Description

Extractor hoods are known in which the extractor hood includes a viewing hood. The viewing hood is the part of the extractor hood in which the intake opening, through which air can enter the extractor hood, and at least one outlet opening, through which air can reach the fan of the extractor hood, is provided. The viewing hood usually has a box shape, the top, side walls and part of the bottom are formed by a bent metal sheet.

In order to guide the air between the suction opening and the outlet opening, it is known to use a so-called inner frame in the viewing hood. Such an inner frame is, for example, in WO 2011 020803 A1 described. This inner frame is attached to the fan box, ie the housing surrounding the fan, and forms a basic structure with the fan box. The viewing hood, in particular the outer hood, is fastened to this basic structure, for example a suitably bent metal sheet.

A disadvantage of such known extractor hoods is that the extractor hood is difficult to clean.

An opening in the viewing hood, in particular the outer hood, through which air can be routed to the fan of the extractor hood, is referred to as an outlet opening. The blower is also referred to as a fan and the housing in which the blower is housed is also referred to as a fan box. According to the invention, the air passage of the inner element has a size and shape that corresponds to and is preferably the same as the size and shape of the outlet opening of the viewing hood.

Directional information such as up, down, front and rear and front, rear and the like, unless otherwise stated, refer to the extractor hood and its parts in the operating state of the extractor hood.

According to the invention, the inner element is connected to the viewing hood and the inner element consists of an elastically deformable material.

According to the invention, the inner element consists of an elastically deformable plastic. The use of an elastically deformable material for the inner element has a number of advantages. On the one hand, the inner element can, for example, be inserted behind the edges of the outer hood of the extractor hood and, due to the elastic deformability, adapt to the shape of the outer hood. In addition, the inner element, which consists of an elastically deformable material, can be separated from the viewing hood by first detaching a small part, for example a corner of the inner element, from the viewing hood and then successively detaching the other areas of the inner element. This minimizes the amount of force required to detach the inner element from the viewing hood.

With the present invention and thus with the extractor hoods, the problem can be taken into account that in the course of operation of an extractor hood, this is wetted with grease. In addition to the design parts, functional parts such as electronics boxes that are provided in the viewing hood, including any protective cover that may be provided for this purpose, also become dirty. Since the cleanliness of these elements not only serves to ensure safety and functionality, but also contributes to the user's well-being, an inner element is used according to the invention which covers these elements and can be cleaned in a simple manner. In contrast to known extractor hoods in which an inner frame as a fixed element forms part of the load-bearing structure of the extractor hood and in which the inner frame usually occupies a horizontal position above the hob, cleaning is simplified with the present invention.

In addition, access to electronic components inside the extractor hood and in particular the viewing hood is facilitated because the inner element covering these components is either made of a flexible material that can be easily detached from the hood or the inner element can be moved relative to the hood and so allow access. This accessibility is particularly advantageous for customer service.

According to one embodiment, the inner element represents an element that is separate from a grease filter of the extractor hood. As already explained above, one or more filter elements can be accommodated in the viewing hood. Since these represent separate elements from the inner element in the embodiment, the filters can be removed from the extractor hood separately from the inner element, for example for cleaning in the dishwasher. The inner element, on the other hand, can remain on the extractor hood and only be brought into a cleaning position when required, for example folded down or removed from the viewing hood. In addition, with the separate configuration of the filter for the inner element, the user of the extractor hood does not have to hold the weight of the filter together with the inner element when both components are to be cleaned. This makes cleaning the extractor hood even easier.

According to one embodiment, the inner element is constructed in several parts. In particular, an inner element is referred to as multi-part, the covered surface of which is formed by at least two adjacent parts. For example, the inner element representing a pan, the inner element can consist of two pan halves, a left pan half and a right pan half. A part of the air passage of the inner element is formed in each part of the inner element. This configuration further simplifies the cleaning of the extractor hood. In particular, the parts of the inner element can be detached using less force and the weight of the individual parts is reduced compared to the total weight of the inner element and is therefore easier for the user to handle.

According to a further embodiment, the inner element can be removed from the extractor hood. In this case, an inner element is referred to as being removable, which can be detached from the extractor hood and in particular from the viewing hood and there particularly preferably from the outer viewing hood. In this case, the loosening preferably takes place without tools having to be used. Such a tool-free release of the inner element can be achieved, for example, by moving, levering or some other movement of the inner element. In the embodiment in which the inner element is pivotably attached to the viewing hood, the mounting of the inner element can be released to remove the inner element. Alternatively, however, it is also possible for the inner element to be removed from the extractor hood without pivoting is removed. This can be the case, in particular, in which the inner element is connected to the viewing hood, for example via magnetic or clamp connections. In this case, the inner element can be removed from the bottom of the extractor hood.

Since the inner element can be removed from the extractor hood, it can be cleaned in a dishwasher, for example, or it can be cleaned by the user in a sink, for example. Since the inner element can preferably be detached by the user without tools, cleaning is further simplified.

The inner element can be attached to the extractor hood at least in some areas via a form fit, magnetic connection and/or clamp connection. In an embodiment according to the invention, in which the inner element consists of an elastically deformable material, it can be fastened to the viewing hood by suitable undercuts by means of a form fit and/or force fit. Alternatively or additionally, magnetic connection mechanisms can also be used in all embodiments of the inner element. For this purpose, one or more magnets can be arranged on the outer hood and/or the inner element.

According to a preferred embodiment, the inner element consists at least in regions of a refractory material, in particular silicone. In this embodiment, it is particularly preferred if the entire inner element consists of silicone. Fastening devices such as magnets can be fastened to such an inner element. There are a number of advantages to using silicone. In particular, an elastically deformable inner element can be produced from silicone in a simple manner. In addition, contaminants from the air can be reliably retained on the surface of a silicone element. If necessary, the surface of the inner element can be modified by surface treatment in such a way that the retention of the impurities is improved. Such a surface treatment can be done with inner elements made of silicone but also with inner elements made of other plastics. In addition to improving adhesion, the surface treatment can also be used to improve the aerodynamic properties of the surface by preventing turbulence.

According to one embodiment, at least one air guiding element is provided on the inner element. Air guiding elements are parts that are at an angle to the respective surface, ie are inclined to the upper side and/or underside of the inner element on which they are provided. For example, one or more webs can be provided. The air guide element or elements are preferably aligned in such a way that they extend over at least part of the distance from the outer edge of the inner element to the air outlet. The one or more air guiding elements preferably have an aerodynamically optimized shape and position. The provision of air guiding elements on the inner element achieves the advantage that the air flow along the inner element can be improved, in particular calmed down. In particular, undesired turbulence can be prevented. As a result, the energy consumption of the extractor hood fan can be reduced and wind and engine noise can also be reduced. The one or more air guiding elements are preferably formed on the inner element, ie formed in one piece with the body of the inner element, for example a trough shape.

According to one embodiment, the at least one air guiding element is provided at least on the underside of the inner element. Additionally or alternatively, the at least one air guiding element can be provided on the edge of an air passage of the inner element to the outlet opening of the viewing hood. By providing the air guiding elements on the underside of the inner element, a reliable flow of the air flowing against the air guiding elements can be ensured. The provision of air guiding elements at the edge of the passage can additionally or alternatively prevent a laminar flow from breaking off when flowing along the edge and thus also lead to an improved air flow. Locating the airfoils on the underside of the inner member is possible with the present invention because cleaning of these structures can be easily accomplished by moving the inner member to a cleaning position or by detaching the inner member.

In figure 1 is a schematic, perspective side view of a first embodiment of the extractor hood 1 not according to the invention with an inner element 101 in the cleaning position. The embodiment of the extractor hood 1 shown represents a so-called boxesse. The extractor hood 1 comprises a chimney 11 and a viewing hood 10 adjoining it, which has a box shape in the illustrated embodiment. The viewing hood 10 includes an outer hood 100, which can consist of a bent sheet metal, for example. A suction opening 102 is formed in the underside of the viewing hood 10 and thus of the outer hood 100 . The intake opening 102 is limited to the sides and to the rear by the underside of the outer hood. In the illustrated embodiment, the suction opening 102 is bounded at the front by a light bar 1000 . An inner element 101 is fastened to the viewing hood 10 and in particular to the outer hood 100 . In the illustrated embodiment, the inner element 101 represents a frame that has a trough shape. The bottom of the tub shape faces upwards in the operating position. An air passage 1010, which can also be referred to as an air passage opening, is introduced into the bottom of the tub. Zudem verlƤuft die Schwenkachse durch die Vorderkante des Innenelementes 101.The inner member 101 is attached to the outer hood 100 at the front. The inner element 101 is connected to the viewing hood 10 and is movable relative to the viewing hood 10 . The inner element 101 is in particular mounted pivotably. the pivoting storage can be done by a hinge (not shown). In the illustrated embodiment, the inner element 101 is pivotably mounted in the front region of the suction opening 102, that is to say adjacent to the light strip 1000. The pivot axis of the pivotable inner element is therefore in the area of the front of the viewing hood 10. In addition, the pivot axis runs through the front edge of the inner element 101.

The inner element 101 is in figure 1 shown in a cleaning position. In this position, the inner element 101 is pivoted downwards from the horizontal and the back of the inner element 101 points downwards. In figure 1 Securing elements 1013 in the form of chains are also shown, which prevent the inner element 101 from pivoting further forward. from the inside figure 1 Cleaning position shown, the inner element 101 can be brought into an operating position. In the operating position (not shown), the inner element 101 lies in the outer hood 100. In particular, the rear side of the inner element 101 from the figure 1 cleaning position shown is pivoted upwards about the axis of rotation until the edge 1012 of the inner element 101 lies in the viewing hood 10, in particular the outer hood 100. To hold the inner element 101 in the operating position, latching means, for example latching lugs (not shown), can be provided on the back of the inner element 101, which can interact with corresponding latching means, for example latching openings (not shown) in the rear inner side of the outer hood 100.

In figure 2 12 is a schematic perspective top view of the first embodiment of the extractor hood 1 with the inner element 101 in the cleaning position, respectively figure 1 shown.

In figure 3 A schematic view of two embodiments of inner members 101 is shown. In the upper embodiment, the inner element 101 is formed in one piece and in the lower embodiment in two parts. The other features of the embodiments figure 3 are identical. The inner element 101 has a trough shape, the bottom of which is directed upwards when the inner element 101 is in the operating position in the extractor hood. An air passage 1010 in the form of a square opening is made in the bottom, which is located in the rear, central area of the inner element 101 is located. The inner member outer edge 1012 is formed by a horizontal flange along the front and both sides of the inner member 101 . Air guiding elements 1011 are provided on the underside of the inner element 101 . In the illustrated embodiment, two types of airfoils 1011 are provided. On the one hand, air guiding elements 1011 are provided in the form of webs, which extend radially from the outer edge of the inner element 101 in the direction of the air passage 1012 . Furthermore, air guide elements 1011 are provided, which are designed as short lugs on the edge of the air passage 1012 . The air guiding elements 1011 on the air passage 1012 partially extend into the surface of the air passage 1012 . In the illustrated embodiment, the air guiding elements 1011 have a material thickness that remains the same over the length and height. However, it is also within the scope of the invention to design the air guiding elements 1011 in such a way that their material thickness changes over the length and/or height of the air guiding element 1011 .

In the illustrated embodiment, the rear of the inner member 101 is formed by a vertically extending rear wall that is integral with the rear of the tub floor and the side walls of the tub.

At the bottom of the figure 3 shown embodiment, the inner element 101 consists of a left and a right half. That is, the inner panel 101 is separated along a parting line running from the front to the back at the center of the inner panel 101 . The two halves can be fastened to one another via locking means (not shown).

In figure 4 a schematic bottom view of a further embodiment of an extractor hood 1 is shown. As emerges from the figure 4 results, the inner element 101 is in the viewing hood 10 of the extractor hood 1. In particular, the inner element 101 is placed in the underside of the outer hood 100 of the viewing hood 10. Furthermore, in the illustrated embodiment, a light bar 1000 is provided in the front area of the underside of the outer hood 100 . The inner element 101 covers the intake opening 102 of the extractor hood 1, which is delimited by the outer hood 100 and light strip 1000. The air passage 1010 is aligned with the outlet opening 103 of the viewing hood 10 . The walls of the close to the outlet opening 103 Chimney 11 of the extractor hood 1 upwards. in the in figure 4 For example, the size of the air passage 1010 is smaller than the outlet opening 103. However, the size of the air passage 1010 may be the same as the size of the outlet opening 103.

The present invention has a number of advantages.

According to the invention, the inner element is preferably not designed as a load-bearing element. The inner element can have flat surfaces, which facilitates cleaning by wiping. Cable guides, electronic components and construction elements can be covered by the inner element and are therefore not visible to the user and also protected from contamination.

According to the invention, the inner element is an additively attached surface element, which consists of light, flexible materials on which the vapors can condense. According to one embodiment, the surface of an inner element made from this material or also from a stiff material can have aerodynamically positive and noise-damping properties.

If the inner element, which can also be referred to as a grease apron, can be removed from the viewing hood, it can be cleaned in the dishwasher or washing machine. This eliminates the need for a cumbersome cleaning process underneath the extractor hood.

The inner element used according to the invention can be inexpensively adapted and/or retrofitted to all common hood shapes. Structural elements and screws can be covered by the inner element and do not have to be hidden in a cumbersome and costly manner.

In the case of internal elements in particular that can be removed from the viewing hood, the grease separated on them is added to the filter capacity of the extractor hood and the so-called grease filter ranking is thereby improved.

In particular in the case of interior elements which either have a corresponding surface or which have air guiding elements, the calmed and/or optimized air flow can ensure a higher air throughput without an increase in the fan output, i.e. the output of the blower, being necessary. The energy requirement can thus also be reduced. In addition, with a constant fan performance, lower flow noise is generated due to the calmed and/or optimized air flow.

Finally, the present invention saves the user time and labor when cleaning the extractor hood and improves the cleaning result. In particular, easier cleaning is ensured without the user having to be in an uncomfortable position under the extractor hood for a longer period of time.
