Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for actuating a drain valve of a toilet cistern according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • a generic device is described in the patent US4809367 .
  • a toilet cistern has a filling valve connected to the water supply network and a drain valve.
  • the toilet cistern can be filled with water to a specified level.
  • the drain valve is usually made up of a drain nozzle mounted on the bottom of the cistern and an overflow pipe that can be adjusted in stroke. In its closed position, the overflow pipe closes a flow passage through the drain connection.
  • the overflow pipe By pressing a pushbutton on the user side, the overflow pipe can be lifted into its open position, in which a quantity of flush water can flow out of the drain connection of the toilet cistern.
  • the push button is in operative connection with the overflow pipe via a mechanical linkage.
  • a drain fitting is known in which the push button is not connected to the overflow pipe via a mechanical linkage, but via a pneumatic system.
  • the pneumatic system has a first bellows positioned on the push button, which is connected via a pneumatic line to a second bellows positioned on the overflow pipe.
  • the push button is pressed, the first bellows is compressed and an overpressure is thus generated, which can be applied to the second bellows.
  • the overpressure is applied, the second bellows expands, whereby the overflow pipe is moved into its open position.
  • the above pneumatic system is both space-consuming and component-intensive.
  • the implementation of the pneumatic system is therefore associated with high costs and is complex to carry out in terms of assembly.
  • From the publication US6425145B1 a push button from the pamphlet DE2608166 a fluid control system and from the document WO2006 / 012650A1 a cistern arrangement known.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a device for actuating a drain valve of a toilet cistern which, compared to the prior art, can be implemented in a reduced space and in components.
  • the device has at least one control valve which can be actuated with the pushbutton and is arranged in a control line connected to a water supply network.
  • a water volume flow can be set, with which the drain valve can be controlled.
  • a bellows can be dispensed with in the pneumatic system, which bellows adjusts the stroke of the overflow pipe when overpressure is applied.
  • the pneumatic system according to the invention has precisely one pneumatic actuator which can be subjected to a negative pressure to adjust the stroke of the overflow pipe.
  • the device has a negative pressure unit which is fluidically connected to the pneumatic actuator. When activated by the user, the negative pressure unit generates negative pressure acting on the pneumatic actuator in order to adjust the stroke of the overflow pipe.
  • the pneumatic system can be implemented as a bellows, a piston-cylinder unit or as a diaphragm lift system.
  • the membrane lifting system can, for example, have at least one working chamber which can be acted upon by negative pressure and which is delimited by a deformable membrane.
  • the deformable membrane can be connected to the overflow pipe. When the working chamber is subjected to negative pressure, the membrane can deform and the overflow pipe can be adjusted in stroke accordingly.
  • the pneumatic actuator can be a bellows, which contracts like an accordion when a negative pressure is applied and, when the negative pressure is released, pulls apart (that is, expands) like an accordion.
  • the vacuum unit carries water, i.e. a vacuum nozzle or a water jet pump.
  • the vacuum nozzle / water jet pump can be connected to the pneumatic actuator via a vacuum line. Since the vacuum nozzle / water jet pump carries water, air is sucked out of the pneumatic actuator, i.e. a negative pressure is generated in the pneumatic actuator.
  • the above water-carrying negative pressure unit can have a throttle point with a flow cross-section constriction between its water inlet side and its water outlet side in the manner of a Venturi nozzle.
  • the vacuum line can preferably open into the flow channel of the vacuum unit at the throttle point.
  • the pneumatic actuator (that is, for example, the bellows) can be arranged in the vertical direction of the drain fitting, in particular in alignment above the overflow pipe.
  • the pneumatic actuator can preferably be connected to the overflow pipe via a rigid connecting element which, for example, coaxially extends the overflow pipe upwards.
  • the vacuum unit can be arranged in particular in alignment above the pneumatic actuator, whereby a particularly space-saving design of the pneumatic system is achieved.
  • the water-carrying negative pressure unit is connected on its water inlet side to a control line which can be connected to the water supply network.
  • the control line can preferably come from a supply line leading to a filling valve of the toilet cistern branch off.
  • the line pressure which is already present, is used to generate the negative pressure in the negative pressure unit without the need for additional external energy (for example, pressure actuation by the user or electrical energy).
  • the water-carrying negative pressure unit can open with its water outlet side directly into the interior of the toilet cistern.
  • the above variant is particularly advantageous for a toilet repair measure in which the water supply line to the toilet cistern is shut off at a corner valve in preparation.
  • the water supply to the toilet cistern and to the vacuum unit is interrupted.
  • the fitter In the case of a conventional toilet cistern, in which the push button is connected to the drain valve via a mechanical linkage, the fitter must empty the toilet cistern before starting the repair in order to prevent water from leaking out of the toilet cistern if the push button is unintentionally operated .
  • such a preventive emptying of the toilet cistern can be omitted for the following reason: Because of the angle valve shut-off, no water can be passed through the control line, so that the negative pressure unit cannot generate negative pressure. The drain valve thus remains reliably closed even if the push button is unintentionally actuated.
  • the vacuum unit can be activated by the user.
  • a control valve that can be actuated by the user is arranged in the control line leading to the negative pressure unit, that is to say upstream of the water-carrying negative pressure unit.
  • the control valve is a time-controlled actuation valve, for example a so-called self-closing valve.
  • the control valve has a control piston which can be stroke-adjustable in a valve housing.
  • the control piston is adjusted by means of at least one pushbutton that can be operated by the user.
  • the control piston In its non-actuated position, the control piston is spring-loaded into a closed position, in which a control piston valve plate is in sealing contact with a valve seat fixed to the housing and a flow path through the control valve is thereby closed.
  • the push button is pressed over a stroke of the key
  • the control piston is moved into its open position against the spring preload force.
  • the flow path through the control valve is released, so that water flows through the water-bearing negative pressure unit.
  • the control piston is returned to its closed position via a return stroke under the action of the spring preloading force.
  • the length of the above key stroke of the push button correlates with a reset time interval within which the control piston is returned to its closed position after the push button has been released.
  • the water-carrying negative pressure unit is traversed by the water volume flow and a negative pressure is generated which acts on the pneumatic actuator.
  • the length of the key stroke has a direct influence on the amount of flush water flowing out of the toilet cistern.
  • the user-operated push button can be assigned a stroke adjusting member that sets the maximum key stroke of the push button and thus also the reset time interval.
  • the drain fitting can have a first push button, when actuated a large amount of flush water flows out of the toilet cistern, and a second push button, when actuated a small amount of flush water from the toilet cistern emanates.
  • the user can determine the amount of flush water.
  • the two pushbuttons can be connected to the control piston in a force-transmitting manner, in particular for example with the interposition of a cross member, in such a way that the second pushbutton remains in its rest position when the first pushbutton is pressed.
  • the key stroke covered by one of the pushbuttons is thus identical to the piston stroke covered by the control piston.
  • each of the two pushbuttons is assigned a stroke adjustment member, with the aid of which the maximum possible stroke travel of the first and second pushbuttons can be set independently of one another. With such a control valve, different amounts of flushing water can be set variably.
  • the pushbutton described above can only be actuated by pressure, i.e. it is only arranged in the pushbutton housing so that it can be lifted parallel to the axis of the housing.
  • the pushbutton can be designed as a rotary pushbutton which can be actuated by pressing and rotating and with which the desired flushing quantity can be varied in a simple manner of operation.
  • the rotary pushbutton is designed in such a way that the available key travel can be varied or set when it is turned.
  • the drain valve can be adjusted to the open position in order to drain the set flush volume.
  • the rotary actuation and the pressure actuation of the rotary pushbutton can take place one after the other.
  • the user first sets the available key travel (i.e. the desired flush volume) by turning the button and starts flushing in a subsequent operating step by pressing the button.
  • the desired flush volume can be set between a minimum and maximum volume using a simple operating philosophy (i.e. between 1 liter and 9 liters, for example).
  • the rotary actuator and the pressure actuation also take place simultaneously, that is to say carried out superimposed on one another.
  • the at least one stroke adjusting element can be rotatably coupled to the rotary pushbutton.
  • the stroke adjusting member In a non-pressure-actuated rest position of the rotary pushbutton, the stroke adjusting member can be spaced from a rotationally fixed control contour by the stroke of the button.
  • the stroke adjustment member strikes the non-rotatable control contour, using up the stroke of the button.
  • the rotary pushbutton can be mounted in a button housing that can be non-rotatably mounted on a building wall so that it can rotate about a housing axis and be adjustable in stroke.
  • the non-rotatable control contour can be formed directly in the button housing.
  • the button housing can preferably be designed as a hollow cylinder, the rotary push button being able to be arranged within the hollow cylindrical button housing.
  • the button housing can, for example, be mounted on a decorative panel that can be fastened to the wall via a latching connection.
  • the rotary pushbutton can be arranged radially within the hollow cylindrical button housing.
  • Its stroke adjustment member can be implemented as a control cam which can, for example, protrude radially outward, specifically in a sliding block guide fixed to the housing, which is designed, for example, on the inside of the hollow cylindrical button housing.
  • Rotary pushbutton When the rotary pushbutton is actuated by pressure, the control cam of the stroke adjusting member that is rotatably coupled to the rotary pushbutton can strike against the rotationally fixed control contour of the sliding block guide fixed to the housing.
  • An axial movement, i.e. a stroke movement, des Rotary pushbutton can in this case be defined between the non-rotatable control contour and an axial stop, axially spaced therefrom, of the sliding block guide fixed to the housing.
  • a rotary movement of the push button can be limited by means of circumferential rotary stops of the link guide.
  • the control cam i.e. the stroke adjusting member rotatably coupled to the rotary pushbutton, with a first stop surface under the action of the spring preload against the axial stop
  • the control cam is released from the axial stop of the sliding block guide fixed to the housing and strikes the latter with a second stop surface against the control contour of the sliding block guide fixed to the housing.
  • the circumferential rotary stops of the sliding block guide fixed to the housing also span an angle of rotation by which the rotary pushbutton can be maximally actuated in rotation.
  • the axial stop of the sliding block guide fixed to the housing can have a contact surface which interacts with the control cam of the stroke adjustment element and which lies completely in a transverse plane at right angles to the housing axis.
  • the contact surface of the control contour fixed to the housing which interacts with the control cam of the stroke adjustment member, can adopt an arbitrarily adapted circumferential profile in order to provide different sized key stroke paths depending on the rotary position of the rotary push button.
  • the contact surface of the control contour fixed to the housing can lie continuously in an inclined plane to the housing axis. In this case, the contact surface of the control contour fixed to the housing extends steplessly and smoothly in the circumferential direction.

  • the contact surface of the control contour can have one or more elevations that can be perceived as pressure points that can be rotated by the user when the rotary pushbutton is actuated in a rotary manner. In this way, different rotary positions of the rotary pushbutton can be perceived haptically by the user. In the case of a control contour with several elevations, the intermediate areas delimited by the elevations can be perceived as segmentations.
  • the contact surface of the axial stop fixed to the housing can have at least one surface structure, for example an elevation or depression.
  • the elevation / depression can be haptically and / or acoustically perceptible as a pressure point that can be turned over by the user.
  • the user can perceive at least one segmentation when the axial stop fixed to the housing is implemented with several elevations / depressions.

  • the pushbutton carrier part can be designed approximately in the form of a disk, a visible cap of the rotary pushbutton being mounted on it in a rotationally fixed manner.
  • the control piston can be mounted to transmit pressure force and to be non-rotatable or also rotatably decoupled. With regard to the smoothest possible rotary actuation of the rotary pushbutton, it is preferred if there is a rotary decoupling between the button carrier part and the control piston.
  • the above-mentioned stroke adjusting member ie the control cam
  • the rotary pushbutton in particular its button carrier part, and the button housing in which the rotary pushbutton is rotatably and stroke-adjustable can have interacting elevations and / or depressions.
