Definitions
- the present invention relates to a transport auxiliary device which is suitable for improving the transport of objects which are transported on pallets and which are therefore hereinafter referred to as pallet goods.
- the invention is based on the object of providing a device for the more economical transport of palletized goods.
- the invention solves the problem of insufficient space utilization by those pallets that are only loaded with a comparatively low height.
- a pallet e.g. is placed on the floor of a truck body (usually also referred to as a suitcase), the space above the pallet can no longer be used for transport. This is only possible if the objects on the pallet are exceptionally stable and shaped so that a second pallet can be placed directly on these objects. Usually this is not possible. The loading capacity of the truck body can then only be used insufficiently.
- each support beam of the support device has a connection device.
- each support bar has a holding device for connection to a second pallet, so that this is held at a vertical distance from the first pallet.
- auxiliary transport devices of the type mentioned above are from U.S. 2,926,792 A and the FR 1 260 686 A known. They have in common that the connecting devices of the support bars provided for connection to the first lower pallet are each supported on the loading floor of the first lower pallet.
- an auxiliary transport device with a support device comprising four support bars
- the connecting devices of which for connecting the support device to a first lower pallet each engage in a recess of the first pallet, which is formed between the loading floor and a floor board of the first pallet.
- the present invention provides a further auxiliary transport device with which it is possible to counter the problem mentioned at the beginning.
- the auxiliary transport device has a support device which can be connected to the lower pallet.
- a further pallet can be placed on this support device and is held there by a holding device at a distance from the first pallet. The weight exerted by the pallet is completely absorbed by the support device, so that the objects which are arranged on the lower pallet are not loaded by the weight of the upper pallet.

Description
The present invention relates to a transport auxiliary device which is suitable for improving the transport of objects which are transported on pallets and which are therefore hereinafter referred to as pallet goods.
It is known and common practice to transport items which cannot be transported as bulk goods or piece goods or the like, e.g. to be transported on trucks, in containers, in the holds of ships and aircraft, on pallets. The cargo space should be used as well as possible in terms of transport costs. In practice, however, the available loading space when transporting palletized goods cannot always be used as efficiently as possible and therefore economically.
The invention is based on the object of providing a device for the more economical transport of palletized goods.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the teaching of
Further developments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.
The invention solves the problem of insufficient space utilization by those pallets that are only loaded with a comparatively low height.
If such a pallet e.g. is placed on the floor of a truck body (usually also referred to as a suitcase), the space above the pallet can no longer be used for transport. This is only possible if the objects on the pallet are exceptionally stable and shaped so that a second pallet can be placed directly on these objects. Usually this is not possible. The loading capacity of the truck body can then only be used insufficiently.

According to a preferred embodiment, the auxiliary transport device is assigned a carrying aid. A carrying aid in the sense of the invention is to be understood as a device which, during transport, is supported in particular on one or more support bodies and is acted upon by a weight from the second pallet. According to a preferred embodiment, the carrying aid is supported during transport by a plurality of support bodies of different support bars, the different support bars being connected to the same first pallet. A second pallet, which is smaller than the first pallet, can advantageously be placed on the carrying aid. Advantageously, two second pallets, each of which has a loading floor that is only half the size of the loading floor of the first pallet, can be placed together on the carrying aid. According to a preferred embodiment, the carrying aid has at least a third connecting element, in particular a bore or projection for connection to a support body. For this purpose, the support body has at least one complementary fourth connecting element. According to a preferred embodiment, the carrying aid has at least one recess, in particular for saving weight. The carrying aid is particularly preferably designed essentially as a frame.
A preferred embodiment of the auxiliary transport device according to the invention has at least one, preferably four, in particular fiber-reinforced support bars with an L-shaped cross section with first and second legs. The support bars extend along a vertical line during transport. At least one, preferably both legs have a number of bores (first connecting elements). These bores are arranged one above the other in the support beam and parallel to its longitudinal axis. One bore in each of the first and second legs advantageously has the same predetermined distance from the first end of the support beam. According to a preferred embodiment, the fiber-reinforced support spar has a metallic insert, particularly preferably a profiled sheet steel or at least one metal rod. This advantageously increases the load-bearing capacity of the support beam.
The connecting means are designed as essentially plate-shaped force transmission pieces.
The force transmission pieces are connected to one leg of each support beam, preferably formed in one piece. During transport, the plate-shaped power transmission pieces are arranged between the floor board and loading floor of the first pallet.
According to the invention, the plate-shaped force transmission piece has a first and a second leg, the second leg extending in particular at right angles to the first leg and essentially parallel to the loading floor of the pallet within one of its recesses. When a lifting means is guided in this recess and the first pallet is lifted with this lifting means, the lifting means simultaneously lifts the power transmission piece. The bottom board of the first pallet is advantageously free of a load from the second pallet.
A retaining sleeve made of fiber-reinforced plastic is pushed onto the support bar. The power transmission from the retaining cuff to the support bar takes place via pins or screws (second connecting element), which extend through holes in the support bar during transport. According to a preferred embodiment, the pins are spring-loaded and displaceable within the retaining sleeve. The retaining sleeve has a plate as a support surface for the second pallet. The plate is advantageously supported against the retaining sleeve by means of a strut. The especially spring-loaded strut is preferably displaceable with respect to the support element and has a second connecting element which is urged by the spring to engage the support spar.
In a modification of the aforementioned preferred embodiment of the auxiliary transport device according to the invention, the legs of the support beam are connected to one another in an articulated manner. The articulated connection of the legs is used in particular to facilitate connection of the auxiliary transport device according to the invention with one in the USA standard pallet without recesses in the beams below the loading floor. Otherwise, this preferred embodiment corresponds to the aforementioned preferred embodiment.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the auxiliary transport device according to the invention, the support bar is designed as a metal profile, in particular made of sheet steel. According to a preferred embodiment, the metal profile is canted or deep-drawn and has two profile elements angled to one another. Both profile elements have several, in particular punched, recesses (first connecting element), which extend in at least two rows along the longitudinal axis of the metal profile. A force transmission piece is connected to the metal profile as a connecting means, in particular in a materially bonded manner. During transport, the power transmission piece extends into a recess in the first pallet and is preferably designed in accordance with the power transmission piece of the preferred embodiment described above. According to a preferred embodiment, the metal profile has a mandrel as an additional connecting means, which is driven into one of its spacers when the auxiliary transport device and the first pallet are connected. The support bodies of this preferred embodiment are designed as L-shaped support pieces. Before loading the holding device with the second pallet, the second connecting elements of a support piece are inserted into the recesses of the metal profile. The support piece advantageously stiffens the metal profile. According to a preferred embodiment, the second connecting elements of the support piece are designed as tongues, tabs or hooks which, during transport, essentially point downwards or in the direction of the first pallet. The weight of the attached second pallet advantageously counteracts a separation of the support piece and metal profile.
According to a preferred embodiment, the holding device is detachably attached to the support beam. The holding device is particularly preferably attached to the support bar by means of a plug connection.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the support bar and support body are in particular connected to one another in a materially bonded manner. The support bar is made with a predetermined length. The distance between the support body and the connecting means is also predetermined. According to a preferred embodiment, this serves to achieve a special load-bearing capacity, cost-effective production and / or a special longevity even with strenuous use.
If two to four support bars of the auxiliary transport device according to the invention are connected to a first pallet, the insertion of a second pallet can cause difficulties due to the accuracy of fit of the auxiliary transport device. In everyday life in the transport industry, however, short periods of time are required for handling goods to be transported for reasons of economy. The auxiliary transport device according to the invention should also enable quick handling.
According to a first preferred embodiment, a support device according to the invention is advantageously equipped with at least one threading aid, which serves in particular to facilitate the insertion of a second pallet into a number of support bars arranged around a first pallet. The threading aid is at least temporarily connected, in particular attached, to at least one support spar. The threading aid has at least one, preferably two, inclined surfaces. The inclined surface has a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical during transport. According to a preferred embodiment, the angle of the inclined surface is compared to the vertical 0 ° and 90 °, preferably between 10 ° and 80 °, more preferably between 20 ° and 70 °, more preferably between 30 ° and 60 °, particularly preferably between 40 ° and 50 °. The inclined surface has an advantageous effect in that it urges the second pallet in the direction of the inner surface of the support beam, corresponding to a funnel. Preferably, at least two threading aids are connected to one another during insertion, in particular by means of a stabilizing means. The stabilizing means is particularly preferably designed as a band, rod, belt, spring or rope and extends essentially parallel to the loading floor between two support bars. Advantageously, two threading aids connected to the support bars and the stabilizing means counteract an undesired displacement of the support bars. If four support bars are connected to a first pallet and each of the support bars carries a threading aid, the threading aids are preferably connected with only three stabilizing means along three edges of the loading floor of the first pallet and form an incomplete square. The fourth edge of the first pallet remains free. A lowering of the second pallet is advantageously made possible in that the non-existent connecting rod along the fourth, free edge does not oppose the lowering of the lifting means.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the threading aid, the second end of a support spar has at least one inclined surface, as described for the aforementioned embodiment. The inclined surface has an advantageous effect in that it urges the second pallet in the direction of the inner surface of the support beam, corresponding to a funnel. According to a preferred embodiment, several support bars around the first pallet have an inclined surface for each inner surface. Particularly preferably, an L-shaped support spar with two inner surfaces per inner surface has an inclined surface.
According to a further preferred embodiment, several support bars connected to a first pallet have predetermined and different lengths or heights. One, preferably two support bars protrude beyond the rest. The longer support bars advantageously act as a stop against which the second pallet is moved essentially horizontally before it is placed on a support body. According to a preferred embodiment, at least two support bars are connected to one another, particularly preferably braced by means of a tensioning means, in order to counteract a relative movement of a support bar with respect to the first pallet.
According to a further preferred embodiment, a controlled relative movement of at least one support beam with respect to the first pallet is made possible at times. In the process, one or more support bars are displaced essentially horizontally outward in his or her upper areas. I.e. the upper area of at least one support beam moves away from the first pallet. After inserting the second pallet, the support bar resumes its original position with respect to the first pallet. For this purpose, the connecting means is designed in particular as a nail or screw and enables a limited horizontal displacement and / or rotary movement of the support beam relative to the first pallet.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the connecting means is designed as an at least two-part clamp, particularly preferably with a spaced-apart boundary surface. The movable part of the clamp advantageously yields to a limited extent when force is applied to the support bar and allows the support bar to tilt or shift to a limited extent.
The connecting means are designed as power transmission pieces. During transport and when connecting the support beam and the first pallet, the force transmission piece with the delimiting surface is arranged below the loading floor thereof and adjacent to one of its spacers. The power transmission piece is connected to a first leg of the L-shaped support beam. The boundary surface of the force transmission piece has a predetermined distance from the second leg of the same support beam. The boundary surface of the force transmission piece is also at a predetermined distance from a spacer, floor board of the first pallet and / or its loading floor after a support beam has been attached to the first pallet. According to a preferred embodiment, the predetermined addition is between 1 and 20 mm, particularly preferably between 5 and 15 mm. According to a preferred embodiment, the factor is between 1.02 and 1.1. According to a preferred embodiment, the lower boundary surface of the force transmission piece is supported on a floor board of the first pallet. According to a preferred embodiment, the upper boundary surface of the power transmission piece has an angle between 1 ° and 15 °, more preferably between 2 ° and 10 °, particularly preferably between 3 ° and 5 °, with respect to the loading floor.
According to a preferred embodiment, at least one support bar has a folding device with first and second legs. This special folding device combines the support body and its second connecting element. The first leg of the folding device forms an inclined surface as described above and is articulated to the second end of the support beam. The first leg is braced with respect to the inner surface of the support beam by means of a spring to assume a predetermined angle, as described above. Advantageously, due to its angle of attack, the folding device acts like a funnel on the second pallet to be inserted and urges the second pallet between two support bars during insertion. The The folding device is placed vertically when inserted and the second pallet is placed on the molded support body.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the auxiliary transport device has an in particular prismatic plug-in block. This plug block counteracts in particular an undesired displacement of a support beam during transport. For this purpose, the plug-in block is inserted into a recess in the support beam during transport. This recess is arranged in the region of a recess in the first pallet. Due to its presence, the plug-in block fills a gap with a predetermined distance between the connecting means or support bar and the first pallet. Thus, the inserted block lies in a form-fitting manner on both the support bar or connecting means and the first pallet. This plug-in block is preferably wedge-shaped and / or made of an elastic material.
If a pallet is damaged or improperly repaired, individual parts of the pallet, in particular the dimensions of the loading floor, a spacer and / or floor board, may differ from the nominal dimensions. The auxiliary transport device should take this into account.
According to a preferred embodiment, individual dimensions of the connecting device and / or supporting device of the auxiliary transport device are designed with a predetermined oversize with regard to selected nominal dimensions of the first pallet. In particular, the predetermined oversize with respect to a nominal dimension of the loading floor, floor board or spacer of a pallet. According to a preferred embodiment, the predetermined addition to the width of the spacer is between 1 and 20 mm, particularly preferably between 5 and 15 mm. According to a preferred embodiment, the factor is between 1.02 and 1.1. According to the invention, a support bar of the auxiliary transport device has an L-shaped cross section with first and second legs. A power transmission piece is connected to the first leg. A boundary surface of the force transmission piece is oriented essentially parallel to the second leg of the support beam and is spaced apart from this second leg by a predetermined amount.
According to a further preferred embodiment, further boundary surfaces of the force transmission piece are aligned essentially parallel to the loading floor and / or a floor board. According to a preferred embodiment, the factor is between 1.02 and 1.1.
According to a preferred embodiment, the gaps between the force transmission piece and the pallet body are filled with a plug-in block during transport. This plug-in block is preferably wedge-shaped and / or made of an elastic material.
According to a further preferred embodiment, the connecting means are designed as clamps and have a movable, in particular spring-loaded part with an integrally formed catch. The spring-loaded part has a substantially plate-shaped area adjoining the support device and an area with the detent which is further away from the support device. In particular, the clamp engages around a spacer of the first pallet with a spacing between the movable part and the spacer. The notch snaps around the spacer and works Separation of the auxiliary transport device and the first pallet. With in particular manual actuation of the movable part, in particular its plate-shaped area, the clamp is opened so far that the catch no longer interacts with the spacer and the support bar can be separated from the first pallet.
