Description

The invention relates to a stackable chair with a chair frame, a seat attached to it and a backrest, the chair frame having a side part suitable for stacking two chairs on each side of the chair, each side part each having a front and a rear chair leg, with at At least one side part of a cross strut is arranged as a stacking aid.

Stackable chairs are often used as row chairs for hall seating. These chairs are preferably equipped with connecting elements in order to mechanically detachably connect adjacent chairs. Such chairs are called row chairs.

Out FR 1 333 136 A A stackable row chair of this type is known, this chair having four chair legs which are attached at their upper end to a frame which supports a seat, this frame being adjacent to two legs lying in the same plane from front to back, a receiving area for Interlocking and holding bounded by two legs of an adjacent chair, which are in the opposite plane when viewed from front to back. The front and rear legs of one side of the chair are preferably formed in one piece and connected to one another by an upper arch-shaped armrest area. The armrest areas and the legs are designed so that two or more chairs can be stacked on top of each other. When stacked on top of each other, the corresponding armrest areas and chair legs are on top of each other. A stack formed in this way is relatively unstable, and the surface of the armrest areas and the Stacking and unstacking can easily damage chair legs, especially if they are made of metal with a surface coating.

A stackable chair with the features of the preamble of claim 1 is from EP 1 949 819 A known. This chair has between the two chair legs of each side part a functional bar with a first connecting element on one side of the chair and a second connecting element that fits the first connecting element in terms of shape on the other side of the chair, the functional bar in each case as a U-shaped, laterally projecting frame stack support is formed with an integrated laterally projecting connecting element. This function bar is used on the one hand to mechanically connect adjacent chairs and on the other hand as a stacking aid. When stacked on top of each other, the upper chair with a front and rear frame strut, which are located directly below the seat and are arranged transversely and above the function bars, rests on the function bars. The distance between the frame struts and the functional strips is selected so that the other frame elements of two stacked chairs are not in contact when stacked on top of each other. With regard to the stack stability, this chair is also in need of improvement, in addition, the production of the specially designed functional strips is complex and the visual appearance of the latter takes some getting used to.

US 2 952 300 A1 discloses a stackable chair according to the preamble of claim 1 of the present application. The object of the invention is to further develop a stackable chair in such a way that simple but stable stacking of a plurality of chairs is ensured with as little effort as possible.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a chair of the type mentioned in the introduction that above the cross strut there is an obliquely downward and laterally outward insertion bevel on which the cross strut of the upper chair is at least partially displaceable downwards when stacked.

When two chairs are stacked on top of each other, the cross strut of the upper chair comes in contact with the lead-in chamfer of the lower chair and is then securely guided downward along the lead-in chamfer of the lower chair when the upper chair is lowered further. This ensures a defined system, so that a stable stack of chairs is created.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, it is provided that the insertion bevel is formed by a U-shaped element, the U-legs of which are directed obliquely downwards and laterally outwards in regions adjacent to the U-web parallel to the cross strut. As a result, the insertion bevel can be provided in a particularly simple, material-saving and visually unobtrusive manner.

It is preferably provided that the U-shaped element consists of a bent wire. This enables particularly simple and inexpensive production.

It is advantageously provided that the U-shaped element is attached with its free ends below the seat on the chair frame.

In principle, it can be provided that both side parts of the chair have a cross strut and above the cross strut an insertion bevel.

In a preferred embodiment, however, it is provided that at least one downward spacer is provided on the other side part, which lies on the side part of the lower chair when stacked one above the other. The spacer is of course dimensioned such that the upper chair rests almost horizontally on the chair below it.

In terms of design, it is preferably provided that each side part has a crossbar on the upper side for connecting the front and rear chair legs.

It is particularly preferably provided that the front chair leg, the crossbar and the rear chair leg of each side part are made in one piece are. In this way, the respective side part can be produced particularly easily, for example by bending a tube.

In this embodiment, it is preferably provided that the at least one spacer is arranged on the underside of the crossbar.

In order to enable stacking on top of one another in a simple manner, it is provided that the distance between the front and rear chair legs of each side part increases from top to bottom.

Finally, it is very particularly preferably provided that the chair can be releasably connected to another chair on both sides to form a row of chairs. For this purpose, the chair frame can be designed approximately as it is made out FR 1 333 136 A is known.

A stackable chair is generally designated 1 in the drawings. This chair 1 has a chair frame with two side parts 2, 3, the two side parts 2, 3 being connected to one another, for example welded or screwed, via a front seat stay 4 and a rear seat stay 5. On the chair frame, in the exemplary embodiment on the two seat stays 4 and 5, a seat 6 is fastened with a backrest 7. The seat 6 and the backrest 7 are preferably formed in one piece.

Each side part 2, 3 has a front chair leg 8, 9 and a rear chair leg 10, 11. The two side parts 2, 3 are recognizably designed in such a way that they allow two identical chairs 1 to be stacked one on top of the other. For this purpose, the chair legs 8, 10 and 9, 11 are arranged obliquely outwards from top to bottom, i.e. the distance between the front leg 8 and 9 and the associated rear leg 10 and 11 increases from top to bottom. Each side part 2, 3 has a cross piece 12, 13 on the upper side for connecting the front and rear chair legs 8, 10 and 9, 11, respectively. The front chair leg 8, the crossbar 12 and the rear chair leg 10 of the side part 2 and the front chair leg 9, the crossbar 13 and the rear chair leg 11 of the side part 3 are each formed in one piece. This can preferably be done by bending a tube.

It is essential for the chair 1 that a cross strut 14 is arranged at least on the side part 3 as a stacking aid. The cross strut 14 is arranged approximately horizontally in the upper region between the front chair leg 9 and the rear chair leg 11 of the side part 3, and preferably in such a way that it protrudes slightly inwards relative to the two chair legs 9, 11. Above the cross strut 14 there is an obliquely downward and laterally outward insertion bevel on which the cross strut 14 of an upper chair can be displaced downwards at least in regions in a manner described in more detail below. This insertion bevel is preferably formed by a U-shaped element 15, the U legs 16, 17 of which, adjacent to the U-web 18 parallel to the cross strut 14, extend obliquely downwards and laterally outwards in regions. The inclination of the insertion slope is in a range between 30 ° and 60 °. The U-shaped element 15 preferably consists of a bent wire and its free ends are preferably attached to the chair frame below the seat 6, as is best Fig. 1a can be seen.

The side part 2 can fundamentally be constructed in exactly the same way as the side part 3, that is to say also have a cross strut and an insertion slope above it. However, it is preferably provided that at least one spacer 19 directed downwards is arranged on the side part 2. This spacer 19 is designed like a post and is preferably arranged approximately centrally on the cross strut 12.

The stacking of two chairs is in the Figures 6 to 9 shown. An upper chair is designated 1A, which is to be stacked on a lower chair 1B located below.

When a chair 1A is stacked on a chair 1B from above, the two chairs 1A and 1B are initially in a position according to when stacked one above the other Fig. 6 , In this position, the spacer 19 of the upper chair 1A is not yet in contact with the crossbar 12 of the lower chair 1B and the cross strut 14 of the upper chair 1A is still above the U-shaped element 15 serving as an insertion bevel.

If the upper chair 1A is now lowered further onto the lower chair 1B, the cross strut 14 of the upper chair 1A comes into contact with the beveled U-legs 16, 17 and when it is lowered further, the cross strut 14 slides upper chair 1A along the U-legs 16, 17 downwards and laterally outwards until the spacer 19 of the upper chair 1A rests on the crossbar 12 of the side part 2 of the lower chair 1B. The height of the spacer 19 and the geometrical arrangement and inclination of the beveled U-legs 16, 17 are of course designed such that the upper chair 1A is in an approximately horizontal orientation in the maximally lowered position of the upper chair 1A.

If both side parts 2 and 3 have insertion bevels and no spacer, the stacking process proceeds in principle accordingly, which is obvious to a person skilled in the art.

The chair 1 is preferably designed as a row chair, ie designed so that it can be mechanically detachably connected to adjacent chairs 1 of the same type (possibly also with armrests) in order to form a stable, immovable row of chairs, in particular for the seating in the room. This is how best to look Fig. 3 emerges, a free space 20, 21 is provided between the edges of the seat 6 and the two side parts 2, 3. For this purpose, the front seat strut 4 and the rear seat strut 5 are longer than the width of the seat surface 6. In addition, the ends 4a, 4b of the front seat strut 4 and the ends 5a, 5b of the rear seat strut 5 are offset from one another or are complementary arc-shaped designed so that a chair 1 with its right side part 3 can be threaded from above into the free space 20 of an adjacent chair 1.
