Description

OBJET DE L'INVENTIONOBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a timepiece provided with a mechanism making it possible to retract an actuating member, and, in particular, a chronograph pusher, when it is not in operation.

ARRIÈRE-PLAN TECHNOLOGIQUE ET ÉTAT DE LA TECHNIQUETECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND AND STATE OF THE ART

To avoid untimely triggering of watch chronographs as well as damage to the associated control members such as the pushers, it is preferable to hide the latter as long as the user does not use them. For this purpose, different systems are proposed. There are covers attached to the rotating bezel as described in the document CH 567 300 where the bezel is provided with a range which, depending on the angular placement of the bezel, covers or does not cover the pushers respectively. These systems have the disadvantage of being bulky and unattractive. There are also systems with retractable pushers as described in the document EP 1 582 945 where the displacement of the pusher between a retracted position and an extended position is linked to the angular displacement of a wall secured to the bezel. In this invention, the wall covers and compresses the pusher towards the inside of the case when it is opposite the pusher and conversely releases it in the external position ready for use when the wall is not opposite. . This system has the disadvantage that friction, all the more marked in the presence of dust, is constantly established between the outer surface of the pusher and the wall of the bezel during the rotational movement of the bezel. Over time, unsightly grooves will develop on a part of the pusher which is visible to the eye of the user when the pusher is in the deployed position.

Other examples of timepieces comprising retractable control members by rotating bezels are described in the documents CH316833A , JP2015068778A And CH700535A1 .

RÉSUMÉ DE L'INVENTIONSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the state of the art by producing a timepiece fitted with a retracting mechanism which does not require any relative movement between the visible outer surface of the pusher and the part cooperating with the latter during retraction.

To this end, a timepiece according to appended claim 1 is proposed and particular embodiments are included in the dependent claims.

DESCRIPTION DÉTAILLÉE DE L'INVENTIONDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a timepiece of the wristwatch type provided with one or more pushers intended to actuate a function such as, for example, a chronograph function. According to the invention, the wristwatch is provided with means for retracting the pushers when they are not in use.

The wristwatch 1 visible among others at figures 1 and 2 comprises a bidirectional rotating bezel 2 rotatably mounted on a caseband 6 in a conventional manner. In the example shown, the bezel 2 comprises an inner cylindrical bearing surface 2a fitted to an outer cylindrical bearing surface 6a of the middle part to ensure rotational guidance of the bezel on the middle part 6 (see figure 4 ). The axial retention of the bezel 2 on the middle part is ensured by a ring 3 arranged in a housing L formed partially in the inner cylindrical bearing surface 2a of the bezel and in the outer cylindrical bearing surface 6a of the middle part when the bezel is in place on the middle part . More specifically, the housing L is formed by radial annular grooves formed respectively in the inner cylindrical bearing surface of the bezel and in the outer cylindrical bearing surface of the caseband facing each other, the ring being mounted in this housing in such a way so that it extends in the mounted position both in the groove of the bezel and in the groove of the caseband. The caseband 6 comprises on its upper peripheral surface graduations and, for example, fixed graduations of a tachymeter. The actuating member of the function to be triggered comprises a cover 8 housing a push-button 12 shown in detail in figure 17 . The pusher 12 conventionally comprises an actuating head 12a fixed to one end of a rod 15 guided in translation and returned by a spring 13 in a tube 16 screwed in leaktight manner into the middle part 6. As shown, inter alia, in figure 4 And 5 , the opposite end of the stem 15 extending inside the caseband is intended to cooperate with a control member 4 of the function to be actuated associated with the pusher 12.

According to the invention, the cover 8 is movably mounted and can respectively adopt a deployed position outside the middle part 6, a retracted position inside the middle part 6, and a functional position also inside the middle part but having a movement inside the middle part greater than for the retracted position. The cover 8 is pivotally mounted as shown in figures 1 to 16 .

In the example illustrated, the cover 8 is pivotally mounted about an axis 9 integral with the middle part 6. Preferably, the cover 8 extends in a clearance of the middle part. A first position illustrated in figures 1 to 5 is the retracted position where the cover 8 is housed in the clearance and its upper surface is flush with the outer surface of the middle part 6 for aesthetic reasons and to avoid any snagging. A second position is the deployed position where the cover 8 free to move pivots outwards from the middle part 6 ( figures 6 to 10 ). From this position arises the functional position where, following actuation by the user, the cover 8 pivots towards the inside of the middle part 6 to trigger the associated function ( figures 11 to 14 ).

According to the invention, the movement of the cover between the retracted position and the deployed position is coupled to the angular movement of the bezel 2. The cover 8 and the bezel 2 have a particular profile which ensures cooperation between these two parts as will be described below.

Cover 8 visible in detail at figures 15 and 16 is surmounted by the support surface 10 operable by the finger of a user. It comprises on a side face a shoulder 11 which is distinct from the support surface 10 and forms a guide surface having a profile in the form of an arc of a circle, cooperating with the bezel 2 during rotation of the latter. To this end, the bezel 2 comprises on part of its perimeter a skirted part defining flanges 5 projecting towards the back of the wristwatch and moving on the guide surface of the various covers ( figures 3 to 5 ). These rims 5 in the form of an arc of a circle arranged at intervals on the perimeter of the bezel extend around the outer lateral surface of the middle part 6 above the lugs 7 of the middle part.

The flanges 5 are arranged on the perimeter of the bezel so that in the neutral position of the bezel, they face the covers 8 in order to cooperate with the shoulders 11 as illustrated in picture 3 . In this configuration, each cover 8 is held in the retracted position by a rim 5 resting on its shoulder 11. When the bezel is rotated through a given angle which is a function of the length of the flanges and the interval between the flanges, the latter are no longer in contact with the cover 8 as shown to the figure 8 . Consequently, the cover 8 under the effect of the spring 13 of the pusher 12 pivots towards the outside of the middle part 6 ( figures 8 to 10 ). The maximum deployment of the cowl 8 outwards is limited by its outer side wall on the side of its pivot axis 9 which comes into abutment against a side surface of the clearance of the middle part 6 in which the cowl 8 is mounted as shown in figure 8 . The cover is thus in the deployed position and can be actuated by the user. In function, the cover 8 pivots towards the inside of the middle part 6 with a maximum movement which is limited by the displacement of the pusher 12 abutting on the fixed tube 16 surrounding the stem 15 of the pusher ( figures 11 to 14 ).

Each shoulder 11 offers a guide surface designed to facilitate the engagement of the flange on the shoulder when the cowl 8 tilts from the deployed position of the figure 8 in the retracted position of the picture 3 . To facilitate this engagement, the shoulder 11 must be at an angle with respect to the bezel 2 when the cowl 8 is in the deployed position. This bias configuration can be induced by pivoting as shown in figure 8 .

Preferably, locking means are provided so that the user cannot actuate the control member by pressing on the support surface when the cover 8 is in the retracted position. The locking means, not shown, may include a stop integral with the bezel or the middle part limiting the movement of the cover towards the inside of the middle part. In addition, to prevent the bezel from moving freely outside determined angular positions corresponding to the retracted and deployed positions of the cover, the watch is provided with blocking means of the type known as spring balls. The watch further comprises means for limiting the angular displacement of the bezel in order to prevent that, when the cover is deployed, a rotation of the bezel in the wrong direction damages the covers and the rims. For example, the means can be abutments mounted on the caseband cooperating with the bezel.

By way of illustration, the present invention has been described for a wristwatch comprising two pushers with respective axes arranged at +28° and -28° relative to the 3 o'clock position, an angular displacement of 30° of the bezel causing a change in the position of the pushers. It goes without saying that other configurations are covered by the present invention. Likewise, in the example illustrated, the covers simultaneously pivot outwards from the caseband in the counterclockwise direction during the counterclockwise rotation of the bezel. Conversely, the pivot axes can be arranged so that the covers unfold clockwise during clockwise rotation of the bezel.

Finally, it will be specified, with regard to the cover 8 of the pusher, that the shoulder can be provided in the cover or formed by adding a part to a conventional pusher cover as shown in figure 16 . Also, the cover and the pusher can form two separate parts as in the example shown or form a single element.

AVANTAGES DE L'INVENTIONADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION

Thanks to the retracting mechanism according to the invention, the bearing surface of the cowl 8 is not subjected to friction during the angular displacement of the bezel 2. Only the shoulder which is not visible from the outside of the case middle when the pusher is retracted cooperates with the bezel and is therefore liable to scratch. It follows that the cover of the pusher does not undergo excessive wear linked to the use of the pusher. Thus, only the part forming the shoulder can be made of a wear-resistant material, the latter possibly being, for example, a ceramic or any other material having a similar wear resistance.

In the example described above, the bezel is actuated in rotation directly manually by the user, but it goes without saying that according to a variant not shown, provision can be made for the bezel to be rotated by a push-type mechanism and levers or by a thumbwheel mechanism kinematically connected to the bezel via a toothed wheel or the like.
