Claims (10)

  1. Ironing device (2) having a steam generating base (3) and an iron (4) connected to the steam generating base (3), wherein the steam generating base (3) comprises a reservoir (6) and a support part (7) disposed at an angle above the reservoir (6) and on which the iron (4) can be placed during inactive ironing phases, characterised in that the support part (7) has a viewing opening (13) providing visual access to the contents of the reservoir (6) when the iron (4) is removed from the support part (7).
  2. Ironing device (2) according to claim 1, wherein the tank (6) has a viewing wall (16) extending in the vicinity of the viewing opening (13) and visible through the viewing opening (13), wherein the viewing wall (16) is transparent or translucent so as to enable a user to visually check a liquid level in the reservoir (6) through the viewing opening (13).
  3. Ironing device (2) according to claim 2, wherein the viewing wall (16) extends substantially in the extension of the viewing opening (13).
  4. Ironing device (2) according to claim 2 or 3, wherein the viewing wall (16) extends the length of at least a part of the circumference of the viewing opening (13).
  5. Ironing device (2) according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the reservoir (6) has a bottom wall (17) from which the viewing wall (16) extends, and wherein the bottom wall (17) and the viewing wall (16) delimit a viewing chamber (18) into which the viewing opening (13) opens.
  6. Ironing device (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the support part (7) has an upper surface (9.1) comprising a location on which the iron (4) is intended to rest, and a lower surface (8.1) opposite the upper surface (9.1) and facing the tank (6), wherein the viewing opening (13) extends through the support part (7) from the upper surface (9.1) of the support part (7) to the lower surface (8.1) of the support part (7).
  7. Ironing device (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the support part (7) includes a support platform (8) at least partially delimiting the viewing opening (13).
  8. Ironing device (2) according to claim 7, wherein the support part (7) has a cover plate (9) covering at least part of the support platform (8) and on which the iron (4) can be placed during the inactive ironing phases.
  9. Ironing device (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the reservoir (6) is removable.
  10. Ironing device (2) according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the viewing opening (13) is closed by a transparent or translucent window.
