Definitions

  • the invention relates to a manual dosing device, in particular a pipette, with a base body and a fluid delivery unit connected to the base body. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a manual dosing device arrangement comprising at least one such manual dosing device.
  • Such manual dosing devices are already known from the prior art, in particular as pipettes. Publications that disclose such manual dosing devices are, for example, the publications WO 2014/178101 A1 , U.S. 2002/012613 A1 and U.S. 2009/0117009 A1 .
  • Such manual dosing devices are used by a wide variety of people.
  • the known manual dosing devices are generally tailored to people with an average hand size and can therefore be handled ergonomically and comfortably by such people.
  • an ergonomic grip and thus an ergonomic handling of these manual dosing devices can be impaired.
  • frequent or prolonged use of the manual dosing device can therefore be uncomfortable and tiring for such people.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to create a hand-held dosing device and a hand-held dosing device arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset, which can be easily adapted to hands of different sizes.
  • the hand-held dosing device has a handle which is detachably attached to the base body and can be removed and/or exchanged from it.
  • the handle can therefore be removed from the base body.
  • the handle can be easily removed from the base body and, if necessary, exchanged for a differently designed handle, for example a smaller or larger one, in order to adapt the hand-held dosing device to a person with a smaller or larger hand size.
  • the handle can thus be easily removed from the base body without great effort and without the use of tools.
  • a manual dosing device is created which can be adapted particularly easily and conveniently to at least two different hand sizes due to the removable handle.
  • the handle attached to the base body leads to an increase in the cross section of the base body, which is why the base body and thus the hand-held dosing device can be comfortably gripped and operated in this case by a person with a larger hand. If the handle is removed, the cross-section of the base body can be reduced and the manual dosing device can be adapted to the size of a smaller hand.
  • the handle is designed as an interchangeable handle. Such a handle can then be replaced by another handle that is tailored to a different hand size and can also be attached to the base body.
  • At least one fastening element adapted to the handle is formed on the base body for detachably fastening the handle on an outer side of the base body, and at least one matching counter-fastening element is formed on an opposite side of the handle facing the base body.
  • the at least one fastening element can be designed, for example, as a fastening strip, as a fastening button, as a fastening projection or else as a fastening trough or fastening receptacle into which a corresponding counter-projection can be inserted. If a fastening button is used as the fastening element, it can preferably be head-shaped or mushroom-shaped in order to allow a corresponding latching into a counter-recess or counter-receptacle on the handle.
  • the at least one counter-fastening element can be designed as a strip receptacle, counter-trough or counter-receptacle or also as a counter-button.
  • a counter-trough or counter-receptacle as a counter-fastening element, this can be designed in such a way that a fastening element in the form of a fastening button for fastening the handle to the base body of the manual dosing device can be pressed into the latter.
  • a non-positive, positive or non-positive connection or even a latching connection can form between the base body and the handle.
  • a fastening trough or a fastening receptacle as a fastening element and a mating mating fastener in the form of a mating knob.
  • the at least one fastening element and/or the at least one counter-fastening element can be designed as a magnetic fastening element.
  • a handle equipped with a magnetic counter-fastening element can be fixed to a base body that has a fastening element that responds to magnetism or a housing made of a material that responds to magnetism.
  • the fastener is a magnetic fastener
  • a magnetism-responsive handle or a handle with a magnetism-responsive mating fastener can also be reliably releasably secured to the body.
  • a fastening option can be provided that does not require undercuts and thus helps to prevent dirt from getting stuck between the handle and the base body.
  • At least one fastening element on the base body can also be matched to a holding device of a hand-held dosing device, in particular an automatic pipetting device.
  • a holding device of a hand-held dosing device in particular an automatic pipetting device.
  • the hand dosing device is particularly comfortable to hold lie when the body has a rounded, round or circular cross-section or is even cylindrical.
  • the handle has a handle shell which at least partially surrounds the base body in the position of use. In this way, the handle can be fixed to the base body in a particularly ergonomic manner. In this way, smooth transitions can result between the handle and the base body, as a result of which the manual dosing device can be particularly easy to grip.
  • the handle can be designed in such a way that it surrounds the base body in an angular range of more than 180° in the position of use. In this way, the handle can be detachably attached to the base body without separate attachment means. The handle designed in this way can then be pushed axially onto the base body in relation to a longitudinal axis of the base body in its position of use. If the housing has on its outside a sliding stop for the handle that defines the position of use of the handle, the handle can be pushed onto the base body in a particularly reliable manner into its position of use.
  • the handle it is possible for the handle to be clamped onto or onto the base body, that is to say has a clamping seat on the base body. This can prevent the handle from slipping on the base body. This can be advantageous in particular when the handle is to be pushed axially onto the base body.
  • the handle is hook-shaped at its upper end adjacent to a head end of the base body.
  • a hook-shaped handle allows the manual dosing device to be held particularly securely.
  • the manual dosing device can be an actuating element and/or have a volume adjustment means.
  • actuating element can be, for example, a push button or pusher, with which a mechanism arranged in the base body for actuating the fluid delivery unit can be controlled.
  • the volume adjustment means can be what is known as a volume adjustment wheel, with which a volume to be dispensed or pipetted with the aid of the manual dosing device can be preset.
  • actuating element and/or the volume adjustment means protrude axially beyond the handle that is in the position of use. In this way, it can be ensured that both the actuating means and the volume adjustment means are easily accessible to a user even when the handle is in the operating position, ie use of the manual dosing device is not adversely affected even when the handle is attached to the base body.
  • the fluid delivery unit is detachably connected to the base body.
  • the fluid delivery unit In order to detachably connect the fluid delivery unit to the base body, it can be screwed to the base body.
  • the handle and the base body are thermally decoupled from one another.
  • an air gap is formed between an outside of the base body facing the handle and the handle.
  • Such a thermal decoupling can largely prevent an undesired introduction of heat, which can be transferred from one hand to the handle when holding the pipette, starting from the handle and onto the base body. This with the aim to keep the accuracy of the manual dosing device as constant as possible.
  • the handle can be shaped ergonomically and tailored to the needs of the user.
  • the grip can be made or be matched to a previously measured hand shape of the user. This is possible with comparatively little effort if the handle is or is being produced using a rapid prototyping method, for example using a 3D printing method.
  • a hand-held dosing device arrangement comprising at least one hand-held dosing device according to one of the preceding claims and at least two handles adapted to different hand sizes, the handles being detachably attachable to a base body of the at least one hand-held dosing device.
  • the Figures 1 and 2 show a hand-held dosing device, designated as a whole by 1, which in the present case is designed as a manually operable, mechanical pipette 2.
  • the manual dosing device 1 comprises a base body 3 and a fluid delivery unit 4 connected to the base body 3.
  • a handle 5 is provided on the base body 3, which according to FIG figure 2 releasably attached to the base body 3 and is exchangeable.
  • the handle 5 can thus also be referred to as an interchangeable handle.
  • two attachment elements 7 matched to the handle 5 are formed on an outer side 6 of the base body 3 .
  • Counter-fastening elements 9 designed to match the fastening elements 7 are formed on an opposite side 8 of the grip 5 facing the base body 3 in the position of use of the grip 5 .
  • the two fastening elements 7 on the base body 3 are also matched to a holding device of a manual dispensing machine or an automatic pipetting machine.
  • the hand-held dosing device 1 can be attached to a holding device of a hand-held dosing device or an automatic pipette device when the handle 5 has been removed, so that the hand-held dosing device can also be used in an automatic mode.
  • the handle 5 includes a handle shell 10, with which he the base body 3 of the manual dosing device in the position of use figure 2 at least partially surrounded.
  • the handle is hook-shaped at its upper end 12 adjacent to a head end 11 of the base body 3 .
  • the hand dosing device 1 has at its head end 11 an actuating element 13 and a volume adjustment means 14 in the form of a volume adjustment wheel. Both the actuating element 13 and the volume adjustment means 14 protrude axially beyond the handle 5 in the position of use, so that both the actuating element 13 and the volume adjustment means 14 can be easily reached by a user even when the handle 5 is in the position of use.
  • the handle 5 and the base body 3 are thermally decoupled from one another. In this way, heat transfer from the handle 5 to the base body 3, which could impair the accuracy of the manual dosing device 1, can be reduced or even avoided.
  • an air gap 21 is formed between the outside 6 of the base body 3 facing the handle 5 and the handle 5 .
  • the figures show that the handle 5 is ergonomically shaped and manufactured to match a previously measured hand shape. This can be done using a rapid prototyping process.
  • the fluid delivery unit 4 is detachably connected to the base body 3 .
  • a screw, plug, snap and/or a combined snap-screw connection can be provided between the fluid delivery unit 4 and the base body 3 .
  • the hand-held dosing device 1 shown together with another handle not shown separately in the figures, forms a hand-held dosing device arrangement.
  • the at least two handles 5, which are detachably attached to the base body 3 of the manual dosing device and can be exchanged for one another have different dimensions and are thus tailored to different hand sizes of different users.
  • the hand-held dosing device 1 can thus be adapted to different hand sizes without great effort by simply changing the handles 5 associated with the hand-held dosing device 1 according to the invention.
  • the fluid delivery unit 4 is designed as a piston unit and comprises a receiving space 15 for receiving an air cushion and a shaft 16.
  • the receiving space 15 is connected via a delivery channel 17 formed in the shaft 16 to a delivery opening 19 formed at a free end 18 of the shaft 16 tied together.
  • the air cushion in the receiving space 15 is displaced in the direction of the dispensing opening 19.
  • a volume of liquid that is held available in a pipette tip (not shown in the figures) attached to the free end 18 of the shaft 16 can be dispensed.
  • the volume of the air cushion can be specified by the volume adjustment device 14 .
  • the shank 16 is surrounded by an ejector sleeve 20 .
  • the ejector sleeve 20 can be axially displaced relative to the shaft 16 in the direction of the free end 18 of the shaft 16 by an axial pressure on the volume adjustment means 14 . This is with the aim of throwing off a pipette tip attached to the free end 18 of the shaft 16 if necessary.
  • the manual dosing device 1 In order to be able to adapt a manual dosing device 1, in particular a pipette, to hand dimensions of different sizes, the manual dosing device 1 is proposed, on the base body 3 of which at least one handle 5 or interchangeable handle is detachable, attachable or attached.
  • the manual dosing device 1 can be adapted to users with different hand sizes by removing the handle 5 or by changing the handle 5 and replacing the handle 5 with a handle 5 of different dimensions.
