Definitions
- the present invention relates to a microwave oven with an inner wall enclosing a cooking space in a microwave-tight manner, which is formed from a plurality of stationary wall sections and a movable closure element, the closure element of the microwave oven forming the bottom or the lid of the microwave oven, and with at least one magnetron for generating microwave radiation, which is aligned with the cooking space by means of at least one radiation channel, a first radiation channel running in stationary wall sections and forming at its end a first radiation outlet opposite the movable closure element.
- Such a microwave oven is already out of the US 2,956,144 A previously known.
- This document discloses an early microwave oven, which provides a radiation protection cover and a beam path permanently installed underneath it, which ends under a radiation-permeable shelf for a food to be heated.
- the radiation protection cover is articulated on the footprint or is suspended and lowered over it.
- microwave oven is from, for example DE 10 2009 040 669 A1 known.
- the microwave oven described there is assigned two magnetrons which generate microwave radiation and this microwave radiation Guide into a cooking space via radiation channels.
- the cooking space has lateral openings in its microwave-proof jacket through which the radiation can penetrate into the cooking space.
- Such microwave ovens are used, for example, in vending machines that offer heated food for sale.
- the essential properties of these vending machines are on the one hand a diverse range and on the other hand a quick delivery of the goods to the waiting customer. From the provider's point of view, such an automat should also be able to be set up in a space-saving manner.
- the closure element as in the WO 2014/154208 A1 forms the bottom of the microwave oven and attach the radiation outlets of the magnetrons to the side. Due to the usual shape of the portion container, the one from the DE 10 2009 040 669 A1 known type of energy coupling but not optimal.
- the portion containers like the usual plates, are flat and have a low overall height. Therefore, the energy coming from the magnetrons and coupled into the cooking space via the radiation outlets hits the smaller outer surfaces of the product containers. It would be more advantageous to couple the energy in via the large cover and base areas.
- the closure element to which a magnetron cannot easily be attached, since otherwise the removal arm would become too bulky to move it through the vending machine, moreover at an appropriate speed.
- the present invention is based on the object of improving the coupling of energy into a product container standing around the cooking space of a microwave oven when the closure element of the microwave oven forms the base or the lid of the microwave oven.
- a microwave oven has a cooking space which is enclosed by a microwave-tight inner wall.
- This essentially consists of stationary, i.e. immovable wall sections.
- an access opening is formed by a movable closure element.
- at least one magnetron is provided, which generates microwave radiation and emits it into a radiation channel which opens into the cooking chamber of the microwave oven.
- the microwave radiation is guided in two separate radiation channels and a first radiation outlet is located opposite the movable closure element, that is to say on the access opening of the microwave oven.
- a second radiation outlet is assigned to the closure element itself and is therefore opposite the first radiation outlet when the microwave oven is closed.
- the first radiation channel is guided completely in the fixed wall sections of the microwave oven, while the second radiation channel starts in the fixed wall sections, but continues after a microwave-tight transition in the closure element itself and forms a radiation outlet there.
- a single magnetron can be provided, which either feeds a common beam channel or directly feeds two separate beam channels. If there is a common radiation channel, this will bifurcate in its course into a first and a second radiation channel, so that the two radiation channels continue as separate radiation channels up to their respective radiation outlets.
- the third and preferred solution is to use two magnetrons, each of which feeds only one of the two beam channels. This then also makes it possible to arrange the magnetrons in the housing of the microwave oven on different sides of the cooking space, so that the space can be optimally used and the overall arrangement is as compact as possible. This is particularly the case when the magnetrons are arranged on adjacent circumferential walls, so that one is spread out in width and one in depth.
- the closure element on its side facing the cooking space in the closed state can be assigned a container into which a portion container is conveyed from the product store and with which the portion container is inserted the cooking space of the microwave oven is placed.
- the container can preferably be made of a microwave-permeable material in order not to impair the heating of the portion container and have a continuous wall, have openings or be designed as a basket, for example.
- the container is open at least on one side, via which the portion container is fed into the container.
- An opening can also be provided on the opposite side in order to convey the container to a product outlet via this side.
- the opposite side can also be provided with a flap via an opening mechanism, which can be opened either by motor or by a spring arrangement by applying force.
- a turntable can be assigned to this on its container wall opposite the closure element, so that in the closed state and when the energy supply is switched on, the portion container rotates slowly in the cooking space and the energy coupling is made as uniform as possible.
- the rotation can be caused on the one hand by a motor directly assigned to the container, but preferably part of the turntable passes through the container wall and forms at least one driver element on the side facing away from the container interior, which engages in a force transmission means of a drive in the closed state.
- the drive can then be installed in the fixed wall sections that are closest to the container in the closed state.
- the closure element which is designed as the base or lid of the microwave oven, can be placed in different ways on the access opening of the microwave oven. First of all, it is possible to move the closure element between an open and a closed position by means of an elevator by means of a purely linear lifting movement. In addition, the closure element can also be pivoted by means of a swivel joint in order to enable and simplify the inclusion of a portion container in the container from different directions. Alternatively, the closure element can also be hinged to one of the stationary wall sections and thus form a conventional door leaf.
- FIG 1 shows a microwave oven 1, as used in a vending machine.
- the microwave oven 1 encloses a cooking space 3, which can be closed with a closure element 6 to form a microwave-tight space.
- the closure element 6 is suspended on a carriage 16 which can be moved back and forth on a traverse.
- the traverse forms an elevator 15 which can lift the closure element 6 upwards from a closed position in contact with the microwave oven 1.
- the closure element therefore forms a lid of the microwave oven 1.
- a force transmission means 14 which can execute a rotary movement.
- FIG. 2 shows the same situation in a side plan view, in which the interior of the cooking space 3 is now covered.
- the closure element 6 is assigned a container 12 on its side facing the cooking chamber 3, into which a portion container 2 can be introduced from the left-hand side in the image through a receiving funnel indicated there.
- the portion container 2 can be introduced into the container 12, for example by falling or sliding, for which purpose it can be inclined via a swivel joint 17 when the closure element 6 is lifted out of the closed position by means of the elevator 15.
- a turntable 13 extends through the container bottom and forms driver elements on the outside, which can interact with the force transmission means 14 for force transmission. This allows the turntable 13 in the container 12 can be rotated with a portion container 2 accommodated therein without a motor having to be attached directly to the closure element 6 or its container 12.
- FIG. 3 now shows a cross section through in the Figures 1 and 2nd shown situation.
- the closure element 6 is shown in the open position, with a portion container 2 already inserted into the interior of the container 12.
- the cooking space 3 of the microwave oven 1 is formed from a plurality of stationary wall sections 5, which together form an inner wall 4 of the Form the cooking space 3, which is only open at the top.
- a second radiation channel 9 also runs in the fixed wall sections 5 and meets a transition 11 at the border to the cooking space 3, which is microwave-tightly brought into engagement with a second part of the second radiation channel 9 arranged on the closure element 6 as soon as that Shutter element 6 has been brought into its closed position with respect to the microwave oven.
- Figure 5 now shows the situation in cross section, in which the container 12 now more or less fills the entire cooking space 3, so that the portion container 2 is arranged centrally in the cooking space 3.
- the first radiation outlet 8 of the first radiation channel 7 is located directly below the portion container 2
- the second radiation outlet 10 of the second radiation channel 9 is located directly above the portion container 2.
- This now begins at a second magnetron which is not shown in the image, initially runs through the fixed wall sections 5 of the microwave oven 1 and continues after a microwave-tight transition 11 in the closure element 6, where it forms the said second radiation outlet 10.
- the portion container 2 can be irradiated on its main surfaces while it lies flat on the bottom of the cooking space 3.
- the energy coupling is greatest in this way and the heating is therefore the most effective.
- Figure 6 finally illustrates the different courses of the radiation channels 7 and 9. Because they are brought in from different directions, the magnetrons can be distributed around the microwave oven 1, so that they can be accommodated as space-saving as possible.
- a microwave oven is thus described above which, on the one hand, works very effectively by coupling the energy from above and below into the portion container accommodated therein, but on the other hand also enables the closure element to be advantageously designed as a lid or bottom. Because part of a radiation channel is guided in the closure element, uniform heating and charging of the microwave oven from above or from below can be achieved in the same way.
Description
The present invention relates to a microwave oven with an inner wall enclosing a cooking space in a microwave-tight manner, which is formed from a plurality of stationary wall sections and a movable closure element, the closure element of the microwave oven forming the bottom or the lid of the microwave oven, and with at least one magnetron for generating microwave radiation, which is aligned with the cooking space by means of at least one radiation channel, a first radiation channel running in stationary wall sections and forming at its end a first radiation outlet opposite the movable closure element.

Such microwave ovens are used, for example, in vending machines that offer heated food for sale. The essential properties of these vending machines are on the one hand a diverse range and on the other hand a quick delivery of the goods to the waiting customer. From the provider's point of view, such an automat should also be able to be set up in a space-saving manner.
These three requirements are difficult to match, because with a large product range within a vending machine, a major logistical challenge is to quickly get the goods from the product warehouse into the microwave oven and from there to the customer. With a frontal loading as shown in the cited document, this takes the longest due to the required translational movement and is therefore also very space-consuming.

Against this background, the present invention is based on the object of improving the coupling of energy into a product container standing around the cooking space of a microwave oven when the closure element of the microwave oven forms the base or the lid of the microwave oven.
This object is achieved by a microwave oven according to the features of
According to the invention, it is provided that a microwave oven has a cooking space which is enclosed by a microwave-tight inner wall. This essentially consists of stationary, i.e. immovable wall sections. In contrast, an access opening is formed by a movable closure element. As in the prior art, at least one magnetron is provided, which generates microwave radiation and emits it into a radiation channel which opens into the cooking chamber of the microwave oven. However, it is specifically provided here that the microwave radiation is guided in two separate radiation channels and a first radiation outlet is located opposite the movable closure element, that is to say on the access opening of the microwave oven. A second radiation outlet is assigned to the closure element itself and is therefore opposite the first radiation outlet when the microwave oven is closed.
This is achieved in that the first radiation channel is guided completely in the fixed wall sections of the microwave oven, while the second radiation channel starts in the fixed wall sections, but continues after a microwave-tight transition in the closure element itself and forms a radiation outlet there.
In this way, it is possible to act on the cooking space from above and below even if the floor and / or ceiling are formed by a releasable closure element.
Various configurations of the magnetrons can thus be implemented. First of all, a single magnetron can be provided, which either feeds a common beam channel or directly feeds two separate beam channels. If there is a common radiation channel, this will bifurcate in its course into a first and a second radiation channel, so that the two radiation channels continue as separate radiation channels up to their respective radiation outlets.
The third and preferred solution is to use two magnetrons, each of which feeds only one of the two beam channels.
In particular, in the case that it is a microwave oven that is used in a vending machine, the closure element on its side facing the cooking space in the closed state can be assigned a container into which a portion container is conveyed from the product store and with which the portion container is inserted the cooking space of the microwave oven is placed. In this context, the container can preferably be made of a microwave-permeable material in order not to impair the heating of the portion container and have a continuous wall, have openings or be designed as a basket, for example.
The container is open at least on one side, via which the portion container is fed into the container. An opening can also be provided on the opposite side in order to convey the container to a product outlet via this side. In particular, the opposite side can also be provided with a flap via an opening mechanism, which can be opened either by motor or by a spring arrangement by applying force.
In a further development of such a container, a turntable can be assigned to this on its container wall opposite the closure element, so that in the closed state and when the energy supply is switched on, the portion container rotates slowly in the cooking space and the energy coupling is made as uniform as possible. The rotation can be caused on the one hand by a motor directly assigned to the container, but preferably part of the turntable passes through the container wall and forms at least one driver element on the side facing away from the container interior, which engages in a force transmission means of a drive in the closed state. The drive can then be installed in the fixed wall sections that are closest to the container in the closed state.
The closure element, which is designed as the base or lid of the microwave oven, can be placed in different ways on the access opening of the microwave oven.
