Description

The present invention relates to a snow sports helmet with a swivel and lockable visor.

Winter sports helmets are worn today by many winter sports enthusiasts as head protection, especially by skiers and snowboarders. Typically, the snow sports helmet is combined with a separate pair of skis or sunglasses to protect the eyes from snow, rain, sunlight, wind and other environmental conditions.

However, known ski goggles are impractical, especially for spectacle wearers. In addition, there is always the risk of losing with a separate glasses. For this reason, snow sports helmets with "integrated" ski or sunglasses were developed.

For example, disclosed FR 2 965 152 a ski helmet with a visor as a sunscreen. The visor can be moved by means of a lever at the front of the ski helmet continuously from an open position to a driving position, wherein it lies in the open position between an outer and an inner helmet layer.

Out EP 2 229 829 . US 7,716,754 and US 2014/0157474 are snow sports helmets with visors fastened on both sides. In all three cases, the visor is continuous from one open position to another Driving position swiveling. These snow sports helmets have the disadvantage that here the visor due to gravity - at best against the will of the wearer - close.

This is prevented in the snow sports helmets according to the international design registrations DM 085 993 and DM 086 037 in that the fastening and pivoting mechanism has locking positions in which the visor engages and therefore can not move without the influence of the wearer. For this purpose, the visor at its end regions in each case a hole with locking projections, which engage in corresponding Rasteinbuchtungen on a connecting element and thus form the locking positions.

It has been shown, however, that wear and tear and damage to the visor may result from prolonged use and excessive pivoting of the visor.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a snow sports helmet with a pivotable and lockable visor, whose stability and longevity is improved.

This object is achieved by the snow sports helmet according to claim 1. Preferred embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.

The present invention relates to a snow sports helmet having lateral attachment means for attachment of a visor on both sides. It should the visor in the attached state from an open position to a driving position be pivotable, wherein at least in the open position and in the driving position locking positions are present.

The adapter has a first means for fixed connection of the visor with the adapter and a second means for forming a pivotable and latchable connection mechanism with one of the lateral attachment means of the snow sports helmet.

The adapter allows secure attachment of the visor to the snow sports helmet. At the same time, it ensures a simple pivoting of the visor from the open position to the driving position, wherein an unwanted pivoting is prevented by the locking positions.

The main advantage of the adapter, however, is that damage to the visor can be completely avoided by the pivoting process. Through the adapter, the connection mechanism no longer acts directly on the visor, so that wear can be prevented.

The second means comprises a convex element or a concave element for forming the pivotable and latchable connection mechanism. This allows a simple formation of a pivotable connection by cooperation with a corresponding concave or convex element of the fastening means.

Rasteinbuchtungen zusammenzuwirken. In particular, the convex element or concave element also has at least one latching indentation or at least one locking projection for fixing locking positions. These are intended to cooperate in the connected state with corresponding latching projections or Rasteinbuchtungen.

There are two at least approximately diametrically opposite Rasteinbuchtungen or locking projections available. As a result, a certain clamping effect in the radial direction can be achieved, which promotes engagement and improves the overall fastening.

The at least one latching recess or the at least one latching projection is optionally formed on a spring clip. Such a spring clip allows easier pivoting from one locking position to another. Preferably, either the adapter or the fastening element has at least one spring clip. According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the second means in addition to at least one latching indentation or at least one latching projection on a recess or a projecting stopper anchor. As a result, pivoting beyond the open position or driving position can be prevented. This is advantageous in particular because, when pivoting beyond the open position, the visor can strike against the snow sports helmet and can be damaged, and because, when pivoting beyond the driving position, there is a certain risk of injury to the wearer.

The connection of the adapter with the visor can be made basically detachable or non-detachable.

According to a preferred embodiment, the first means for fixed connection of the visor with the adapter at least one recess into which an end portion of the visor can be inserted. In this case, the end region is preferably introduced along a longitudinal axis L of the adapter. By inserting the visor end portion into the recess, a secure mounting of the visor is ensured on the adapter and in particular prevents torsion, whereby the visor could be damaged.

Dabei liegen Boden und Halteabschnitt vorzugsweise flächig am Endbereich des Visiers an.Particularly preferably, the recess is bounded by a bottom and an at least approximately parallel to the bottom holding portion wherein the end portion of the visor between the bottom and the holding portion can be inserted. In this case, the bottom and holding section are preferably flat against the end region of the visor.

According to a preferred embodiment, the first means for fixed connection of the visor with the adapter at least one opening for receiving a pin and / or at least one knob for insertion into a breakthrough on the visor. Through this opening (s) and / or knob (s), a displacement of the visor relative to the adapter, in particular in the longitudinal direction L, is prevented. In addition, if the above-described recess is present, in particular slipping out of the end portion of the recess is prevented. This ensures a firm connection.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the adapter according to the invention has both the above-described recess and at least one opening and / or at least one pimple up. This ensures an optimal connection between visor and adapter.

Particularly preferably, the adapter in the bottom has a first opening and in a at least approximately parallel to the bottom retaining tab on a first opening aligned second opening. Such an arrangement of two superimposed openings allows the insertion of a pin or other fixing element. Ideally, the visor also has a corresponding, aligned in the connected state with the two openings breakthrough, so that the pin or other fixing element can be passed through the bottom, visor and retaining tab.

The material of the visor is usually dictated by its function: it should be transparent, shatterproof, bendable to a degree and relatively light. It can therefore not be chosen arbitrarily.

The material of the adapter, however, must meet far fewer requirements and, for example, not be transparent. According to a preferred embodiment, the adapter is made of plastic or a composite material, in particular of a thermoplastic material. Particularly preferably, the adapter consists of polyamide or polycarbonate, in particular of nylon-polyamide PA 66. These materials are sufficiently stable to prevent damage, and at the same time sufficiently flexible to ensure easy pivoting and locking. They are unbreakable and abrasion-resistant, even at high temperatures, thus ensuring high precision. At the same time, an adapter made of these materials is also relatively lightweight, so be that Weight is not detrimental to the wearing comfort of the snow sports helmet.

As described above, a stable and wear-resistant attachment of the visor on the snow sports helmet is made possible by the use of the adapter, at the same time the pivoting and locking are guaranteed. Preferably, an adapter according to one of the preferred embodiments described above is used.

The present invention relates to a snow sports helmet with a swivel visor, wherein the visor is attached by means of two adapters on the snow sports helmet. The advantages described above in connection with the adapter are achieved.

According to a preferred embodiment, the visor is releasably attached to the snow sports helmet. This allows the visor when needed, for example, if it is scratched or another color / protective function is desired, be solved by snow sports helmet and replaced.

Particularly preferred are the connection mechanisms between the adapters and the lateral ones Fasteners of the snow sports helmet detachable. In this case, the visor and the adapters are replaced.

For this purpose, in particular the lateral fastening means may each comprise a screw for releasably securing the respective adapter. This allows a particularly easy handling.

Alternatively or additionally, it is also possible that the connection between visor and adapter is designed to be detachable.

According to a preferred embodiment, the lateral fastening means of the snow sports helmet each have a connecting element which is the same as the convex or concave elements of the adapter and has at least one latching projection or at least one latching recess for fixing latching positions, the latching projections or latching inlets of the lateral fastening means being at least one latching projection Rasteinbuchtung or correspond to the at least one locking projection of the second means of the respective adapter and cooperate in the connected state with this / m. By these corresponding locking projections and Rasteinbuchtungen the locking positions of the connecting mechanism 'are set. In each case, a latching projection engages in a latching indentation and thus prevents the visor from swinging on its own.

According to a preferred embodiment, either the at least one latching projection or the at least one latching recess of the lateral fastening means or the at least one latching recess or the at least one latching projection of the second means of the adapter is formed on a spring clip. By such a spring clip the respective latching projections or the respective latching indentation is resiliently mounted, so that the spring force of the spring clip must be overcome for pivoting from one latching position to the next. By a suitable choice of material and geometry while the force required can be adjusted so that a wearer can easily swing the visor, while pivoting purely due to gravity (or any centrifugal forces during snow sports) is avoided.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the adapters each have a concave element with two at least approximately diametrically opposed latching projections for fixing detent positions and with a recess for preventing pivoting beyond the open position or driving position, while the lateral fastening means each having a convex portion Has at least four, preferably at least six, in pairs at least approximately diametrically opposite, arranged on two spring clips Rasteinbuchtungen for fixing detent positions and a protruding, arranged in the circumferential direction between the spring clips stop anchor for preventing pivoting over the open position or driving position also has. In this case, the two locking projections of the adapter engage in two at least approximately diametrically opposite Rasteinbuchtungen the lateral fastener engage and the stop armature of the lateral fastener engages in the recess of the adapter.

By providing pairwise at least approximately diametrically opposed locking projections or Rasteinbuchtungen is an optimal attachment reached. In particular, a pressing action is achieved by the mutually facing locking projections or Rasteinbuchtungen that additionally improves the engagement.

According to a preferred embodiment, the adapters are each attached to the visor by means of a fixing element. For this purpose, the adapter preferably at least one opening and the visor on at least one opening, through which a pin of the fixing can be introduced. Alternatively, however, the adapter could also have a nub, which are introduced into apertures on the visor and on the fixing element. Particularly preferably, the adapter in the bottom has a first opening and in a at least approximately parallel to the bottom retaining tab on the first opening aligned second opening, so that the pin can be passed through both.

According to a particularly preferred embodiment, the fixing element has a flat area and a protruding therefrom pin having a free end which is passed through the at least one opening in the adapter, in particular by the two aligned openings in the adapter, and by a breakthrough in the visor. Particularly preferably, the pin is fixed by means of an undercut at the free end of the pin. For this purpose, the pin may have at its free end, for example, an extension which engages behind the retaining tab of the adapter in the connected state.

According to a preferred embodiment, the visor is self-supporting.

The visor is usually made of polycarbonate, which may be tinted, mirrored, coated with a fog stop and / or provided with a polarizing filter. The visor may optionally have a circumferential or interrupted frame. Preferably, it has a flexible sealing lip at its upper edge. Such frames and sealing lips are well known in the art.

Alternatively or additionally, the visor may have a face seal in a lower edge area. This may consist in particular of foam. It serves to prevent the ingress of snow and other debris and to regulate the flow of air under the visor, in particular to avoid tarnishing. Such face seals are well known in the art.

The present invention is further illustrated by a concrete embodiment shown schematically in the drawing.

The adapter 10 has a substantially trapezoidal, flat recess 20 which is used for fixed connection of the visor 12 (not shown here; FIGS. 3 to 6 ) with the adapter 10 is used. The recess 20 is delimited by a flat bottom 22, and two side walls 24 projecting substantially at right angles from the bottom 22, and a rear wall 26 connecting the side walls and likewise projecting substantially at right angles from the bottom 22.

On the rear wall 26 opposite side of the recess 20 connects a substantially parallel to Floor 22 extending, planar holding portion 30, the two side walls 24. Seen along a longitudinal axis L of the adapter 10, the holding portion 30 begins where the bottom 22 ends.

The bottom 22 also has two frusto-conical nubs 32, which are intended to be inserted into corresponding apertures on the visor 12 (not shown here; FIG. 4 ) to be introduced.

From the rear wall 26 in the direction of the holding portion 30 toward an approximately parallel to the bottom 22 extending retaining tab 34 is from.

Die zweite Öffnung 38 liegt mittig über der ersten Öffnung 36.In the bottom 22, a first opening 36 is present, which is aligned with a second opening 38 in the retaining tab 34. In the present case, the first opening 36 is significantly larger than the second opening 38, and the first opening 36 is D-shaped, while the second opening 38 is circular. The second opening 38 is located centrally above the first opening 36.

Between the bottom 22 and the holding portion 30, a gap is left open, through which the visor 12 along the longitudinal axis L of the adapter 10 can be inserted into the recess 20 and fixed there, as described below in connection with the FIGS. 3 and 4 is described in more detail.

In the area of the rear wall 26 retaining tab-side two circular cylindrical positioning recesses 44 are present. These allow automatic assembly.

Furthermore, the adapter 10 has a storage area 50 directed away from the recess 20 along the longitudinal axis L and protruding from the rear wall 26. This serves, together with a lateral attachment means of the snow sports helmet 14 (not shown here; FIGS. 3 to 6 ) form a pivotable and latchable connection mechanism.

The storage area 50 is flat and substantially annular. On the outside, the storage area 50 is circular arc-shaped and on the inside it has a substantially oval hole 52, which serves as a concave element for forming the pivotable and latchable connection mechanism '.

At the bearing area 50 are two diametrically opposite, projecting into the oval hole 52 and facing each other locking projections 54 are provided, which serve to define locking positions.

In addition, the storage area 50 also has a wider, executed to the rear wall 26 recess 56. In the connected state, the recess 56 serves to prevent pivoting beyond the open position or driving position, as described below in connection with the FIGS. 3 to 5 is described.

FIG. 3 shows the adapter 10 from the Figures 1 and 2 together with a separate connecting element 60 and a separate fixing element 62 as well as a part of a sight 12, of which an end region 70 is inserted into the recess 20 of the adapter 10. Analogously shows FIG. 4 the same elements as FIG. 3 , but with the end area 70 of the visor 12 is fixed by means of the fixing element 62 in the recess 20 of the adapter 10.

The visor 12 is preferably made of tinted and mirrored polycarbonate and has a rounded, elongated shape, of which in the present case, however, only a portion 70 having an end portion is shown. The visor 12 may also optionally have a frame and / or a face seal, which are presently also not shown.

For further attachment of the visor 12 on the adapter 10, the one-piece fixing element 62 is used. It has a flat area 80 and an integral pin 82 protruding therefrom. The areal area 80 corresponds in size and shape to the first opening 36 in the bottom 22 of the recess 20 of the adapter 10, so that the areal area 80 can be inserted into the first opening 36. In the present case, both are essentially D-shaped.

The pin 82 is arranged centrally on the area 80 and faces from this at least approximately at right angles. At its free end, the substantially cylindrical pin 82 has an extension 84 which forms an undercut together with the pin 82.

Dabei hintergreift der Fortsatz 84 die Haltelasche 34 des Adapters 10.For attachment of the visor 12 on the adapter 10, the pin 82 with the extension 84 first in succession through the first opening 36 of the adapter 10, the central opening 74 of the visor 12 and the second opening 38 of the adapter 10 is passed and fixed by means of the undercut , In this case, the extension 84 engages behind the retaining tab 34 of the adapter 10th

The side of the area 80 from which the pin 82 protrudes lies against the end area of the visor 12, while the side facing away from the pin is flush with that of the sight 12 remote outer surface of the floor 20.

The one-piece connecting element 60 is essentially circular and preferably also consists of a thermoplastic, in particular nylon-nylon PA 66. It comprises a lower layer 90 and an integral upper layer 92 protruding from the lower layer 90. The upper layer 92 extends substantially parallel to the lower layer 90 and has a smaller diameter than the latter. The two layers 90, 92 are connected to one another in the region of the longitudinal axis L.

Die obere Schicht 92 liegt im ovalen Loch 52 des Lagerbereichs 50.In the connected state, the underside of the lower layer 90 facing away from the upper layer 92 rests against the snow sports helmet 14, while its upper side rests against the underside of the storage area 50 (not shown here). The upper layer 92 lies in the oval hole 52 of the storage area 50.

The upper layer 92 has a web 94 extending along the longitudinal axis L with a central bore 96. The bore 96 is intended to be penetrated by the shaft of a screw for releasably securing the adapter 10 and connector 60 on the snow sports helmet 14.

From the bottom of the lower layer 90 are two pins 98, which are intended to be inserted into corresponding recesses on the snow sports helmet 14 (not shown).

The upper layer 92 has two projecting from the web 94, rounded spring clip 104, wherein between the web 94 and the spring clips 104 each have a banana-like opening 106 is present. The spring clip 104 act as a corresponding oval hole 52 of the adapter 10, convex element and have on its outer side each three Rasteinbuchtungen 110 and a further indentation 112. In each case, two diametrically opposite Rasteinbuchtungen 110 serve to define one of the locking positions, while the two also diametrically opposite, terminal further indentations 112 improve the spring characteristics of the spring clip 104.

To connect the adapter 10 with the connecting element 60, the upper layer 92 is inserted into the oval hole 52 of the storage area 50 and brought into abutment with the inside thereof. In this case, the latching projections 54 of the adapter 10 engage in the latching indentations 110 of the connecting element 60 and thus form one of the latching positions.

For pivoting the adapter 10 relative to the connecting element 60, the two parts are pivoted relative to each other about the axis of the central bore 96. In the process, the spring clips 104 yield and thus enable the displacement of the latching projections 54 into the respective latching indentations 110 adjacent in the pivoting direction, where the next latching position is formed.

In the present case 110 three detent positions are defined by the locking projections 54 and Rasteinbuchtungen, of which the two outer correspond to an open position or a driving position of the visor 12 and the middle defines an intermediate position with partially open visor 12. In this case, an abutment anchor 118 that protrudes from the web 94 in the upper layer 92 along the longitudinal axis L and engages in the recess 56 of the bearing area 50 in the connected state prevents it from being pivoted beyond the open position or driving position.

At the end of the web 94 remote from the stop anchor 118, the upper layer 92 in the present case has a round positioning recess 120, which enables automatic assembly.

On the in FIG. 5 The detail shown is the adapter 10 according to the invention according to the presently described embodiment seen in side view, as he interacts with the visor 12, the fixing member 62, the connecting member 60 and a snow sports helmet 14. In this case, the bottom 22 of the adapter 10 is the outer environment and the holding portion 30 facing the snow sports helmet 14.

The end portion 70 of the visor 12 is inserted into the recess 20 of the adapter 10 and fastened there by means of the fixing element 62.

At its upper edge it is provided with an L-shaped, elastic sealing lip 126, while at its lower edge an only partially elastic skirt 128 is present. Sealing lip 126 and skirt 128 each connect with a slight distance to the holding portion 30 of the adapter 10.

Die Aussenoberfläche der oberen Schicht 92 ist zumindest im Wesentlichen bündig mit der Aussenoberfläche des Lagerbereichs 50 des Adapters 10.The upper layer 92 of the connecting element 60 is arranged in the oval hole 52 of the adapter 10, wherein the latching projections 54 engage in two of the Rasteinbuchtungen 110 and the stopper armature 118 engages in the recess 56. The outer surface of the upper layer 92 is at least substantially flush with the outer surface of the storage area 50 of the adapter 10.

FIG. 6 shows a snow sports helmet 14 in side view, to which the visor 12, 12 'by means of the inventive adapter 10, 10' is attached.

In the present case, the visor 12 'for illustration both in the open position (visor 12' folded upwards and substantially outside the field of view of a user), as well as in the driving position (visor 12 folded down) shown. In practice, the visor 12, 12 'but of course only one of these positions - or in the presence of more than two locking positions and a predefined position in between - occupy.

Eine solche Gesichtsdichtung besteht vorzugsweise aus Schaumstoff und liegt in Fahrstellung am Gesicht des Trägers an.In the driving position, the sealing lip 126 on the outside of the helmet 14 is located (not visible here), thus preventing the penetration of snow, rain or other foreign bodies and excessive draft. Preferably, the visor 12, 12 'also on the inside at its lower edge on a face seal (not visible here). Such a face seal is preferably made of foam and is in driving position on the face of the wearer.

In the open position, the visor 12, 12 'lifted off the helmet 14. As a result, the helmet 14 according to the invention is particularly suitable for spectacle wearers.

In the embodiment shown in the drawing, an additional intermediate position between the open position and the driving position additionally engageable. In this intermediate position, the visor 12, 12 'lies largely outside the field of vision of the wearer and forms a forward-facing "roof" which protects the eyes of the wearer from sunlight, rain or snow.

In the present case, a screw 134 is present, which is passed through the oval hole 52 of the adapter 10, 10 'and the central bore 96 of the connecting element 60 and is screwed to the helmet 14. This ensures a detachable connection.
