Either way, the light emitting portion 17 may be arranged to extend over a lesser angle than 180°.

  • the slot shaped opening 19 may extend over about 180° as in the shown embodiment or over segmented intervals over an angular spread of at least 90°, and preferably around 180°, and possibly up to 360°.

  • the light source 13 is arranged below the light emitting portion 17 of the reflector 15.
  • the fact that the light source is not located in line with the lens 14 is useful in that it will make sure that the light that will be emitted from the lens 14 will have an even distribution along the whole rounded outer surface 18 of the lens 14.
  • the light source 13 is preferably a LED (Light Emitting Diode) but may be any type of light source that is known in the art. It is advantageous if the light source may emit different colours, such as blue, green, red, and white such that different signals may be produced in the same lens.

Claims (9)

  1. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) für ein Elektrowerkzeug (10), umfassend ein Gehäuse (12), eine elektrische Lichtquelle (13) und mindestens eine Licht übertragende Linse (14), wobei die Anzeigevorrichtung (11) weiter einen Reflektor (15) umfasst, in dem die elektrische Lichtquelle (13) zumindest teilweise enthalten ist, und wobei die mindestens eine Linse (14) eine ebene Form aufweist, die sich von einer Innenfläche (16), die einem Licht ausgebenden Teil (17) des Reflektors (15) zugewandt ist, zu einer gerundeten Außenfläche (18) erstreckt, die dafür ausgelegt ist, sich durch mindestens eine schlitzförmige Öffnung (19) in dem Gehäuse (12) zu erstrecken, wobei die mindestens eine Linse (14) dafür angeordnet ist, Licht in mehreren Richtungen auszugeben, die durch einen Winkel von mindestens 90 Grad entlang des Gehäuses (12) getrennt sind, um ein Lichtsignal bereitzustellen, das von einem weiten Bereich sichtbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Licht ausgebende Teil (17) des Reflektors (15) auf die schlitzförmige Öffnung (19) des Gehäuses (12) ausgerichtet ist, wobei sich die schlitzförmige Öffnung (19) über einen Winkel von mindestens 90° des Gehäuses (12) erstreckt, um ein gerundetes schlitzförmiges Lichtsignal bereitzustellen.
  2. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach Anspruch 1, wobei die mindestens eine Linse (14) dafür angeordnet ist, Licht in mehreren Richtungen auszugeben, die durch einen Winkel von mindestens 150° entlang des Gehäuses (12) getrennt sind.
  3. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach Anspruch 2, die nur eine Licht übertragende Linse (14) aufweist, wobei die Außenfläche (18) der Linse (14) bogenförmig ist und sich durchgehend über einen Winkel von mindestens 150° des Gehäuses (12) erstreckt.
  4. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, die mindestens zwei Licht übertragende Linsen aufweist, die Licht durch mindestens zwei winkelig getrennte schlitzförmige Öffnungen (19) in dem Gehäuse (12) ausgeben.
  5. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei die Anzeigevorrichtung (11) puckförmig ist, wobei das Gehäuse (12) einen im Wesentlichen flachen Abschnitt (31) aufweist, der eine Seite der Anzeigevorrichtung (11) abdeckt, und einen Verbindungsabschnitt (29) an der entgegengesetzten Seite des Signalgebungsstücks zum Verbinden der Anzeigevorrichtung (11) mit einem Elektrowerkzeuggehäuse.
  6. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Gehäuse (12) eine zentrale Vertiefung (26) an der Innenseite eines flachen Abschnitts (31) aufweist, in die ein oberer Teil des Reflektors (15) fest passt, und wobei die Verbindung zwischen der Linse (14) und dem Reflektor (15) wechselseitig die Linse (14) und den Reflektor (15) gegen eine Bewegung in dem Gehäuse (12) sperrt.
  7. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Licht ausgebende Teil (17) des Reflektors (15) aus einem dünnwandigen Segment besteht.
  8. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei sich die elektrische Lichtquelle (13) nicht in der Ausrichtung zwischen dem Licht ausgebenden Teil (17) des Reflektors (15) und der schlitzförmigen Öffnung (19) des Gehäuses (12) befindet, sodass nur reflektiertes Licht durch die Linse (14) ausgegeben wird.
  9. Anzeigevorrichtung (11) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, wobei der Reflektor (15) auf eine Leiterplatte (20) aufgeschnappt ist, die die elektrische Lichtquelle (13) aufweist, sodass die elektrische Lichtquelle (13) innerhalb des Reflektors (15) enthalten ist.
