Definitions
- coating of a web of material may be done by moving the web and the coating applying cylinder in opposite directions. This provides a surplus of liquid coating material at the applying zone, i.e. in and near a nip between the web and the coating applying cylinder. This way an adequate amount of coating is transferred on the web.
