Claims (11)

  1. An electrical switch (1) comprising:
    • at least first and second stationary contact elements (10, 11) that are fastened in an insulating casing (20) at a distance from each other;
    • a movable contact element (30) that is adapted to rock in the insulating casing (20) between a first stable position in which it opens electrical contact between the first and second stationary contact elements (10, 11), and a second stable position in which it closes electrical contact between the first and second stationary contact elements (10, 11);
    • a control button (40) that is mounted to move relative to the insulating casing (20), so as to control the movement of the movable contact element (30) between its first and second stable positions; and
    • brake means (50) for braking the rocking of the movable contact element (30) between its two stable positions;
    the electrical switch being characterized in that said brake means comprise a brake accessory (50) having a support portion (51) that is fastened to the control button (40) and having a damping portion (52) that forms an elastically-deformable bearing for said movable contact element (30), making it possible to brake its rocking towards its second stable position.
  2. An electrical switch (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein said damping portion (52) is movable in pivoting relative to the support portion (51).
  3. An electrical switch (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein said damping portion (52) is connected to said support portion (51) via an elastically-deformable hinge.
  4. An electrical switch (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein, when said movable contact element (30) is in its first stable position, said damping portion (52) is situated at a distance from said movable contact element (30), in a position such that it is adapted to be struck by said movable contact element (30) when it rocks into its second stable position.
  5. An electrical switch (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein said brake accessory (50) includes another damping portion (53) that is adapted to brake said movable contact element (30) while moving from its second stable position into its first stable position.
  6. An electrical switch (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein said other damping portion (53) is connected to said support portion (51) via an elastically-deformable hinge.
  7. An electrical switch (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein each damping portion (52, 53) comprises an arm (52B, 53B) that is connected to the support portion (51), and a rigid pin (52C, 53C) that is adapted to come into contact with said movable contact element (30) and that is made out of a material that is different from the material of the arms (52B, 53B).
  8. An electrical switch (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein a third stationary contact element (12) is provided, and wherein said movable contact element (30) is adapted to establish electrical contact between the first stationary contact element (10) and the third stationary contact element (12) when it is in its first stable position.
  9. An electrical switch (1) according to claim 5 and claim 8, wherein:
    • the second and third stationary contact elements (11, 12) are situated on either side of the first stationary contact element (10);
    • the movable contact element (30) presents a central portion that is mounted to rock on the first stationary contact element (10), and two end portions that are adapted to come into contact with the second and third stationary contact elements (11, 12); and
    • the two damping portions (52, 53) form two wings that are situated on either side of the support portion (51) such that they are adapted to come into contact with the two end portions respectively of the movable contact element (30).
  10. An electrical switch (1) according to any preceding claim, wherein resilient toggle means (60) are provided that, in response to an action exerted on the control button (40), and after passing through a hard point, are suitable for urging the movable contact element (30) towards one or the other of its stable positions, and then for holding it resiliently in that stable position.
  11. An electrical switch (1) according to the preceding claim, wherein the resilient toggle means (60) comprise a piston (61) that is housed in an open chamber that is defined by the control button (40), and a return spring (62) for holding the piston (61) projecting out from said chamber, and bearing against said movable contact element (30).
