Abstract
In the repository containers (10) to be housed contaminated items are usually wet. The moisture of the contaminated objects leads over time to rust through the repository containers (10). The invention provides for tempering the repository containers (10) in the interior, in particular heating them up by heating panels (22) and thereby suctioning the resulting moist, heated air from the interior of the repository container (10). The contaminated objects are dried before storage and thus no moisture in the repository container (10) included, which could lead to the same rusting through.
Description
The invention relates to a method for drying in particular contaminated objects in a repository container according to the preamble of claim 1 and a repository container according to the preamble of claim 7.
Repository containers are used in particular for receiving objects or residues that require long-term disposal without coming into contact with the environment. For example, take such repository containers lumpy or free-flowing objects that are radioactively, chemically and / or biologically contaminated. The residues or objects are permanently hermetically sealed from the repository container by the environment.
Frequently repository containers are loaded with objects or residues that are moist or have residual moisture. Such objects or residues must be dried so that the moisture does not remain in the disposal container, which would lead in particular in connection with radioactive, chemical or biological contamination to rapid rusting and thus destroying the final storage container.
The invention is based on the object to provide a method and a repository container, whereby a simple and effective drying of the particular contaminated objects is possible. The repository container should also be easy to produce.
Feuchtigkeitsnester befinden.A method for drying at least one contaminated article in a repository container comprises the measures of claim 1. By drying the at least one article in the repository container by heating it internally, it is possible to dry the contaminated article or objects if they are already in the repository. Characterized in that the at least one contaminated object is dried by a heater by means of a plurality of selectively operated heating elements inside the repository container, a heating of the interior of the repository container is carried out by the contaminated objects to be dried, whereby the air inside the repository container can absorb moisture , The multiple heating elements are selectively operated. It can be dried in several steps so that at least one located in the interior of the repository container contaminated object. Above all, the selective operation of the heating elements can also be used to bring about a specifically directed drying, for example from bottom to top. Also, it can be dried more intensively, where most of the moisture or moisture nests are.
By preferably continuous removal of the moist air during the drying process, the moisture is removed from the repository container. In particular, the discharged moist air is replaced by dry outside air or dried air, so that the supplied air can absorb moisture by heating inside the repository container, which is transported out by the removal, preferably aspiration of the heated, moist air from the repository container.
A preferred development of the invention provides for the removal of the resulting inside the repository container moist air. This will effectively avoid a permanent inclusion of moisture inside the repository container.
A further preferred embodiment of the method provides suction of the moist air produced during drying from the interior of the repository container. Preferably, the suction takes place by means of negative pressure, wherein optionally dry air or drier air is supplied to the interior of the repository container. It happens like that an air flow in the interior of the repository container, which causes a preferably continuous removal of moisture forming during drying.
In particular, it is provided to dry the article (s) in the repository container by vacuum drying. As a result, a particularly effective drying takes place, especially if at the same time there is a discharge of the forming inside the repository container moisture.
The drying preferably takes place with a vacuum pump, which reduces the pressure in the interior of the repository container to less than 1 bar, preferably from 20 mbar to 50 mbar. This results in effective vacuum drying.
It is further preferred to determine the degree of drying or the drying criterion during the drying or in the final phases of the drying. This is done by measuring the time course of the pressure increase in the repository container with the vacuum pump switched off and completely airtight closure of the repository container. If, within a certain period of time, which can be up to one hour, the pressure rise below a certain value, which is preferably below 10 mbar, moves, the objects are sufficiently dried in the disposal container. Furthermore, it is preferably provided to bring the container internal pressure to a certain value for measuring the drying criterion. This value is preferably below 20 mbar.
A disposal container for solving the above-mentioned problem has the features of claim 7. In this repository container, the inner sides of at least some walls and / or the bottom are assigned tempering elements. It is also conceivable to provide only one such element in the interior of the repository container, which is then assigned either to a wall or only to the floor. By means of the at least one tempering element, the contaminated objects in the interior of the residue container can be dried by heating or even cooled. The respective tempering is as a heating panel and / or a cooling panel when the contaminated objects in the repository container are still hot and must be cooled formed.
Preferably, a plurality of tempering are provided, and indeed, the plurality of tempering the inside of at least one wall or the floor may be assigned or they are distributed to different walls and / or the Ground. The number and arrangement of the tempering can vary as desired; it is preferably linked to the greatest heating power or cooling capacity and may also be directed according to the nature of the at least one object to be dried or cooled in the interior of the repository container.
Electro heating panels are preferably used, so that the heating of the interior of the repository container can take place electrically. Alternatively, it is also conceivable to provide the heating panels with flow channels through which hot air or heated liquid circulates.
A preferred development of the invention provides for assigning at least one protective element to the at least one tempering element or each tempering element. The protective element, which is preferably a protective plate or protective panel, is assigned to the interior facing surface of the respective tempering element. A protective element or even a plurality of protective elements preferably cover the entire area of each tempering element or each tempering plate. The protective elements or protective plates can be arranged directly in front of the tempering elements, in particular heating or cooling panels, and either be in contact with the heating or cooling panels or even be arranged at a small distance in front of it. The protective elements serve for the mechanical protection of the tempering elements. Thus, the protective elements prevent damage to the sensitive tempering by the or each disposed inside the repository container contaminated object. The full-surface protection of the inner sides of the tempering is particularly advantageous if stored in the interior of the repository container pourable or pourable objects or residues.

The
The
The
The
The
The interior 11 of the
The
Power supply lines of the
The invention provides a control that allows the
The
- First, the
interior 11 of therepository container 10 is loaded with the contaminated objects or residues to be accommodated therein. These items are usually still wet. After loading therepository container 10, theopening 17 is closed with theprimary cover 18. When not yet connected to theside wall 13cover 24 is now drying the contaminated residues in theinterior 11 of therepository container 10. For this purpose, first external power cable with sockets under thecover 24 for powering theheating panels 22 are connected. Likewise, the hoses for supplying dry outside air and for removing heated warm exhaust air in the areas of the 25 and 26 of theopenings primary cover 18 are connected. The hoses for extracting moist exhaust air can be acted upon by a vacuum pump or the like with negative pressure, preferably up to an internal pressure in thefinal storage container 10 between 10 mbar and 200 mbar, preferably 30 mbar to 50 mbar. The setting and monitoring or regulation of the negative pressure in the interior of therepository container 10 is effected by a metering valve, which is preferably associated with the vacuum pump. Fresh, dry outside air is preferably sucked into the interior 11 and heated, and moist exhaust air is sucked out of the interior 11. It comes to a vacuum drying of the contaminated, still moist objects in theinterior 11 of the repository container 10th
Reststoffen.By an appropriate control outside of the
Drying is monitored for compliance with at least one drying criterion. This preferably takes place after a certain drying time, which according to experience leads to sufficient drying of the moist objects in the
To determine the degree of drying and to check compliance with the at least one drying criterion, a shut-off valve is closed to the vacuum pump, namely at an internal pressure in the
If it is determined that at least one drying criterion is not met, drying is continued and the vacuum pump is put back into operation. After a certain period of subsequent drying, it is again determined whether the drying criterion is met.
After completion of the drying, which may take several days, the connections of the hoses and external power supply cables of the
The
