The present invention relates to a kit or set of elements intended to equip a room in which is installed a toilet bowl and comprising an opening next to a surface on which a vehicle can park, and to a toilet device or WC, for people with a motor handicap, in particular motorists with motor disabilities.

The document EP 1 523 972 A1 discloses a foldable seat, mounted on running gear, comprising a horizontal telescopic guide and a connecting element between the latter and the seat, in order to help disabled people to take a bath.

The autonomy of motorists with motor disabilities or reduced mobility, that is to say, in the context of the present invention, substantially unable, or hardly able to move on foot, is limited by the absence of toilets for disabled people who are reserved for them, means of transferring there from and then to their motor vehicle, other than by transferring beforehand to an individual vehicle for the disabled, such as a wheelchair or scooter. There are, of course, private individual devices, such as small wheelchairs or transfer boards or slides (see, for example US 6,256,806 and US 6,115,971 ), but no practical and economical solution, usable for public toilets for motorists with motor disabilities, has not been planned.

The same is true for people with motor disabilities moving outside, for example by scooter or wheelchair.

Finally, most buildings, shops, restaurants, hotels, offices and apartments do not have toilets accessible to people with motor disabilities, and more often than not, an adaptation would require costly architectural transformations.

The patent application GB A 2 467 166 describes a device for transferring a disabled person to a toilet bowl in a room, comprising rails arranged on the ground and in which can slide a folding seat support which can move between an outside position next to a disabled wheelchair and a position interior next to a bowl, said support carrying an inflatable seat with an opening serving as a toilet seat and being able to slide laterally between the support and the bowl, respectively the chair. However, this device is complicated and greatly clutters the occupied area.

The patent application PCT / EP2015 / 074022 proposes a solution to these problems by providing a toilet or toilet device, for motorists with motor disabilities, this device comprising a room comprising an opening next to which a car can park, outside said room, a toilet bowl for disabled, installed in said room, a mobile jump seat, comprising a seat for the user, means for guiding said jump seat, fixed in said room, said mobile jump seat being able to be moved by the user on said guide means between an advanced position located next to and close to the seat of the user's automobile, stopped in a determined position next to said opening of the room, and a transfer location, in which the jump seat and the bowl are one next to each other and in the immediate vicinity, the jump seat having means allowing it to be immobilized in its transfer position and in its forward position next to the seat of the automobile, said opening being able to be closed by the user when said jump seat is inside said local.

Requirement JP 2002/227434 describes a building specially designed to accommodate a motor handicapped person, with a fixed guide rail 7 extending over the entire displacement length of a folding seat carrying a toilet seat capable of moving above a toilet bowl. In order for the disabled user to exit or enter the building, this rail exits outside the building. It also follows that a special closure must be adapted.

The present invention proposes to remedy these drawbacks and to provide a kit or set of elements according to claim 1 and a toilet or toilet device according to claim 10, for motor disabled, efficient, inexpensive, and able to be put in. place economically, allowing a simple, safe and efficient use for the user, and particularly economical and easy to manage, and to keep clean and hygienic, for the entity which manages it.

Another objective of the invention is to make it possible to provide the physically disabled with toilets that are easy to use without noticeable fatigue.

Another objective of the invention is to enable people with motor disabilities to use very small toilet rooms.

Another objective of the invention is to economically transform existing toilets, including very small ones, into toilets for the disabled, without architectural modifications, while remaining usable in the usual way by non-disabled people.

By motor disabled, within the meaning of the present invention, is meant persons with non-existent or reduced mobility. These are, for example, people with paraplegia, or having lost the use of their legs, or who can only walk with difficulty, for example people suffering from obesity. This term also includes people with normal or slightly impaired mobility, but who get tired or run out of breath very quickly, in particular people suffering from obesity.

Also concerned in the context of the invention are, for example, people with motor disabilities traveling on vehicles such as scooters for the disabled, for example in public or commercial places, sleds or skis for the disabled, vehicles for the disabled on beaches, armchairs or tricycles, motorized or not, for example in public places or gardens, shopping centers, etc.

Preferably the closure (s) of the room, such as sliding doors or curtains, is carried out using a motor, preferably electric, and is controlled by the user.

In one embodiment, the jump seat may include vertical seat displacement means, allowing a variation in the vertical level of the seat of the jump seat, at least between two levels, namely the level of the upper edge of the bowl and the level of the seat of the automobile or other vehicle, if it is different. These means may include an electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, or other lifting and lowering means or cylinder. In one embodiment, the direction of movement of the jump seat is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the bowl. Thus the same assembly, preferably delivered in the form of a kit, can be installed in these two types of toilet rooms.

It is thus possible, thanks to the invention, to make accessible to people with motor disabilities, cramped toilet rooms, such as toilets or bathrooms in apartments, old office buildings, restaurants, hotels, which no longer meet the needs of current administrative standards and whose architectural transformation would be impossible or extremely expensive.

In addition, with an assembly whose seat can be folded up by pivoting upwards, preferably by being able, in the retracted position, to be pushed back along the guide behind a masking wall, the same room, even small, can still be used in normal conditions, by users without disabilities.

In these two cases, it is preferred that the trajectory of the folding seat is such that the lateral projection between the edge, on the vehicle side, of the folding seat in its forward position, and the plane of the opening of the room, does not exceed 120 cm, the folding seat being able to itself have a width of the order of 40 to 50 cm.

According to an improvement, the telescopic guide, fixed behind the bowl, can extend symmetrically on both sides of the bowl, the jump seat can then be guided indifferently to the right or the left, the room then having an opening on each side, giving, each time on a space on which the vehicle or the automobile can come to park, depending on whether the user is seated in the vehicle on the left or on the right.

With reference to Figures 21 to 25 , it can be seen that the guide device comprises two parallel guides 14 'each comprising a horizontal slide 15' fixed firmly to the wall 6 ', in which can slide, in both directions, a slide 16' itself forming a second slide , in which can slide, in both directions, a connecting slide 30 '. The dimensions of the folding seat can be chosen so that, in the folded state, the folding seat and its wheels 28 'are away from the ground at a height greater than that of the bowl 11', or, if applicable, to the rear exhaust duct the bowl, which allows the folding seat to be stored behind the bowl while leaving it accessible to a user. One can advantageously provide a vertical masking wall 47 ', fixed to the wall 6 of the room or integral with the guide, and at a sufficient distance to allow the folded jump seat to pass behind it ( Figures 28 and 29 ). The lower edge of the wall 47 'is at a sufficient height to allow the jump seat in the extended horizontal position to pass under this edge ( Figure 28 ).

In the case of a bottom-draining toilet bowl, and leaving behind a floor passage 2 'between it and the room wall 6', the jump seat can also include rear feet with casters, for example, feet extending the arms 29 'downwards, so that the entire weight of the jump seat with one user is supported by the four casters. We can then use a lighter guide, with one or two telescopic assemblies.

The folding seat 41 'has a horizontal frame 42' open at its front part and on which is placed a pierced seat 43 ', in the form of a toilet seat. The rear part of the frame 42 'is articulated by the articulations 45' at the lower ends of the link arms 29 '. Preferably, the seat 43 'can slide axially between a retracted position of use ( Figure 21 ) and a partially cantilevered forward position ( Figure 24 ), so that the user, once the folding seat 42 'is located above the toilet bowl, can move closer to the sink. Provision can be made for the seat to be able to be immobilized in its two extreme positions by a pawl that can be released by the user.

In another preferred embodiment shown in Figures 27 to 31 , the elements of the guide 14 'are two simple rails 54' with a C-section open towards the rear connected by a large vertical metal plate 48 'on which the arms 29' are fixed, near the vertical edge of the plate close to the opening of the room. Said rails being able to slide horizontally on 55 'fixed slides fixed to the wall of the 6' room (see Figure 40 ). Sets of this type, provided with small friction-suppressing rollers, are commercially available. When the jump seat 42 'is moved to its extreme position out of room 1', the rails 54 'are offset, over the majority of their length, relative to the fixed slides 55', the plate 48 'ensuring the rigidity and resistance of the whole cantilever.

According to an improvement, a plate 51 'is horizontally articulated on the frame 42' around an axis 52 'located, when the jump seat is in the deployed position, slightly in front of the masking wall 47', this plate, in the folded position ( Figure 30 ) concealing the underlying 43 'pierced seat. The user can then pivot the plate 51 'in the vertical position ( Figure 31 ), which frees the seat and forms a backrest for the user when he is seated on the folding seat, this backrest 51 'passing, a short distance from the wall 47' when the folding seat moves towards the bowl. Low resistance pawls can be provided to hold the backrest 52 'against the frame 42', in the folded position ( Figures 29 and 30 ), and to keep the backrest in a vertical position ( Figure 31 ).

The distance between the bottom wall 6 'and the masking wall 47' may not exceed 10 cm.

The operation is as follows:
Initially the jump seat 41 'is in the folded position, behind the wall 47'. The user comes to park his vehicle, for example an automobile or a scooter, or his wheelchair, for example in the case where the room is a simple bathroom of a hotel room, on the ground or floor 7 'on the left side of room 1', next to the opening of the room, at a distance of around 1 m from the door. It then causes, for example by a remote control or a wireless application, or manually, the opening of the door or curtain 9 'and the exit of the folded jump seat 41', guided on its guide 14 ', and. driven by an electric motor, or directly pulled by hand when the distances are small enough.

With the jump seat within easy reach, the user swings the 4'2 frame down, in a horizontal position, which also deploys the 27 'legs ( Figure 32 ). If a folding backrest 52 'is provided, it raises it to the vertical position. If necessary, he then pulls the seat 43 ′ in partial cantilever forward to place it next to the seat of his vehicle. Room 1 'is, for example, a restaurant or apartment toilet room, in which the toilet bowl 11' is arranged on the side wall 8 'opposite to that which has the door 9'. is folded behind a 47 'masking wall located near the 9' door ( Figure 36 ). A seat in the form of a substantially circular bezel 53 'is mounted on the frame 42' of the jump seat. In order to be able to easily adapt the device to rooms arranged according to Figures 36 to 39 , it is possible to provide that the feet 27 'can be easily mounted in various locations of the arms 42' of the jump seat frame. It can be seen that the frame has a plurality of holes 56 'distributed over their length. The joint 44 'of a leg 27' can then be simply inserted and fixed in the relevant hole 56 '. It is also possible to provide holes 56 ′ arranged further to the rear, to receive the rear feet. When the jump seat 41 'is moved from the opening of the room towards the bowl, the front and / or rear feet present come to be placed towards the corresponding lateral side of the bowl, at a certain distance. As a variant, provision can be made to mount the jump seat frame 42 'on a horizontal jump seat structure making it possible to fix this frame 42', with its feet and wheels, at an adjustable distance from the guide 14 '.

It is then possible to mount on the plate 13, rails 24 and 25 in which slide roller slides such as 42, ( Fig. 25 to 27 ) fixed in the middle of the upper and lower edges of a second plate 43. The latter carries at its upper and lower edges rails 44, 45, arranged similarly to that of the other rails and guiding the slides 26 integral with the jump seat 7. It is understood that in this embodiment, the folding seat 7 can come out completely to the right ( Fig. 25 ), to the left ( Fig. 27 ), or be in any central position, plates 13 and 4 then being brought to the center ( Fig. 26 ).

We refer to Figures 42 to 44 , which show a kit that is easy to install and which allows a solid hold in the case of a telescope that can slide in partial cantilever perpendicular to the guide device, even for a very heavy handicap.

The guide device 23 "has two rails 10" and 11 "in C section, extending in parallel by being fixed to the wall 32" which carries the bowl 35 "and extends towards the opening of the toilet. lower 10 "has its longitudinal slot towards the side, while the upper rail 11" has its slot upwards. The slide is formed of a vertical rectangular plate 13 "connected to its rear face, on the one hand, with two pairs of horizontal rollers 14, that is to say of vertical axis (not shown), guided in the lower rail 10, and, on the other hand, with two pairs of vertical rollers 15 guided in the upper rail 11, said pairs of rollers being mounted on the right part of the plate 13 ".

On the plate 13 "are fixed two parallel rails 24", 25 "each guiding two pairs of rollers, namely a pair of vertical rollers 26" in the rail 24 "and a pair of horizontal rollers (not seen) guided in the 25 "lower rail. These pairs of rollers are attached to the back of a 27 "vertical plate attached to the top of the 7" jump seat, so that the jump seat can slide relative to the plate 13 ", and in particular move closer to a scooter or other vehicle 6 disposed completely on the side of the device.

As can be seen in the Figures, the length of the 13 "plate is much greater than the length of the jump seat which can slide between the left and right edges of the plate, so that when the jump seat is placed on the first location to side of a vehicle, for example a wheelchair, ( Fig. 43 ) a large part of the plate 13 "is still placed facing the guide 4, the pairs of rollers integral with this part remaining located inside their respective rails 10" and 11 ".

The jump seat, guided on the guide 23 ", has two front feet 33" carrying 17 "castors or ball bearings and, optionally, two rear feet. It can also include a backrest (not shown), preferably folding, and two 20 "folding armrests. Preferably, the jump seat includes brakes (not shown), for example roller brakes, making it possible to immobilize the jump seat. These brakes are preferably actuated by the armrests 20 ", when an armrest is pivoted upwards. The seat in the form of a window is mounted to slide as on the Figure 23 . Preferably, this seat is circular and can turn, for example by an angle of 90 ° so that the seated user can pivot between a position back to the plate 27 "and a position parallel to the latter.

Provision can be made for the jump seat 7 to be able to be retracted, for example by articulating the frame on the plate 13, and the feet 33 "on the frame.

Another subject of the invention is the use of this device for the disabled arriving on other types of vehicles, in particular scooters and tricycles, beach scooters, sledges or skis for the disabled, wheelchairs, motorized or not.

Claims (14)

1. A kit or assembly of elements intended to equip a room in which a toilet bowl is installed and comprising an opening next to a surface on which a vehicle, in particular a disabled person's vehicle, can park outside said room,
   said kit or set comprising :

   a horizontal telescopic guidance device (14, 14', 23") for a jump seat, comprising a fixed guidance part (15, 15', 10", 11") able to be fixed to a wall in said room at a level clearly above the floor of said room, and a movable part (16, 16', 26") being telescopic with respect to said fixed part so as to be able to be deployed by sliding beyond one end of said fixed part while remaining partially guided and held by said fixed part,

   a mobile jump seat (20, 41', 7") mounted on rolling members (22, 28', 17") arranged at the front part of the jump seat, to roll on the floor of said room and to be moved by the user while being guided on said guidance device (14, 14', 23") between a retracted position and an advanced position in which said movable part (16, 16', 26") is deployed, said jump seat comprising a seat (24, 43', 53') having a toilet seat opening, a connecting member (29, 30', 27") linking said jump seat (20), 41', 7") to said movable guidance part (16, 16', 26") located behind the jump seat, said seat (24, 43', 53') being articulated on said link member (29, 30', 27") about a horizontal axis to be movable between a folded vertical position, in which said rolling members (22, 28', 17") are raised and folded against the seat, and an unfolded position in which the seat (24, 43', 53') is horizontal and the rolling members (22, 28', 17") can roll on the ground.

A kit or assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a foldable part (42') comprising said seat (43', 53') and articulated on a non-foldable part comprising said connecting member (30') about a horizontal axis (45') so as to be movable between a folded vertical position, in which said rolling members (28') are raised and folded against the seat, and an unfolded position in which the seat (43', 53') is horizontal and the rolling members (28') can roll on the ground.

A kit or assembly according to claim 2, characterized in that an elastic device is interposed between said non-folding part comprising said connection (30') and said folding part (42') of the jump seat, so as to substantially compensate for the rotation torque due to the weight of the folding part (42') and to allow the user to fold and unfold the folding part, with its seat (43', 53'), practically without effort.

A kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it comprises a vertical wall (47') masking the guidance device (14') in the non-deployed position and whose lower edge is located above the seat (43', 53') in the unfolded position, the said wall (47') being sufficiently far forward from the guidance device so that the seat in the folded position, with its rolling members, can be masked by the said wall.

A kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the jump seat (20, 41') comprises a seat (24, 43', 53') mounted so as to slide between a normal rear position close to the said connecting member (29, 30', 27") and an advanced position remote from the said connecting member (29, 30', 27").
6. A kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the seat (53') in the form of a toilet seat is substantially circular in shape and/or is rotatably mounted on the jump seat so as to be rotatable about a vertical axis.
7. A kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the guidance device (14') comprises two fixed parallel guide rails (15, 10", 11"') each guiding an elongated slide (16') which can partially extend telescopically beyond the end of its rail, said slides being secured to said connecting member (30') of the jump seat.
8. A kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the guidance device comprises at least one first fixed guide rail (15, 10", 11") guiding an elongate slide (16, 15") forming or carrying at least one second rail (16, 24", 25") guiding an elongated slide (17, 26") which is partially telescopically extendable beyond the end of at least the first slide, said element (17, 26") bearing said jump seat connecting member (29, 13").

A kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that it comprises means for vertical displacement of the seat, allowing a variation in the vertical level of the seat (24, 43', 53') of the jump seat, between at least two levels, namely the upper level of the bowl and the level of the seat of the motor vehicle, if different.
10. A toilet or WC device for persons with motor disability comprising a kit or assembly according to one of claims 1 to 9, and comprising,
    a room (1, 1') having an opening (9, 9') next to a surface (7, 7') on which a vehicle, in particular a vehicle for a motor-disabled person, can be parked in a specific position outside said room,
    a toilet bowl (11, 11') for the handicapped, installed in said room,

A device according to one of claims 10 to 12, characterised in that the guidance device (14) fixed behind the toilet bowl (11) extends symmetrically on both sides of the toilet bowl, wherein the jump seat (20,41') can be guided to the right or to the left as required, wherein the room (1) has an opening on each side, which opens onto a surface on which the vehicle can be parked, depending on whether the user is sitting in the vehicle on the left or on the right.
