
- the drive direction F is orthogonal to the direction of feed D with respect to a vertical plane.
- the folding and pressing member 40 can have an L-shaped shaped portion 40a, as shown with the solid lines in fig. 7 , or C-shaped or U-shaped, also providing a second tooth 44, shown with dotted lines in the drawing.
- the conveying device 37 feeds the packets 20 stepwise in the direction of feed D until they are disposed, already provided with the stamp 30 partly applied thereon, below the linear thruster device 70.
- the linear thruster device 70 moves the folding and pressing member 40 in the drive direction F, so as to press the first flap 31 against the first wall 27 and fold the second flap 32 against the second wall 26.
- the linear thruster device 70 is a tracking device to track the packet 20 during its feed in the direction D, keeping the folding and pressing member 40 in contact with the packet 20 in the direction of feed D.
