Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electromagnetic switching valve for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, as well as a high-pressure fuel pump having such an electromagnetic switching valve.
  • High-pressure fuel pumps in fuel injection systems in internal combustion engines are used to pressurize a high-pressure fuel, the pressure is for example in gasoline internal combustion engines in a range of 150 bar to 400 bar and diesel engines in a range of 1500 bar to 2500 bar , The higher the pressure that can be generated in the respective fuel, the lower are emissions that occur during combustion of the fuel in a combustion chamber, which is particularly advantageous against the background that a reduction of emissions is increasingly desired.
  • valve assemblies may be provided at various positions along the path that the fuel takes from a tank to the respective combustion chamber, for example as an intake valve on a high pressure fuel pump that pressurizes the fuel, but also as a relief valve at various positions of the fuel injection system, for example For example, on a common rail that stores the pressurized fuel before injection into the combustion chamber.
  • Such electromagnetic Switching valves have a valve region which performs the valve function and which comprises a closing element and a valve seat which cooperate to close the switching valve. Furthermore, such a switching valve comprises an actuator region, which moves the closing element by means of an electromagnetic excitation in order to lift it off the valve seat or press it onto the valve seat. In order to be able to move the closing element, this actuator region has correspondingly movable elements which, at the end of the movement, strike their respective end position. In this case, a pulse is induced, which is forwarded in particular via adjacent components and emitted as sound from them. The sound is then perceived as noise.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an electromagnetic switching valve, in which a sound radiation can be reduced by adapting components of the switching valve to a minimum.
  • a high-pressure fuel pump having such an electromagnetic switching valve is the subject of the independent claim.
  • An electromagnetic switching valve for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine has a valve portion with a closing element and with a valve seat, which cooperate to close the switching valve on. Furthermore, the electromagnetic switching valve comprises an actuator region for moving the closing element along a movement axis into a closing or opening position, the actuator region being accommodated at least partially in a sleeve.
  • the sleeve has a front wall region arranged perpendicular to the movement axis.
  • the end wall region has at least one bulge with a spherical cap shape.
  • Such a sleeve which receives elements of the actuator area, acts as a kind of speaker when elements intersect inside the sleeve.
  • sound waves are radiated particularly reinforced from the sleeve. Therefore, it is now proposed to provide a bulge in the sleeve in order to reduce a noise emission, since the sound can be transmitted less strongly by the sleeve by the geometric deformation of the front wall portion of the sleeve.
  • the bulge is formed as a convex bulge, i. the bulge is outwardly oriented away from an inner region of the sleeve.
  • the bulge as a concave bulge, wherein the bulge is formed directed towards an inner region of the sleeve.
  • the bulge has a spherical cap shape, since such a shape is particularly easy to manufacture.
  • the bulge is formed symmetrically about a central longitudinal axis of the sleeve, wherein the bulge is arranged on the end wall region, in particular centrally on the central longitudinal axis.
  • a plateau region is advantageous because it stabilizes the sleeve in the end wall region.
  • the actuator region comprises a fixed pole piece and an armature movable along the axis of movement, which are received together in the sleeve.
  • one of the two, pole piece or anchor is arranged directly adjacent to the frontal wall region.
  • the sleeve is accordingly shaped like a cap, the armature and pole piece receives, in such a way that armature and pole piece along the axis of movement are arranged one behind the other in the cap.
  • a gap is formed between the member, pole piece or armature disposed directly adjacent to the end wall portion in the sleeve, to form a space between the pole piece and the armature and the end wall portion, respectively.
  • the pole piece or armature and the end wall portion are arranged without contact with each other and thus decoupled, whereby a further reduction in noise can be achieved.
  • the intermediate space is filled with a sound damping material, whereby advantageously a further reduction of the sound radiation and thus a reduction of the sound level can be achieved.
  • the actuator region preferably has a coil which is arranged around the sleeve on a wall region of the sleeve extending parallel to the axis of movement.
  • the cap is therefore advantageously shaped so that the coil can easily slide over it and the coil can be held in position by the sleeve.
  • a high-pressure fuel pump for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine has an electromagnetic switching valve as described above, wherein a valve portion of the electromagnetic switching valve is disposed in a housing bore of the high-pressure fuel pump, wherein a sleeve which at least partially accommodates an actuator portion of the electromagnetic switching valve, is fixed in the housing bore and a Has frontal wall portion which protrudes into an environment of the high-pressure fuel pump.
  • the sleeve in particular acts as a loudspeaker when it is not shielded, but protrudes into an environment, so that a pulse which arises within the sleeve is emitted as sound from the sleeve as speaker to the outside.
  • Fig. 1 shows a schematic overview of a fuel injection system 10 of an internal combustion engine, which promotes a fuel 12 from a tank 14 via a prefeed pump 16, a high-pressure fuel pump 18 and a high-pressure fuel storage 20 to injectors 22, which then inject the fuel 12 into combustion chambers of the internal combustion engine.
  • the fuel 12 is introduced via an inlet valve 24 into the high-pressure fuel pump 18, pressurized via an outlet valve 26 out of the high-pressure fuel pump 18, and fed to the high-pressure fuel accumulator 20.
  • a pressure control valve 28 is arranged to control the pressure of the fuel 12 in the high-pressure fuel storage 20 can.
  • Both the inlet valve 24 and the outlet valve 26 and the pressure control valve 28 may be formed as an electromagnetic switching valve 30 and therefore operated actively.
  • Fig. 2 shows a longitudinal sectional view through the high-pressure fuel pump 18 from Fig. 1 with an intake valve 24 formed as an electromagnetic switching valve 30 as an example of a position to which the electromagnetic switching valve 30 may be attached.
  • an intake valve 24 formed as an electromagnetic switching valve 30 as an example of a position to which the electromagnetic switching valve 30 may be attached.
  • a switching valve 30 which will be described below, at the other mentioned positions, namely as an exhaust valve 26 or as a pressure regulating valve 28, disposed in the fuel injection system 10.
  • the electromagnetic switching valve 30 is disposed in a housing bore 32 of a housing 34 of the high-pressure fuel pump 18.
  • the electromagnetic switching valve 30 has a valve region 36 and an actuator region 38, wherein the actuator region 38 has a fixed pole piece 40, an armature 44 movable along a movement axis 42, and a coil 46.
  • the valve region 36 comprises a valve seat 48 and a closing element 50, which cooperate to close the electromagnetic switching valve 30.
  • the electromagnetic switching valve 30 is shown in greater detail in two different embodiments Fig. 2 and Fig. 5 each shown in a longitudinal sectional view.
  • Parts of the actuator region 38 namely in particular the pole piece 40 and the armature 44, are held in a sleeve 52 which receives the armature 44 and the pole piece 40 with a wall region 54 extending parallel to the movement axis 42.
  • the sleeve 52 is also secured to the housing bore 32 at an open end portion 56 of the parallel wall portion 54.
  • the sleeve is closed along the movement axis 42 opposite the open end region 56 with an end wall region 58, and protrudes into an environment 60 of the high-pressure fuel pump 18, which is located outside of the housing 34.
  • the coil 46 is housed in a coil housing 62 which is slid over the sleeve 52, so that the coil 46 is arranged around the sleeve 52 on the wall region 54 extending parallel to the movement axis 42.
  • the sleeve 52 therefore does not take all elements of the actuator area 38 in on its inside, since the coil 46, which is also part of the actuator area 38, is arranged outside the sleeve 52.
  • the sleeve 52 has in all embodiments at its front wall portion 58 a bulge 64.
  • This bulge may for example have a spherical cap shape and is, as in the perspective view of the sleeve 52 in Fig. 4 shown symmetrically about a central longitudinal axis 66 of the sleeve 52, and arranged centrally on the central longitudinal axis 66 at the end wall portion 58. Adjacent to the bulge 64, in all the embodiments shown, the end wall region 58 has a flat plateau region 68, which is arranged perpendicular to the movement axis 42.
  • the bulge 64 in the sleeve 52 may be formed in various embodiments, two of which are shown and described below.
  • the bulge 64 is formed as a concave bulge 64 and therefore bulges inwardly in the direction of the pole piece 40, which is located inside the sleeve 52.
  • the bulge 64 bulges outwardly away from the pole piece 40 to form a convex bulge 64.
  • bulge 64 is provided in the end wall portion 58 of the sleeve 52, but that a plurality of bulges 64 are provided. These may be arranged, for example symmetrically about the central longitudinal axis 66 annular, but it is also conceivable, an entire surface of the end wall portion 58 with a plurality To provide bulges 64, which form a waveform on the front wall portion.
  • the pole piece 40 is arranged at a distance from the front-side wall region 58, so that a gap 70 is formed between the pole piece 40 and the front-side wall region 58. This gap further reduces the sound radiation of the sleeve 52 in the environment 60, in particular when it is filled with a sound damping material 72.
  • FIG Fig. 5 Although such a space 70 in the second embodiment is shown in FIG Fig. 5 is not shown here, such a gap 70 between the pole piece 40 and frontal wall portion 58, also filled with a sound damping material 72 may be provided.
  • pole piece 40 is not the element that is directly adjacent to the end wall region 58, but rather the armature 44.
  • Fig. 4 or. Fig. 6 show schematically the two embodiments of the sleeve 52, once in a perspective view and once in a side view, each without the other said elements of the electromagnetic switching valve 30th
  • the fast-switching solenoid valves ie those described above as the electromagnetic switching valves 30, for volume flow and / or pressure control.
  • the armature 44 of the electromagnetic switching valve 30 strikes, for example, during opening or during closing in the respective end position.
  • the induced pulse is across the adjacent components forwarded and radiated as sound from these, the sound is perceived as noise.
  • the anchor 44 in the pole piece 40 the sleeve 52 is excited and acts as a kind of speaker when emitting the sound waves.
  • the sleeve 52 is provided by means of suitable Umformoperationen with a geometrically defined bulge 64, wherein the bulge 64 can be oriented both in the direction of the pole piece 40 inwardly and outwardly to reduce noise emissions as a result of the actuator movement.
  • the geometric deformation of the sleeve 52 on the end wall portion 58, the noise emission and thus the noise level is lowered.
  • the sound damping material 72 in the gap 70 leads to a further reduction of the sound radiation and thus to a reduction of the sound level.
