- the blowing unit defines a flow direction of the air flow.
- the flow direction is designed in such a way that it is directed to the delivery unit when the yarn return unit in the textile machine is used as intended.
- the flow direction thus runs substantially in a yarn transport direction of the yarn produced, but is opposite to the yarn feeding or delivery direction during production. With the aid of the air flow generated by the blowing unit, the yarn guided in the yarn guiding section can be blown from the yarn returning unit to the delivery unit.
- the yarn return unit has an open contour with an insertion region, through which the yarn can be introduced transversely to the flow direction of the air flow into the yarn guide section.
- the yarn can be inserted into the yarn guide section before it is returned to the delivery unit, for example during the clamping of a thread loop.
- the yarn may, in the intended use of the yarn return unit transversely to a Garnlhackscardi and Thus, also be inserted transversely to the yarn transport direction or substantially transversely to the flow direction in the yarn guide section. - the insertion section may also have at least one insertion surface. With the help of the insertion surface, the yarn can be introduced into the insertion area. Additionally or alternatively, the yarn can be introduced into the insertion section with the aid of the insertion surface.
- the insertion surface may be inclined, for example, to the insertion region or to the insertion section, so that the yarn slips off the insertion surface into the insertion region or the insertion section.
- the blowing unit is annular and at least partially surrounds the yarn guide section. Thereby, the blowing unit can form the air flow, which entrains the yarn in a central region of the air flow.
- the blowing unit has a recess, through the yarn is insertable into the blowing unit and into the yarn guide section. Through the recess, the yarn can be introduced into the annular blowing unit. It therefore does not have to be threaded into the blowing unit in the direction of air flow with one end of the yarn.
- the blowing unit is formed by an insert which can be inserted into the yarn return unit.
- the blowing unit can be retrofitted.
- a suitable use in the blower unit can be set for each application or for each type of yarn.
- the yarn return unit comprises at least one measuring unit by means of which a presence of the yarn in the yarn return unit can be detected.

A yarn return unit is proposed for returning a yarn to a delivery unit of a textile machine during a piecing process. The delivery unit can be, for example, a spinning unit of an open-end spinning machine. The piecing process can be carried out, for example, when a yarn is torn in the textile machine and has to be returned to the delivery unit, in particular to the spinning unit, in order, for example, to be able to continue the production process.
The yarn return unit has a yarn guide section for guiding and positioning the yarn with respect to the delivery unit. In the yarn guide section, for example, the yarn can be inserted so that it is guided.
In addition, the yarn returning unit has a blowing unit for generating an air flow for returning the yarn to the delivery unit. The blowing unit defines a flow direction of the air flow. The flow direction is designed in such a way that it is directed to the delivery unit when the yarn return unit in the textile machine is used as intended. The flow direction thus runs substantially in a yarn transport direction of the yarn produced, but is opposite to the yarn feeding or delivery direction during production. With the aid of the air flow generated by the blowing unit, the yarn guided in the yarn guiding section can be blown from the yarn returning unit to the delivery unit.
According to the invention, the yarn return unit has an open contour with an insertion region, through which the yarn can be introduced transversely to the flow direction of the air flow into the yarn guide section. As a result of the open contour of the insertion region, the yarn can be inserted into the yarn guide section before it is returned to the delivery unit, for example during the clamping of a thread loop. The yarn may, in the intended use of the yarn return unit transversely to a Garnlängsrichtung and Thus, also be inserted transversely to the yarn transport direction or substantially transversely to the flow direction in the yarn guide section. The yarn no longer needs to be threaded in its yarn longitudinal direction through an opening in the yarn guide section.
In an advantageous further development, the yarn guide section is a yarn guide channel. With the help of the Garnführungskanals the yarn can be guided over a longer range in yarn longitudinal direction. Alternatively, the yarn guide section may also be formed as Garnführungsring. As a result, the yarn return unit can be designed to save space. Alternatively, the yarn return unit can also have a plurality of yarn guide channels or yarn guide rings. If the yarn guide section is a yarn guide channel, then it is furthermore advantageous if the insertion region is designed as an insertion slot oriented in the flow direction of the air flow in order to facilitate the insertion of the yarn.
It is advantageous if the yarn return unit has a cutting section spaced from the yarn guide section, which has a cutting unit by means of which the yarn is separable. With the aid of the cutting unit, a defined yarn end can be formed when, for example, the yarn is taken from a spool in a spinning unit and returned to the spinning unit for the piecing process. In this case, the cutting section may preferably be arranged in a direction transversely to the flow direction of the air flow at a distance from the yarn guide section. As a result, when the yarn return unit is used as intended, the cutting section in the yarn transverse direction is spaced from the yarn guide section. For example, a feeder member that picks up the yarn from the bobbin accumulated on the bobbin for attachment to the delivery unit can form a yarn loop, wherein one of the two legs of the yarn loop is inserted into the cutting section and the other leg of the yarn loop is inserted into the yarn guide section. It is advantageously that of the coil to the delivery unit Running yarn inserted into the yarn guide portion and the running away from the delivery unit yarn in the cutting section.
It is advantageous if the yarn guide section has a circular, elliptical and / or angular cross-section. Additionally or alternatively, the cutting section may also have a circular, elliptical and / or angular cross-section. This allows the yarn to be guided well.
It is also advantageous if the cutting section has an insertion section through which the yarn can be inserted into the cutting section. The insertion portion may be slit like the insertion portion of the yarn guide portion. The insertion section is preferably oriented parallel to the open contour of the insertion region or the insertion slot, but may also extend at an angle thereto. The open contour may for example be a slot-shaped recess through which the yarn can be inserted. As a result, the yarn can be introduced transversely to the yarn longitudinal direction in the cutting section us no longer needs to be threaded in its Garnlängsrichtung in the cutting section.
It is advantageous if the insertion region has at least one insertion surface. Additionally or alternatively, the insertion section may also have at least one insertion surface. With the help of the insertion surface, the yarn can be introduced into the insertion area. Additionally or alternatively, the yarn can be introduced into the insertion section with the aid of the insertion surface. The insertion surface may be inclined, for example, to the insertion region or to the insertion section, so that the yarn slips off the insertion surface into the insertion region or the insertion section.
It is advantageous if the blowing unit is annular and at least partially surrounds the yarn guide section. Thereby, the blowing unit can form the air flow, which entrains the yarn in a central region of the air flow. The blowing unit has a recess, through the yarn is insertable into the blowing unit and into the yarn guide section. Through the recess, the yarn can be introduced into the annular blowing unit. It therefore does not have to be threaded into the blowing unit in the direction of air flow with one end of the yarn.
It is advantageous if the blowing unit is formed by an insert which can be inserted into the yarn return unit. As a result, the blowing unit can be retrofitted. In addition, a suitable use in the blower unit can be set for each application or for each type of yarn.
It is advantageous if the yarn return unit comprises at least one measuring unit by means of which a presence of the yarn in the yarn return unit can be detected. In this case, it can be determined, for example, whether the yarn is arranged in the yarn guide section and / or in the cutting section. The measuring unit may for example comprise a light barrier, which can determine whether the yarn is arranged in the yarn guide section and / or in the cutting section. Additionally or alternatively, yarn properties can also be determined with the aid of the measuring unit. The measuring unit may, for example, comprise a microwave sensor by means of which, for example, a yarn thickness can be measured, from which it can be deduced that the yarn has a quality.
It is advantageous if the yarn return unit is connected to a traversing device for traversing the yarn in relation to a take-off roller pair of the workstation. As a result, the yarn return unit can be mitchangiert so that it does not hinder the iridescent yarn. In addition, no additional thread guide element between the yarn return unit and the traversing device and / or an equally iridescent measuring unit is thereby required. In addition, a very compact unit can be created by the combination of the yarn return unit with the traversing device and possibly also the measuring unit, which can be arranged to save space on the textile machine.
It is also proposed a workstation of a textile machine with a yarn return unit for returning a yarn into a delivery unit during a piecing process. The delivery unit can be, for example, a spinning station in an open-end spinning machine, so that the yarn can be returned to the spinning station for re-spinning.
According to the invention, the yarn return unit is designed according to at least one feature of the preceding description.
In an advantageous development of the invention, the workstation has a traversing device for traversing the yarn in relation to a take-off roller pair of the workstation. Further, the yarn return unit is connected to the traversing device, so that the yarn returning unit can be mitchangiert. With the help of the traversing device, the yarn can be moved laterally back and forth, thereby reducing, for example, wear of a trailing roller pair downstream of the traversing device. If the yarn return unit travels with the traversing device, the yarn return unit does not hinder the traversing movement of the yarn.
It is advantageous if the workstation has a feeder element movably arranged at the workstation, by means of which the yarn can be picked up and inserted into the yarn guide section of the yarn return unit. The feeder element may for example be a pivotable arm arranged at the work station, which receives the yarn from a spool, on which the yarn has accumulated in the event of a yarn break, with an eyelet or yarn guide arranged on the arm. By means of a feed movement, in particular a pivoting, of the feeder element, the yarn end can be brought to the delivery unit for re-setting. As a result, a manual feeding of the yarn to the delivery unit can be saved.
In order to be able to suck the yarn into the delivery unit, the delivery unit can have an injector nozzle. With the help of the injector nozzle, for example, a negative pressure can be generated, so that the yarn can be sucked into the injector nozzle. Alternatively, the injector nozzle can also generate a flow which blows the yarn or a free yarn end in the direction of the delivery unit.
