Description

The invention relates to a flexible storage device for the packaging of bulk solids. The field of the invention is that of large containers intended for the packaging of large quantities of particulate solids, also known as GRVS ( Flexible Bulk Container ) or FIBC ( Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container ) bags. . These storage devices have been known for many years and used for the protection, storage and transport of bulk materials.

These containers are conventionally made of polymer fiber webs (for example PP, HDPE, LLDPE), possibly sealed. The capacity of these containers is generally between 0.2 and 2 m 3 . The large size and mass of containers, once filled, make their handling difficult, even in some cases dangerous. In order to optimize the storage capacities, the flexible container often has rectangular bottom and side walls, thus forming a substantially parallelepipedal storage volume. When the devices are juxtaposed, such a parallelepipedal volume allows optimal filling of the available storage area.

In a way that is noticeable to those skilled in the art, an inherent advantage of such storage devices, advantageously flexible, is that they can, when not used, be stored in a position of less space, substantially folded flat, or even often in the compressed state.

Thus, the manufacturers of such large flexible bulk containers often deliver these storage devices in the form of a set in the compressed state, comprising a plurality of flexible storage devices, in their position substantially folded flat, stacked the on each other, and held against each other in the compressed state by links surrounding the stack of said set.

In order to minimize the bulk during transport, it is thus known to subject the stack to the action of a packaging machine which comprises a press, exerting on the devices a force, typically of several tons. A system of belting of the machine allows, together with the action of the press, the tightening of several links intended to surround the stack and to keep the devices against each other. These links ensure the maintenance of the stack in the compressed state, once the press deviates.

Given the storage capacities, these flexible storage devices are not handled by force of man, but lifted by means of a lifting system, typically hydraulic / motorized. To this end, the flexible storage devices of the state of the art are provided with suspension loops, conventionally in the form of flexible straps, typically four in number, and stitched at the four corners of the flexible container. These suspension loops are intended to be hung together by the lifting system to allow its handling.

According to the findings of the inventor, the storage devices of the state of the art require human intervention to hang the suspension loops to the lifting system, then to unhook the suspension loops of the lifting system.

The loops being small, they can not be joined without the use of a specific lifting equipment, which can include four chains, and four carabiners to be hooked respectively to the four loops of the bag suspension GRVS.

As an alternative to this chain and carabiner equipment, the suspension loops of the bag can be combined by using a lifting beam, intermediate, often in the form of a welded machine, and which comprises four hooks, separate and distant, lower, for the respective clashes of the four loops of the bag GRVS.

During the hooking operation, the operator grasps the suspension loops, lifts them by hooking them successively to the different attachment zones of the equipment. Conversely, and during stall operations, the operator must intervene to successively unhook the suspension loops.

According to the findings of the inventor, these operations are dangerous, especially when they take place at a high point, such as for example on a storage shelf, or on the upper surface of the loading of the bucket of a truck , and from which the operator is likely to fall. The document AU 2009 100 871 discloses a storage device according to the preamble of claim 1. The object of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks by proposing a storage device for bulk, flexible, which greatly simplifies the container handling operations, allowing to avoid the presence of an operator during the operations of hanging or unhooking of the suspension loops.

Another object of the present invention is to propose, at least according to one embodiment, such a storage device which can be grasped and quickly removed, without human intervention, by a single hook lifting system.

Another object of the present invention is to provide such a flexible bulk storage device which, at least according to one embodiment, remains compatible with the press packaging devices, and can thus be strongly compressed in the form a stack of devices folded flat, without risk of tampering with said storage device.

Another object of the present invention is to provide such a storage device, which, at least according to one embodiment, maximizes the capacity of the storage surfaces.

Another object of the present invention is to provide such a flexible storage device, which, at least according to one embodiment, is easy to recycle.

Other goals and advantages will become apparent from the following description which is given for information only and which is not intended to limit it.

Also the invention relates to a storage device 1, for the packaging of bulk materials, comprising:
  • A flexible container 2, defined at least by a bottom wall 20 and side walls 21, 22, 23, 24, forming a material storage volume,
  • Suspension loops 3, 4, flexible, in the upper part of the container for lifting.

Said storage device is flexible, and can in particular go from a storage position P0, substantially folded flat to a use position P1, substantially in volume.

The walls of the flexible container 2, in particular the bottom wall 20 and side walls 21, 22, 23, 24 may be made of a fabric of polymer fibers, in particular a raw, rolled or even coated fabric (for example PP, HDPE , LLDPE). The container can also receive an inner liner insert, in a polymer film, and coming to cover the side walls of the container, or even the bottom wall, and to improve the sealing of the container.

According to the invention, said suspension loops 3, 4 have a stiffness such that the suspension loops are self-supporting, in the use position P1, substantially in volume of the storage device. Said suspension loops 3.4 then project above the flexible container, advantageously without external assistance, to ensure their maintenance in this position where they are likely to be hooked. Said loops, taken as a whole (when connected to their upper part), are self-supporting in that they project above the flexible container, and are likely to be hooked or unhooked by a lifting system, advantageously without have to be relieved or maintained by an operator.

In particular, said suspension loops have sufficient sizes to be joined at a point passing through the axis of gravity of the storage device. It is thus easier to join the loops.

Such flexible storage devices may, at least according to one embodiment, be compatible with a packaging machine known as such, and as described above, which subjects the press to a stack of flexible storage devices 1, folded flat, and exerts on the stack a force of the order of several tons, to create a stack of storage device, stacked on top of each other, and held against each other; others in the compressed state by links 101 surrounding the stack. In such a case special attention is paid by the inventor for said suspension loops, self-supporting, significant stiffness, are compatible with this compression step, without deterioration thereof.

According to a first embodiment, said suspension loops may be stiff such that, taken individually, each of the suspension loops is held alone, and forms an upward projecting loop, capable of being hooked by a lifting system.

According to a second embodiment, corresponding to the invention, the stiffness of the suspension loops 3, 4 is such that the holding of suspension loops projecting above the flexible container is ensured only once said loops of suspension, connected to their upper part by a connecting means 5. Such an embodiment requires a lower stiffness of the suspension loops to ensure their maintenance (that the first embodiment), in that said suspension loops support against each other, at their upper part.

According to the invention, said storage device comprises said connecting means 5, possibly flexible, intended to removably connect said suspension loops 3, 4 by grouping them at their upper part, into a same fastening zone Za . These suspension loops 3, 4 can thus be hung together in this zone Za, by the same member, and for example a hook of a lifting system, and as represented by way of example in FIG. figure 3 .

The connecting means 5 can thus pass from a closed position Pf connecting said suspension loops to one another to an open position Po for which the suspension loops are loosened.

According to one embodiment, said connecting means 5 is integral with one of the suspension loops 3, 4 in said opening position Po, thus avoiding losses of the connecting means in said opening position Po. said connecting means 5 is preferably at the highest point of the suspension loop, and / or at a middle portion of said suspension loop.

According to one embodiment, the connecting means 5, flexible, comprises a link, for example textile, in particular in the same material as the container, which is tied around said suspension loops in said closed position, and loosened in the opening position.

Alternatively, said connecting means may comprise an opening / closing system for example of the type loops / hooks also called self-gripping strip, such as for example Velcro® to move from said open position to the closed position, or Conversely. Any other opening / closing system such as clipping means, stapling, can be envisaged. Their design should, however, preferably be compatible with the implementation of a compression step of the devices, and as described above.

Un tel mode de réalisation est illustré à la figure 10 lorsque le dispositif comprend deux boucles de suspension 3,4.According to one embodiment, the connecting means 5 comprises two independent opening / closing elements 51, 52 (for example two links or two opening systems as previously described), which enable the suspension loops to be joined together. 5.7 at two points distant along the suspension loops. Such an embodiment makes it possible to join, against each other, the length sections of the suspension loops, located between the elements 51, 52: the fastening zone Za is then defined by the length sections of the loops 3,4 arranged between these two elements 51, 52. Such an embodiment is illustrated in FIG. figure 10 when the device comprises two suspension loops 3,4.

According to the invention illustrated in the figures, the suspension loops 3,4 each comprise a flexible strap 6 (not self-supporting in itself) fixed at its two ends to the container 2. This strap 6 has a section of free length 60 intermediate, projecting, above the container 2. Each suspension loop 3,4 further comprises an elastic member 7, elongate, in semi-rigid material. This elastic element 7 extends in length along the strap 6 and is stiff such that said elastic member cooperates with said strap 6 to maintain the suspension loop 3, 4 in the self-supporting position. The strap 6 may be in a material such as polymeric fiber.

Said elastic element 7 is provided as an insert in the strap 6. Thus and as illustrated in FIG. figure 2 , the material of the strap 6 forms a fold, receiving insert said elastic member 7, the two edges of the fold being secured to one another, for example by sewing.

According to the invention, said elastic member 7 extends in length, not only along the free length section 60 of said strap, projecting, but also along the ends of the strap 6 attached to the side walls 21, 22 , 23, 24 of the container 2.

According to the invention, said elastic member 7 extends along the ends of the strap 6 fixed to the container, preferably in the vertical direction, and only on a portion of the upper LS length of the container, as illustrated by way of non-limiting example. limiting to figure 4 .

Said length portion of the container LS, on which said upper elastic element extends, can represent between ¼ and ½ of the height H of the container such as 1/3 of the height of the container.

According to the inventor, this is a compromise between, on the one hand, a first objective aimed at obtaining a certain stiffness of the suspension loop in order to obtain the maintenance of the suspension loops by protruding in their position where they are likely to be hooked, preferably without external assistance, and secondly, conversely, a second objective to maintain a storage device easily foldable and compressible, in a folded position flat these two objectives are in themselves contradictory.

Said elastic element 7, semi-rigid, is an elongate elastic element, which may be plastic. Said elastic element is a tubular element, for example cylindrical. The advantage of such a tubular element, in comparison with a solid element, is to impart stiffness, by limiting the linear mass of said elongate element.

This low linear mass can allow the flexible storage device to be self-supporting, namely that not only said suspension loops 3 and 7 are self-supporting in said position of use P1 when linked together at their upper part, but also the container (Then empty), and in particular that said elastic element 7 extends only on the upper length portion LS, said lower portion LI of the remaining container, then preferably free of such elastic reinforcement.

The other advantage of an elastic element 7 in tubular form is that it can crash (without deteriorating) and therefore compress, when the stack of flexible storage devices folded flat is subjected to the device press packaging, which can exert on the storage devices and their tubular elastic elements 7, a force of several tons. During this compression step, the air escapes from the tubular elastic element by its open ends.

The wall thickness of said tubular element may be between 1.5 mm and 3 mm, such as 2 mm. For example, said elastic element 7 is a cylindrical section element with an internal diameter of 3 mm and an external diameter of 5 mm, preferably made of plastic.

According to an embodiment optimizing the filling of the storage surfaces, the bottom wall 20 and the side walls 21, 22, 23, 24 can be substantially rectangular, said storage volume being of substantially parallelepiped shape, in said use position in volume of said container. For example, the container can be obtained by assembling five webs, constituting respectively the bottom wall and the four side walls of the container, sewn edge to edge. According to this embodiment, four sewing lines, substantially horizontal, extend along the four sides of the bottom wall and respectively join the bottom wall, on the one hand, and the four side walls, on the other hand. Four substantially vertical seam lines join the side walls in pairs at the four corners A1, A2, A3, A4 of the container.

Alternatively, the parallelepiped-shaped container can be obtained by joining three webs T1, T2, T3, including a first fabric T1 forming the bottom wall 20 at its central part, and two opposite side walls 21 and 23, its ends, and two webs T2, T3, respectively forming the other two opposite side walls 22 and 24 of the container. According to this embodiment illustrated in figure 8 two substantially horizontal seam lines extend along two sides of first fabric T1 and join the bottom wall and the side walls marked 22 and 24. Four substantially vertical seam lines join the side walls 21, 22 , 23, 24 two by two, at the four corners A1, A2, A3, A4 of the container.

According to one embodiment, said suspension loops 3,4 for lifting, self-supporting, in the upper part of the container are two in number. In the case of a parallelepiped-shaped container, as described above, each of the suspension loops 3, 4 connects at its two ends two consecutive angles A1, A2 (or A3, A4) of the parallelepipedal storage volume, level of the vertical edges of the container.

In particular, and when the suspension loops 3, 4 each comprise a strap 6, flexible, fastened at both ends to the container, as well as an elastic element 7, elongated, said strap 6 is fixed by its two ends respectively along the vertical edges of two angles A1 and A2 (or A3 and A4) of the container 2, and preferably over most of the height of the container, in particular over the entire height of the container, for example by sewing between the strap 6 and the canvas of the container 2.

Thus, and in the embodiment of the figures, the strap 6 of the suspension loop 3 is fixed by its two ends, respectively at the angles A1 and A2 of the container 2, and preferably over the entire height of the edges, and the strap 6 of the other suspension loop 4 is fixed by its two ends to the angles A3 and A4 and preferably over the entire height of the edges.

In order to facilitate recycling, the flexible container 2 forming the bottom wall 20 and the side walls 21, 22, 23, 24, as well as the said suspension loops 3, 4, including, where appropriate, the said straps and the said elastic elements, even the connecting means 5 are in the same plastic material.

According to one embodiment, illustrated in a non-limiting manner to the figure 5 , the container 2 may comprise a tubular skirt 8 whose outer perimeter is fixed on the upper contour of the side walls, and for closing the upper opening of the container by the installation of a closure link 9.

According to one embodiment, illustrated in a non-limiting manner to the figure 5 , the container 2 may comprise other loops, namely including handling straps, fixed at the bottom of the container. These handling straps 10, 11 facilitate the tilting of the storage device, filled and placed on the ground, for unloading.
