Definitions

  • the invention relates to a plug-in contact for connecting a conductor to a printed circuit board, which has a contact hole for receiving the plug contact, with a conductor connection portion, to which the conductor is connectable, with a plug-in portion which is insertable into the contact hole, with a first coupling portion, the the plug-in portion and the conductor connecting portion connects to each other, wherein the plug-in portion has at least two springs originating from a common origin resiliently elastic contact fingers.
  • Generic plug contacts are used to be used in contact carriers of so-called direct plug connector.
  • a direct connector is called plug-in devices whose contacts directly contact conductor sections of printed circuit boards.
  • A1 disclosed contacts can be produced direct connectors, which at any point of a printed circuit board - provided corresponding contact holes - are reversibly placed without the circuit board side, a connector counterpart, such as a contact trough, must be attached.
  • a connector counterpart such as a contact trough
  • the object of the invention is to optimize a generic contact for direct connector for the arrangement in contact carriers.
  • the invention is achieved by a plug contact with the features of claim 1, in particular with its characterizing features, according to which the first coupling portion is part of a mounting frame, which defines a continuous channel in the insertion direction.
  • the mounting frame offers the possibility to serve as a holding part for fixing the contact in the contact carrier.
  • the offers Mounting frame however, the significant advantage that it significantly extends the functionality of the plug contact as a carrier of other components.
  • the mounting frame forms a second coupling section, which is arranged in particular diametrically opposite the first coupling section.
  • the mounting frame for example, a conductor connecting portion springs, which extends in the opposite direction to the plug portion, but this has an offset. In this way it is possible to provide two conductor connection sections for the connection contact.
  • the mounting frame carries an insulation displacement fork as a conductor connection portion, which arises from a coupling portion, in particular, that each coupling portion each originates an insulation displacement fork.
  • the insulation displacement technology has proven itself for certain automation processes in the production of connectors.
  • the arrangement of two insulation displacement forks on the plug contact and their spacing over the mounting frame increases the contact reliability between plug contact and connection conductor considerably.
  • the mounting frame carries a stabilizing part, which springs from the second coupling portion, in particular the same direction to the plug portion.
  • This stabilizing part ensures correct alignment of the plug-in section initially during assembly of the plug-in contact in the contact carrier.
  • the stabilizing part also counteracts lateral forces during the actual plugging operation For example, be caused by asymmetrically formed contact fingers.
  • the stabilizing part is a stabilizing fork, whose arms serve to support on a contact carrier.
  • the mounting frame carries a latching element, by means of which the plug-in device can be arranged within a contact carrier.
  • the locking element is a locking cam, which is formed directly from the second coupling part or part of a part of the coupling part springing latching leaf.
  • the locking element can be recognized independently of the actual contact organs for optimal mounting of the contact in contact carrier.

  • the plug contact 10 according to the invention can be analogous to the contact in FIG. 1 in a conductor connection portion 11, a first coupling portion 12 and a plug portion 13 divide.
  • the plug-in section 13 directed downwards from the first coupling section 12 comprises the same contact fingers 14, which are already in FIG. 1 are shown and described, which originate from a common origin 15. Even with the contact according to the invention, the contact finger 114A is supplemented by a contact tip 16, which leads in the direction of insertion opposite the contact finger 14. Thus, the finger 14A in the contact according to the invention is longer than the contact finger 14B.
  • the first coupling portion 12 is part of a mounting frame 17, which defines a channel open in the direction of insertion and thus extends transversely to the direction of insertion.
  • the mounting frame 17 forms two in the opposite direction to the coupling portion 12 springing mounting arms 18, which extend transversely to the direction of insertion and are merged with their ends in a second coupling portion 19. Since the plug contact 10 is a stamped and bent part, the mounting arm 18A is formed in two parts, whereas the mounting arm 18B is in one piece.
  • the mounting frame 17 can be used in many ways. First, it is conceivable that the plug contact 10 is mounted by means of the mounting frame in a contact carrier, wherein the mounting frame 17, for example, frictional, force, or positively a contact carrier side retaining pin can engage around.
  • the mounting frame 17 is used to carry more, the plug-in contact 10 with advantageous properties to equip components.
  • two conductor connection components 20 can be arranged in the region of the conductor connection section 11 by means of the mounting frame 17, wherein a first conductor connection component 20 originates from the first coupling section 12 and a second conductor connection component 20 from the second coupling section 19.
  • the in the FIGS. 2 to 7 illustrated contact 10 uses this advantage to provide a first insulation displacement fork 21 and a second insulation displacement fork 22 and thus to ensure a higher contact reliability and a better electrical transition in the contacting of terminal leads, not shown.
  • the second coupling portion 19 also originates in the insertion direction, a stabilizing part 23 which cooperates with a corresponding recess in a contact carrier.
  • a stabilizing part 23 which cooperates with a corresponding recess in a contact carrier.
  • it is designed as a stabilizing fork 24, whose fork arms additionally carry outwardly pointing thickenings, by means of which the stabilizing fork 24 is held in a corresponding contact carrier recess.
  • the stabilizing member 23 acts initially upon insertion of the plug-in contact 10 according to the invention by imposing on the plug-in contact 10 and in particular its plug-in section 13 an ideal position tolerating only finished tolerances.
  • the stabilizing member 23 acts also on the placement of a connector on a circuit board, by the asymmetric shaping of the contact fingers 14A and 14B owed lateral forces intercepts and prevents tilting of the plug contact 10 within the contact carrier during the insertion process.
  • the stabilizing part 23 also has another function. It carries a locking cam 26 and may itself have spring return elastic properties. With the help of the locking cam of the plug contact 10 can be held by a suitable mating component on the part of the contact carrier, for example, in a pre-assembly, which prepares the connector 10 itself for contacting the leads.
