- A method for mounting a mullion-transom structure, comprising the following steps:a) mounting a supporting profiled element (2) to a mullion-transom structure;b) inserting a head segment (11) of a fastening means (10) into an undercut groove (4) on the supporting profiled element (2) and positioning the fastening means (10) along the groove (4) of the supporting profiled element (2);c) repeating step b) until the desired number of fastening means (10) is provided on the supporting profiled element (2);d) placing at least one filling element (6) on the supporting profiled element (2);e) mounting a pressing strip (8) with a plurality of openings (21) for the passage of a respective threaded section (13) of a fastening means (10), respectively, andf) fixing the pressing strip (8) by a nut (14) on the threaded section (13),whereby the fastening means (10) are pivoted around an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the nut (4) before the mounting of a filling element (6) and are oriented essentially perpendicular to the plane of the filling elements (6) after mounting
characterized in that before step b) at least one recess (30) is produced on the groove (4) of the supporting profiled element (2) for inserting a head segment (11), whereby the recess is produced by shortening or by cutting off the inwardly protruding webs. - A method according to claim 13, characterized in that markings (31) for the alignment of the fastening means (10) are applied to the supporting profiled element (2).
- A method according to one of claims 13 or 14, characterized in that the pressing strip (8) is initially placed at opposite sides on a threaded section (54) of a glass support (50), and thereafter the fastening means (10) arranged between the glass supports (50) are threaded into openings (21) of the pressing strip (8).
