Description

AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an air-conditioning system which is used in vehicles and which provides heating-cooling-air conditioning effect in vehicles.
Background of the Invention
As the technology develops, the air conditioning systems in vehicles have been diversified. However no improvement has been made for reducing the noise inside the vehicle. Today, noise levels of the fans used in in-vehicle air conditioning systems are high and the fans are located inside the cabin. This is one of the elements that adversely affect customer satisfaction. In addition to that, contact of the fans, which are used in in-vehicle air conditioning systems, with air causes air turbulence. In this case, efficiency of the flow decreases and noise level increases.
Power consumption is very high in air conditioning systems used in vehicles. Besides, their volumes, weights and costs are also high.
The fans provided in air conditioning modules are used only in air conditioning systems and they cannot be used anywhere else in the vehicle.
The Japanese Patent document no. , an application known in the art, discloses a vehicle air conditioning system running efficiently and quietly. Air and smoke in the vehicle are sucked in from a ceiling part intake port. Then the air is discharged outside through a rear exhaust port by the help of a valve. When the air is wished to be cleaned, a position of the valve is changed so that air can be passed through a filter and cleaned and then given back into the cabin.
United States patent document no. US2010100306, an application known in the state of the art, discloses a system which controls the vehicle properties when the vehicle is in idle condition. The system performs control function by the help of a control unit and a computer. The air conditioning system is connected to a battery for fuel efficiency. The batteries provide silent operation for the air conditioning system.
United States patent document no. US2010100306, an application known in the state of the art, discloses a vehicle air conditioning system with silent operation. Silent operation is made possible by reducing the rotation speed of the cooling fan. In case the interior of the vehicle is quiet, rotation speed is maintained low even when the air conditioner system stops.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide an air conditioning system which reduces the noise level in the vehicle cabin.
Another objective of the invention is to provide an air conditioning system wherein no turbulence occurs since the air accelerated within the cab does not contact a fan wheel, and a laminar quiet flow is provided.
A further objective of the invention is to provide an air conditioning system wherein, in case of need, the motor cooling system can be operated by a side pressurizer. Another objective of the invention is to provide an air conditioning system whose power consumption is lower compared to the state of the art air conditioning systems. A further objective of the invention is to provide an air conditioning system whose weight is reduced compared to the air conditioning systems that are currently being used.
Another objective of the invention is to provide an air conditioning system with a lower cost compared to the state of the art.
Detailed Description of the Invention
"An air conditioning system" developed to fulfill the objective of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figure wherein,
Figure 1 is a schematic view of the air conditioning system.
The components given in the figure are assigned reference numbers as follows
1. Air conditioning system
2. Turbo fan
3. Cooling unit
4. Serpentine
5. Evaporator
6. Air amplifier
7. Air line
8. Air duct
9. Blower
M. . Motor cab
C. Vehicle cabin The air conditioning system (1), which provides heating-cooling-air conditioning effect in the vehicle, basically comprises
at least one turbo fan (2) which is located in the motor cab (M),
- at least one cooling unit (3) which is located in the motor cab (M),
at least one serpentine (4) which is located within the cooling unit (3) and which enables to enlarge the contact area of the heated or cooled fluid to the surface,
at least one evaporator (5) wherein the coolant in the cooling unit (3) enters as a liquid and upon evaporating passes to gas phase,
at least one air amplifier (6) which is located in the cooling unit (3) and which pressurizes the supply air,
at least one air line (7) which connects the turbo fan (2) and the air amplifier (6) in the cooling unit (3) to each other,
- at least one air duct (8) which is used to deliver the air coming from the cooling unit (3) to the vehicle cabin (C),
at least one blower (8) to which the air ducts (8) are connected and which delivers the air cooled in the cooling unit (3) into the vehicle cabin (C). In the air conditioning system (1) of the present invention, upon cancelling the fan in the air conditioning modules used in the state of the art, the section where the fan is mounted is re-designed in compliance with the Coanda curves and an air amplifier (6) is used in the cooling unit (3) in place of the fan. The turbo fan (2) and the air amplifier (6) in the cooling unit (3) are connected to each other by a pressurized air line (7). The section of the air amplifier (6) has a protrusion that allows entrance of the pressurized air. The pressurized air, which is generated by a high-speed pressurized turbo fan (2) arranged in the motor cab (M), is connected to the protrusion provided on the surface of the air amplifier (6) via an air line (7). Output speed of the air blowers (9) can be changed by changing the pressure value of the electrical turbofan (2) by the control system.
Since the air amplifier (6) working with the new section can suck air up to 15-18 times of the supply air and accelerate it, the vehicle cabin (C) air is sucked and upon being passed through the filter, heater and cooler, can be used in the same air conditioning system (1).
Since the turbo pressurizing motor and the pressurizing fan are outside of the vehicle cabin (C), the noise does not reach the inside of the cabin. The flow formed by the air amplifier (6) is a linear flow and no turbulence occurs on the accelerator nor any noise associated with it. Weight and size of the turbo pressurizer fan are smaller than the fans used in vehicle air conditioning modules. Additionally, they consume less energy since they work more efficiently. As the cooling unit (3) fan is cancelled as well and converted into an air amplifier (6), two system air flows can be enabled by a single fan by means of a larger turbo fan. This reduces vehicle electricity consumption in addition to providing volume and weight advantage. By means of the air conditioning system (1) of the present invention, the noise level inside the vehicle cabin (C) is reduced, no turbulence occurs since the air accelerated within the motor cab (M) does not contact a fan wheel, and a laminar quiet flow is provided. Additionally, the motor cooling unit (3) can be operated by the same pressurizer in case of need. The air conditioning system (1) of the present invention is an air conditioning system (1) with low power consumption, reduced weight and lower cost compared to the state of the art air conditioning modules.
