Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drinking teat, in particular for infants and young children.
  • the drinking teats can be designed in particular as a feeding teat or as a drinking aid (e.g. drinking spout or drinking spout) in accordance with European standard EN 14350-1.
  • Drinking teats are used to administer milk and other liquid foods, particularly to infants and young children.
  • Drinking teats have a hollow suction part with a passage for liquid food.
  • the suction part is connected in one piece at the bottom to an annular flange-shaped suction flange, which is used for fastening to the mouth of a vessel.
  • the vessel is in particular a drinking bottle (e.g. food bottle), drinking cup or food bag.
  • a fastening ring is used for fastening to the vessel, which has a cylindrical jacket with fastening means for fastening to fastening means of the vessel.
  • the fasteners are often threads on the inner circumference of the jacket and on the outer circumference of the vessel.
  • the fastening ring has an inwardly projecting, annular disk-shaped ring flange which engages over the suction flange and presses against the front edge of the mouth of the vessel.
  • Food suckers mostly consist of soft elastic material.
  • Drinking aids and drinking beaks are also often made from soft, elastic material.
  • Drinking aids are also made of hard material or a combination of hard and soft materials.
  • drinking aids made of a hard material with a valve insert made of flexible material are known.
  • there are soft-elastic valve inserts which are tightly clamped on the edge between the mouth of the vessel and the drinking aid.
  • drinking teats When vacuuming on the suction part, a negative pressure is created in the vessel, which makes it difficult to withdraw liquid. Due to the negative pressure, a soft and elastic drinking teat can be used collapse so that the suction part slips into the vessel. To avoid this, drinking teats have a ventilation valve.
  • the ventilation valve opens when there is a certain vacuum in the vessel. This achieves pressure equalization with the environment.
  • the DE 137 39 911 C5 describes a drinking teat and the attachment of the drinking teat to a drinking bottle using a screw ring.
  • the ventilation valve is designed as a slit valve in a recess on one side of the suction part.
  • the slit valve is worked into the drinking teat using a knife in a complex process step.
  • Another disadvantage is that the sealing lips delimited by the slot lie against one another with only slight pressure, so that the slot valve can open even at a low negative pressure, which is less than the negative pressure that the child creates during natural breastfeeding.
  • Drinking teats with a ventilation valve between the suction flange and screw ring are well known.
  • the DE 10 2005 006 768 A1 discloses such a drinking teat with a suction flange which carries an annular elevation on the upper side which engages in a groove in a circumferential lower bottom surface of the screw ring.
  • the suction flange has a valve opening which tapers in the direction of the ring flange of the screw ring and has a large opening cross section in the elevation.
  • the suction part has a recess on the outside that extends to the suction flange and forms a ventilation channel.
  • the outer edge area of the suction flange is clamped outside the valve opening between the front edge of the mouth and the ring flange.
  • Drinking teats with lip valves on the underside of a suction flange are made of US 2005/0252875 A1 . WO 2006/103379 A1 . DE 202 04 357 U1 and US 2003/0106872 A1 known. These drinking teats are manufactured using the injection molding process. Due to the manufacturing process, the sealing lips lie against each other without pre-tensioning, so that they can be easily opened by a vacuum. When the lip valve is open, the pressure is equalized through a gap between the top of the suction flange and the bottom of the ring flange. If liquid is present on the side surfaces of the ventilation valve, these are compressed and liquid leakage is prevented.
  • the latter two publications describe drinking teats in which the lip valve is integrated in the wall of the suction flange.
  • the GB 797 784A and US 2,762,520A describe drinking teats with a suction flange, the upper side of which rests sealingly on the ring flange of the fastening ring and has an annular groove.
  • Several ventilation holes open in the ring groove, which are connected to the underside of the ring flange and communicate with the inside of the drinking bottle. Only the outer edge of the suction flange is clamped between the ring flange and the front edge of the mouth.
  • the vacuum in the drinking bottle causes the inner part of the suction flange, which is not trapped between the ring flange and the mouth, to be bent away from the ring flange so that the ventilation holes compensate for pressure.
  • the production and cleaning of the drinking teat are complex.
  • the US 2,811,270 describes a suction flange with vertical ventilation holes, which sealingly rests against the ring flange of the fastening ring.
  • the ventilation holes open at the top in an annular groove on the underside of the ring flange and at the bottom inside the drinking bottle.
  • the suction flange is only clamped on the outer edge between the ring flange and the mouth. When vacuuming on the suction part, the inner part of the suction flange bends away from the ring flange and ambient air flows in through the ventilation holes. This drinking teat is also expensive to manufacture and clean.
  • the DE 10 2011 013 080 A1 describes a drinking teat with a contact area protruding downwards or upwards from a suction flange or from a suction part above the suction flange into the space for the placement of the ring flange.
  • the drinking teat has a lip valve that is open when the suction flange is not attached to a drinking bottle.
  • the lip valve is arranged in a deformation area next to the contact area, so that when the suction flange is fastened to a drinking bottle by means of a fastening ring, the deformation of the suction flange and / or suction nozzle caused by pressing the fastening ring against the contact area closes the lip valve. Due to the lip valve, manufacturing and cleaning are still relatively complex in this drinking teat.
  • JP2013215422 (A ) discloses a drinking teat with a ventilation structure, in which a ventilation depression enables the supply of air to compensate for a negative pressure in the drinking teat.
  • CA2469942 (A1 ) describes another drinking teat with an air supply passage between a suction part and a fastening ring of the drinking teat.
  • the object of the invention is to create a drinking teat with a ventilation valve, the manufacture and cleaning of which is even easier.
  • the object is achieved by a drinking vessel with a drinking teat and a fastening ring with the features of claim 1.
  • Advantageous embodiments of the drinking vessel are specified in the subclaims.
  • the drinking teat according to the invention has a depression on the top of the teat flange.
  • a fastening ring press the latter with its ring flange against the top of the suction flange and presses its underside sealingly against the front edge of the mouth.
  • the ring flange presses outside the depression against the top of the suction flange and is thereby held at a distance from the top of the bottom of the depression.
  • the floor has sufficient flexibility for this. The bottom bulges up when the negative pressure in the vessel is high enough.
  • the different pressures that act on the suction flange during suction cause the floor to bulge. Air can flow in from the outside into the vessel from underneath the arched floor, whereby pressure equalization with the surroundings is achieved. In this way, a new ventilation valve is realized.
  • the recess in the suction flange is easier to manufacture than the ventilation valves of conventional drinking teats. Another advantage is that the recess is easily accessible from the outside and can be easily cleaned.
  • the drinking teat according to the invention it is possible to precisely determine the opening pressure at which air flows into the vessel from the surroundings.
  • the drinking teat is in one embodiment a feeding teat or a drinking aid (e.g. a feeding spout or a drinking beak).
  • the vessel is a drinking bottle (for example a feeding bottle), a drinking cup or a feeding bag.
  • the fastening ring is a screw ring for screwing onto a thread of the vessel, a snap ring for snapping onto a snap projection of the vessel or a bayonet closure ring for attachment to a bayonet closure of the vessel.
  • the depression is a groove extending in the radial direction of the suction flange.
  • the bottom of the depression has a curvature which is flattened when the suction flange is mounted on the vessel by means of a fastening ring, so that the bottom of the depression rests against the edge of the mouth under elastic prestress.
  • the drinking teat is produced in such a way that the bottom of the depression bulges slightly downward.
  • the negative pressure at which the base bulges up is in the range from 15 to 100 mbar, preferably 20 to 50 mbar.
  • the depression extends in the radial direction of the suction flange over the entire area with which the suction flange rests on the front edge of the mouth. This configuration can be particularly a lot of air from the surroundings should flow into the vessel when the ventilation valve opens.
  • the depression starts from the outer edge of the suction flange.
  • the depression extends in the radial direction over at least half of the suction flange. In this way, the manufacture of the drinking teat can be simplified and it can be ensured that the depression is arranged above the front edge of the mouth, even if the suction flange is not exactly concentrically fixed on the edge of the mouth. In addition, this configuration favors the inflow of ambient air between the suction part and the fastening ring for the depression.
  • the suction flange has webs and / or a surface texture and / or at least one lower recess, which is enclosed on all sides by non-recessed areas of the underside of the suction flange, at least on the underside of the bottom of the depression, for easier detachment from the mouth of the drinking bottle ,
  • the webs are aligned radially.
  • the webs or the surface texture or the lower depression improve the opening of the ventilation valve at a certain negative pressure.
  • the webs or surface texture or lower recess enable the ventilation valve to be opened at a certain negative pressure even if the suction flange sticks to the edge of the mouth due to beverage residues.
  • the webs and / or the surface texture and / or the lower depression are only present on the underside of the bottom of the depression.
  • the drinking teat has a plurality of lower depressions arranged one behind the other in the radial direction and / or a plurality of lower depressions arranged next to one another in the circumferential direction. This can ensure that regardless of the seat of the suction flange on the edge of the mouth of the vessel, at least one of the lower recesses is always arranged in a suitable position for ventilation at the edge of the mouth of the drinking bottle.
  • the lower depression can have different geometries. For example, it is rectangular, oval or circular.
  • the extent of the lower depression in the radial direction and / or in the circumferential direction is preferably smaller than the extent of the depression in the corresponding direction.
  • the extent of the lower depression in the radial direction and / or in the circumferential direction is preferably at most half the extent of the depression in the corresponding direction.
  • the lower recess is preferably designed such that its extent in the radial direction of the suction flange is less than the width of the edge of the mouth of the drinking bottle.
  • the lower depression is preferably arranged on the suction flange such that when the suction flange is attached to the edge of the mouth of the drinking bottle, the lower depression partially covers the inner edge of the edge of the mouth. If a vacuum is present in the drinking bottle, this causes the suction flange to rise somewhat further radially outwards from the edge of the mouth in the area of the recess, so that ambient air flows into the drinking bottle through the gap between the suction flange and the edge of the opening and through the lower recess can.
  • the suction part has a constriction above the suction flange.
  • the constriction enables captive pre-assembly of the fastening ring on the drinking teat and thus facilitates handling.
  • the suction part at least partially covers the fastening ring, thereby creating a large, soft contact area for the mouth and chin of the child.
  • the bottom of the depression is made of a soft elastic material. This ensures that the bottom bulges up when there is negative pressure in the vessel and is otherwise sealing against the edge of the mouth.
  • the entire suction flange is made of flexible material. This is advantageous for the production of the drinking teat and favors a sealing contact of the teat flange at the edge of the mouth of the vessel.
  • the entire drinking teat is made from a flexible material. This simplifies production and is preferably the case when the drinking teat is designed as a nutritional teat or when it is designed as a drinking aid. Particularly when it is designed as a drinking aid, the suction flange can also be made partially and the suction part entirely or partially from a hard material, in particular from a hard-elastic plastic.
  • the drinking teat is made entirely or partially from silicone or from a thermoplastic elastomer or from another injection-moldable plastic or from latex. Silicone, thermoplastic elastomer and latex are preferably used as flexible materials for the floor, the suction flange or the entire drinking teat.
  • the drinking teat is injection molded or manufactured in a combined immersion-casting process.
  • the suction flange has an inner diameter of 20 to 65 mm and / or an outer diameter of 30 to 70 mm and / or a height of 0.5 to 3 mm.
  • the drinking teat is particularly suitable for wide-mouth bottles, normal bottles, food bottles, drinking cups or food bags.
  • the opening pressure at which the ventilation valve opens is determined in particular by the depth of the depression in the suction flange, the dimensions of the depression in the radial direction and in the circumferential direction of the suction flange and by the thickness of the bottom wall.
  • the recess has a depth in the suction flange of 0.5 to 2.5 mm and / or a length in the radial direction of the suction flange of 2 to 10 mm and / or a width in the circumferential direction of the suction flange of 5 to 15 mm and / or the bottom of the recess has a thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 mm.
  • an embodiment of the invention relates to a drinking vessel with a drinking teat according to one of the preceding claims, which is mounted on a vessel by means of a fastening ring, the fastening ring having fastening means and the vessel having further fastening means which are connected to one another in order to close the drinking teat to the vessel fasten, an annular flange of the fastening ring outside the depression presses against the top of the suction flange and the suction flange with the underside presses against the edge of the mouth of the vessel, the depression being designed in such a way that a negative pressure in the vessel causes the bottom of the Well bulges and air flows into the vessel from the outside in the radial direction.
  • the extent of the lower depression in the radial direction is smaller than the width of the edge of the mouth of the vessel and / or the distance between two lower depressions which follow one another in the radial direction is less than the width of the edge of the mouth of the vessel.
  • the suction flange also seals against the edge of the mouth in the area of the lower recess if there is no negative pressure in the drinking bottle.
  • the suction flange lifts slightly further radially outwards from the edge of the mouth, so that ambient air flows in in the gap between the suction flange and the edge of the mouth and through the lower recess over the inner edge of the edge of the mouth can flow into the drinking bottle. Furthermore, because the distance between two successive lower depressions in the radial direction is less than the width of the edge of the mouth of the vessel, a lower depression is always arranged partially above the edge of the mouth. As a result, the mouth is sealed when there is no negative pressure in the vessel and ambient air can flow into the vessel through the gap between the suction flange and the mouth as well as the lower recess if there is a negative pressure.
