Description

The invention relates to a gutter for dewatering, for example, a road surface according to the preamble of claim 1.

With drainage channels of this type, there is an increasing demand that the channel strand as a whole is tight. This means that the connections between the individual channel elements must be tight. For this purpose, as for example in the DE 41 28 068 A1 or the DE 20 2009 017 312 U1 is shown, seals inserted or cast between adjacent channel elements. These seals require the end faces of adjacent channels to be firmly seated against one another.

From the EP 0 542 701 A1 a drainage channel is known, in which the individual channel sections are connected to each other by a locking coupling. For example, a rib of a first channel section engages in a groove of a second channel section. Glue is placed in the groove to reinforce the connection.

There is also a drainage channel from the US 5 718 537 A known, in which the individual channel elements each have a projection and a recess. To connect the channel elements, the projection of one element engages in the recess of the other element in the longitudinal direction of the drainage channel.

When seals are inserted, the retaining grooves for the seals follow the cross-sectional profile of the interior of the channel in the known channels. With the above-mentioned channels, this is not a major problem, since relatively large radii of curvature are provided following the interior profiles. But then when - like this often to improve the hydraulic properties is made - the cross-sectional profile is more V-shaped than semi-circular, the seals are excessively curved, which leads to leaks and breaks in prolonged use.

The invention is based on the object of demonstrating a channel of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that increased tightness is ensured while at the same time improved layability and durability.

This object is achieved by a gutter according to claim 1.

According to the invention, this task is performed by a drainage channel, e.g. a road surface comprising a first and a second end, the first end of a first channel being connectable to the second end of a second channel in a longitudinal axis of the channels and an elastic seal being provided on a holding surface of the channel to seal the connection, the first end of the channel has the holding surface and wherein a sole of the channel has a cross-sectional profile that deviates from a semicircular shape, solved in that the holding surface has a cross-sectional profile when viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis, which differs from that of the sole in that a maximum radius of curvature is ensured at every point of the holding surface and thus of the seal.

An important point of the invention is therefore that the seal does not follow the contour of the edge to be sealed, as is customary, but rather a completely unique shape is selected which improves the durability and tightness of the overall arrangement.

According to the invention, the cross-sectional profile of the holding surface - and thus the shape of the curvature of the seal - is essentially semicircular. Such a steady course of curvature entails the minimal strain during bending.

The holding surface preferably has a holding slot for receiving a fastening leg of the seal, the holding slot preferably being provided on an inner side of the holding surface in the longitudinal direction of the channel. This ensures a secure hold of the seal in a simple manner.

A sealing strip is preferably provided on the second end of the channel opposite the holding surface for a sealing connection with the seal of a further channel. In this case, the sealing strip and the seal are preferably in sealing engagement in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the gutter, which means that, according to the present invention, the end faces need not sit together with millimeter precision, as is necessary in the prior art.

The channel preferably has a contact surface for contacting the seal in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the channel. This can be formed on the sealing strip.

The sealing strip and the seal are preferably so deep in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the channel that tilting of two adjoining channels is possible with a sealing connection of the sealing strip to the seal. This allows channels to run in (light) arches or in some other way according to the surface contours.

The sealing strip preferably has the abovementioned contact surface on an inwardly facing surface, which comes into sealing engagement with the seal.

In the following description, the same reference numbers are used for the same and equivalent parts.
From the perspective representation of the embodiment shown here according to the Fig. 1-3 shows that the channel 10 has side walls 11, 12 and a bottom 13 and end walls 14 and 15. The reference number 16 denotes the interior or the sole of the channel 10. At a first end 17, a seal 30 is connected to the channel 10, specifically via a fastening leg 31 which is seated in a corresponding slot in the channel 10, which is described in more detail below. The seal 30 has an outer sealing lip 32 and an inner sealing lip 33. It is also possible to dispense with the sealing lip 32, so that the base body of the seal comes into contact with the contact surface 41.

At a second end 18, a sealing strip 40 is provided, which has an inwardly directed contact surface 41. If two channels of the type shown here are put together in such a way that the first end 17 of a first channel 10 is connected to a second end 18 of a second channel, the outer sealing lip 32 comes into sealing connection with the contact surface 41 of the sealing strip 40, as is the case here hereinafter based on the Fig. 4-6 is explained in more detail.

In Fig. 4 a first end 17 of a channel 10 is shown in a horizontal section. It can be seen from this that the end 17 has a protruding holding surface 20 and a slot 21 which extends the holding surface in the longitudinal direction of the channel 10 Fig. 5 The seal 30 shown has a fastening leg 31 with toothed lips which fits into the slot 21 is insertable and firmly jammed there. The inner sealing lip 33 then sits firmly on the holding surface 20, while the outer sealing lip 32 protrudes outwards. If you now place two channels 10, 10 'next to each other, you get - as in Fig. 6 shown - a first end 17 'of the channel 10' with the second end 18 of the channel 10 in a sealing connection. Because the sealing connection does not rely on the end walls 14 and 15 of successive channels being pressed against one another, but rather the sealing takes place, so to speak, in a radial direction, that is to say in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the channels, successive channels do not necessarily have to meet tightly or closely. You can have some play so that you can tilt the successive channels against each other without reducing the sealing effect.

In the Fig. 7-9 the end walls 14, 15 and the ends 17, 18 of a channel are shown side by side to illustrate that the profile of the sole 16 of the channel 10 deviates from the profile of the seal 30 or the sealing strip 40. While the profile of the sole 16 of the channel 10 is approximately V-shaped with a very small radius of curvature R1, the profile of the seal 30 or the sealing strip 40 is uniform in its area of curvature, that is to say curved along a semicircle with a much larger radius of curvature R 2 . This ensures that, on the one hand, a relatively high flow rate is ensured in the channel 10 even with small amounts of water, as a result of which contaminants are transported in an improved manner, but on the other hand the seal 30 runs with the lowest curvature load or the largest radius of curvature, which corresponds to the overall size of the channel 10 is even possible. On the one hand, this means that the seal is loaded less than usual, but on the other hand it ensures good hydraulic performance.

At this point it should be noted that the seal 30 and the sealing strip 40 can also be arranged upside down, that is to say the seal 30 points inwards and the sealing strip 40 with its contact surface 41 points outwards. Another type of fastening of the seal 30 to the holding surface 20 is also possible.
