Das palettenartige Untergestell soll daher insbesondere Stoßbelastungen absorbieren, die auf den Innenbehälter beispielsweise bei einem Aufprall des Transport- und Lagerbehälters auf einem Boden, einwirken können. Insbesondere bei einem schrägen Auftreffen des Transport- und Lagerbehälters auf den Boden bzw. einem Untergrund kann es infolge der Massenträgheit eines im Innenbehälter befindlichen fließfähigen Mediums zu einer Verformung oder auch einem Verrutschen des Innenbehälters auf dem Boden des Untergestells kommen.
