Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of floor coverings that can be used for outdoor activities and in particular as sports floors or floors for children's play areas.
- the two most common types of exterior surfacing are synthetic bonded substrates and stabilized synthetic substrates.
- the substrate comprises a binder which may be resin, or bitumen matrix or a cement type hydraulic binder. This is the case, for example, so-called “quick” tennis courts or athletic tracks in "tartan”.
- a stabilized coating is in the form of substrates having no binder and mainly comprises sand. Stabilization is ensured by cohesion and mutual blocking of the constituent elements.
- An object of the present invention is to create an artificial coating of relatively inexpensive soils.
- Sand is the backbone of the substrate. It is preferentially chosen a siliceous sand.
- the size of the sand grains is specified by the mesh size of the sieve permitting 10% of the mass of sand, diameter noted D10 thereafter.
- D90 is the mesh size of the sieve allowing 90% of the mass of sand to pass.
- the sand used is characterized by its D10 and its coefficient of uniformity D90 / D10.
- the sand has a diameter D10 of between 0.15 mm and 0.27 mm and a uniformity coefficient D90 / D10 of between 1.54 and 2.04.
- the elastic material is used for its flexibility and its ability to absorb shocks.
- the elastic material is in the form of particles having a diameter or a length of between 1.5 and 30 mm.
- the elastic material is preferably an elastomer advantageously comprising ground waste derived from the automotive die.
- the elastomer mainly comprises crushed tires and tire retreading waste.
- the fibers ensure the cohesion and blocking of the various elements: these fibers have the role of stabilizing the coating.
- the substrate according to the invention is arranged to form a culture medium, for example turf.
- the substrate also contains grass seeds.
- the granulometries of the sand are provided to promote a compromise between the cohesion of the mixture (which must provide sufficient support for the users), the permeability, the retention capacity of part of the water received (so that grasses can be fed with water without having to water too often) and the ability to hold air (to promote the growth of grass roots).
- the substrate can also accommodate fertilizer products.
- the substrate contains microporous particles. These can be zeolite particles which have good water retention properties and mineral elements.
- the resulting composition produces the desired substrate characteristics.
- Sand is the bulk of the substrate. Sand grains 2 form the skeleton of the substrate.
- the value of D10 is between about 0.15 mm and 0.27 mm.
- the coefficient of uniformity D90 / D10 of the sand is between 1.54 and 2.04.
- the finest sand particles must be greater than 53 ⁇ m.
- Siliceous sand is preferred, for example, Fontainebleau sand. Silica provides a natural cohesion and also ensures the permeability function because the siliceous sand is only slightly compactable.
- the elastomer particles 3 provide the flexibility of the substrate.
- the elastomer is in the form of particles having a diameter or a length of between about 1.5 mm and 30 mm.
- the elastomer here comprises crushed waste from the automotive industry. It mainly contains crushed tires or tire treading waste (the elastomer then comprises carbon black with a content between 30% and 34%).
- the elastomer may also include seals, for example door seals, which are ground.
- the percentage of polymers is here of the order of 15% to 20% of the mixing volume.
- the textile fibers 4 ensure the cohesion and the blocking of the substrate.
- the textile fibers have a length of between 24 mm and 80 mm and a diameter of between 0.034 mm and 0.1 mm.

Description
US 2013/0125460 A1 .
- au moins 70 % du volume de substrat composé de sable ;
- au moins 5 % du volume de substrat composé d'au moins un matériau élastique ;
figures 1 et 2 , la composition du substrat pour revêtement de sols 1 selon le premier mode de réalisation est la suivante : - au moins 70 % du volume de substrat composé de sable 2 ;
- au moins 5 % du volume de substrat composé d'élastomère 3 ;
