Definitions
- the invention relates to the field of snow sliding sports, and more particularly that of the manufacture of boards gliding. It is more specifically the way to achieve the songs of boards gliding.
- the gliding boards are constituted by the stack of different layers of superimposed materials. These layers are generally gathered into an upper and a lower set, which are separated by a central core.
- the board For planks said to sandwich structure, that is to say in which the upper assembly does not join laterally the lower assembly, the board has side reinforcing elements forming the edges, interposed between the lower assembly and the 'superior assembly, and protecting in particular the core of mechanical aggression and moisture.
- These songs generally consist of a narrow band of a material whose rigidity is chosen to ensure a correct transmission of forces from the upper assembly to the side edges.
- these elements are arranged on the lower assembly and on the side edges when they are positioned in the manufacturing mold. These edge elements are located on the edge of the mold, and usually extend beyond the final volume of the board, and are then machined to give the final profile of the board.
- One of the objectives of the invention is to provide a gliding board structure that makes it possible to adapt in a variety of ways the mechanical properties associated with the side edges. Another objective is to provide a solution that makes it easy to manufacture boards with edges composed of different materials, or more generally different pieces easier to handle. Another objective is to ensure an accurate anchoring and positioning of the songs relative to the rest of the structure of the board during its molding.
- the Applicant has designed gliding board songs, which consist of a set of at least two building elements.
- each element comprises a longitudinal beam, and the ends of two adjacent elements come into contact with each other by the entirety of their end surface, when the elements are arranged one in the extension of the 'other.
- two adjacent elements comprise complementary mechanical locking means, to prevent relative movement of the two elements concerned.
- the invention consists in making board songs by the assembly of different individual elements, which cooperate with each other to provide relative blocking, and the formation of a global edge element.
- edges according to the invention result from the assembly of smaller pieces, which are mounted in such a way as to ensure a mechanical continuity of the beams which constitute them, and thus to ensure the sealing of the board from the outside.
- each element may have an end surface that is not perpendicular to the main direction of the powder.
- each individual element ends in a surface that is not strictly vertical, when one observes the ski on a horizontal plane.
- the junction surface between two adjacent elements ensures the recovery of the vertical forces exerted by the user, and therefore limits the risk of rupture of the edge at this level.
- this end surface may have an inclined-panel-shaped geometry, so that the beams of the individual elements end in bevels which face one beam to the other. This makes it possible not to create an area of low resistance at the junctions of the individual elements.
- the end surfaces of the beams can be envisaged for the end surfaces of the beams, since these are surfaces which are symmetrical with respect to the median plane perpendicular to the main direction of the beam. Indeed, in this case, the surfaces of two distinct elements may come facing one another and in full contact, by turning one of these parts around the main axis of the beam.
- these mechanical locking means comprise a first pin and a first hole intended to cooperate respectively with a second hole and a second pin of the mechanical locking means located on the adjacent element.
- the pins and the corresponding holes may be located on lateral protuberances which are arranged laterally on each side of the beam.
- the pin and the hole of an element are arranged symmetrically with respect to the plane perpendicular to the main direction of the beam, separating the surface terminal in two equal portions.
- the pawn of the first element is inserted into the hole of the second element and vice versa.
- the locking means for preventing the relative displacement of the individual elements comprise locking members in position. In this way, the various elements remain integral with each other after assembly.
- the mechanical locking means for preventing the relative displacement of the individual edge elements comprise on one of the adjacent elements a finger extending parallel to the direction of the beam, and on the other elements adjacent, a recess adapted to receive this finger.
- each beam may comprise at least one outwardly directed outgrowth of the board, to allow positioning of the edge element in the board production mold.
- the element integrates bodies that cooperate with the mold so as to index the position.
- each beam may comprise at least one projection oriented towards the inside of the board, in order to improve the anchoring of this element in the structure of the board, after molding, in particular for the cases. where the core is injected during molding.
- the adjacent elements may be identical and designed to cooperate with each other by turning around their main axis.
- gliding boards incorporating these edge elements can be made with a wide variety of shapes and material constructions.
- the number of elements required can be two, or advantageously three or more if it is desired to combine more mechanical and / or aesthetic effects.
- FIG. 1 to 5 A first embodiment of an individual singing element is illustrated figure 1 to 5 .
- Such an element 10 consists mainly of a main beam 11 which has the height of the final song of the board.
- This edge element is made of plastic, filled or not with fibers, and is preferably obtained by injection, but can also be manufactured by machining or three-dimensional printing.
- This beam 11 is elongate and rectilinear, preferably of constant thickness and ends at its two ends 12,13, by an inclined section 14,15.
- These inclined faces form a flat surface, which is symmetrical with respect to the vertical median longitudinal plane P of the beam.
- These two inclined faces 14,15 form an angle ⁇ with respect to the horizontal plane on which rests the lower face 16 of the beam.
- These two inclined faces 14,15 are symmetrical with respect to the transverse plane median of the beam, so that the beam has a trapezoidal shape in median longitudinal section.
- the beam has four excrescences 20-23 distributed in pairs on each side of the beam. These protuberances are intended to maintain the edge in the mold for manufacturing the board, and to improve the anchoring of the edge in the core of the board.
- Each protrusion 20 has a substantially parallelepipedal portion 24 which has a height slightly less than that of the beam, so that the upper faces 26 and lower 27 of this parallelepipedal portion 24 are slightly offset respectively below and above the upper face 17 and the lower face 16 of the beam.
- This parallelepipedal portion 24 is connected to the beam 25 by a junction portion which has smaller dimensions in the direction of the height and the length of the beam.
- the space formed between the beam 10 and the parallelepipedal portion 24 of the protrusion 20 accommodates a rib of the injection mold, to ensure precise transverse positioning of the edge element 10 in the die of the mold of the board, in particular for manufacturing processes in which the core is injected during molding.
- the beam also has near its end zones 12,13, a set of positioning tongues 28 which extend laterally. These tongues are positioned near the upper face 17 of the beam, with a slight difference so that the upper face 29 of the tongue is slightly offset below the upper face 17 of the beam, and more specifically, these tongues. of positioning have an offset with respect to the horizontal longitudinal median plane of the beam. These tongues 28 are intended to penetrate into complementary shaped recesses formed in the mold for manufacturing the board, in order to ensure the positioning of the edge element with the desired orientation, and play a keying role.
- the edge element 10 comprises mechanical locking means with respect to the adjacent elements, these mechanical means being implanted in the end zones 12, 13 of the beam.
- the locking means 30 mainly comprise a tongue 31 pierced with a hole 32 , and a pin 33 situated in the extension of the hole 32. More precisely, this tongue 31 extends horizontally, at an intermediate level of the height of the beam, slightly below the mid-height of the latter. This tongue 31 extends outside the beam, so that with the tongue 41 symmetrical with respect to the median longitudinal plane of the beam, they define an empty space 36 to accommodate the end of a beam another singing element.
- the shape of the tongue 31 is chosen to ensure effective anchoring with the corresponding pin of the adjacent edge element, and not to overflow excessively inside the board once the ski molded.
- the hole 32 of the tongue 31 is substantially rectangular in shape, to accommodate the pin of the adjacent element, which has a complementary geometry.
- the pin 33 In its region which penetrates into the corresponding hole of the adjacent element, the pin 33 has a section similar to that of the hole, to ensure effective blocking of two adjacent edge elements, in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
- the shape of the pin 33 may be slightly tapered to ensure easier placement of the pin inside the hole.
- the pin 33 has a recess 39 , allowing the deformation of the pin 33 when it enters the corresponding hole, to ensure a locking.
- FIG. 6 Another embodiment is illustrated in Figures 6 to 9 in which the locking means 80 have a different architecture.
- the beam 51 has only a pair of excrescences 70, disposed substantially in the middle of the beam.
- the locking means are disposed near the ends of the beam, and are symmetrical with respect to the median transverse plane of the element 50.
- These means comprise firstly a finger 81, which extends longitudinally, from a side face of the beam. This finger 81 is located halfway up the beam, and outside the lateral surface 53 of the beam 51. This finger 81 ends with a slightly bulged portion 85.
- the locking means 80 comprise a protruding region, which defines an opening or recess 82 for receiving the finger 81 of an adjacent element. This opening 82 is defined between a vertical wall 86 which extends upwardly from a tongue 83 forming a sliding ramp of the finger 85 of the adjacent element.
- the finger 85 can be introduced into the recess 82, after sliding on the ramp 83 , until the bevel end faces of the two beams come into contact. At this time, the bulged portion 85 of the finger has completely passed through the hole 82 , after slight deformation, so that the reverse movement is impossible, without the exercise of a high force, and that the elements are locked in position one by report to the other. This ensures the temporary joining of the assembled edge elements, to facilitate subsequent handling, and avoid any movement within the mold.
- the geometries of the fingers and corresponding recesses can be adapted according to the materials used, the general dimensions of the edge element, and manufacturing constraints.
- the three edge elements 10, 110, 210 are intended to be assembled together to form a singing element 300 of a gliding board, which as illustrated in FIG. figure 11 is integrated in the side face of the ski, with a capacity to mix the materials, and therefore the mechanical properties, but also aesthetic in particular by the choice of colors used. It should be noted that the song element thus formed extends over only a portion of the length of the board, but it could be longer and cover the entire length of the board.
- edge elements 10 are identical but are not positioned in the same direction relative to the median horizontal longitudinal plane of the edge, this to allow the edge elements to engage at the level of the attachment means, while allowing the ends of each edge element to be in contact.
- the edge element 10 is positioned in such a way that the slopes at the ends of this element are oriented downwards while the edge elements 110 and 210 are oriented so that the slopes at the ends of these elements elements are facing up.
- only one mold for making the edge element is needed to build the entire song of this ski board, which is economically very advantageous.
- the singing elements constituting the edge of the gliding board are not identical and then require the use of several molds for molding the edge element.
- the use of the characteristic edge element facilitates the manufacture of the board by a core injection method, which is illustrated in FIGS. Figures 12 to 14 .
- skiing is made by molding operations in a mold 500, which comprises a die 501 constituting its lower part and a cover 501 constituting the upper part.
- the die 501 has an internal recess intended to receive all the constituent elements of the board, before closing the lid of the mold 500. More specifically, the die 501 comprises a recess 503 in which are inserted the constituent elements of the lower part of the mold .
- ski namely the lower assembly including the sliding sole 41 , several reinforcements 42 made of composite or metal materials, and the side edges 43.
- the recess 503 of the mold is laterally bordered by a rib 505 intended to penetrate the space formed between the protrusion 24 of the edge element 10 and the beam 11.
- This rib 505 allows precise positioning in the transverse and longitudinal directions of the edge element 10.
- the number of protuberances is determined to avoid displacement. from the edge element towards the inside of the mold.
- a recess 504 is provided in the die 501 of the mold to accommodate the parallelepipedal portion 24 of the protuberance 20 of the edge member 10.
- the upper compound assembly is deposited in the illustrated form of a reinforcing layer 46 in composite or metallic materials and a top decorative and protective layer 47 which extends laterally, and protrudes from the final width of the ski, to be inserted into the recess 507 provided at the edge of the matrix 501 of the 500 mold .
- the material intended to form the core is injected in situ, then the ski is demolded, to give the configuration illustrated in FIG. figure 13 .
- the ski can be machined, in accordance with the line 201 in dotted lines, ending in the immediate vicinity of the metal edges 43.
- the shape given to the machining of the edge can vary, and be rectilinear vertical or oblique , or have a slight shoulder 203 as shown in FIG. figure 13 .
- the invention can also be applied to the case of a traditional molding without injection of the core.
- the prefabricated core is positioned in the mold with the edge elements and these comprise complementary hooking means to form the entire edge of the gliding board after assembly between them.
- the outgrowths of the edge on the outside of the gliding board may be less numerous to secure the edge to the mold during manufacture.
- the excrescences on the inside of the gliding board are not essential to improve the anchoring and gluing of the edge in the core.
- the edge members have a plurality of hooking means at their ends which are symmetrical with respect to the median transverse plane of the beam, as well as with respect to the median longitudinal plane of the beam to obtain singing elements. reversible. However, it will not depart from the scope of the invention if this symmetry does not exist.
- a beam must at least comprise a mechanical attachment means at each of its ends, the mechanical means of one of the ends of a singing element being able to fit into one of the ends of another singing element.
- the invention allows the manufacture of gliding boards including songs with greater ease of construction and handling, and a reduced cost. It also makes it possible to vary the composition of the song with different materials and mechanical or aesthetic properties, thus making it possible to vary the visual effects and the behavior of the board on the snow. It is also possible to decline a range of boards, using a number of elements of different songs from one board to another of the range.
