    - an outer stop element or, as applicable, abutment element (26) assigned to the free end (20) of the mandrel (16) is swivellably disposed on the carriage (28) for a new roll (12) to be slid onto the mandrel (16) or, as applicable, for a used-up roll (12) to be removed.
  2. The apparatus according to claim 1, with a sensor device (36) for the detection of a winding quality and/or of a parallelism of layers of the flat material and/or film material (14) wound onto the roll (12), wherein the motor drive for the adjustment of the axial guidance device parallel to the longitudinal extension direction of the rotatable mandrel (16) is signal-technically and/or regulation-technically coupled with the sensor device (36).
  3. The apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, in which the roll holder comprises the mandrel (16), the axial guidance device, stops, a complete frame of the holder including the mandrel (16) and the stops.
  4. The apparatus according to claim 1, in which the at least two stop elements or, as applicable, abutment elements (24, 26) are adjustable together in longitudinal extension direction of the rotatable mandrel (16).
  5. The apparatus according to one of the claims 1 to 4, in which the roll (12) with flat material and/or film material (14) is centred in a fixed and/or clamped condition on the rotatable mandrel (16) by the axial guidance device (22) or, as applicable, by the at least two stop elements or, as applicable, abutment elements (24, 26).
  6. The apparatus according to claim 5, in which the rotatable mandrel (16), the axial guidance device (22) or, as applicable, the at least two stop elements or, as applicable, abutment elements (24, 26), as well as the roll (12) with flat material and/or film material (14) fixed and/or clamped on the mandrel (16) are adjustable and/or centrable together in longitudinal extension direction of the mandrel (16) during operation.
  7. The apparatus according to claim 5, in which the rotatable mandrel (16), the axial guidance device (22) or, as applicable, the at least two stop elements or, as applicable, abutment elements (24, 26), as well as the roll (12) with flat material and/or film material (14) fixed and/or clamped on the mandrel (16) are pre-centrable together prior to operation start-up and/or prior to an unwinding of the flat material and/or film material (14) located on the roll (12).
  8. The apparatus according to claim 1, in which the mandrel (16) is shiftable and/or extendable toward its free end (20) for a new roll (12) to be slid onto the mandrel (16) or, as applicable, for a used-up roll (12) to be removed.
  9. The apparatus according to claim 1 or 7, in which a welding unit for the automatic and/or partly automatic connection of an end of film material or flat material (14) to a material start of a newly inserted roll (12) is movable or shiftable outward, together with the mandrel (16) or in a temporally staggered manner, toward the free end (20) of the mandrel (16).
  10. The apparatus according to one of the claims 1 to 9, in which the sensor device (36) comprises an optical sensor, which is signal-technically and/or regulation-technically coupled at least with the motor drive for the carriage/carriages (28) that is/are shiftable in longitudinal extension direction of the mandrel (16).
  11. A container packaging facility with a holding and unwinding apparatus (10) for flat material and/or film material (14) wound onto rolls (12), a film wrapping module for the wrapping of containers into the flat material and/or film material (14), the film wrapping module being disposed downstream in transport direction of the flat material and/or film material (14), and a shrinking apparatus for heat shrinking the film or, as applicable, the flat material onto the containers, the shrinking apparatus being disposed downstream in container transport direction from the film wrapping module, which holding and unwinding apparatus (10) is designed according to one of the claims 1 to 10.
  12. A method for changing a roll (12) with flat material and/or film material (14) wound thereonto inside a holding and unwinding apparatus (10) according to one of the claims 1 to 8, which roll (12) is slidable with its hollow or its hollow cylindrical core onto a rotatable mandrel (16) that is mounted at least on one side, wherein an axial guidance device (22) is assigned to the mandrel (16), which axial guidance device (22) is adjustable in longitudinal extension direction of the mandrel (16), and which axial guidance device (22) axially guides the roll (12) during an unwinding process, and wherein at least one outer stop element or, as applicable, abutment element (26) of the axial guidance device (22) - the stop element or, as applicable, abutment element (26) being assigned to the free end (20) of the mandrel (16) - is swivellably disposed on a carriage (28) that is motor-adjustable parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mandrel (16) for a new roll (12) to be slid onto the mandrel (16) or, as applicable, for a used-up roll (12) to be removed, and is swivelled to release the roll (12),
    characterised in that
    - the axial guidance device (22) is formed by at least two stop elements or, as applicable, abutment elements (24, 26), which are disposed on both sides of the roll (12) with flat material and/or film material (14), and between which the roll (12) rotates, and in that
    - the at least two stop elements or, as applicable, abutment elements (24, 26) are in each instance disposed on carriages (28) or on a common carriage (28), which carriage/carriages (28) is/are motor-adjusted below the mandrel (16) parallel to the longitudinal extension thereof, and in that
    - an outer stop element or, as applicable, abutment element (26) assigned to the free end (20) of the mandrel (16) is swivelled on the carriage (28) for a new roll (12) to be slid onto the mandrel (16) or, as applicable, for a used-up roll (12) to be removed.
  13. The method according to claim 12, in which the mandrel (16) is shifted and/or extended toward its free end (20) for a new roll (12) to be slid onto the mandrel (16) or, as applicable, for a used-up roll (12) to be removed.
  14. The method according to claim 12 or 13, in which a welding unit for the automatic and/or partly automatic connection of an end of film material or flat material (14) to a material start of a newly inserted roll (12) is moved or shifted outward, together with the mandrel (16) or in a temporally staggered manner, toward the free end (20) of the mandrel (16).
