The glass cover preferably represents a glass plate. The glass cover covers at least part of the space delimited by the frame on the sides. The glass cover is also referred to below as a cover. The frame and the glass cover (s) preferably limit, ie define, the suction space in the viewing hood.

According to the invention, the frame has at least one inwardly directed flange in the lower region. A flange is understood to mean an area of the frame that is angled from the web, that is to say the outside of the frame. The at least one flange is preferably perpendicular to the web of the frame. In the assembled state of the extractor hood, the flange is preferably horizontal. According to the invention, a plurality of webs can be provided distributed over the inner circumference of the frame. However, a circumferential web is preferably provided in the lower region of the frame. The frame can be made from a profile that is cut and bent for fermentation. The fermentation cut is made in the flanges or flanges of the profile.

According to the invention, the glass cover is permanently attached to the frame. A non-detachable fastening is a fastening that cannot be undone without destruction. Thus, a non-releasable fastening differs from a fastening that can be detached, for example, using a tool, for example fastening by screws. The non-detachable fastening is preferably realized according to the invention by adhesive, that is to say the glass cover is glued to the frame. One side of the at least one flange can serve as the fastening surface for the non-detachable fastening. In particular, in the flange provided in the lower region, the underside of the flange is preferably used as a fastening surface, for example an adhesive surface.

A number of advantages can be achieved by the frame having at least one flange and the at least one glass cover being permanently connected to the frame according to the invention. On the one hand, the structure of the viewing hood compared to a viewing hood in which a glass cover is screwed on is simplified due to the reduced number of parts. In addition, the non-detachable connection is advantageous, since the connection surface is not on the side of the glass cover which is directed outwards when the viewing hood is installed. The side of the glass cover that is accessible from the outside can thus be a flat, continuous surface and thus the cleanability of the viewing hood can be improved. In addition, the inseparable fastening also prevents the glass cover from accidentally falling off, as would be possible if a removable glass cover were removed. Finally, the provision of the at least one flange simplifies the assembly of the extractor hood, since the glass cover can be placed on or inserted into the frame and, when it comes into contact with the flange, an installation position of the glass cover is recognized and the glass plate is aligned with the at least one flange can. In addition, the provision of a flange improves the hold of the glass cover on the frame. In the case of a frame which consists only of a vertical strip of material, for example a metal strip, a connection between a glass cover and the frame can only be made either via the outer edge of a glass cover which is inserted into the frame or the lower edge of the Frame must be connected to the top of the glass cover. In both cases, the size of the contact area is small. In the extractor hood according to the invention, however, a larger contact area is provided by the at least one flange, which can serve as an adhesive surface, for example.

The extractor hood and in particular the viewing hood are exposed to contaminated air from below. By providing the flange in the lower area of the frame and thus a lower glass cover can be placed on it, this surface exposed to the contaminants can be cleaned in a simple manner.

In the embodiment in which the glass cover is glued to the frame, the adhesive can only be applied selectively to the contact surface on which the glass cover lies against the frame. However, the adhesive is preferably designed as a continuous adhesive seam. The adhesive particularly preferably covers the entire contact area. An advantage of providing adhesive on the entire contact surface or at least as a continuous adhesive seam is that it can prevent the entry of contaminants into the suction space formed by the frame and the cover, since the frame and the cover are sealed from one another by the adhesive .

According to the invention, at least one glass cover is attached to the frame. The glass cover preferably has a width and a depth which corresponds to the width and depth of the frame on the inside thereof. The side running parallel to the outside of the frame is referred to as the inside. Alternatively, however, several glass covers can also be attached to the frame adjacent to one another. In this embodiment, the plurality of glass covers preferably have the width and depth of the frame together. The one or more glass covers are provided in the lower area of the frame. The upper region of the frame can be designed such that it forms, for example, the top of the viewing hood by means of a sheet metal molded or attached to the frame.

Unless otherwise stated, directional information such as above, below, front and rear refer to the extractor hood and its parts when assembled. In this state, the viewing hood forms the lower part of the extractor hood and a chimney can connect to the viewing hood at the top. The front is the side that faces the user of the extractor hood during normal use. In the case of a wall-mounted chimney, the side facing away from the mounting wall is therefore referred to as the front.

According to a preferred embodiment, the frame has two flanges and one of the flanges is the flange arranged in the lower region and the second flange is arranged in the upper region of the frame. In this embodiment, too, both flanges are preferably continuous flanges over the inner circumference of the frame. Alternatively, however, it is also possible to provide a plurality of flanges distributed over the inner circumference of the frame in the upper region and lower region.

By providing at least one flange both in the upper area and in the lower area of the frame, at least one glass cover can be positioned and fastened in each case in the upper area and in the lower area. This embodiment has the advantage that the upper side can also be easily cleaned, at least in the area in which it is formed by the glass cover.

According to the invention, the at least one flange is arranged in the lower region at a distance from the underside of the frame and a lower projection of the web of the frame is formed.

In particular, the at least one flange is not in the underside of the frame. Due to the distance to the underside, an overhang of the web of the frame is formed. In particular, a lower projection of the web is formed over the flange, which is located in the lower region of the frame.

According to a further embodiment, in the case of a frame which, in addition to the flange or flanges in the lower region, has one or more flanges in the upper region, the flange or flanges in the upper region of the frame can be arranged at a distance from the top of the frame and thus an upper one Protrusion of the web are formed.

By forming a protrusion, the glass cover, which is placed on the underside of the lower flange or on the upper side of the upper flange and preferably glued there, can be at least partially introduced into the frame. As a result, the edge of a glass cover is at least partially covered to the side and on the one hand, the contact area between the glass cover and the frame is increased, since the outside of the glass cover, which lies at least partially on the frame, acts as a contact area. On the other hand, the edge of the glass cover is at least partially protected from mechanical damage. The enlarged contact area, which can be used as an adhesive area, can further improve the hold of the glass cover on the frame.

According to one embodiment, the material thickness of the at least one cover corresponds to the height of the protrusion. As a result, the entire outer edge of the glass cover is available as a possible adhesive surface. In addition, the entire edge is protected from mechanical damage.

At least one of the at least one glass cover is preferably attached to the at least one flange. In particular, the glass cover is glued to a top or bottom of the flange. Additionally or alternatively, a contact surface on the outer edge of the glass cover can also be used for fastening the glass cover. The use of only the contact surface between the glass cover and the frame as an adhesive surface can be used advantageously in the upper glass cover. The upper glass cover can then be placed on the flange or flanges in the upper area of the frame and only the edge thereof can be glued to the frame. Thus, the weight of the glass cover can be borne at least partially by the flange and a preferably provided adhesive for permanent attachment only serves to fix the glass cover in this position.

According to a preferred embodiment, at least two glass covers are attached to the frame. The two glass covers are attached to different areas of the frame, in particular one in the upper area and the second in the lower area of the frame.

Particularly preferably, at least a part of the top of the viewing hood is formed by at least one upper glass cover and at least a part of the underside of the viewing hood by at least one lower glass cover. The upper glass cover particularly preferably forms the top of the viewing hood and the lower glass cover forms the Bottom of the viewing hood completely. However, at the edge of the respective glass cover, the upper edge or lower edge of the frame, in particular of a web, can lie in the top or bottom of the viewing hood. By virtue of the fact that, in addition to an edge of the frame projecting into the top or bottom of the viewing hood, the top and bottom are made of glass, these can be cleaned in a simple manner.
The size of the glass cover is preferably dimensioned such that it lies with at least one edge on the frame, in particular the inside of the frame. According to one embodiment, the viewing hood has at least one lower glass cover and the lower glass cover has an opening. The opening forms the outer edge of the suction opening, through which air can be sucked into the viewing hood. In a preferred embodiment, a baffle plate is arranged in the opening of the lower glass cover. The baffle plate can be attached to a further part of the extractor hood, for example an upper cover, the fan housing or the chimney. A circumferential slot is preferably formed between the opening of the lower glass cover and the baffle plate, through which a so-called edge suction can take place on the extractor hood.
According to a preferred embodiment, the frame has two flanges. The two flanges extend in the same direction. In this embodiment, the frame can represent a U-profile. The open side of the U-profile is directed inwards so that the web of the profile forms the outside of the viewing hood. By providing two flanges, a glass cover can be attached in the upper area and lower area of the frame.
According to one embodiment, the viewing hood has a back part in addition to the frame, which closes the frame to the rear. In this embodiment, the frame consists of a front and two side legs. The back part can be attached to the frame and / or to the glass cover (s). The two-part construction simplifies the manufacture of the viewing hood. The rear part preferably represents a U-profile. In particular, for example in the case of a frame on which two glass covers are provided, the rear part of the frame two flanges can be provided at such a distance that the upper and lower glass cover can be accommodated between the flanges. The frame is preferably produced by cutting a profile material, in particular a U-profile, possibly with protrusions of the webs, for fermentation and producing the frame by bending.

The frame is preferably made of metal or plastic. In the embodiment made of plastic, the surface of the frame can be provided, for example, with a metallic coating in order to improve the visual appearance.

In Figure 1 a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of the extractor hood 1 according to the invention is shown. In the illustrated embodiment, the extractor hood 1 has a viewing hood 10 and a chimney 14 which adjoins the viewing hood 10 at the top and extends upwards. The viewing hood 10 comprises a frame 11 and two glass covers, of which in Figure 1 only the upper glass cover 12 is visible. Of the frame 11 are in Figure 1 only the webs 114, which form the outside of the frame 11, are visible.

In Figure 2 is a schematic exploded view of the hood of the embodiment of the extractor hood of FIG Figure 1 shown. In this view it can be seen that in addition to the upper glass cover 12, a lower glass cover 13 in the viewing hood 10 is provided. In the upper glass cover 12, a recess 120 is made in the back into which the chimney 14 (see FIG. Figure 1 ) can be added or put on. In addition, in Figure 2 recognizable that an opening 130 is made in the lower glass cover, in which a baffle plate 131 is arranged, the size of which is smaller than the size of the opening 130 and thus an edge suction gap is formed.

You can also see in Figure 2 that in the embodiment shown the frame 11 comprises a front side 110 and two side legs 1101. The frame 11 thus forms an at least partially circumferential frame 11 of the viewing hood 10. A passage 1102 is introduced in the front 110, in which control elements (not shown) can be used. The frame 11 consists of a U-profile, the open side of which faces the interior of the viewing hood 10. The web 114 of the profile thus forms the outside of the frame 11 and thus the viewing hood 10. The web 114 also has an overhang on the top and bottom of each of the flanges 112, 113 of the U-profile. The flanges 112, 113 are directed inwards, the flange 113 being in the lower region of the frame 11. The more detailed structure of the frame will be described later with reference to the Figure 4 explained in more detail. In the embodiment shown, the viewing hood 10 also includes a rear part 111. The back part 111 is formed by a U-profile. The rear part 111 is also arranged such that the open side of the U-profile faces the interior of the viewing hood 10. In the illustrated embodiment, the back part 111 has a height which is less than the height of the frame 11 and the flanges of the back part 111 are provided on its upper edge and lower edge. The distance between the flanges of the rear part 111 corresponds to the distance between the upper and lower flange 112, 113 of the frame 11.

How out Figure 3 results, the rear part 111 can thus be inserted between the upper glass cover 12 and the lower glass cover 13 in the assembled state of the viewing hood 10 and be flush with the back of these two covers 12, 13. In the in Figure 3 shown state, the glass covers 12 and 13 are attached to the frame 11 by means of an adhesive connection and thus permanently connected to the frame.

In Figure 4 the structure of the frame 11 of the hood 10 is shown in more detail. In particular, it can be seen from this view that the flanges 112, 113 are each in the upper and the lower region of the frame 11 are arranged. The upper flange 112 is spaced from the upper edge of the frame 11, in particular offset downwards. As a result, an overhang 115 of the web 114 is formed between the upper flange 112 and the upper edge of the frame 11. In a similar manner, the lower flange 113 is spaced apart from the lower edge of the frame 11, in particular offset upwards. As a result, an overhang 116 of the web 114 is formed between the lower flange 113 and the lower edge of the frame 11.

The upper glass cover 12 is preferably glued to the contact surface with the upper flange 112, that is to say with the upper side thereof. In addition, the upper glass cover 12 lies with its outer edge on the inside of the overhang 115 of the frame 11. The upper glass cover 12 can also be glued to the frame 11 at this contact surface.

The lower glass cover 13 is preferably glued to the contact surface with the lower flange 113, that is to say with its underside. In addition, the lower glass cover 12 lies with its outer edge on the inside of the overhang 116 of the frame 11. The lower glass cover 13 can also be glued to the frame 11 at this contact surface.

Die MaterialstƤrke der Abdeckung 12 entspricht der Hƶhe des Ɯberstandes 115 und die MaterialstƤrke der Abdeckung 13 entspricht der Hƶhe des Ɯberstandes 116.The material thickness of the cover 12 corresponds to the height of the protrusion 115 and the material thickness of the cover 13 corresponds to the height of the protrusion 116.

A number of advantages can be achieved with the present invention. For example, a design fair, the viewing hood, which can also be referred to as a box, constructively consists of two horizontal glass covers, which can also be referred to as glass panes. The side walls of the viewing hood are formed by a frame, which can also be called a metal profile, and the frame is glued to the glass panes. This glass metal body can be attached to a standard fan box, which is housed in a fireplace, for example.

A U-profile made of metal or plastic, which is cut for fermentation at two or three points, is preferably used as the material for the tracks. Then it will Material folded at the fermentation points at a 90 Ā° angle to a U or to a closed frame. The frame is permanently glued on top and bottom with an appropriately dimensioned glass pane.
The upper glass pane preferably has a cutout for the chimney, the lower pane preferably has an opening, which can also be referred to as an opening, through which air can be passed to filters which can be provided in the viewing hood. According to one embodiment, the glass covers can each be color-printed on the side that represents the inside of the box. Illumination can be achieved by means of LED modules that are glued from the inside to the lower and / or upper glass pane. A window in the printing can be left out at the appropriate point.
For an operating module, a passage, which can also be called a cutout, can be milled from the front into the frame and in particular into the web of the profile, in order to be able to attach pushbuttons or touch controls. In order to protect the electronic bar from access by the user, additional metal walls can be introduced in the inner area of the hood. These would contribute to the further stability and cleanability of the device.
The present invention has a number of advantages. Firstly, the extractor hood is easy to clean. On the other hand, the visual appearance of the extractor hood is improved and its structure simplified.
Furthermore, there is no redundant and costly material accumulation. Decorative elements are not additional elements but construction elements. LED modules can emit heat to the glass or metal elements, so that no separate heat-conducting bodies are necessary.
The present invention has been described essentially with reference to a boxesse. In an example that is not part of the invention, the extractor hood can also be a so-called hip roof. In this example, the viewing hood then only has a lower glass cover. The top of the viewing hood, however, can be formed by appropriately shaped sheet metal.
