Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hardness adjusting device for a three-slat arrangement of a bed slatted frame comprising the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- the invention also relates to a slat assembly equipped with at least one such hardness adjuster and to a slatted frame equipped with at least one such hardness adjuster.
- Such a hardness adjustment device is used in a three-slat assembly having two juxtaposed upper slats and a lower slat disposed thereunder.
- the lower batten is arranged centrally between the two upper slats.
- the hardness adjuster itself has a holding portion for attaching the hardness adjuster to the upper slats and a support portion for supporting the hardness adjuster on the lower slat.
- the upper slats have a predetermined spring elasticity.
- the lower batten also has a predetermined spring elasticity.
- the upper slats can be coupled to the lower slat, whereby the spring elasticity of the entire three slat arrangement can be determined. Furthermore, by varying the position of the hardness adjuster along the slat longitudinal axis, the location of the coupling between the upper slats and the lower slat can also be changed, which is accompanied by a corresponding variation in the spring elasticity of the slat assembly.
- the hardness adjustment device is expediently designed as a slide, as in the case of the abovementioned EP 1 425 996 A2 .
- the hardness adjustment can be easily removed from the Dreilattenan instruct and installed in another Dreilattenan instruct, which is from the above EP 1 425 996 A2 known hardness adjustment device also equipped with a receiving chamber through which the two upper slats extend therethrough.
- the holding region is equipped with a retaining clip for fixing the hardness adjusting device on the three-bar arrangement, which is adjustable between a closed position and an open position.
- the headband engages in the closed position, the two upper slats on a side facing away from the lower batten top and closes the receiving chamber in the circumferential direction of the upper slats, so that the receiving chamber completely surrounds the two upper slats in the circumferential direction.

- the locking bracket is associated with a locking device which secures the headband in its closed position.
- EP 1 584 269 A2 Another example is out EP 1 584 269 A2 known. It has been found that with such a hardness adjustment device designed as a slide to change the spring stiffness of the three-slat assembly by displacing the hardness adjuster along the three-slat assembly, the respective positioning of the hardness adjuster on the three-slat assembly is not always adequately ensured. In particular, it can be observed that the use of the bed permanently shifts the hardness setting device automatically along the three-slat arrangement, whereby the originally set spring elasticity of the three-slot arrangement changes over time. Since set using the hardness adjustment spring elasticity of each Dreilattenan Aunt set within the slatted frame with great effort and optimized individually for each user of the bed, such automatic adjustment of the hardness adjuster leads to a loss of reclining comfort.
- the present invention is concerned with the problem of providing for a hardness adjustment of the type mentioned an improved or at least another embodiment, which is characterized in particular by an improved positional fixation of the hardness adjustment with respect to the three-slat assembly.
- the invention is based on the general idea of bracing the upper slats within the respective receiving chamber in the closed position of the respective holding bracket with the holding region in such a way that high frictional forces act between the respective upper slat and the holding region, which automatically adjusts the hardness setting device along the three-slat arrangement hinder or even prevent.
- top and bottom refer to a proper installation state of the respective holding device and the respective slatted frame in a bed, so that the slatted frame extends approximately in a horizontal plane.
- “below” is a substrate on which the bed is facing, facing away, while “above” facing away from the ground.

- the useful made of plastic holding area is thus elastically deformed when closing the retaining clip, whereby the bias is generated, which ultimately presses the respective side wall to the outer longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten.
- Such an embodiment can be realized particularly easily.
- the two bearing receptacles are formed in a common receiving chamber, which is associated with a common headband, which engages over both upper slats in the closed position. This embodiment can be realized particularly inexpensive.
- the biasing means are completely or partially formed by at least one lattice spacer element which comes into abutment in the closed position of the respective retaining bracket on both upper slats at the inner longitudinal edge and thereby the respective upper batten laterally against the respective outer side wall presses each bar pickup with said bias.
- the preload for increasing the friction between the respective upper lath and the bearing receptacle can be realized particularly easily.
- the respective lattice spacer element may expediently be in contact with the upper slats outside the respective lath receptacle.
- the lattice spacer penetrates the inner side walls, for example in a slot, in order to be in contact therewith with the upper laths.
- the biasing means are completely or partially formed by at least one inner wall spacer, which engages in the closed position of the respective retaining bracket in a space arranged between the two inner side walls gap and presses the two inner side walls by elastic deformations outward in the direction of the respective outer side wall, so that at the respective upper batten, the respective inner side wall biased against the inner longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten and the respective outer side wall biased against the outer longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten rests.
- the respective inner wall spacer pushes the inner sidewalls outwardly, thereby clamping the respective upper bar between the sidewalls.
- the respective lattice spacer element and / or the respective inner wall spacer element can be a separate component, which can be attached to the rest of the hardness adjustment device for producing the prestressing.
- the respective spacer element can be a separate component, which can be attached to the rest of the hardness adjustment device for producing the prestressing.
- the respective spacer element can be used as a separate component, it is possible to use another suitable material which is better suited for the pretensioning function.
- a plastic may be used which has a higher rigidity than, for example, the side walls, which are to be elastically deformed.
- the adjustable sidewall spacer is disposed between the two inner sidewalls.
- the positioning of the sidewall distance element can be made so that it is accessible only when adjusted in the open position headband to adjust it between the active position and the passive position. Furthermore, it can be provided that the common headband can only be adjusted into the closed position, if previously the side wall spacer has been adjusted to the active position. As a result, an increased reliability is guaranteed.

The present invention is concerned with the problem of providing for a hardness adjustment of the type mentioned an improved or at least another embodiment, which is characterized in particular by an improved positional fixation of the hardness adjustment with respect to the three-slat assembly.
This problem is solved according to the invention by the subject matter of the independent claim. Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims.
The invention is based on the general idea of bracing the upper slats within the respective receiving chamber in the closed position of the respective holding bracket with the holding region in such a way that high frictional forces act between the respective upper slat and the holding region, which automatically adjusts the hardness setting device along the three-slat arrangement hinder or even prevent. By this construction it is achieved that in the hardness adjustment for changing the spring stiffness of the Dreilattenanordnung first, the respective headband must be transferred to the open position to move the hardness adjustment comfortably or non-violently along the Dreilattenanordnung can. With appropriate use of force, it is certainly also possible to move the hardness adjustment along the three-bar arrangement when the respective headband is closed. However, this does not correspond to a proper use of the presented here Härteeinstellvorrichtung. As part of a proper use of the here presented hardness adjustment, these can not be moved along the Dreilattenanordnung as long as the respective headband is moved to its closed position. Thus, permanent positioning is improved even while using the bed equipped therewith.
In order to increase a contact area between the respective upper batten and the holding area, which is accompanied by an increased frictional force transmission between the respective upper batten and the holding area, it is proposed according to the invention to equip the holding area for the two upper batten each with a separate bar receptacle, each two Having side walls for lateral positioning of the respective upper batten and a bottom for placing the respective upper batten. This results in a large-area contacting of the respective upper batten in the associated pickup. Furthermore, biasing means or a biasing means are provided which generate a bias voltage in the closed position of the respective retaining clip. This bias is oriented so that it brings at least one of the side walls laterally at a lateral longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten under bias to the plant. In other words, in the closed position of the respective retaining clip, at least one of the side walls against the longitudinal edge of the upper lath arranged in the lath receptacle is pressed under prestressing within the respective lath receptacle, whereby the frictional force is significantly increased in the region of this side wall. Thus, a very high frictional force can be generated overall between the respective upper batten and the associated lath receptacle when the respective retaining bracket is moved into the closed position. The risk of autonomous displacement of the hardness adjustment is reduced.
In the present context, the relative location "top" and "bottom" refer to a proper installation state of the respective holding device and the respective slatted frame in a bed, so that the slatted frame extends approximately in a horizontal plane. Thus, "below" is a substrate on which the bed is facing, facing away, while "above" facing away from the ground.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the biasing means may be completely or partially formed by the respective headband, for example, by the respective headband is tuned to the respective slats and the respective upper slat that in the closed position of the respective support bracket in the region of the respective slats recording a adjusting the bias generating elastic deformation of the holding portion. The useful made of plastic holding area is thus elastically deformed when closing the retaining clip, whereby the bias is generated, which ultimately presses the respective side wall to the outer longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten. Such an embodiment can be realized particularly easily. According to the two bearing receptacles are formed in a common receiving chamber, which is associated with a common headband, which engages over both upper slats in the closed position. This embodiment can be realized particularly inexpensive.
Another embodiment provides that the biasing means are completely or partially formed by at least one lattice spacer element which comes into abutment in the closed position of the respective retaining bracket on both upper slats at the inner longitudinal edge and thereby the respective upper batten laterally against the respective outer side wall presses each bar pickup with said bias. In conjunction with such a lattice spacer element, the preload for increasing the friction between the respective upper lath and the bearing receptacle can be realized particularly easily. The respective lattice spacer element may expediently be in contact with the upper slats outside the respective lath receptacle. Also conceivable is a variant in which the lattice spacer penetrates the inner side walls, for example in a slot, in order to be in contact therewith with the upper laths. According to the invention, the biasing means are completely or partially formed by at least one inner wall spacer, which engages in the closed position of the respective retaining bracket in a space arranged between the two inner side walls gap and presses the two inner side walls by elastic deformations outward in the direction of the respective outer side wall, so that at the respective upper batten, the respective inner side wall biased against the inner longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten and the respective outer side wall biased against the outer longitudinal edge of the respective upper batten rests. In other words, the respective inner wall spacer pushes the inner sidewalls outwardly, thereby clamping the respective upper bar between the sidewalls.
In an advantageous development, the respective lattice spacer element and / or the respective inner wall spacer element can be a separate component, which can be attached to the rest of the hardness adjustment device for producing the prestressing. By realizing the respective spacer element as a separate component, it is possible to use another suitable material which is better suited for the pretensioning function. For example, a plastic may be used which has a higher rigidity than, for example, the side walls, which are to be elastically deformed. According to the invention, the adjustable sidewall spacer is disposed between the two inner sidewalls. If provided a common headband for both lath recordings is, the positioning of the sidewall distance element can be made so that it is accessible only when adjusted in the open position headband to adjust it between the active position and the passive position. Furthermore, it can be provided that the common headband can only be adjusted into the closed position, if previously the side wall spacer has been adjusted to the active position. As a result, an increased reliability is guaranteed.
Corresponding may in principle also be provided for the respective lattice spacer element. Accordingly, in principle, the lattice spacer element, for example in the form of an eccentric or a slider between an active position in which it pushes the two upper slats to the outside, and a passive position adjustable be arranged on the holding area, in which it does not after the two upper slats presses outside. Again, a coordination with the common headband can be done, such that an adjustment of the lattice spacer in the passive position is only possible with the headband open and / or that an adjustment of the retaining clip in the closed position is only possible if previously the lath distance element in the active position has been adjusted. Again, it is conceivable to arrange the lattice spacer between the inner side walls and to provide them with gaps through which the lattice spacer can interact with the two upper slats.
In another embodiment, the respective lattice spacer may be formed on the common headband, in particular integrally formed thereon. As a result, the lattice spacer is adjustable with the headband, wherein the lattice spacer occupies an active position in the closed position of the retaining clip in which it pushes the two upper slats to the outside, and in the open position of the retaining clip assumes a passive position in which it is the top two Do not push the slats outwards. According to the invention the respective side wall spacer is formed on the common headband, so that it is adjustable with the headband, wherein the side wall spacer occupies an active position in the closed position of the retaining clip, in which it presses the two inner side walls to the outside, and in the open position of the retaining clip a passive position occupies, in which it does not push the two inner side walls to the outside.
In the two above-mentioned embodiments, which can be realized cumulatively or alternatively, the respective spacer element is thus arranged on the headband, in particular integrally formed, and with this jointly adjustable, so that the tension for fixing the position is always present only when the headband in the closed position is adjusted while this tension is released, as soon as the headband is moved to the open position, to allow easy movement of the hardness adjustment along the Dreilattenanordnung.
In another advantageous embodiment of the respective headband may have at least one viewing window in the region of the respective slats receiving, through which an upper side facing away from the respective bottom of the respective upper bar is visible. This embodiment is of particular advantage when the upper slats have on their upper side markings which correlate with degrees of hardness which are adjustable by means of the spring elasticity adjustment device of the three-slat arrangement. It is conceivable, for example, a hardness scale of 0-9, so that a total of ten different degrees of hardness for the spring stiffness of the three-bar arrangement are adjustable. With the aid of these markings and with the aid of the viewing windows, it is particularly easy to set the respective degree of hardness for the respective user. The respective viewing window is preferably formed by a passage opening in the headband, the is completely within the retaining bracket, that is completely bordered by an edge.
In another embodiment, the respective floor may be convexly curved toward the respective upper batten. In this way, when clamping the retaining clip a tension of the respective upper batten between headband and ground can be realized, thereby increasing the effective frictional forces.
A three-slat assembly according to the invention comprises two upper slats and a lower slat arranged thereunder, wherein at least one hardness adjustment device of the type described above is attached to the upper slats of the three-slat assembly.
A slatted frame according to the invention intended for use in a bed has a frame supporting an upper slatted layer and a lower slatted layer. The upper batten layer has a plurality of upper slats attached to the frame. The lower batten layer is disposed below the upper batten layer and has a plurality of lower slats attached to the frame. Within this slatted frame, at least one three-slat arrangement is formed which comprises two upper slats of the upper slatted layer and a lower slat of the lower slatted layer, wherein at least one hardness adjustment device of the type described above is attached to the upper slats of the three-slat arrangement.
