Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, eine verbesserte Tiefziehverpackungsmaschine zur Verfügung zu stellen, die ein Verschmutzen von Klammerketten minimiert oder die Kontamination von Produkten durch verschmutzte Klammerketten verhindert. Thermo-forming packaging machine (1) comprising a forming station (2), a loading station (3), a sealing station (4) and a cutting station (5) as well as a film transport device (13) with at least one clamp chain (14) for transporting a lower film web (8) in a direction of production (R), where unformed portions of said lower film web (8) are movable in a horizontal film plane (E) along said stations (2, 3, 4, 5) and where a first chain guide device (25) of an upper chain run (22) of said clamp chain (14) is provided in an upper chain guide plane (OE) in the region of said forming station (2), said sealing station (4) and said cutting station (5), characterized in that a second chain guide device (26) of said upper chain run (22) of said clamp chain (14) is provided in a lower chain guide plane (UE) in the region of said loading station (3), where said lower chain guide plane (UE) is disposed lower than said upper chain guide plane (OE).
  2. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to claim 1, characterized in that said lower chain guide plane (UE) is disposed lower than an underside (15a) of trays (15) formed into said lower film web (8).
  3. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said lower chain guide plane (UE) is parallel to said upper chain guide plane (OE).
  4. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a first chain deflection device (27) is provided downstream following said forming station (2) to deflect said upper chain run (22) from said upper chain guide plane (OE) to said lower chain guide plane (UE).
  5. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to claim 4, characterized in that a second chain deflection device (28) is provided upstream before said sealing station (3) in order to deflect said upper chain run (22) from said lower chain guide plane (UE) to said upper chain guide plane (OE).
  6. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said upper chain run (22), which within said loading station (3) is oriented parallel to said film transport plane (E), is protected by a cover (31) from above against fouling or enclosed by a tunnel (32).
  7. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to claim 6, characterized in that also said lower chain run (24), which within said loading station (3) is oriented parallel to said film transport plane (E), is protected by a cover (31) from above against fouling or enclosed by a tunnel (32).
  8. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that said tunnel (32) is configured as being made in one part or several parts.
  9. Thermo-forming packaging machine according to claim 8, characterized in that said tunnel (32) on its underside (32a) comprises cleaning openings (34).
