Definitions
- the invention relates to a container for hermetically sealed storage of liquid, pasty and / or solid products, in particular food, consisting of a unilaterally open product container and with the product container in particular via a bead, an adhesive bond, a welded joint, or the like airtight connected tear-open ,
- hermetically sealed containers are used to package, for example, paints, inks and other pasty products, to ensure that their existing after production properties remain unchanged over a long time and thus also correspondingly long storage times can be ensured with minimal loss of quality.
- hermetically sealed containers such as cans, provided with a tear-open, ie with a metallic lid with incorporated scribe line and a riveted to the lid tear tab, so have such, inexpensive to produce containers in particular the advantage that no closure elements survive beyond the outer contour of the container and thus the demands for stackability and thus cheaper transport and storage options can be met.
- the disadvantage here is, above all, that a container once opened via the tear-open lid is not resealable and thus the product located in the container must be consumed immediately or transferred into a closable container.
- a particular disadvantage is added in the case of packaged foodstuffs in metallic containers, and this disadvantage is that in the opening process, i. then, if the existing scoring or weakening line between the respective opening portion and the lid surface is torn or severed, unavoidably tiny metal particles are released from the lid material and can enter the can or the packaged product. These tiny metallic chips or metal particles are of health concern when they enter the human body along with the food.
- the Aufr dichlorideckel is resealable and consists of a composite material in the form of a connected via a bonding layer with a plastic film sheet metal layer, in particular aluminum or tinplate, wherein the sheet metal layer and the lacquer layer of the perimeter of the respectively provided opening or Aufrpion Schemes are weakened accordingly to form a tear notch, which is also lid outside adjacent to the tear notch and outside the opening portion on the fixed lid surface a sealing frame is secured by openings, the grooves for sealing recording having sealing and locking ribs, and wherein the cover part on the one hand provided with a tear-open and on the other hand this tear-open member is connected diametrically opposite one another via a pivot bearing area fixed to the located outside of the swing-lid part cover surface.
- the lid part is provided on the lid outside with a molded circumferential stiffening and coupling frame, which comprises with the grooves of the sealing frame
- Object of the present invention is to provide a container of the type described above with all such containers own advantages, but in particular to achieve that the opening of the lid is made possible with relatively less effort and ease of use that disturbing deformations of the swung Cover area are avoided as well as injury due to sharp metal edges, and that especially the occurrence and release of metallic microparticles is excluded during the opening process.
- This solution further comprises the advantage that the swing-open metallic lid area is firmly connected on its entire circumference with a stiffening and coupling frame and thus a largely stable, swiveling cover part is created, which after the first occurred Opening again can be pressed into the sealing frame and with this to form a tight coupling ensures a secure closure of the container.
- the micro-gap closely adjacent weakening or indentation of the plastic film must not be the same or not circumferentially the same.
- the notch depth increases and thus the opening be relieved.
- This area of increased notch depth is preferably followed by a short area of reduced notch depth, which results in a perceptible increase in the opening resistance and thus a brief braking of the opening process.
- the indentation depth can be increased and preferably correspond to the initial indentation depth.
- an existing overpressure is degraded in a simple and safe manner in the initial phase of the respective opening operation, whereupon, after overcoming a short-term inhibition, the further opening process can be carried out under normal pressure and undesired leakage of liquid through the sealing lip arrangement is prevented.
- the container may have a round, oval or polygonal cross-sectional shape, wherein the course of the micro-gap is adapted in this case at least in part to the respective cross-sectional shape.
- the sealing frame intended for receiving the cover part at least largely follows the course of the connection region between the product container and the lid, which is tantamount to the fact that in these cases the circumferential contour of the swing-open lid part is approximately matched to the cross-sectional shape of the container.
- the plastic film component is designed as a molded part which is adapted to the cover bottom contour and has molded positioning elements. In this way, the relative position of plastic film and sheet metal layer can always be easily and accurately specified and ensured.
- the film component of the composite extends into the bead and acts in the flare as a sealing material and corrosion protection, which leads to further simplification of the structure of cans.
- the pivot bearing area has an integrated, bistable tilt spring section. This holds the lid, consisting of the metallic opening area, the stiffening and coupling frame attached thereto and the tear-open, when exceeded by about 90 ° to more than 130 ° open, so that the interior of the respective container is optimally accessible. When falling below approx. 90 °, the lid snaps back to an opening angle of less than 30 °. From this open position, the cover part can be pressed again in the sealing closed position. This process can be repeated reversibly in both directions.
- the stiffening and coupling frame preferably has on its entire outer circumference a sealing skirt which extends up to the stationary cover surface and which is in particular materially bonded to the stationary cover surface via the adhesive lacquer layer.
- the top view Fig. 1 shows as a non-limiting embodiment of the invention, a metallic fish can, which is hermetically sealed and can be opened via a tear-open lid 2.
- an opening portion is provided in the can lid, which can be opened and swung over in detail yet to be described means of a tearing member 17, via a pivoting portion 18, the fixed part 19 is attached to the can lid.
- a Kippfederabêt 21 is provided, which allows to keep the swung-lid in a stable opening position.
- the can lid according to the invention preferably consists of a composite material whose structure is enlarged schematically and greatly Fig. 2 is shown.
- the main component of the can lid consists of a suitably shaped sheet metal layer 5, preferably made of aluminum or tinplate, and this sheet metal layer is provided on both sides with an adhesive layer 7, which serves as a primer and allows a high-strength and durable, cohesive connection between metal, especially aluminum or tinplate, and to ensure the plastic, preferably made of polypropylene plastic film 6, on the underside of the lid, ie provided on the inside of the can and suitable for food.
- the mutual connection of the individual components is preferably carried out by induction in a so-called hot-sealing process or by plastic welding.
- a practically significant advantage of this composite material is that it enables this composite material to reduce the material thickness of the sheet metal layer, in particular the aluminum or tinplate layer, without sacrificing the required strength values, even a slight reduction in sheet thickness enabling economically significant material savings when takes into account the large number of units needed and manufactured in such packaging.
- Fig. 3 shows a section along the line AA in Fig. 1 , wherein in this sectional view the connection of the lid with the respective product container 1 is indicated schematically.
- the product container 1 is preferably made of metal, but may also consist of other materials, in particular plastic, in which case the respectively suitable connection technique, eg adhesive bonding, is used in order to hermetically seal the container 1 with the can lid 2.
- Fig. 4 shows greatly enlarged the area D after Fig. 3 that is, the area where the tearing member 17 is attached to the swing-up lid member, and at the outer edge thereof, so that when pulling up the lid member preferably results in a lever effect that favors the opening of the lid part.
- the can lid consists of the in Fig. 2 schematically shown composite material, wherein in Fig. 4 for reasons of simplicity, only the sheet metal layer 5 and consisting of a plastic molding plastic film 6 are shown.
- the plastic film 6 corresponds in shape part contour of the contour of the underside of the sheet metal cover part 5 and preferably extends into the crimping area, where it can simultaneously act as a seal and corrosion protection.
- cover portion 10 is provided, which is not limited by a material weakening, but rather by a so-called micro-gap 8 according to the invention.
- This circumferential micro-gap 8 is preferably formed by punching out the cover region 10 from the sheet material and then pushing it back into the opening, or in the further course of the production process, so that once again there is a flat metal surface.
- the punching process is preferably designed in such a way that the punched-out part results in a circumferential contour, which, viewed over the material thickness, consists of a smooth-cut section and of itself subsequent bevel cut portion, wherein the smooth cut portion preferably extends over less than 50% of the material thickness.
- micro-gap 8 In the area of the micro-gap 8, there is thus a clamping fixture between the re-nested sheet-metal parts, so that no metal separation has to take place the first time the container is opened, and thus no formation of metallic microparticles occurs.
- Such occurrence of microparticles, especially microparticles of aluminum, can not be prevented in conventional can lids with closed tear lines.
- the micro-gap 8 which is preferably of a straight, i. is formed underneath line, according to the invention is underside, i. Covered inside covered by the plastic film 6 and thus sealed.
- the plastic film has the micro gap 8 adjacent a more or less deep notch 9, which ensures that only a comparatively small force is required to open the lid, wherein the total force required for the opening is also predetermined by the seal pairing, in cooperation of sealing frame 14 and stiffening and coupling frame 11 is realized.
- the sealing frame 14 made of plastic material, e.g. Polypropylene encloses the opening portion 10 and is, preferably in a recess of the sheet metal layer 5, connected via the already mentioned adhesive layer firmly with the metallic lid material.
- the sealing frame has two by a central web 20 separate receiving grooves 15, 16 for a locking rib 12 and a sealing rib 13, which are provided on the stiffening and coupling frame 11.
- This also made of plastic material, preferably polypropylene, existing stiffening and coupling frame 11 is analogous to the sealing frame 14 fixedly connected to the metallic lid, but not with the stationary cover part, but Rather, the hinged lid portion 10.
- the hinged lid part is thus formed by the limited by the micro gap metallic cover area and the edge-mounted stiffening and coupling frame 11, which gives the lid part the desired surface stability and prevents unwanted deformation of the cover part.
- the tear-open member 17 has a fixing element 22 which extends toward the cover part and is fixed there, so that the integrity of the respective packaging can be seen or checked on the basis of this connection.
- Fig. 5 shows an enlarged view of the detail area D after Fig. 3 that is, the pivotal area 18 diametrically opposed to the tearing member 17 in conjunction with sealing frame 14 and stiffening and coupling frame 11, which are in the closed state of the can lid in the manner shown engaged with each other and form a tight snap-locking connection.
- the rib 13 received in the receiving groove 16 and the rib 12 received in the receiving groove 15 are different, ie there are separate functions, whereby an optimization of the interaction of sealing frame 14 and stiffening and coupling frame 11 is made possible.
- the sealing rib 13 forms with the receiving groove 16, a sealing surface pairing 23, which can be adjusted by the predetermined inclination of the cooperating sealing surfaces of the opening resistance, ie it can be selected an inclined surface pairing, which ensures that on the one hand the respective Internal pressure is withstood and on the other hand, the opening process is not too difficult.
- the locking rib 12 and the associated receiving groove 15 also have short, mutually cooperating inclined surfaces, on the one hand ensure the Rastverschnappung, on the other hand, but also allow a small free relative movement to each other. This free mobility can be exploited to allow a small initial opening of the can lid, in which a possible internal pressure is reduced, without the lid is already open so far that in a disturbing way liquid could escape.
- the stiffening and coupling frame 11 is connected to the fixed part of the pivot bearing via a tilt spring portion 21, which makes it possible to lift the pivoted lid portion e.g. in a high-pivot position of over 130 °, so that the opening area of the can is freely accessible.
- the stiffening and coupling frame 11 has on its entire outer circumference a sealing skirt 24 which extends up to the stationary lid surface is preferably connected to the stationary cover surface cohesively on the adhesive layer 7. This connection is broken when opened for the first time.
- a trained according to the invention container with a resealable lid has a number of advantages over previously known food containers or food cans. So no separate lid must be used or the can with an aluminum foil or otherwise sealed.
- the inventively designed lid does not curl like the lid of conventional tins, and it can containers of different Cross-sectional shape can be used freely, the opening cross section is freely designable.
- the reclosable lid according to the invention increases tightness and security against unintentional opening and it is above all completely avoided in the previously known metallic doses problem of the formation of metallic chips or microparticles and the resulting health hazard.
- containers designed according to the invention can also be used in the non-food sector, for example for oils and lacquers, as well as in containers in which only products must be stored under a certain pressure, eg containers for tennis balls.
- the field of use of containers with inventively ausgestaltetem, resealable lid is thus virtually unlimited.

A variety of products of all kinds, especially food, are packed in tightly sealed containers to ensure long shelf life, so that during this storage time only a minimal deterioration of the quality or the properties of the respective products.
Examples of this widespread type of packaging are cans for fish, meat, sausage, fruits, vegetables, ready meals and the like, but also outside the food industry, hermetically sealed containers are used to package, for example, paints, inks and other pasty products, to ensure that their existing after production properties remain unchanged over a long time and thus also correspondingly long storage times can be ensured with minimal loss of quality.
Are such hermetically sealed containers, such as cans, provided with a tear-open, ie with a metallic lid with incorporated scribe line and a riveted to the lid tear tab, so have such, inexpensive to produce containers in particular the advantage that no closure elements survive beyond the outer contour of the container and thus the demands for stackability and thus cheaper transport and storage options can be met.
The disadvantage here is, above all, that a container once opened via the tear-open lid is not resealable and thus the product located in the container must be consumed immediately or transferred into a closable container. A particular disadvantage is added in the case of packaged foodstuffs in metallic containers, and this disadvantage is that in the opening process, i. then, if the existing scoring or weakening line between the respective opening portion and the lid surface is torn or severed, unavoidably tiny metal particles are released from the lid material and can enter the can or the packaged product. These tiny metallic chips or metal particles are of health concern when they enter the human body along with the food.

From the
the sheet metal layer and the lacquer layer of the perimeter of the respectively provided opening or Aufreißbereichs are weakened accordingly to form a tear notch, which is also lid outside adjacent to the tear notch and outside the opening portion on the fixed lid surface a sealing frame is secured by openings, the grooves for sealing recording having sealing and locking ribs, and wherein the cover part on the one hand provided with a tear-open and on the other hand this tear-open member is connected diametrically opposite one another via a pivot bearing area fixed to the located outside of the swing-lid part cover surface. In addition, the lid part is provided on the lid outside with a molded circumferential stiffening and coupling frame, which comprises with the grooves of the sealing frame corresponding sealing and locking ribs, which allow the tight reclosing of the lid.
Object of the present invention is to provide a container of the type described above with all such containers own advantages, but in particular to achieve that the opening of the lid is made possible with relatively less effort and ease of use that disturbing deformations of the swung Cover area are avoided as well as injury due to sharp metal edges, and that especially the occurrence and release of metallic microparticles is excluded during the opening process.
This problem is solved by the features of claim 1.
This solution further comprises the advantage that the swing-open metallic lid area is firmly connected on its entire circumference with a stiffening and coupling frame and thus a largely stable, swiveling cover part is created, which after the first occurred Opening again can be pressed into the sealing frame and with this to form a tight coupling ensures a secure closure of the container.
An undefined bending of the metallic opening portion, as is usually the case with conventional rupturable can lids, as well as the risk of injury to sharp metal lid edges, as such sharp edges are covered by the stiffening and coupling frame.
Furthermore, it is important that it allows the structure of the composite material, despite the punched out of the lid portion and subsequent fitting of this area in the metal lid to obtain a metallic virtually continuous and despite the punched tight lid surface, on the outside of both the stiffening and coupling frame as well as the sealing frame are fixed, in such a way that no continuous mounting holes must be made in the metal cover or metal coatings. This leads to an extremely simple and cost-effective design.
While the can or Aufreißdeckel the container is always metallic due to the demands placed on him, the product container to which the can lid is connected, both of metal and plastic or other materials, especially composites exist.
The micro-gap closely adjacent weakening or indentation of the plastic film must not be the same or not circumferentially the same. Thus, for example, to enable the degradation of a built-up in the interior of the container overpressure advantageously in the area that is effective at the beginning of the opening process, the notch depth increases and thus the opening be relieved. This area of increased notch depth is preferably followed by a short area of reduced notch depth, which results in a perceptible increase in the opening resistance and thus a brief braking of the opening process. Again, subsequently, the indentation depth can be increased and preferably correspond to the initial indentation depth. Thus, an existing overpressure is degraded in a simple and safe manner in the initial phase of the respective opening operation, whereupon, after overcoming a short-term inhibition, the further opening process can be carried out under normal pressure and undesired leakage of liquid through the sealing lip arrangement is prevented.
According to various embodiments of the invention, the container may have a round, oval or polygonal cross-sectional shape, wherein the course of the micro-gap is adapted in this case at least in part to the respective cross-sectional shape.
Specially designed and in particular polygonal cross-sectional shapes allow a denser packing of containers and thus corresponding storage and transport advantages. In addition, sales areas can be better used by denser arrangement of the containers. The adaptation of the hinged lid part to the respective cross-sectional shape ensures optimal access to the interior of the product container.
Preferably, in each cross-sectional shape of the container, the sealing frame intended for receiving the cover part at least largely follows the course of the connection region between the product container and the lid, which is tantamount to the fact that in these cases the circumferential contour of the swing-open lid part is approximately matched to the cross-sectional shape of the container.
It is also essential for the invention that the plastic film component is designed as a molded part which is adapted to the cover bottom contour and has molded positioning elements. In this way, the relative position of plastic film and sheet metal layer can always be easily and accurately specified and ensured.
Preferably, the film component of the composite extends into the bead and acts in the flare as a sealing material and corrosion protection, which leads to further simplification of the structure of cans.
Another advantage is that the pivot bearing area has an integrated, bistable tilt spring section.
With regard to existing hygiene requirements, it is important that the stiffening and coupling frame preferably has on its entire outer circumference a sealing skirt which extends up to the stationary cover surface and which is in particular materially bonded to the stationary cover surface via the adhesive lacquer layer.
This will certainly any penetration of dirt, moisture and the like located in below the visible plastic parts areas prevents what is of particular importance in packaged products with long storage times.

The main component of the can lid consists of a suitably shaped
A practically significant advantage of this composite material is that it enables this composite material to reduce the material thickness of the sheet metal layer, in particular the aluminum or tinplate layer, without sacrificing the required strength values, even a slight reduction in sheet thickness enabling economically significant material savings when takes into account the large number of units needed and manufactured in such packaging.

The sealing frame has two by a

A trained according to the invention container with a resealable lid has a number of advantages over previously known food containers or food cans. So no separate lid must be used or the can with an aluminum foil or otherwise sealed. In addition, the inventively designed lid does not curl like the lid of conventional tins, and it can containers of different Cross-sectional shape can be used freely, the opening cross section is freely designable. The reclosable lid according to the invention increases tightness and security against unintentional opening and it is above all completely avoided in the previously known metallic doses problem of the formation of metallic chips or microparticles and the resulting health hazard.
In addition to food containers containers designed according to the invention can also be used in the non-food sector, for example for oils and lacquers, as well as in containers in which only products must be stored under a certain pressure, eg containers for tennis balls. The field of use of containers with inventively ausgestaltetem, resealable lid is thus virtually unlimited.
