- Shelving system (2, 2') with element shelves, each having a cubature of its layout in the form of a basic geometric shape including a hexagon and a rectangle and which can be placed juxtaposed side by side against one another, with a rectangular element shelf with rectangular cubature (16', 16", 16"', 16'''') and with a hexagonal element shelf with hexagonal cubature (14, 14') in which the hexagon of the cubature (14, 14') of the hexagonal element shelf has a distance between two opposite, parallel sides of the cubature which equals the length of one of the sides of the rectangle of the cubature (20) of the rectangular element shelf, each with shelves one above the other, in which opposite sides of the cubature are parallel and the hexagonal element shelf is configured to place an element shelf (4, 6, 4', 6') of the system on the circumference of the hexagon of the cubature on every other side.

- Shelving system (2, 2') according to the preceding claim, in which the length of the narrow side of the rectangle of the cubature (30) and/or the shelves is basically equal to the length of every other side of the hexagon of the cubature (14, 14') and/or the shelves of the hexagon element shelf, on which an element shelf (4, 6, 4', 6') of the system is set on the hexagon element shelf.
