Description

The invention relates to a case, in particular a hard case, the case having a first and a second broad side according to the preamble of claim 1.

Shell cases, and here in particular hard case, are well known from the prior art. Such shell cases usually consist of two shell halves, the top of which each defines a broad side. Forming the narrow side of the shell case, the two case halves are connected to form the shell case. With such a shell case it can also be provided that the connection of the two shell halves in the area of the narrow side does not take place directly, but indirectly through a circumferential web. The means that each case half is connected to the web when the shell case is closed. It can be provided that one half of the shell is firmly connected to the web, whereas the other half of the shell is releasably connected to the web to open the case.

Installers who go to outdoor operations often have to take a large number of tool cases with them. So far, it has been the case that such tool cases are placed individually in the trunk of the vehicle, where they may also change their position when braking or accelerating.

The US 3,974,898 A shows in this context stackable suitcases, here the stackability is guaranteed by circumferential frets that run side by side in the stacked condition of the suitcases. This means that the top of the case and the bottom of the case each have a collar that is different in terms of the circumference.

The DE 20 2012 10 27 60 U1 leaves a similar design as that US 3,974,898 A detect. Here, too, the cases can only be stacked on one another with certain broad sides.

In the DE 31 07 882 A only the stackability is mentioned, without this being described in more detail there.

From the closest prior art according to the EP 0 359 903 A1 a stackable suitcase is known, cams being provided in the corner regions of the suitcase and extending over only half of the top and bottom of the case corner. Due to the different orientations of the cams on the upward and downward corners of the case, the suitability of the cases on top of one another is achieved. Here the cams on the stacking case prevent the case from slipping or at least make it difficult.

The object on which the invention is based is to couple the shell cases in the plane with one another in stacked shell cases, in particular made of plastic, that is to say to fix them in such a way that they do not easily change their position even when braking or accelerating.

The features of the characterizing part of claim 1 in conjunction with the features of the preamble serve to achieve the object. In this case, for stacking shell cases on their broad sides, each shell case has on at least one broad side a device for arresting the adjacent shell case in the plane of the broad side.

It is furthermore provided that the device has at least one collar that is arranged on the broad side of the shell case and that protrudes in height above the broad side. The covenant, also referred to as a rim or ring, on the broad side of one case takes with the covenant on the broad side of the other z. B. overlying suitcase a locking position. This means that the two cases are locked together in the plane of the broad side, that is to say in the plane of the top and bottom of the shell case. The strength of the snap connection is also dependent on the weight of the upper shell case. The collar can be formed on the broad side of the shell case, particularly in a rectangular shape. It is advantageous here if the collar is arranged in the edge region on the broad side of the shell case, since in this case, due to the length of the collar, a relatively large latching area is available when the two shell cases with their respective collar interlocking. In any case, the frets on the broad sides of the two case shells must be designed so that they interlock. This means that they have to be coordinated with one another in terms of their scope and their design, so that several shell cases can be stacked on top of one another with essentially no play.

With regard to the formation of the federal government, it is provided that the federal government has at least one inner and at least one outer edge. Here, the outer edge of a collar on a broad side of a shell case is higher than the inner edge. Correspondingly, the broad side of the adjacent case can have a collar in which the inner edge is higher than the outer edge, measured in each case from the top of the broad side of the shell case. The distance between the inner and outer edges and the angular position of the connecting surface between the outer and inner edges are the same or identical. It is clear from this that in such a case two shell cases can be stacked, the waistband of which is designed differently on the broad side, but is nevertheless designed such that when the two cases are placed one on top of the other, one waistband rests in the other waistband. This also means that the frets on the two broad sides of the shell case are adjusted to one another from the circumference in such a way that they lock together with one another essentially without play when two or more identical cases are stacked on top of one another.

Furthermore, the at least one inner and the at least one outer edge have a different height in the corner regions of the preferably rectangularly extending collar. In particular, it is provided that two diagonally opposite corner regions of the federal government are identical or identical are trained. As a result, the collar is identical on each broad side of the shell case. This means that if the two shells of the shell case were placed next to each other, i.e. side by side, then the two frets on the broad side of the two shells of a shell case would be identical in terms of the circumference and design of the two frets. This means that shell cases can be stacked if the frets of the cases to be stacked are identical or identical. This has the great advantage that at z. B. a rectangular circumferential collar, no matter which broad side the suitcases come to lie on one another and also no matter how the orientation of the suitcases is, for example whether the front of one suitcase is over the back of the other suitcase, the two suitcases to be stacked always come into a locking position via the two frets.

In this context, it is particularly provided that in the case of two mutually opposite first corner regions, the at least one outer edge is higher than the at least one inner edge, with the further two mutually opposite second corner regions the at least one inner edge being higher than the at least one outer edge Edge. As has already been explained above, this means that, in the case of four corner areas, the diagonally opposite corner areas are always identical. In detail, with regard to the guidance of the inner or the outer edge, it is provided that the distance between the inner and the outer edge is essentially the same or identical in each corner region. The angular position of the surface between the outer edge and the inner edge is essentially identical. The first corner area is also characterized in that the inner edge runs in the broad side of the shell case. This means that the inner edge is formed by the transition area between the broad side and the collar, in each case in the first corner area. The inner edge runs in the second corner area at a distance from the broad side of the shell case, which means that the inner edge runs above the outer edge on the collar. Both edges are not only staggered in height, but also laterally offset; otherwise there would be no covenant.

The edges change continuously in relation to one another in the case of a collar arranged circumferentially on the broad side of the shell case in the connection from a corner area to the adjacent corner area, the outer and inner edges having the same height in the middle area between two adjacent corner areas. It is clear from this that the latching between the two associated frets of the two adjacent broad sides of two suitcases are connected to one another not only in the corner regions, but rather over the entire length of the circumferential, in particular rectangular, circumferential collar.

The invention is explained in more detail below using the drawing as an example.

The shell case, designated overall by 1, comprises the two shell halves 3 and 5. The two shell halves 3 and 5 are folded towards one another to form the closed shell case. The handle designated 9 comprises snap locks 11, with which the two shell halves 3 and 5 are connected to one another.

The broad side of the shell case 1 is designated 7. The broad side 7 can also be referred to as the top or bottom of the case. On the broad side, the collar 20 is arranged in a rectangular shape all around in the edge region. The covenant protrudes above the broad side 7 of the shell case 1, as can be clearly seen in the single figure. Such a collar 20 is found in an identical form on each broad side 7 of each shell half of a shell case 1, so that several of the shell cases 1 can be stacked on top of one another. The collar 20, which, as already stated, is arranged in a circular shape on the broad side in the region of the edge of the broad side, comprises two first corner regions 22 and two second corner regions 24. In addition, the collar has at least two edges on the upper side, namely an outer one Edge 26 and an inner edge 28. In the first corner area 22, the inner edge 28 runs below the outer edge 26. In the area of the second corner area 24, it is exactly the opposite, here the outer edge 26 runs below the inner edge 28. Between the outer edge 26 and inner edge 28 are each formed in the respective corner area 22 and 24 an oblique surface. In the first corner region 22, the inner surface formed between the outer edge and the inner edge is designated by 30, the surface 30 being directed toward the broad side 7 of the shell case 1. The outer surface 32 in the second corner area, which is directed outwards, is quite different. At least the angular position of both surfaces, ie both the inner surface and the outer surface relative to the horizontal, is the same here. In the central region 34, the inner edge 28 and the outer edge 26 run in one plane.

If two shell cases 1 are now stacked on top of one another, the second corner area 24 is received by the first corner area 22. That is, no matter how the shell cases 1 are stacked on top of each other, the first corner area 22 always receives the second corner area 24 of the federal government 20. This creates a positive connection between the two frets 20, at least in the respective corner area, which leads to a latching of the two shell cases stacked on top of one another.

A shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, wherein the shell case (1) has a first and a second broad side (7), wherein for stacking shell cases on their broad sides (7), each shell case (1) has on at least one broad side (7) a device for arrestingly receiving the adjacent shell case (1) in the plane of the broad side (7),
wherein the device has at least one collar (20) arranged on the broad side (7) of the shell case (1) projecting above the broad side (7) in height,
wherein the collar (20) is circumferentially formed on the broad side (7) of the shell case (1),
wherein the collar (20) has at least one outer and at least one inner edge (26, 28),
wherein for an arresting, stackable reception of the adjacent shell case the outer and the inner edge (26, 28) of the diagonally opposite corner regions (22, 24) of the collar (20) have a different height,
    characterized in that
the edges (26, 28) of a collar (20) circumferentially arranged on the broad side (7) of the shell case (1) continuously change their height relative to one another in the connection from one corner region (22) to the adjacent corner region (24), wherein, in the central region (34) between two adjacent corner regions (22, 24), the outer and the inner edges (26, 28) have the same height.
  2. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, according to claim 1,
    characterized in that
the collar (20) is formed to be rectangularly circumferential in plan view.
  3. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case according to claim 1 or 2,
    characterized in that
respectively two diagonally opposite corner regions (22, 24) of the collar (20) are formed identically.
  4. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, according to one of the aforementioned claims,
    characterized in that
with two first corner regions (22) located opposite one another the outer edge (26) lies higher than the inner edge (28), wherein in the further two second corner regions (24) located opposite one another the inner edge (28) lies higher than the outer edge (26).
  5. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, according to claim 4,
    characterized in that
the distance between the inner edge (28) and the outer edge (26) is substantially equal in each corner region (22, 24).
  6. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case according to claim 4 or 5,
    characterized in that
in the respective first corner region (22) the inner edge (28) runs in the broad side (7) of the shell case (1).
  7. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, according to claim 4 or 5,
    characterized in that
in the respective second corner region (24) the inner edge (28) runs at a distance from the broad side (7) of the shell case (1).
  8. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, according to one of the aforementioned claims,
    characterized in that
the angular position of the surfaces (30, 32) between the respective outer and inner edges (26, 28) is substantially the same.
  9. The shell case (1), in particular hard-shell case, according to one of the aforementioned claims,
    characterized in that
the collar (20) is arranged in the edge region on the broad side (7) of the shell case (1).
